I read both of the professional critics' reviews after having thoroughly enjoyed watching "In Harm's Way." I am not a connoisseur of CGI, and I did not let substandard production values, occasionally stilted dialogue, or a plot condemned as "formulaic" keep me from being thoroughly engaged by the story and charmed by the artistry of the actresses playing the widow and her young daughter. As I so often observe, critics praise to the skies films that have little or no appeal to normal theatergoers while they look down their noses at movies that average people want to watch.… Expand
