Not too bad at all. While it’s nothing like the original Jurassic park, it was a nice bit of nostalgia to see the 3 original characters back together. Also the dinosaur action scenes were great fun too.

The original Jurrasic Park was a bunch of really well-defined characters that we learned to care about being stuck in a horrible situation. The drama came from caring about those people and wanting them to make it out okay. This movie just skipped that part and went right for CGI dinos and forgot to actually flush out the characters. Without a protagonist or moment in the story where I could get to know and like the characters, it's really hard to give a %#$@ if someone is about to die. When I walked out of the theater I said it was like Star Wars Episode 1 was made for Jurrasic Park, that bad. There were some well-done moments that were good nods to the original but the story was an absolute mess. There was absolutely no protagonist, no attempt to help guide the viewer through the story. The character development was absolutely terrible, there were plot holes you could park an aircraft carrier inside, and so many moments that I wondered if they were even attempting to have a believable story. If I was 8 I am sure that I would have been very excited about the poorly CGI'ed dinosaur scenes but unfortunately, I am an adult who actually saw the first movie and this is a very poor way to end such an iconic story line, with a script that should have been a first-round draft. Bringing an end to the Jurassic era that began way back in 1993, it’s full of nostalgia and covert (and not so covert) nods to the original Jurassic Park.

Bringing back original cast members Sam Neil, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum to join original Jurassic World cast members Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and Isabella Sermon is a master stroke, and seeing them all together on screen again just feels right in a film that serves as a finale to the Jurassic era. Admittedly the dialogue is forgettable and cliche at times, though there are plenty of humour and classic lines throughout too - Goldblum’s Ian Malcolm serves up the majority of these, and they never fail to raise a smile.

Of course, the dinos are the main feature, and to see them in our own world for the first time is both surreal and at times a little jarring, a fantastic chase scene set in Malta with Chris Pratt’s Owen Grady taking centre stage is a particular highlight, but you will feel exhausted by the end of it, and a tense scene with Bryce Dallas Howard’s character Claire later on set in the jungle will leave you exhausted but in a completely different way. Again, it’s tense and exciting, with just the right amount of fear, just like a Jurassic movie should make you feel.

I’ll not spoil the plot here, you could argue it’s slightly too long. It’s never boring however, as long as you don’t take it too seriously and just go along for the ride. Spectacular action sequences litter the film over its two and a half hours, and with plenty of emotional punches, slightly grim humour and endless nods to previous films (some obvious, others not so).

Overall, I feel Dominion is an excellent end to the series, and a positive step up from the disappointment of Fallen Kingdom. Dinosaurs, screaming and scares aplenty - 8/10

Rotten plot, bad writing, poor acting, but worst of all it was BORING. I legit fell asleep watching it. The dinosaurs are on screen for a total of maybe 15 mins of a 2 and a half hour movie. Just unacceptable. Most of the movie is focused on the clone girl for some reason like we care. We don't. I wish the raptor would've ate her in the last one.

Btw, this might be the least violent movie in the series. Almost no blood, and nobody gets eaten on screen. Also, no explanation given for how the dinosaurs can survive in any climate. I mean I get it's science fiction but dinosaurs in the snow? Ridiculous

Overall just a terrible waste of time. The franchise is dead now. I'm sure Michael Crichton is rolling over in his grave.

I don’t care to undertake the labour of remembering Jurassic World: Dominion in the detail that would necessitate writing a proper review, so I’ll just say this: I am haunted by how bad this movie is. It’s so inept my jaw was on the floor at times. It’s somehow worse than the sum of its parts - and all of its parts are terrible. Seriously, anyone with a rudimentary film knowledge could point to any facet of this movie’s production and say what doesn’t work about it. I really hate giving a 1/10 - it just looks like I’m review bombing. But I’m not. Truly, my hand is forced by the fact I cannot think of one single thing in this film that worked. This film is miraculously bad. For years, the worst of the huge budget franchise sequels have been so over-marketed, so deliberately “safe”, and so focused-grouped to death that they often have no soul (i.e. a Transformer or Caribbean Pirate). This movie made me realize how good we’ve had it with all that. It had me longing for a Rise of Skywalker or a Justice League. Because this is bad in a way you don’t see very often these days. It’s actually risky to be this bad. It might seriously kill the franchise to be this bad. But what’s keeping me awake at night is: studios know this. Universal knows this. So how did Dominion even get released in this state? How did the producers sign off on anything that was happening here? How does this happen?

