Quite possibly one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Only slightly better than Nacho Libre, which isn't saying much. How does Will Ferrell go from making good movies like "Stranger Than Fiction" to such crap?

The movie was mediocre at best. A lot of the jokes weren't very funny. What made it worse was that several of the unfunny jokes were re-used throughout the film as a running gag. Engrossing and intense gangster film set in present-day Boston with a strong plot, lots of interesting dialogue, and excellent acting. DiCaprio and Nicholson are standouts in a cast that seems to include half the A list Hollywood stars. Minor nits: some of the romantic dialogue between Matt Damon's character and his love interest came off as forced and unconvincing, and occasionally Jack Nicholson's acting bordered on ham.… Expand
