Just great fun. Likeable characters and especially JakJak is just pure comedy brilliance. Love that pt2 picks up just where the first movie ended. The attention to detail in most Pixar movies, is still breathtaking, and this one is no exception.

A pretty good movie. This is not a masterpiece like the first Incredibles movie, but it is still a great movie that can be enjoyed by kids and by parents alike.

It's on par with the first one. Fun movie for the family, and I think kids will absolutely love it. Well written story, fun characters, and an awesome soundtrack. It's definitely worth watching. 8.5/10

The original 'Incredibles' was always a staple of my TV reruns. I know that no sequel was going to match what 'Incredibles' did in 2004, but the folks at Pixar did not disappoint. It has the crisp action and animation, and never shies away from relating to the audience. Half of the movie's scenes I can imagine happening in real life (the non-superhero bits of course. I can imagine conversations of the Parr family as if they were a real family. That's what Pixar does best: every film is HUMAN, regardless of how fantastical the story is. It's Pixar's defining trait, and it shows in 'Incredibles 2'. Expand

The best parts of Incredibles 2 are when we get to see the family dynamic. That's always been the strength of the series, but here it's more apparent than in its predecessor. Elastigirl has definitely got some moments to shine on her own (the Elastibike scene comes to mind), but the story arc concerning the main baddie feels auxiliary and predictable.

Still, I was laughing and enjoying the spectacle along with everyone else in the theater. This one may not have the lasting impact of the first, but then again, it would have been a tall order for us to expect otherwise.

With thatThe wait is finally over and after 14 years, we finally have Incredibles 2. I consider the original film one of pixar's best, if not the best, and I was more excited than I had been for any animated film in a very very long time. With that said, I walked into Incredibles 2 hoping it would be at least a good film and walked out thinking it could be the best animated film of the year. Incredibles 2 sucked me right back into the world that I grew up with as a kid and allowed me to enjoy every second of it just like I did back when the original did. The characters, setting, and world that director Brad Bird built from the ground up in the first film are back and more vibrant and beautiful than ever, with the characters feeling just like they did 14 years ago. This was clearly a sequel that had such passion and imagination behind it and it shows throughout the entire runtime. It's a film that pays respect and builds off the original while presenting it's own ideas, creating a unique experience that doesn't feel like a nostalgia cash-grab. I virtually have no issues with this movie, despite the fact that the villain isn't quite as good as Syndrome was in the first film, but still interesting enough to carry the story along. However, the villain isn't really much of an issue when the film's true strength lies in what made the first so memorable, that being the heroes and their dynamic as a family. There are parts that I enjoyed more than the first, that being the action, which was more varied and more exciting to watch, and the comedy, which has this movie being slightly funnier than the first. Overall, Incredibles 2 is a sequel that people wanted, and it's the sequel people deserve. It delivers in every way that it needed to, and even goes the extra mile in some aspects. It's about as good as the first, and if this means we get to see more of the Parr family in the foreseeable future, than I can't wait. Expand

I still think the first one was better but this one is so much more fun. The first installment was more of a gloomy/serious movie but the second installment is fun and surprising. This movie picks up right where the first one ended. Elastigirl is a really good super hero dare I say even more interesting than Mr. Incredible (it's close). That meant Bob had to stay home to watch the kids. This is by far the show stealer. Jack Jack takes the spotlight here. Bob trying to deal with his new powers is amazing! Also watch out for something we saw in the movie poster! It really is a delightful treat. Sadly Edna Mode does not have as much screen time as she did in the first movie but all of her lines are absolutely hilarious. The Screenslaver was an awesome villain. It was cryptic and creepy and the fighting scenes were so creative. Overall this movie builds up to it's grand finale which is good and bad (for reasons that you'll know when you watch) but it was a funny and action packed ride that really was worth the 14 year wait! Ready for The Incredibles 3 ALREADY! Expand

"Incredibles 2" is an important film, a smart sequel that enriches its animated universe through a radically contrasting plot that refreshes the Hollywood-era animation, superhero scene. Even when we've seen movies driven by gender-swapped thematic, most of these body-life switches were, first of all, comedies, but also provoked by some kind of magic object or spell, as a fortune cookie, a pair of earrings or peeing in a sacred fountain. On this occasion, the same characters are who will switch roles by their own due to a money crisis, survival compels them to make great efforts, just like a real-world family. Putting narcissistic, kind-of-sexist Bob Parr/Mr. Incredible in check when his wife takes on a fabulous new job is a risky plotting move that, even if it sounds cliché, allows the story to argue that household chores and family issues aren't easy work.

Mom is the boss here; she gets the spotlight, a woman who's forced to lay aside her children and husband for an indefinite period to "make supers legal again." There is a strong, meaty commentary/fictional debate on the issue of the legalization of superheroes, a purpose going through several discussion-worthy obstacles. Helen, the new focal point in the plot, blissfully becomes one of the strongest rocks of this sequel because there are insufficient animated films that place a woman in the starring role with such priceless storyline skills. It's an important step in female representation in kids-oriented cinema to see not only how a woman monopolizes the whole story, but also the way they change the stereotyped conception of mother; likewise, just a few decisions feel synthetic as the story takes the right time for Bird's distinctive approach and development on the visual and narrative section, a balance where comedy takes place at home mainly, whereas the most dramatic events takes place among the streets of the huge metropolis. At a given time along the movie, Voyd, the Kristen Stewart-inspired character voiced by Sophia Bush, questions Elastigirl about how it she can level her life as a heroine, mom and wife, and although it's never answered by her, the film itself provides the answer.

Special mention for a couple of iconic characters who have the right to be part of the modern-day pop-culture as for animation field. That's right, it's the meanly charming Edna Mode, who, ironically, steals the show completely just as the first film with her upset, super-rich visionary costume designer thanks to the writers' witty work. But alongside Jack-Jack, who supports on his tiny shoulders the best visual gags, they're an explosive duo, in matters of comedy, of course. It will be no surprise that it's already insinuating their own movie, however, Disney has the things clear, and that makes us happy.

The animation isn't at the same level of detail as the most visually complex feats of the company, but it isn't by reason of a poorly-crafted work, is because the film sets just some minutes after the first feature film, that is to say, they decide to remain in the same timeline of 14 years ago, safeguarding its textures and animation styles, holding true to the simplicity of the features at that time, a world where realism doesn't have to be part of the equation. There are a few eye-popping landscapes; on the contrary, the film stays in urban settings to develop most of the plot. Truly unforgettable, beautiful sequences can be counted on the fingers of one hand, there are only a handful of important pictures, the best frame: An exhausted Bob going upstairs carrying his two boys in his arms, a visual poem that finds beauty in the emotional. It's understandable that Pixar doesn't deliver a visually arresting experience, but there is a character who went too far, id est, he looked like I was looking at a 2005 video game character, his expressions were made of rubber. It's Bob Odenkirk's character, Winston Deavor, he's of wax.

