I've enjoyed every episode of their Comedy Central series. In this big screen effort, they play 2 regular guys who infiltrate the gangsta world to retrieve a pet kitten. Yes, it sounds like there's potential for silly business, but what's results is just dumb. Their alternate characters are trite variations of street thugs they've played before and the conceit gets old pretty quickly. Even with this absurd concept, the humor is seldom wacky (and Will Forte's drug dealer is especially embarrassing). Worst of all, the whole effort tries too hard and is rarely funny. This is basically one of their TV sketches dragged out 90 minutes longer than the concept holds up. A sad disappointment. Expand

Another movie out done by its own trailer. All the funny parts are on the trailer. So sad... I laughed maybe one time this whole movie. Smoke a lot of weed before you watch this because its not that funny.

No. It seems that ethnicity and race has always been a source of income and inspiration for Jordan Peele and as much as Get Out was a bore Keanu, despite being on the polar opposite end of genres, doesn't provide an exception to this.

Funny animals deserve to remain on poorly edited YouTube clips or washed up daytime home video TV shows, not made into a film. Similarly the jokes were out of place, in fact they were out of sight, this film failed to make me laugh a single time. Too often the genre of comedy is seen as a free pass to botch a script, story and frankly the film industry, Keanu being a fine example of all of these. I wish some respect was shown to the craft here but like the films point all was lacking. Poor Tiffany Haddish, a promising upcoming comedic actress, is being hindered by recent films such as this and night school. Granted Tiffany managed to create a likeable character you could cling on to in order to survive the 1.5 hours. As a person who likes to laugh with and not at, I have made an observation through watching many failed comedy films is that being loud, frantic and annoying doesn't translate to comedy. Isn't that right Kevin Hart.
