A big hit at last year’s film festivals, ‘Chevalier’ is billed as a comedy but is actually as funny as falling down a flight of stairs. Members of the audience I saw it with actually only laughed once. Others left! There doesn’t appear to be any rhyme, reason, or indeed, rules to the competition of which a group of men partake whilst together on a boat. The film is not only ponderous, it's pointless and without any merit whatsoever. I'm also still not sure who won the stupid contest. There are no stars in it and definitely non on it. This is a dud of the first order distinguishing itself by claiming the award for the worst film of the year so far, thereby letting ‘Triple 9’ of the hook.… Expand