"Incredibles 2" by Brad Bird is an unusual sequel, as it knows how to transmute into a Hollywood modern motion picture by using a mold that respects the universe built fourteen years ago. For a certainty, its greatest virtues are found in the priceless female importance, the skillful editing that balances comedy and drama as only Pixar can do, a super-absorbing soundtrack and an enchanting narrative treatment that simply would not be possible without Bird's experience, the numerous crew and the incredible vocal cast led by Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, Samuel L. Jackson and Catherine Keener. Brimming with messages of representation, equality, family and topicality, this laugh-inducing family-friendly sequel is a step forward for animation and superhero genre, and another knockout for a company that honors its gems of yesteryear, that goes hand in hand with new technologies and its roots, that roots that were the awakening of a new era.

The Incredibles 2 was a film that was a faithful follower of its prequel with a good background, and great character development, but comparing with the 2004 prequel, it is slightly inferior, however it is quite entertaining and brings a lot to show.

Is it better than The Incredibles? I'm unsure. The first film was great, and the second is pretty equal in quality to me. It's quite different from some other superhero films, but it's still worth a watch. Hopefully we don't have to wait until 2032 for Incredibles 3!

After a 14 YearIt may go by no means that I simply adore the first Incredibles movie for its memorable characters and the fact that it was a superhero movie that tried to do something different instead of “KA-POW!-ing” for 2 hours. After a 14 Year Hiatus, the sequel is finally here and,to be honest,it feels like a good 14 Years, diving into (yet again) another interesting story, written by Brad Bird’s excellent script (a script that, for an animated movie, gets shockingly bold throughout its 2 Hour runtime).
Where the first one was centrally a story about Mr. Incredible trying to get back into the glory days, Incredibles 2 switches places, this time with Elastigirl being the main character because Winston Deavor (or Cartoon Tony Stark played by Bob Odenkirk) wants to bring the supers back. And that's something that you could play with superhero movies, since I still haven't seen one that did it really well (even as much as I loved Black Panther as much as everyone else).
Apparently, the script also manages to give every character the right amount of screentime while giving everyone a purpose to be in this movie. Even the less important characters like Tony Rydinger.
The Screenslaver is the new villain with a name that I usually expect for a family-friendly Disney movie (just like Jackson Storm),and his presence was interesting to a halt. A Halt that grinds the character into a “Pit Of Death” where it just makes it a villain who's there to throw punches, making me feel like they could've done better with him. Although I don't really know if I can say it's a flaw or not, because,as said, his presence was intimidating for its first minutes of screentime.
As always,Pixar manages to improve with their top-quality animation with the smaller details, like the shirt’s fabric moving and the hair details, and there's some space to be had for the grander details (there's a full fight scene inside a hypnotic box and I'm still questioning how in the living hell did they move the characters in a box that lights up and shuts down every millisecond). If I would've had a flaw it would be Michael Giacchino's Score. I’m not saying the score is bad by any means (some of the tracks are glorious indeed),but I just wanted a bit more of meat to chew (especially compared to the first movie’s score).
In the end, this may be my favorite superhero movie of 2018 and a second best Pixar Sequel (because nothing beats and will beat Toy Story 2),and that's really strange, considering that I usually don't expect this from an animated movie (although I always wanted an animated superhero movie to be better than a Marvel/DC Movie.).
So yeah, check this one out, have a laugh or two and have fun!
Now,if you excuse me,I'm going to replay LEGO The Incredibles for the millionth time.

The plot in the first one favored the Mr. Incredible to main action scenes and the main one to make the story flows, in this one they swithced for the Elastic Woman, and i believe that they were very happy in this decision, while elastic woman were in the house with the kids in the first one and you could know her a little more there, in this one it is Bob (Beto) that stays with the children, and you can know a little more about both. The structure of the movie is very similar with the first one. The movie goes on right at the end of the first one so you can go on with the develop of the freedom of heroes at that time, one poweful man with influence tries with his sister to make the heroes go back to their prime, not just making them legal again, but making the people believe, so elastic woman go handle with it in missions while mr incredible is taking care of his children, with discovery and learning.
The Mr. Incredible parts are the big meaning off the story, that shows a overloaded father trying to help all of his familly and support them, but at the same time that he does this, by the end of the day he disappoint someone or can't do everything that he need because it takes so much time and so much strenght to do, and can't sleep well, but later on he can work it better and fix things, showing that things always have a way, talking and doing, so it is much casual, him doing homework, taking care of his baby and working with his girl with a boyfriend, it is all very nice and fun, that is the real familiar relationship, but kinda is out of the main story, it could feel a little displaced out of the movie but it is very important for the same.
The Elastic Woman nucleo is the one with a lot of action, while she is doing her missions to try to make the people to believe in heroes again, she got so many action with pretty epic moments, not just that but we could get to know here while she passed some likelihood with real life.
There is a competition between the parents that who is better in one thing or another, wich is kind of a metaphor for like, who take care better, who can help with the homework better, and that is another likelihood.
The action in this sequence reached another level, in the first one it was already very creative and different, but in this one is different, i liked the epicness level that it got, it is a really big blockbuster, the action was intense and very entertaining, they had some new characters with powers that they were able to mix new powers and do creative sequences combining them, i just though that they could have give some more time and function for Dash, everybody have great moments, Lucius still funny and even more dope, but Dash could have been a little better used like he was in the first one.
The cinematography in this one is great, it does have some sequences without cuts with Helen running and fighting that are so great and beautiful to watch, there are sequences with colors that are really beautiful and i believe that the cinematography helped a lot to make the action so nice as it is. The camera movimentation is one of the best things about this aspect, the camera go walking with the characters.
The soundtrack is pretty much the same as it was, it worked well.
One big problem of the movie is that it isn't really surprising in any moment, is everything really predictable, since the first moments of something you just can tell the twist that is going to happen later on, and in some crucial moments some character achieve something and it is so obvious what is going on, when the character can't tell it it is kind of annoying.
The quality of the animation is great, the characters does have a lot of texture.
Jack Jack is one of the best characters in the movie, his powers outcropping are funny and the reactions of the people around here just make the moment even more nice.
This movie is great, it isn't so deep as the first one was with somethings that got stick in your head for so long, but it still have a little bit of that, the movie is very funny, the action is probably the best in any animated movie ever, and it certain lives up to the characters that we already liked a lot.