Case in point: the one thing you would not expect from a movie with this budget is that it would look cheap. Right from one of the first VFX shots, with hadrosaurs (I think) running in the snow, something is noticeably off - it looks ropey. And it doesn’t get better. This is a $200 million+ 2020s movie that has the best visual effects of 2005. Worse still, even the practical effects - the dino animatronics - look plastic, nowhere near the level of the triceratops in the original movie. That was made 30 years ago. And that’s just the part that money CAN pretty much solve. Baffling.

I’m only going to say one more thing. And it’s for Colin Trevorrow and the other writer, on the very remote off-chance they’re torturing themselves by reading these reviews. And I can’t believe I have to say this, but for reasons unnatural - perhaps supernatural - the studio didn’t, so I will: guys. Jurassic Park is about DINOSAURS. DINOSAURS, guys. NOT insects. Giant flying insects is a different franchise. This one is dinosaurs. Thank you.

While there is the question of whether it should have aspired to so much James Bond-style action, it concludes with the same type of classic Jurassic thrills that we expect. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. An anticlimactic end of a legendary era.

This movie sucks.... uninteresting plot, too many over the top action scenes were not necessary for a dinosaur movie, enough with the stale overplayed tropes with stubborn **** teenage girls who won't listen and ruin everything, bad pacing and bad choice of plot... lotuses???? Really??? Get real....bad cheesey dialogue, CGI was a step down from Jurassic World, dino boss was super lame, not enough Dinosaur.....in a DINOSAUR MOVIE!!! There's a lot more to say but just save your money and go watch Doctor strange or something else.

What a pathetic end to a legendary franchise that deserved a proper send off. I hope it get rebooted 10 years down the line with better direction, better vision and more love.

Jurassic World Dominion has no doubt the best visuals and cinematography of all the films so far. There are some pretty great shots of dinosaurs without a doubt. There are also some pretty fun action sequences. For example, in Malta where dinosaurs are chasing Chris Pratt and Bryce throughout the city. The part in Malta also explores the black market of Dinosaurs and that was pretty interesting. One pretty annoying issue with the Jurassic World franchise is the lack of animatronics but Dominion uses a lot of animatronics. I appreciated it as it made the Dinosaurs feel a bit more real when they were being interacted with.

My biggest reason for watching was the OG cast and it was great seeing all of them together again. Laura Dern and Sam Neill are great together as Ellie Satler and Alan Grant respectively. Both of them don't phone it in and it feels like the same characters we last saw 21 years ago. My favourite is Jeff Goldblum as Ian Malcolm and he just steals every scene he is in. Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard also return and they are fine. The movie introduces some new characters and one of them is Kayla played by DeWanda Wise. DeWanda is great and a real standout in the film thanks to her charismatic performance. Kayla ends up being a fun character to watch thanks to her coolness and natural reaction to all the craziness happening. Unfortunately, the rest of the movie is very difficult to like. My biggest annoyance is the plot. There are two plot lines, one with Chris Pratt involving a kidnapping of Maisie (the clone daughter from the previous film) and another with the OG cast which just features them snooping around a big corporation. One of the plotlines is more exciting and interesting while also resulting in thrilling dinosaur action. The OG cast plotline is just so boring, goofy and just dumb. It's a shame that the OG cast was done dirty like that. The movie feels like two different movies shoved into one leading to two different stories with different tones. The main story also features this plot device concerning locusts and it's just really stupid. The movie also features a sort of new human villain in Dodgson played by Campbell Scott. I say sort of new because he is technically playing the same character that was briefly in the first Jurassic Park film albeit it's a different actor now. He is just a very underwhelming villain. He is just not that interesting or threatening. They also have a new dinosaur villain in the Giganotosaurus and it also sucks. It barely has any screen time and is not even as scary as any of the previous dinosaur villains. There is also another new character introduced called Ramsay played by Mamoudou Athie who I think does a good job in the role. What makes his character is his supposed relationship with Dodgson which is mentioned a couple of times. However, it is barely explored yet for some reason is put into the film like it is an emotional or important element and it was just baffling.

