My rating is not exactly a rave but the 2 things I most liked: 1. Mouglalis, 9 years younger than Cate Blanchett of whom she reminds me but w/ dark hair. Her character (in this) super-neurotic but super-irresistible (great combo, of course);My rating is not exactly a rave but the 2 things I most liked: 1. Her character (in this) super-neurotic but super-irresistible (great combo, of course); and 2. the black-and-white photography, by a Belgian who is new to me but not new.
The film is relentlessly low-key in a way that's bound to make some people dislike it. For me, not the greatest thing since French toast but my feellings about it are tentative but not dismissive.… Expand