It was a really fun movie. The action scenes were terrific in this movie, with the exception of the one scene with the Mind-controlled pizza guy fight with Elastigirl. With all the flashing lights, it was hard to see and kind of hurt my brain. Also, I could haven lived without the Violet subplot, as it seemed unnessasary to the actual plot of the movie. Other than that I was laughing and in awe of the rest of the film. I would recommend it, but let’s be honest, who isn’t going to see it? It’s a win for me. Expand

The film may not match up to the first film, but it really comes so close. Its really a great film and is just breathtaking. I believe that the story is not as strong as the first one and there are times where you don't feel the scenes. But most of them are spot-on and are really funny. Funnier than the first film to be honest. Overall the film is great. And is just a fun family film and you wouldn't want to miss it on the big screen. It may be 15 years too late, but that wait was just worth it. Brad Bird is just really phenomenal. I hope you watch this in cinema, because it was such a pleasure. Incredibles 2

It is quite rare for a feature, series or even an episode to match the expectations of its predecessor and live up to the hype (it is higher than usual in here since it has been 14 years) delivering everything that the fans want and a bit more, (just for fun) attaining the perfect balance of commercial and art cinema. As usual, the Pixar animation is rich in it's finely detailed script and visual aesthetics that is not only adorable (Jack Jack steals the show), witty and "cool" to encounter at, but is also thought-provoking that speaks volume on character's perspective through it. The script is adaptive, engaging and filled with exhilarating sequences that up beats the momentum of the situation and elevates the heartbeat of the audience using the character's connection among them wisely that redefines the cultural genre which is taken for granted nowadays. The return voice over cast convincingly sticks to their characters along with the newer cast whose characters are equally juicy and nutrient. Brad Bird; the writer-director, has done a tremendous work on executing his anticipated vision (an ahead-of-its-time vision that is adequate for the current society that we all reside and still never goes pretentious or chalky) on screen. Despite of walking on a familiar structure of the script, the feature is eerily an inversion of its previous installment and still makes sense in a whole new way; kind of like a palindrome, which is poetic of Brad to do so. The pace and the tone of it is kept alive and even throughout the course of it which was palpable in the first installment too, picking up right where it was left. It is rich on technical aspects like sound department, visual effects (the chase sequence of Elastigirl is breathtaking as it leaves the room with a long gasping of awe) and editing. Incredibles 2 is as smooth as jazz for its strong writing, gripping screenplay and brilliant execution not only charms its way around the viewers and instead has a warm gift wrapped under its "family" sheet for them.

The Incredibles 2 is a great movie.
Having to fight with the legacy of the previous movie, a film that was practically perfect, it is complicated. But this second part does not disappoint and vastly expands this great story of superheroes.

It’s not a common thing to have to remind an audience about the events of a film that was released fifteen years ago in order for them to walk in to the sequel prepared but desperate times calls for desperate measures.

As THE INCREDIBLES adventure came to an edge-of-your-seat finale, Syndrome was foiled—thanks to baby Jack-Jack and an ill-advised cape—and his jet exploded into a fiery ball, destroying the Parr family home; but the family was more bonded than ever.

It seemed like a happily-ever-after ending until someone called the Underminer declared “war on peace and happiness.”

What is interesting about the return of this super family is that since the release of the first film, the super hero genre has skyrocketed within the film and television industry with major franchises exploding and new heroes emerging every few months.

Yet, the reason behind the success of this family comes from the real-life struggles that they face: worrying about getting jobs, paying the rent, and juggling everything life throws at you.

Still set in the Mid-century-esque timeline, the nostalgic look is reminiscent of the spy-films of the 50’s and 60’s and this is why INCREDIBLES 2 is as marvelous as it is. With that in mind, the narrative strikes a balance between the adventure and the more ordinary aspects of family life - a tango between the mundane and the fantastic.

The film is even edited to reflect this duality, which aids in bringing the message and theme home.

Speaking of the film’s ideology, the opening does cause concern from a liberal political agenda area but does find its true nature towards the film’s final moments when the characters realize that success means that a family has to work together and know their places within the way any family is structured.

Thankfully, the film doesn’t really force a serious tone, but rather delivers a fun packed adventure animation film but more specifically a well-made super hero film.

INCREDIBLES 2 doesn’t really allow the characters to do much evolving, specifically when it comes to Dash, Violet, and Frozone. Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl do some minor evolving when it comes to them sharing each other’s’ loads as parents.

This leaves Jack-Jack.

Jack-Jack really steals the show with his shenanigans as he begins growing into his own and exposes his super powers, a multitude of them that offer some of the film’s most hilarious moments.

The villain of the film also packed quite a punch and delivered a secondary ideology – the blind worship of heroes as well as the danger of constantly looking at the screens.

The action set pieces are complex, beautifully choreographed, and well executed.

What makes them even more enthralling is the fact that the entirety of the crew is able to construct the sequences in a way that is able to relate the familial drama with the Marvel-esque action.

From the visuals of the landscape, to our characters’ fashion, and from the vocal performances, to the brilliant score, the entire team at Pixar ensured that every aspect of the feature was vibrant, engaging, and thrilling.

This is the perfect family film to watch this Summer.

The good things about this movie is that the characters are just as great as you remember them. This time we also get more use of Jack Jack who is a great addition to the movie. Elastigirl is now into the spotlight instead of Mr Incredible and the focus on her results in what I think is some of the most creative action scenes in an animated or superhero movie ever. It really is the fantastic four movie that we want. The music and voice acting is phenomenal and the plot while slightly predictable is still interesting enough to keep you hooked.

If there is a downside to this movie then it has got to be the fact that the villain ScreenSlaver is not as good as Syndrome. Their identity is predictable and their motive is rather weak.

Overall, the movie is a worth sequel and definitely makes me look forward for a third movie. Hopefully, we don't wait another 14 years for it.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I have to admit that I enjoyed this one. The first one is still my favorite as it had better humor in it and of course, Jason Lee, who was excellent in it. Here, the standouts are Frozone, Void, and Jack Jack. The other characters were great too, but those three characters added something significant to the story. Frozone had a bigger role in this one not just as a friend but as someone who saved the kids and even got them to meet the rich guy in the movie.

While I didn't feel as excited as I did during the island scene in the first one, this one wasn't that bad. The first time I checked my watch to see how long I've been sitting there, it was at 1h15 and it didn't feel like it. Still, not a bad movie and a decent follow-up to it. Violet's side story just seemed unnecessary and could've been edited out, I guess. Dash was OK but he was good when he got control of the car.

It's probably the best Pixar movie I've seen in many years since they started their decline with Toy Story 3 (which you have to admit that the writing wasn't that good in that one.... the "Lincoln Logs" joke was obviously painful).

