Levando em conta que a proposta do filme é entretenimento da forma mais "passa tempo" possível, o resultado não chega a ser ruim. Porém, qual o diferencial?

As cenas de ação são interessantes em determinados pontos. Alguns planos são relativamente longos, e também há uma coreografia bem trabalhada, mas nada que fuja do padrão. A câmera não é tão tremida, mas o fato dela não explorar a geografia do local e dar mais ênfase a luta como uma disputa, mas sim como um figurante aleatório para o protagonista matar, me incomodou bastante. Nada parece um desafio, e o roteiro descaradamente ajuda o protagonista a se safar de situações improváveis. Eu não me importaria se não fosse contraditório, visto que o final é deveras pessimista para o gênero. Como eu costumo dizer, isso causa uma consequência muito ruim para a trama, que parece subestimar o público e não cativa nenhum sentimento. As mortes finais tem um apelo dramático sem lógica, que esbanjam ser puramente convenientes.

O desenvolvimento dos personagens ocorre de uma maneira mínima para que se haja o que temer, seja algo indireto - como uma família - ou direto - sendo o próprio personagem.
Posso dizer que, para o gênero, é até suficiente. Porém, não me atiçou em momento algum. Não da pra entender muito bem de onde vem a empatia de um Mercenário como o Tyler, já que a morte do seu filho não bate. O seu ressentimento ao matar crianças - que são bandidos e se tornarão piores - é incompreensível para quem está a tanto tempo no ramo e chega a matar sem hesitar. O garoto é aceitável; seu antigo companheiro - "ex-mercenário"-, interpretado por David Harbour, é lúcido e calejado, só que no contexto do filme, só parece mais outro atrás de dinheiro.

O figurino é muito bom, junto a cenografia. A edição de áudio retrata bem a poluição sonora, que junto a fotografia [com uma paleta de cores muito quente], passa bem a sensação de estar num local como aquele.… Expand

Great acting by Ranadeep Hooda. After watching the movie he is the only Indian actor I like. Indian movies must learn how to make movies like this. The story is good but the action is satisfying, so 5 stars for action lol.

There is one action sequence near the start involving a car chase which I'd rate a 10 in itself, it's truly fantastic. Rest of the movie not so much!

These action movies nowadays are trying to copy John Wick. Extraction is a borderline bad movie with just enough decent stuff to keep it from being bad. The cinematography is bland, the action set pieces, minus the one take one, was bland and the characters were bland. The script was terrible and the story was so bloated and boring that I was scratching my head wondering why they made this movie 2 hours long. I would have been more lenient if the movie was at max an hour and a half long but 2 hours is pushing it. I would recommend passing on this unless you really want to watch it.… Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This movie wants to be John Wick meets Sicario, but it lacks a unique enough identity to make it work.

This is one of the most clichéd, generic and unremarkable action movies I've seen in a while.

Everything from its ugly, yellow-tinted cinematography to its horrible script, makes it almost indistinguishable from some direct-to-video action film that no one ever buys.

It isn't all negative though.
The action is, for the most part, pretty impressive.
There's one sequence that is one long take and it's by far the best moment in the movie (if you can overlook the painfully obvious hidden cuts).

Chris Hemsworth's performance is alright, but his character is not memorable or likeable.
David Harbour shows up towards the middle and he's really good, but he's gone far too quickly.
The kid that plays Hemsworth's rescue target is really not good. He's suposed to be scared for most of the movie, but he just looks confused.

It's a bore and it sucks, which is a shame, because there could be a good movie buried in here, somewhere.

It also kinda, sorta, maybe sets up a sequel?

Just because it's a bloody action movie, doesn't mean that you gotta get every single fact wrong.

People in Bangladesh don't talk in that accent, they don't listen to hindi music in their homes in the middle of the day. Hooligans in DhakaJust because it's a bloody action movie, doesn't mean that you gotta get every single fact wrong.

People in Bangladesh don't talk in that accent, they don't listen to hindi music in their homes in the middle of the day. Hooligans in Dhaka don't use AK-47s. Heads of the mafia don't let wasted kids in their dining rooms.

Most importantly, a big foreign guy like Hemmy doesn't just go around talking suspiciously on the phone in broad daylight in the middle of a busy street in Dhaka without attracting huge crowd.

60 something year old leader of a law & enforcement starts sniping and accurately killing people by headshots from quite a distance? Give me a break! That's superhero stuff. Wait..

