  1. Developer WOW takes advantage of Xbox Live's potential to deliver truly compelling multiplayer races. [Dec/Jan 2004, p.98]

I know that some gamers will find the Xbox Live feature of this game irresistible. For them this game will be a great bargain.
  3. I jumped online and started trading cars with other people, and getting into some competitive races. All of a sudden, an old game became almost brand new.

Selecting Online mode almost literally transports you to another game - a new interface and a surprisingly robust and navigable online selection screen. [Dec 2003, p.93]
  5. Even with its online flaws Sega GT Online is a steal at $20, especially if the 2002 game isn’t already part of your game library... This is easily the deepest racer available on the Xbox. It’s a shame that it’s not the best.
  6. Electronic Gaming Monthly

Battling against real opponents on Xbox Live is a blast, but teaming up with buddies for relay and rally races is where it's really at. [Dec 2003, p.228]

The single player experience has been beefed up, the number of cars to unlock in incredible, the online facet is simply some of the most fun you’ll have with a racer online and the overall price is incredibly cheap for what you get. At $19.99, there is no reason to pass this game by.
  8. Deal of the century? How about deal of the millennium! If you have even a passing interest in racing games or online competition you should put this one in the glove box, stat.

If you’ve already built up a garage full of cars in Sega GT 2002, you can import your saved game and be online instantly.
  10. The gameplay is well done and the game offers that certain feeling of accomplishment, as players must build, maintain, and race the car of their making. This feeling alone will keep many players coming back for more.

    8 / 7 / 8 / 8 - 31 silver [Vol 785]
  12. With each release this series keeps losing more and more ground. [Dec 2003, p.170]
  13. 75
The substantial, full game is included, with all the cool modes, as well as a host of new content...but the much-trumpeted online mode is a little too problematic to recommend without hesitation.

-New car dealerships/ More cars added
    -License test mini games
    -Weather effects
    -New tracks and reverse tracks
    -Online mode

All the other modes in the game are the same as Sega GT 2002.

The import mode didnt give you the cars and money from the garage from Sega Gt 2002 but instead you get 100,000 dollars.

Overall, its a good expansion pack for the original.

The simulation - the feel of the cars as you race them is nearly identical to Gran Turismo 3 - the single greatest racing sim ever created. Project Gotham 2 by contrast is awful with its "honking" noise every time you hit something, and the over all feel is way off from what should be expected from a racing sim. The only real shortcoming is the inability to have more than one single game save. Full Review »