14 years of waiting for this film to arrive, it feels nostalgic to watch this, as a sequel to the original Incredibles 1. In my opinion, it is a humorous and family thoughtful animated movie of the year as of now.

Even though Incredibles 2 isn't as "incredible" or fresh as it's groundbreaking predecessor is, still viewers will enjoy the entertaining and rather hilarious mayhem of the new member of the Parr family, Jack-Jack who serves as the main comic relief of this film. The stunning 3D visuals are a fantastic asset of this almost 2 hours Disney-Pixar animated fare.

After 14 years of waiting, nostalgia arrives us in the theaters for the arrival of the ingenious Parr family. Mr.Incredible (voiced by Craig T. Nelson) and Elastigirl (voiced by Holly Hunter) along with their two children still got their amazing voice talents and their wittiness which are delivered successfully onto the theater screen. The plot maybe is not as inventive as the original but still compensated by the dramatic action sequences and the wittiness of the Parr family in delivering an entertaining sequel for any group age. Characterization and designs of some of the new characters including the brand new super villain lacks certain depth and innovation but still produces an adequate and acceptable entry throughout the film.

Overall, the movie is not a disappointment, it still delivers a watchable experience that viewers will come to love and enjoy.

The major pros in this movie, in my opinion, is the humor, amazing 3D visuals, and also the story deserves some extra credit because it includes involvement of family ties, relationships, and family issues revolving around them which is delightful, even though it rehashes some parts of the original. Still a very worthy sequel, after a long 14 years of waiting, and recommended to be watched.

Don't forget Edna Mode's quirkiness and humorous moments here which is worth of the wait, and including Frozone's funny wife which is starred in the trailer.

Rating: 8/10 -> 4/5 stars

The Incredibles 2 Review
Cinematography: 7/10 There were no awkward pauses or awkward double takes.

Costume Design: 9.732/10 I like the way the fashion is interwoven in the film's story through Edna Mode. Besides Edna Mode, fashion is already a part of the conversation from the beginning of the film concerning super hero attire in attendance to the meeting with Winston Deavor. Attire helps a great theme of the story concerning hiding and revealing.

Film Editing: 9.732/10 I didn't feel like any repeat scenes were in use with voice overs. Sometimes repeat scenes are noticeable by repeated character action or awkward placement of a scene with voice overs (which will receive notice in a future review concerning another film).

Make-up and Hair-styling: 6/10 For an animation - okay - It's definitely not like Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. At the same time, I don't think that much fine CGI handling with make-up and hair-styling is an aim of The Incredibles 2.

Sound Editing: 7.732/10 Clear, crisp, and accurate. I don't find the baby's mannerisms annoying throughout either: I actually find them more amusing through until the end of the film. There was no overkill sounds to force comedic effects.

Visual Effects: 9.479/10 The Incredibles 2 looks solid and the visuals work very well with the film's flow. The action is well-done, simple, and not corny.

Story: 8.759/10 I like the story. The film brings about a huge timeless theme concerning hiding and revealing which people go through on a second-by-second basis. People want to be themselves and - at times, conform to their social surroundings which may be against the direction of their choosing for their life. Yet, these same people attempt to be their selves in other ways, and - at times, don't reveal their true complete self until another - like a "hero" or "heroine" in position to do so - steps forward to fight for their own rights which supports the rights of so many in hiding. The film draws heavily on the importance of being and unity, of and between, those striving for their freedoms.

Acting: 8.999/10 The voices stimulate the animations. A part of the reason the film is enjoyable is heavily due to the voice acting. After watching a lot of dubbed shows, one learns to realize the importance of voice acting and the difference voice acting may have on a production - especially the final result of a production.

Personal: The Incredibles 2 is an enjoyable film. It's definitely a film worth having in one's film library.

Overall: 8.429/10

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This movie is very good, and is up to par with the original, if not even better. With delightful visuals, and a good story, this movie will keep adults and children entertained for the entirety. The subtle-not so subtle anti-screen propaganda is annoying, but is fairly easy to get around. The super mom message was good, and I enjoyed it a good bit. I went in expecting extreme 'super female lead character' motives as the movie industry has been playing on for a while, but it's surprisingly toned down, and is enjoyable versus in your face. The side characters were fairly good, but could've used a little more work. The Jack-Jack subplot was fairly good, and Edna played a very good overbearing aunt. Was it worth the 14 year wait? Sure. It was a good movie, and I'd go see it again any time. Good movie, and with a few tweaks it could be a very well made movie. I'd see a third and have it be a trilogy. Sure! Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. BREAKDOWN

Writing (Brad Bird): Here is where the film faults, unfortunately. It had a great foundation that is tripped up by the execution in the script. Making the Screenslaver reveal a big deal was fault #1 and could have been better if dramatic irony was used and we as an audience knew who Screenslaver was but Mrs. Incredible didn't due to her being caught up in her own ego. The dual storylines of Mrs. Incredible and Mr. Incredible were each necessary on their own, but the balance between the two felt off tonally and should have been mixed in a better way. Despite these faults, the allegories to immigration and media manipulation present in the script make this film much more enjoyable. Also, the writing of the new supers is fun and their powers are handled well. My biggest problem after watching this film a second time is the ending. I would have loved to see more fighting between the Incredibles + Frozone and the new supers. It seems the new supers were handled with such ease that they never seemed like a problem besides that first scene at the Incredi-House. Seeing a more prolonged fight would have been more enjoyable than them trying to stop the boat which they could have done while fighting the other supers and would have been more impressive. 5/10

Performances: Craig T. Nelson, Samuel L. Jackson, and Holly Hunter are perfect in their roles just like last time. The entire cast is fantastic, especially with the new addition of Bob Odenkirk who, once again, brings a character to life with a vibrant performance, this time through voice. 9/10

Cinematography (Mahyar Abousaeedi/Erik Smitt): This film is stunning visually with beautiful frames and smooth, long shots. The most stunning visual, in my opinion, is the fight with Screenslaver in his apartment and the room is flashing with the hypnosis. The animation combined with the excellent lighting and cinematography made it a jaw-dropping scene. 9/10

Editing (Stephen Schaffer): The editing here is amazing during action scenes but sub-par during down moments. It was clear it was tough balancing the two storylines through editing. Sometimes a tense moment with Elastigirl would be interrupted by a cut to what Bob was doing with Jack-Jack. However, it didn't happen enough to qualify a poor rating. 6/10

Visual Effects (Josh Holtsclaw): The animation is INCREDIBLE, pun intended, in this film. Miles ahead of its predecessor. Somehow they managed to make each scene even more stunning than the last through the animation alone. 10/10

