Great! new twists, scary scenes, schoking and violent parts! It is not the usual RE film. It got very different, it is well filmed and writed. I was really surprised.

Don't expecto too much though, as the typical action sequences are plenty and the clichés are always there... But it kind of feels better than most of the previous films. My main complaint is the lack of major characters from the games. Expand

At the beginning Alice (Milla Jovovich) tells us in 4 minutes a recapitulation of everything. The film starts with her in a post-apocalyptic world, alone against monsters & Dr. Isaacs (Iain Glen). She arrives at a place & the computer tells her there's only 1437 humans on the planet, but there's a cure & has only 48 hours to enter Umbrella at Raccoon City to take the antivirus, plus she could get revenge on who took her powers, Wesker (Shawn Roberts). She meets Claire Redfield (Ali Larter) & Abigail (Ruby Rose) & arrive to Umbrella through many obstacles. Umbrella is all maze & traps & many of their group dies. If you want to know who the old Alice is you have to see the film. Great ending & closure for the franchise (?). The best of all 6. If you like action this is your movie. Expand

Great action, set pieces, and villains, and Millovich is in type form as Alice. However, the iffy continuity with the previous titles is annoying, and I wish they brought in more previous characters. The new cast isn't very memorable or are too reminiscent of previous characters. Parts of the film also feel a little too much like Ascension. Expand

This movie is incredible, the end left a little to be desired but the whole desert of the movie was fantastic. However, the state of exception is the state of participation of former actors who were in the saga.

It is, by far, the most visionary piece of art ever brought to the big screen. Need I say more? I would have given my left butt cheek to have been a part of this historic, bar-setting classic. There is simply no arguing against how revolutionary this movie is in pretty much every way imaginable. We have all grown to love the girl we call Alice (although if you're like me, I prefer to call her Ally). But Resident Evil: The Final Chapter shows us a side of Alice (Ally) that even I haven't imagined in my WILDEST dreams, and trust me, they can get pretty wild ;).

I would suggest this masterpiece to any and all who would listen. Don't listen to the critics. Critics are spoiled babies who don't contribute anything to the world besides their negative vibe. I like to imagine some naysayer meeting one of Alice's roundhouse kicks to the face. See what they have to say then. Loved this movie and so will you!

This horror-action series loosely based on the video game series has been going on for quite a while. While never fairing very well with professional critics, the movies have garnered enough a following to have even influenced the tone of the games they are based to more action-oriented affairs. When it comes to horror-action the Rasident Evil movies have always leaned more towards the action side of the equation. This one remains no different.

It does try to latch on to some of those stronger horror elements the first movie had, but they mostly come in the form of halfhearted jump scares that miss their mark. When it comes to the action though this is one of the more exciting movies in the series. Paul W.S. Anderson decides to end his series with a bang. The results are some of his most exciting action scenes yet. Well-choreographed fights, gorgeous explosives, and entertaining set-pieces carry the film where it's plot and characters fall.

The story has never really been of much consequence in these movies. Any sense of continuity between films is minimal at best as characters (usually from the games) come and go without any explanation leaving viewers wondering just what the heck happened to them. The series plot is a mess of nonsensicalities, randomness, and all around disjointedness. No, this series is all about the fights and how awesome Milla Jovovich is. I will say that this films plot is much better than the others. Sure, the conclusion relies on a magical cure all to fix everything, but it's self-contained nature is a big strength. Even if the big twists are obvious and Anderson seems to have no idea how the airborne in airborne antivirus works.

I have to praise the return of the post-apocalyptic setting from Extinction and Afterlife. Not only were those two particular highlights of the series, but it reminds us that these movies are connected to each other in more than just sharing the same main character. No, the movie is not high-art, but it is fun. Well-executed fun that delivers on just what fans of the series want.

Tons of unique monsters, bosses, great action sequences, great final boss, good dialoge and story tie-ins and filling in missing gaps in the plot. Really impressed. It's not PERFECT, but this is better than pretty much any non-comic book 'action' movie you're gonna see this summer. Expand

It's still enjoyable but more on par with the other sequels just a little more amped up action wise. Jovovich returns for the final time as Alice and this time she's racing against time to try and release the antidote to the T Virus to save the last remaining pockets of human resistance. To do this she must travel back to where it all started in the Umbrella facility. Along the way she picks up a new bunch of victims and faces a whole bunch of new and old horrors. The movie is super action packed, it's a bit too much at times. The twists are intriguing and if the film had ended with the first epic finale it would have been a great send off for the series. That being said it's big, dumb fun and is a satisfying if somewhat expected send off to my beloved franchise.

Domestic Box Office: $27m

What I really love (and this isn't a spoiler since its in the previews) is that it comes back to Raccoon City.

Don't get me wrong, it won't be winning any sort of acting awards, the writing isn't Oscar worthy and the special effects are lagging behind. However, even with all of that it was the most cohesive chapter of the series to date.

We originally saw the original Resident Evil when it first came out, since then, barring a single movie, we have seen them all in the theater. Much like the Underworld series, it is just a thing we do.

I was surprised at how well everyone looks (especially Milla) after so many movies and so many years. However, like Kate Beckinsale she probably doesn't have a lot more time in that she could do this movie and supposedly be the same character at the same age.

Out of all of these movies, this definitely had the most cohesive plot. The wrapped up several strings, and even brought in some new things that were maybe a little obvious but they worked well with it. Contrary to some of the movies in the middle though it kept my attention, and entertained us. We were a bit sad to see it wrapping up, it rests up there as a tie for second place for my favorite RE movie (no matter what I do, the original RE always keeps its spot).

Pros: Cohesive storyline, not bad acting, and a satisfying conclusion.

Cons: For a B grade theater movie there really isn't any big cons except this is the final chapter.

Final words, definitely go see it in the theater.

I mean, beginning of every movie is different from where previous one ended and then there was some childish reason for this. The casting also changed so fast and some characters disappeared without any reason. Overall, you can watch it if you love zombie movies otherwise do give it a try only if you have a lot of time.