Maisie returns from the previous film and has become incredibly unlikeable. I'm not a big fan of bratty kid characters, especially ones that cause the deaths of dozens of innocent people. Her character is written poorly and I do think the actress gives a pretty weak performance which doesn't help. The movie is also way too long with its runtime being 146 minutes. A majority of the runtime is just boring human stuff with maybe 15-20 minutes of some dinosaur stuff. The original Jurassic Park cast and the new Jurassic World cast don't even meet until the final act. Once they meet, it feels very anti-climatic and unnatural, it just sort of happens. I'm gutted that the movie wastes an interesting idea in exploring the consequences of dinosaurs being released into the world and how the world deals with it. Instead, this idea is just brushed over within the first 5 minutes. The film doesn't do anything original and just does dinosaurs on an island again! The movie doesn't even spend time dealing with the message that the film starts with which is can humans and dinosaurs coexist? The film just ends with this magically being answered and resolved with no explanation how?

Overall, what a massive disappointment. While I didn't particularly enjoy Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018), the movie ends on a fascinating note that could've made for an amazing 3rd film. Regrettably, Jurassic World Dominion ends up being more interested in being a cheap, cheesy, B movie action thrill and even then it doesn't do that great either. I'm devastated that the so-called Avengers of the Jurassic franchise is just a very mediocre and underwhelming dinosaur movie. I ended up feeling like it was time for this franchise to go extinct. As Ian once said, "that's one big pile of s#*%".

This premise is pretty much explained away by some random narrator in the first 5 mins. The film instead decides to focus on the cloned genetics of one little girl? Isn't this franchise about dinosaurs? I got so excited after fallen kingdom to finally see the dinosaurs fully incorporated into the human world & see how they learn to coexist if they do at all. But no....little girl clone & locusts? That's what we get? Then this is backed up with hideously atrocious acting. Every new character who wasn't in any of the previous movies puts in horrible acting displays one after another. One particular stand out display is a asian lady dinosaur smuggler. It seems like they just went with the first take on alot of these scenes. Like yeah that will do. The premise & scenes are at times so utterly ridiculous & comical. At one point people gather around & cheer a fight while 2 man eating dinosaurs have just been released behind them & have already started attacking & feeding on humans...but aload of guys are like yeah but there is a knife fight here....let's take bets!

So utterly disappointing....i love this franchise but this is a travesty with none of the magic of the originals & tbh little respect for the heart & magic of the previous installments. The original cast are brought back, only to be made background filler...maybe some attempt to get more bums in seats. Far too big a cast like so many movies these days so you dont have any time to get attached or care for anybody properly. Not that any scenes would back that up. I never felt the stakes were high at any point or cared enough. Its just one action set piece after another utterly devoid of soul or heart. It really is just content filler like so much else these days. We live in the age of cinema that produces & celebrates mediocrity.

It looks good, some scenes are filmed very well but the story is awful. After the second movie they ended it with an interesting set up for the third installment. Dinosaurs living amongst us. Instead on exploring that concept they have a movie that's about dino-locusts and a kidnapping plot. Im not sure why they went in the direction they did but its the movie we got. The old characters coming back did hold this movie to a watchable state by drucktape and thread but they probably should have left their legacy in Jurassic Park. I find that Jeff Goldblum is doing a lot of flops these days. Maybe his pull isn't so great anymore.