Enjoyment: The fights in this film are a lot of fun. And I mean A LOT of fun. The only fight that could have used work was the fight against the new supers at the end. Making that the climax as opposed to the boat being diverted away from the city would have bumped up this rating. Also the poor balance during slow moments takes a hit here because sometimes it makes the movie boring or takes away from the tension. 7/10

Musical Score (Michael Giacchino): Michael Giacchino does it again and makes an exciting score that is perfect just on its own. After seeing this film the first time, I could not get enough of the score and would listen to it while doing chores and writing. Somehow they manage to add on to the excellent score from the first film. 10/10

Sound Mixing: The sound in this film is exciting and loud and mixed well, but we don't get enough atmospheric tone which could have enhanced the film. But with what it is now, it's still great and fits the overall tone of the flick. 8/10

Production Design (Ralph Eggleston): The production design of this film is amazing. Each set speaks for itself and says so much about the characters that own them while also providing excellent backdrops for fights or intimate scenes. 9/10

Summary: 'Incredibles 2' is a visual stunner with mostly exciting setpieces, but suffers in its downtime and its ending. However, it does not fail at providing an excellent allegory to the times we unfortunately live in. 8/10

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I really don't like the fact that its name doesn't have The before it. Like, why? Now the two movies won't be next to each other whenever they are alphabetically arranged. But anyway, that's just a minor inconvenience. I hope that's the only problem I have with this movie, other than probably the fact that it's nowhere as memorable as the first movie. While The Incredibles is something of a pop culture icon this movie is, well, let's just say we'd have never learnt about it if it wasn't advertised so much.

Incredibles 2 starts off from the part where the prequel left. And it finally answers the question of what happened in the fight between the Parr family and the Moleman - It... Happened. The only thing that came out of it was that Violet's BF learnt about her identity, which was later wiped out (or so I remember, I don't even think this movie was memorable enough. I'm remembering all the scenes as I'm writing this). So now Helen is out on another adventure, leaving Bob with the kids. And he's terrible at handling them. It was a very funny scene, seeing him struggle everyday trying to help Dash with his homework and Jack Jack in changing his diapers.

The family moves into a new home which is way better than their previous one. Dash and Violet discover Bob's car and they bring it home. Then something something Helen finds out the guy who she's working with has a sister who is her costume designer, and she's secretly evil. And now it's up to the kids to save the day with all the superpowers and plot armours. See this is exactly the problem of this movie. It is super predictable, although that's not a bad thing since the way those scenes are executed make it very satisfactory to watch.

The animation of this movie is probably the best thing about it. It is one of the only things which has improved drastically since the first movie. The Incredibles, you might remember, was very cool. But I just wrote a review of it yesterday and it was then that I realised the quality of that movie has aged terribly. In terms of polygon count this one takes the win. However, I also mentioned in that review that the thing which makes The Incredibles so much fun to watch is that it feels like a videogame, something similar to Sonic the Hedgehog or Spider-Man for PS4. That's not something I could say about this movie.

Incredibles 2 isn't one of the movies Pixar is known for making. It's something of a sequel that can only satisfy you that the fight in the end of the first movie didn't end on a suspenseful note. It is a one-time watch for the fans of the first movie, although the kids might like it since the movie seemed to be more oriented towards them.

I am happy to say that this movie is worth the wait, and it is fantastic. However, I do think the first Incredibles is marginally better for a couple of reasons. This movie isn't as gritty and gruesome as the first, which is both nice and a fault in comparison. The story is good but not as great, and the villain is considerably weaker than Syndrome. Other than that, this movie is a blast. It is so great to see these characters again. The animation is amazing; it's so cool to see the animation from this movie and compare it to the first. The action sequences are also stunning. Most superhero films today wish they had action scenes this good. The music is also great; Michael Giacchino once again does a fabulous job with the score. I do believe that if this movie came out earlier it would have a more consistent tone that lined up with the first, because watching these back to back they do feel a little different, and it's not just the updated and improved animation. I do feel that this movie would benefit from that dark and gritty tone that the first Incredibles nailed. Still, Incredibles 2 is worth the wait, and quite the blast. Expand

In terms of anything that's improved, I'd say the fight scenes and set pieces in this one have gotten a welcomed amount more intense - something I'd imagine that the improvements in animation has paved the way for. But other than these things, "Incredibles 2" never really wowed me with its thematic content or narrative developments, especially when it came to its villain. But they can't all be Syndrome, I guess. Still, this is a fun, expertly designed film that just reaches the "worthy enough" zone in terms of following in the footsteps of its predecessor. Expand

The result is a fun return, yet one that came up a bit short of my expectations. Really all it felt like was a role reversal of the first. Instead of Mr. Incredible going out to fight crime/the main antogonist and getting captured, it's the exact same things only with Elastigirl this time. Certain side plots felt a bit rushed as well, particularly the opening moments of the film, and it also copied a scene from the short 'Jack Jack Attack' almost word for word, which was a bit amusing but mostly came off as kinda lazy to me. Nevertheless, the action of course is bigger and more colorful than ever and it's got its fair share of fun and humorous moments as well, especially with Jack Jack, but I also wish there could've been slightly more screen time for Edna Mode as well. Overall, it's definitely a fun sequel that's worth checking out, as it gets the job done in terms of entertainment, but I personally felt that it doesn't hold a candle to the first. Expand

WARNING: there is a scene that contains tons of flashing bright lights that seems like it could harm photosensitive viewers. Incredibles 2 was a blast to watch in the theater with awesome fights and jokes that were laugh-out-loud worthy. The villain was insightful and, like most great villains, had a great point to make. I especially liked the creative ways they use the different supers' powers, with each new fight feeling like more than a punch-fest with particle effects. Marvel should take note. One gripe that really bothered me, however, was how they handled Mr. Incredible himself. At the end of the first Incredibles movie, Mr. Incredible had undergone an epic personal journey. He began as a selfish father seeking the glory and adrenaline of his past, to the detriment of his friends and family. After facing numerous challenges and nearly losing his family, he realized that his family was his greatest adventure and became a good father. At the beginning of this movie, all the lessons Mr. Incredible learned have been thrown out the window. He's back to being a bad father who seeks personal glory, only this time he's more violent about it. As a sequel, this seemed to undermine the value of the first movie. Expand

Incredibles 2 ended up being pretty much what I feared it was going to be, more of a cartoon. However, although it never comes close to the original, it still is very entertaining and tons of fun.