Action was good, but nothing spectacular or ground-breaking by today's standard.… Expand

This is nothing new from Hollywood to show another country badly. It's normal and they are doing it for ages. That's why this movie has Zero authenticity about everything. About the plot, things don't happen like this in Bangladesh, and Dhaka is not like the way it's shown in the movie. And when the shooting was done elsewhere (only plate shots were taken in Dhaka) what would you expect? Lack of research and knowledge ruins the movie. And anyway the plot is very weak afterall.… Expand

What the hell ? This is not John Wick. The gun fight just everywhere, make me tired. I can't understand the purpose of the main characters. Can't understand what story behind him. generic cheap produced cgi action film without anything worth seeing. a rich boy is kidnapped by the indian drug cartel. chris hemsworth has to save him. not exciting not funny but yawning boring.

This might be a great action movie but Bangladesh is not a war torned African country. People doesn't roam around with machine guns , let alone teenagers. How come Police and Army of a country support mafia? C'mon, this is just too much. Just study a bit before you tarnish a country's name. Bangladesh is nothing like this. This movie has great action and probably will be studied for these but it also made Bangladesh seem bad towards the world. May be no action will be taken but they should apologize or atleast change the name to some fictional country like Wakanda!!!

Dhaka doesn’t seem Dhaka.

Bangla doesn’t sound like Bangla. Bangali doesn't look like Bangali. If you want to make a movie on a Bangladeshi plot, you’ve got to shoot here, cast local actors and at least try to be as authentic you can be.Dhaka doesn’t seem Dhaka.

The way they represent Dhaka,it's not our Dhaka.In the movie,Dhaka's people the way they talk,what rubbish!They can't talk Bangla perfectly.Even,the car or location or Behaviour don't match with our's people.

#Extraction মুভি টা দেখলাম Netflix এ - বাংলাদেশ কে যুদ্ধবিধ্বস্ত সোমালিয়ার মোগাদিসু টাইপ হিসেবে রিপ্রেজেন্ট করা হয়েছে - সামরিক বাহিনীর সব এলিমেন্টকে খুব হেয় করে উপস্থাপন করা হয়েছে - সেনা বাহিনী কে তো বটেই আবার RAB কে বানানো হয়েছে আন্ডার#Extraction মুভি টা দেখলাম Netflix এ - বাংলাদেশ কে যুদ্ধবিধ্বস্ত সোমালিয়ার মোগাদিসু টাইপ হিসেবে রিপ্রেজেন্ট করা হয়েছে - সামরিক বাহিনীর সব এলিমেন্টকে খুব হেয় করে উপস্থাপন করা হয়েছে - সেনা বাহিনী কে তো বটেই আবার RAB কে বানানো হয়েছে আন্ডার গ্রাউন্ডের সহযোগী। RAB এর কর্নেল বজলুল কে ( সিনেমার রোল) বানানো হয়েছে সন্ত্রাসের সহযোগী। ইন্ডিয়ান সন্ত্রাসী গোষ্টি বাংলাদেশে ঢূকে একটা বাচ্চাকে উদ্ধার করে নিয়ে যায় তাও আবার হেলিকপ্টার অপারেশন করে - সুলতানা কামাল ব্রিজে সিনেমার শেষ অংশ এভাবেই ধারন করা হয়। সিনেমার মদ্ধা কথা - বাংলাদেশের যে কোন এলিট ফোর্স কে ইন্ডিয়ান সন্ত্রাসীরা বুড়ো আংগুল দেখাতে পারে। সিনেমায় সরাসরি কোন দেশের অফিশিয়াল বিভিন্ন সংস্থার রেং বেজ কিম্বা দপ্তর দেখানোর সম্ভবত পুর্ব অনুমতি লাগে এবং স্ক্রিপ্ট জমা দেয়া লাগে - অনেক সময় সত্য ঘটনা গুলোতে ইউজ করা যায় কিন্তু ইন্ডিয়ান রা এই রকম একটা গাঞ্জা খুরি চলচিত্র বানালো আমাদের সমস্থ সামরিক আধা সামরিক বাহিনীকে ব্যাবহার করে - তাতে সরকার এখনো প্রতিবাদ কিম্বা এই সিনেমা ব্যান করার কোন উদ্দোগ নেয় নাই তাতে আশ্চর্য হওয়া ছাড়া কি করার আছে - ওরা সিনেমা বানায়ে সারা বিশ্বকে দেখাতে চায় বাংলাদেশ সন্ত্রাসের দেশ -আর এদের এলিট ফোর্স গুলাও সন্ত্রাসীদের সহযোগী এবং ধইঞ্চা - ইন্ডিয়ান রা সাধারন সন্ত্রাসী দিয়ে বাংলাদেশের ভিতরে সন্ত্রাস দমন করে - হুদাই কি কয়েকদিন ধইরা লাফাইতেছে ইন্দিয়ান আর্মী। ভালতো।… Expand
