This is very much a film about male competitiveness and to a lesser extent, masculinity. I wouldn't say its entirely about toxic masulinity as such but the characters featured are pretty petty, it's safe to say. Plot pace wise, its pretty slow and I thought it was quite bland. It certainly didn't keep me glued to the screen. There are some cliches present and the characters didn't interest me. I watched it, I wasn't completely bored from the start but also it certainly didn't grab me nor is it at all memorable really, in fact it felt a bit self indulgent if anything. Unsurprisingly, I wouldn't actively recommend this, no. There was something that sort of worked about it, although I'm not entirely sure what precisely - the surroundings perhaps but not much else.… Expand