The adult humor that portrays the struggle that every parent goes through, it is relatable and enjoyable to watch. The only problem I had with the movie was I didn’t think the villain was a very round character. She just seemed predictable which maybe that’s because I am an adult. Like a better sequel would have beenI enjoyed this movie overall, HOWEVER it still is incredibly disappointing and kind of discouraging to see how this movie could have been so much better instead of this safe and corporate sequel we got. Like a better sequel would have been that the film took place years later then right after the last film when the Underminer attacked the city. Violet, Dash, and Jack-Jack can be all grown up, taking up identities removed from their family lineage, Bob and Helen could contemplate retiring now that a newer generation of heroes are taking over. It would have built on more of the family dynamic that worked so well in the first film and it would have been appropriate for fans who grew up with the first film. But instead it's basically Mr. Mom but with superheroes...

Okay that's not really fair, there are plenty of things that are good about this film. For one, the family dynamic is still great in this film. As much as I joked before about this movie having the same plot of Mr. Mom, I do like how Bob grows in this film at struggling to raise his kids, which included one touching scene. The action scenes are phenomenal, they make a lot of great use of their powers and setting, especially Elastigirl. I also like how this movie (really both films) feels a lot more like a spy film than a superhero movie, which I mean considering that Brad Bird directed Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, it make sense but still. The animation looks great and it is a ton of fun to see the characters updated with subtle updates to their models. The humor is pretty great too, especially from Jack-Jack which I was not expecting to like that much (although it is more of the characters reacting to Jack-Jack). The music is basically the same from the first film, but I mean the score to the Incredibles is one of the best film scores of the 21st century so who can complain?

Okay so for the bad. A lot like Mr. Mom (which no I will not shut up about), the characters never grow and they just end up right where they were when the film starts. Helen never learns any lesson in the end, Dash and Violet don't get a lot to do, and while Bob does have a meaningful plot about being a good dad, he pretty much just ends up being the same old Mr. Incredible from the last movie! I don't feel like any lessons were learned or any growth given to them. The dialogue can be pretty crap too. The whole legalizing superhero plot is incredibly on the nose and lacking any tension as it's never challenges any of the characters, along with some cringe-worthy lines that just do not sound right when the voice actors are delivering them. But the big issue is the villain. Screenslaver sucks! For one it is so obvious who Screenslaver is, trying to have like a red herring twist to it that is never convincing, and also the motivation they give Screenslaver is just terrible! I mean say what you will about Syndrome, at least he was well rounded, was interesting and had quirks that made him unique, and his motivation made sense to his character!

Overall I get why people will not like this movie, but I still enjoyed it personally. But it really could have been so much better than bordering on average!

The film is heavy with feminist themes .Mr Incredible is the typical dumb man with toxic masculinity and the women in the film are the smart ones .
They do a work reversal with him staying at home and being house dad and her being the hero so we get the guy struggling of course. They are pretty blunt with the hammer sometimes and i could have done without it really but i guess that's what we're in for now for awhile.
The plot was decent and interesting.
The best parts were involving jack-jack and the kids really, especially jack-jack.
Edwina or whatever her name is,the suit designer was excellent as well.
So overall i enjoyed the film but could have used less social justice.

So, overall, the movie is good, but tremendously hurt by its script and villain.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. So to start off, this movie could easily be a 6/10 simply because of how lazy Mr. Incredible's parts were. It's easiest to review this film by taking apart the two plots. Mr. I at home and Mrs. I at work, as well as what happens before and after. First, the movies begging. Pretty good, actually. The beggining fight scene with the villian known as the underminer, was pretty solid. Second, we get into the part where the incredibles get in trouble for being heroes when heroes are illegal. They get in trouble blah blah blah. Later Mr. and Mrs. Incredible are apprached by Frozone and he tells them there is a guy who wants to make heros legal. Ten minutes later we learn about this guy and his sister and Mrs. I is choosen to go into hero work and let Mr. I stay home with the kids. This is where we see Mrs. and Mr.'s incredbibles realationship show. They have an imperfect bond and I like how their relationship with each other was written. Sadly though, this relationship is underultilized. Now, into the two main plots. We'll start with Mr. I and his plot while he watched the kids at home. This plot was unfortunatly very lazily written and the worst part of the entire movie. Everything her has been used before. Its just the same dad has trouble taking care of the kids while mom is away with the work Superhero slapped on. Violets boy trouble, Dash's boy trouble, and Jack Jack being a problem because he's a baby. The only thing that makes these problems original is the fact that they are caused by superhero powers (save Dash, he's apparently just bad at math). Despite plot problems, I will give this part of the plot this: Its surprisingly funny. Its not always laugh out loud funny, but you'll find yourself smiling or chuckling at times. Edna's scenes were by far the best and most humorous. I mean, Mr. I's part of the plot was really only comic relief and was only really important at the end of the movie. Next, Mrs. I's plot. I loved Mrs. I's plot. It was fun, action packed and honestly, just really enjoyable. There were no humorous themes and the plot got a bit dark at times which I appplaud. On top of that the action scences are really fun the watch and the villian was really interesting, even if at times her interesting villian motivation ended up being a bit unrealistic. Now comes the twist, the villian is the sister of the guy who wants to make supers legal. She believes her father died (he was shot), because he depended on the supers to save him to much, even after they were made illegal. Its a interesting motivation, even if it is a tad unrealistic. She is known as the Screenslaver and the scences where she uses optical illusions to control people are really cool. Now we get to the part where the two plots intersect. Screenslaver takes control of Mrs. I lures Mr. I to Mrs. I and enslaves him two, and well as enslaving a lot of other heros. I dont know what to say about the conclusion. There is nothing wrong with. The kids free Mrs. I who frees Frozone and Mr. I and they stop Screenslaver from crashings a boat into the city. Supers are made legal, blah blah blah. In conclusion while Mr. I's parts were bland and lazy save some humor, Mrs. I's were fun and intewresting. I found myself able to tolerate the movies many weaknesses due to its stranghts. Where you give this a six or a seven depends how much you liked the jokes and Mr. I's parts. Mrs. I's you'll prouboubly find most people enjoying. PS: The music was also good. Expand

Personally, I face sequels with some precaution, but there is no doubt that, at times, they exceed the original. In this specific case, what we have at hand is a work that is perfectly up to the initial work.

The biggest flaw in this film, for me, was the script, which is too similar to the initial film: the Parr family are, again, called by a millionaire determined to rehabilitate the superheroes but, this time, its Helen who is going on a quest for adventures, leaving her husband at home, looking after the house and children. Its a feminist film in its essence, which can be nothing more than a blink of an eye to politically correct and social movements that, in the past, accused Disney of being misogynist.