Anyway TWO and avoid this at all costs. 2/10

Characters motivations were off the charts stupid (like how many people kept forgetting they had guns and would just run away from the raptors instead). I am so sick of Chris Platt holding his hand up. Even the visual effects, usually a strong point of this franchise, didn't look good at all. The dinosaurs movements looked clunky and weird. The leads were clearly just doing this for a paycheck. It's not even fun as a dumb dino movie. This movie really could have used like 100 more dinosaurs to make it interesting. I watched all 3 movies nearly every few months growing up. I had the toys and would dress up playing "dinosaur." I even had a "vest" pretending I was Dr. Grant haha. Goes without saying, I'm a huge Jurrasic Park fan. I just saw this movie on Saturday with my wife, and we both absolutely loved it! First off, they did a really good job bringing back the original characters and blending their storylines with the new cast. The dialougue between them, the way they interacted, was really well written and well acted. The writers were careful to pay their respects to the original cast. They didn't rush any scenes. They spent time on each scene/gave time for things to develop. They were in "true character/how they would have acted in the originals. This means everything to fans! Well done! Also, we were so happy to see how they added to the original characters' storyline, as I am sure other fans are also (I won't spoil anything :)). GREAT action, the actors have good chemistry, and it ties up all loose ends from all the movies! Expand

Dominion is a far cry from the Jurassic Parks that many of us grew up with. Owen and Claire’s relationship is awkward at best and Alan and Ellie’s relationship felt like fan service gone wrong. Dominion focuses on in-your-face action more than it’s predecessors which makes it feel more like a generic action movie. Unfortunately the subtle visuals and sounds used to create moments of dread in past films is missing completely. The massive dinosaur fights even felt identical to fights from the past 5 films.

Also, what’s up with everyone being able to hold off dinosaurs by holding up their hand? Owen was only able to do this with the raptor he raised from birth. It makes no sense that any other characters can suddenly make the dinosaurs obey them. This choice removes any sense of risk and danger as we know the protagonists can use this magic hand trick to deal with most smaller dinos. At one point we see a Velociraptor show up (one of the most terrifying creatures from past film) and I didn’t even feel worried for our protagonist because they can all take dinosaurs now. The only reason I’m not rating this lower is because the short scenes showing mosques adapting to our world were really interesting.

It’s truly disappointing to see so much wasted potential with the combination of the new and old cast.

The film-making tools used in this film show a knowledge of the curriculum, but just using every trick in the text-book does not a great film make. Sometimes restraint is required, and that is exactly what I wish this movie would have done, to lay off for a second or two to late me catch my breath. There were some great moments with Bryce Dallas Howard swimming through a pond covered in duckweed and Chris Pratt being chased not by motorbikes but by velociraptors in Malta in Bond-esque fashion. The Dinosaurs spring up every chance they get which is exciting at first but the novelty quickly wears off. A new live-action dinosaur appears every two minutes and packed in back to back like sardines and characters stare at them stunned like they were still seeing them for the first time. I know if it was me all I would be thinking, 'it's just another animatronic dinosaur, nothing to see here'. If the dinosaurs were fewer and further between when they came on screen their presence would be impactful however what can you do when you've let them all out. At the end of the day less is more and that's no less true with Jurassic World Dominion. It might leave you motion sick and queasy but it is a rollercoaster ride nonetheless. They stretched the formula as far as it could possibly go (and sometimes further) and I for one am relieved its all over. Time for some long earned rest for the franchise. Expand

'Jurassic World Dominion' is far from perfect, if just about entertaining to watch... kinda.

I'm not fully convinced by it but I do think there's enough in there that's worth watching. There are too many characters, even main characters with the original trio and the newer duo both involved equally. With that said, I do like 'em. It's pleasant to see Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum, while Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are a good pairing.

Still, I wouldn't say any one character stands out here. They all make their presence known, though I'm struggling to remember any great moments individually - that's due to the aforementioned surplus. The rest of the cast, fwiw, are all fine - Mamoudou Athie sticks out most in that regard.

