This is by no means one of the worst movies I have ever seen, but this is one of the most incredibly sub-par and mediocre offerings by Netflix I have ever seen. The biggest problem with the film is that Sierra Burgess herself is a really unlikable protagonist, and has a lot of problematic traits that were written for her. While I thought Shannon Purser did an okay job with what they were given, a lot of the lines feel like they were slapped on a first draft and then never edited or improved later. It's a really lazy Lifetime movie rip-off, and you can find much better things to watch on Netflix.… Expand

I have a very mixed opinion on this film. The title character, Sierra Burgess, isn't the most likeable character and carries very problematic traits. But this is better than some other netflix rom-coms but does fall flat at times. I did enjoyI have a very mixed opinion on this film. The trailer promised something different with a similar plot but ended up being lazily written movie with all the unrealistic clichés u would expect in a teen romance movie. Shannon Purser is nice enough to give a good identity to her character, but everyone around her and the story in general are so conventional as predictable that you will hardly find something relevant or at least good enough reasons to wantShannon Purser is nice enough to give a good identity to her character, but everyone around her and the story in general are so conventional as predictable that you will hardly find something relevant or at least good enough reasons to want to see until the end.
And yes, you can also see the ending coming from a mile away.