The film is quite good, and you can even notice the correction of some problems seen in the first film. The voice cast continues to be excellent and doing a good job, and I would positively highlight the performance of Holly Hunter, Craig Nelson and Sarah Vowell. This time, I didn't feel the film dragging on as it did the first, perhaps thanks to a better balance between length and pace. The story told also seemed to me to have adult elements enough to please the older audience to the same extent that it will please the younger ones.

Technically, it is a Disney film, and that says, practically, everything: a careful and appealing visual cinematography, excellent drawings and lines in a film that never goes in search of graphic realism. The use of excellent CGI and visual effects are essential to make the film visually pleasing and appealing. In addition to this, we have a good soundtrack, full of epic and heroic sense, which combines quite well with the theme of the film but is not heard.

Thankfully, Incredibles 2 is not one of those missteps. It's a riveting, fun adventure for kids and is just as entertaining for the adults, even if it never reaches the masterful heights of its predecessor.

I think that the first Incredibles film is a masterpiece. What made it so great is that it had--in addition to its eye-popping beautiful animation and action--an emotionally affecting story about a married couple that rediscovers how much they rely on one another, how neither one of them is complete without the other. This made it so much more powerful because it was deeply resonating for adults while still being very entertaining for the whole family. Incredibles 2 is certainly still a lot of fun for the family, but I just didn't feel that it had the emotional heft that was boasted by its predecessor. There are some sweet scenes that explore the dynamic of the Parr family that elevate the story, but they feel much more forced with dialogue that often doesn't come across as natural.

The weakest aspect of Incredibles 2 is its story and villain. Neither of them is bad by any means, but there's just nothing unexpected about it. 15 minutes into the movie, it's clear what the direction is and the plot then proceeds to follow expectations beat for beat.

That being said, Incredibles 2 is another fantastic achievement from Disney/Pixar. The animation is so fully realized that I could not believe my eyes. The color perfectly sets the tone of the scenes, the action is perfectly choreographed and constructed, and while some of the humor feels shoehorned into the script, the vast majority of it works very well and it all adds up to make this sequel a great summer film and a crowd-pleaser.

So there's no doubt that this long-awaited sequel was one of my most anticipated movies of this year, especiallyThe original Incredibles is not only one of my favorite animated movies, but it's also one of my favorite superhero movies ever. So there's no doubt that this long-awaited sequel was one of my most anticipated movies of this year, especially before seeing the trailers! I didn't like the trailers, the first one in particular, because I predicted that this movie would lean heavily on a formula we got tired of. This formula includes two messages; the female empowerment, and "taking care of your family is the true superheroic act", and that's exactly what we got in this movie, especially the first message, it's a political issue, so .... why not? This formula didn't just make everything in the movie looks like I've seen million times before, but it also made this movie feels outdated. Actually, the problem isn't only related to the messages, but the plot itself is formulaic and outdated for a superhero movie. Almost everything happens, every event, every element, every part in this movie is archetypal.
The developments of the story are typical. The characters are slightly developed, but also in away that doesn't feel authentic or original by any means.
The villain, Screenslaver, is stereotypical and feels if he comes from an old cheesy superhero movie, or an animated movie from any animation studio except Pixar. This villain even acts like The Joker, so that's saying something. Even his motives are well-worn, and he revealed them in a single monologue. Yes, this very monologue that Syndrome mocked in the original movie. So don't expect a villain like Syndrome. So don't expect to see a villain like Syndrome. And of course, we have a plot twist in this movie but I saw it coming from far away, so it definitely didn't work. Also, what leads us to the ending is rushed and quite absurd. Nevertheless, there are some subtle plot details in the part when Elastigirl was fighting crime. They leaned so heavily on the humor in this sequel. The humor wasn't bad at first. In fact, almost every joke that is related to Jack-Jack worked, and I couldn't help but burst out in laughter almost every time he made a single noise. But the jokes became repetitive, so they lost all their sharpness. Also, the timing of the humor was very bad at the third act. What's worse, at least for me, is that they made Bob Parr a total moron so he can be the comic relief while making Elastigirl the real heroine of the movie. Now, Dash is my favorite Incredible! What a likable character he is! He is very cool, and all his actions are fit for his age. That gave this character a sense of reality. In fact, all the characters act if they were real. When they interact with each other, when they get tired, when they become happy, when they laugh, even when they breathe they feel if they were actual people, if they were humans, and that's really INCREDIBLE! All the cast is great, as usual. But Holly Hunter who shines in this sequel. She gave even more energy Helen Parr/Elastigirl.
I was worried because they replaced Spencer Fox, the original actor who voiced Dash, but I think Huck Milner is even better! Frozone had much more time in this sequel, and that made this character seems much more like Samuel L. Jackson, and of course this is a bonus! Jack Jack's new abilities are basically perfect, both in what his powers are and in how they are revealed. Michael Giacchino's score is gold, and well-used. The animation is top-notch and seamless. But it's the action in this movie that should have a fair share of praise. Incredibles 2 has some of the most thrilling and exhilarating action sequences ever in an animated movie, if not memorable enough. The movie full of flashing lights that aren't just annoying, but they really can be harmful to the eyes, especially if you watched the movie in 3D. I'm sorely disappointed, but I'll try as much as I can not to make my let-down affect my rating, especially because most of the issues I've with this movie are related to one thing, the triteness that I, as a Disney/Pixar fan, didn't get used to. (7/10)