The run time is overlong, in my opinion. I personally could've done without 30 or so minutes and I wouldn't have felt it was missing anything. The story itself isn't all that fresh, as in I feel like I've seen this sorta thing before (I mean, Biosyn... how creative!), but the barrage of dinosaur-centric action probably just abouts tips it over into a positive rating for yours truly. Could easily be lower, though.

I'd love for this to be the end of the Jurassic franchise (is there much more to tell?) but there ain't no way Amblin/Universal are leaving this IP to collect dust, let's be honest.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Where to start...the movie was okay, there was some good action moments and some dumb moments.
The CGI of the dinosaurs were actually great, that's one positivity I can give for this movie and also Jeff Goldblum out did himself in this movie.
Other than that the movie was everywhere, some parts didn't make sense, you got some new evil characters in the movie that only appeared in the movie for a few minutes and have no other part in the movie after that.
And this whole "evil corporation" taking over the world is getting tiresome, I can't keep up with all these different evil corporations through out the series. It's like who are these people? How are they tied into the original movies? And why should we care about them? It's very confusing.
Oh and the clone daughter, yeah had no idea who the mom is, apparently she was one of the biggest and skilled scientist in the first movie, but she was never mentioned in the first movie at all. Like why? Why was she some part of an important piece in the first Jurassic Park movie, if she was never mentioned? I don't know... my son was very invested in the movie being a big dinosaur fan, makes me happy to see he's enjoying it.
As for me I would rather watch something else. Again it's an okay movie, got cool parts here and there. But the original Jurassic Park movies 1 through 3, is the best in my book. The first Jurassic World (aired in 2015) movie was great but after that it just started to get boring. So this is an average 6/10 rating for me.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I found it a fun, enjoyable movie. The point was the immense nostalgia, and if you can’t enjoy all the original Jurassic Park cast members (4+) contributions, then you’re missing out. So many moments of nostalgia it could have written itself. For example, when the guy dropped the shave bottle. When Malcolm buttoned up his shirt. The T Rex battle. All to go back to that first movie. Would I have done it differently? Of course. I’d have removed the girl and the locusts. Given it much more suspense, and actually had it revolve around the seriousness of the worlds ecosystem. That is one they explain how the auction escape led to an entire planet of dinosaurs overnight. For those saying how did the Dino’s escape, well that’s obvious they were always being sold, transported, flown around. There was a whole illegal market. I say it’s a much watch to have closure. It's a dinosaur movies that's barely about dinosaurs. Most of the newer characters do nothing, and decent performances from the old cast are wasted. The action picks up in the second half, compared to the first half which is insanely boring for a Jurrasic Park movie. But even then, I would say most of the action scenes are forgettable. This and Fallen Kingdom are easily the worst Jurrasic Park movies. Expand

This movie is so bad that you'll still be disappointed even if you minimize your expectation to the lowest.

It's obvious that it wouldn't be like Jurassic Park, but it didn't disappoint, quite the opposite, it went beyond my expectations. Electrifying and exciting. I'm glad I'm always blind to third party reviews.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. What Ian Malcolm said - that is one big pile of ꜱʜɪᴛ. Too much stuff and action packed into too short running time - resulting this film becoming a huge mess. Directing is really bad. It's good the old cast are returning, but it's a bad film if it depends on nostalgia and old actors. There are too many protagonists and unnecessary side characters. Dodgson was there - and nobody cares. He was easily the worst villain in jurassic park franchise. He had no any real motivation and goals. I don't even get it - how did he earn that much money? What did he want? Build a park or dinosaurs? Or become a monopoly of the food industry? Expand

If you're in the mood for a smart story, this movie is not for you, but if you're in the mood for big, dumb fun and laughable dino thrills, then Jurassic World: Dominion is definitely worth watching as an entertaining comfort film.

In the end I have to say that it didn't really feel like a 3D film. I only realized at the end of the film that I had 3D glasses on the whole time XD.
But the end product was very satisfactory

This movie is so boring and to be honest, unnecessary. I do not care about the characters in the movie which is a shame because the old actors from Jurassic Park are in the movie. This movie is a waste of time.