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Incredibles 2 is a feature that has been long anticipated by fans of the original. It finally comes out fourteen years later, and I'm unsure how I feel. I like the concept of Helen being the one to take charge, but I feel like that's what this movie falls short on. It's nice to see her be able to handle stuff on her own while also having a sense of vulnerability, but I wish the movie had shown more teamwork, not just between her and her husband but with the entire family. Another complaint with this movie is that sometimes the pacing seemed all over the place. At times it felt like the movie itself thought it was being too slow and had to immediately make something go wrong in order to keep audiences enthralled. I will take a moment just to point out the absolutely amazing beginning battle, though. I don't know how other critics feel about this one, but I HATED the villain. It was just another cliche and it really just made me groan and roll my eyes rather than be surprised. I liked the idea of her being helpful towards Helen. It just feels redundant, and I think that is the movie's biggest fault. I'm growing tired of twist villains in movies, especially from Disney, and the Screenslaver just seemed like a way for Disney to pass off being lazy. With that being said, I did like the Screenslaver's speech about humanity being drawn to technology and never getting to truly experience real life. But, sadly, that's just about the only thing I enjoyed about the character, besides its design and concept. I also feel like Screenslaver's motive - to make supers illegal for good - wasn't executed or touched on that well. As soon as the female was revealed as the villain it just seemed more like a villain-is-one-dimensionally-bad-and-that-kinda-valid-motive-we-heard-earlier-is-just-gone-now sort of deal. One good thing I DO want to point out about this movie is VIOLET. Some might disagree but I really enjoyed seeing her be dramatic about not being remembered by the boy of her dreams. She was funny about it despite being crabby and angry at her father for erasing the boy's memories. She had nice dialogue, and I really enjoyed seeing her be able to take care of Jak-Jak AND Dash at the same time, especially during their rescue mission. I also liked the use of her powers. Nothing has really changed from the first film but she seems to know when to use them better (for example, using her force-field as a way to break the fall as she and Dash fall onto the deck of a ship from a high altitude). There was also a scene where her powers were shown to be exceedingly vulnerable, where an attack had her forcefield shrinking in on her and Dash, sure to crush them if it hadn't been counter-acted by Frozone. Speaking of Frozone, I absolutely LOVE that they put more of him in this movie. We get to see that he's actually a well-structured character outside of being a super-hero. He's funny, protective over the kids, friendly to the Helen and Bob, and just overall a very nice character. He and Edna were probably the best characters in this movie, which is pretty sad to say considering who the real main characters actually are. All in all, Incredibles 2 WASN'T really all that good to me. It isn't a BAD movie, but it isn't good. I'm not going to be dramatic about it and say that Disney ruined the franchise for me, but I don't think that they did such a good job on this sequel. I don't see myself rewatching this feature anytime soon, which is really sad because I actually do like the Incredibles. I liked Violet, and I liked Frozone and Edna and even Jak-Jak, but Incredibles 2 falls flat in a lot of places, places that I just can't forgive. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. So, I was pretty excited going into this movie. I do really like the first movie, I think it’s easily in the top 5 for Pixar, but this movie was a little disappointing. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed it, but it didn’t even come close to what the first movie was, but it was still a positive experience. The main issue was the plot. It wasn’t awful, but it was highly predictable. I figured out who the villian was nearly the second the character was on screen. It was either that or she had a crush on Elastigirl. Honestly hard to tell at first. I also thought her motivation was kind of stupid, and her plan was on the weak side for sure. Another big issue was that the main characters changed in personality a bit. Like Bob a total jerk the whole time. He had to pretend to support his wife based on his own selfish needs, so I think that says enough. Also Dash just became a total brat. Everyone else was pretty much the same. One somewhat minor complaint is that some of the line delivery felt kind of cheesy to me. Now for the positive. THE ANIMATION. Pixar proves time and time again that they are the absolute kings of theatrical animation, and this is one of their best looking movies yet. But I do think the ‘The Good Dinosaur’, ‘Cars 3’, ‘Finding Dory’, and ‘Coco’ look better. The writing here is mostly great. I laughed at nearly every joke in the movie. I especially liked the scene with Jack Jack fighting the raccoon, I thought that was one of the best parts of the movie, if not, the best part. I also want to applaud this movies for somewhat pushing the movie rating system by saying words like ‘hell’, ‘damn’, and ‘God’, having guns appear (shooting them as well), and showing characters drinking alcohol. All of that, and they still got a a PG rating. I know that they’ve done this in other Pixar movies, like ‘Cars’ and ‘Ratatouille’, but it still surprises and impresses me that they can get away with something that other animation studios with younger demographics rarely ever try. But I do have to go shout out ‘Shrek’. They do get away with a lot in that movie in very clever ways. Overall, this movie is a fun popcorn flick that’s weak plot doesn’t affect it too much, which is rare. I would recommend this movie to fans of the first and anyone who enjoys Pixar movies in general. This movie was well worth the 14-year wait. The fact that the story managed to mislead me into who the actual villain was is a tribute to good writing.

My kids really loved it. Didn't feel as sharp to me as the first one in terms of the story - kinda flagged a little bit. But the action scenes were AMAZING. And nice to see ElastiGirl get front and center attention.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Incredibles 2 has a scope that both reaches to the past and extends forward into the future. What I enjoyed the most was the family element, what makes a family, and also how different family dynamics can play out. I found the Parr family struggling with their new situation very insightful and entertaining. Edna was wonderful and Jack Jack was endearing, though by the end I found it a little ridiculous with how many powers he started to exhibit. The villain, though the reveal and character switch was a little predictable and contrived, I found their motivation very compelling and relevant in today's age and added to the suspense. In summary: It was very satisfying, funny, and compelling and I can't wait for the next one. PS:-- The short at the beginner (Bao) was very touching. Not as good as Chess Game, but then what really is right. Expand

This is an ok movie, with good animations and a good story, but the villian is stupid for me, its a tipical cliche and i do not like it, the secondary superheros are very forgettable and they do not have a unforgettable part in the movie, i think this movie its ok,the wait was for a movie with a bad villain, forgettable characters, but with good moments, good jokes, good soundtrack and good voices. This had been a long-needed sequel, and a long-time coming. As far as super hero movies go, I actually enjoyed this more than some live action hero films, which was a great surprise to me. 7/10.

A decent movie with really good fighting scenes. But they are some inconsistencies like in the first movie they knew that their baby had super powers but in this one they just find out that it has powers??Also the villain is pretty boring and cliche

Gran peccato.

Consigliato? Sì, vi divertirà senz'altro.

13 years later, the sequel has finally arrived. It picks up right where the first one left off, so we get to see how the family is doing immediately with the same circumstance that troubled them on the first film.

What I noted immediately is that the plot is very similar, if not identical to the previous movie, with a few details modified. It's very clear that the writers tried to, once again, capitalize on the conflict of balancing the superhero life to the normal family life, a task that I think is better achieved on this movie. However, I once again think the plot could've been a bit more ambitious, so the story didn't feel like a generic kids action movie.

Yet again, the visuals are the biggest selling points here, as everything looks amazing, it's really a feast for the eyes. The characters and their suits really show the magic that Pixar is able to pull off.

As similar as it is to the first film, I can't help feel that everything was done slightly better in this installment, although I wished the studio were a little more ambitious in the way they treat these iconic characters.

The animation was top notch, no doubt, but the story, plot, pacing missed a step or two, and sorry, but Holly Hunter as "Elasti-girl" voiced with a lisp and that was just so distracting. And the whole mind control thing with a pair of sunglasses basically would only be plausible to kids. Given all this, this effort is a 7 at best, but a 6 for me. Expand

Admittedly this film was never going to match the 14 years of hype build up around it. But having said that it never really felt like it came close.

It is unfortunately and almost directly recycled plot from the first movie but in a slightly worse manner. It also had a hugely dissapointing lack of actual powers used in it and a story much to focused on Jack Jack.

By no means a bad movie, but not a scratch on the first. If i didnt already have love for the franchise i would of probably rated this lower.

A fine family film for a rainy day but dont go out of your way to see it.
