    Campaign mode is well done and exciting but falls in the same pit as many FPS before it like Golden Eye as in the enemies are not challenging just merely endless. However, just like Golden Eye this Halo is the best multiplayer experience out there. Nothing compares and if for nothing else the single player mode can be used for practice for the ingenious mulitplayer mode.

    This game was a fantastic design from microsoft. Everything about it was futuristic and I found it was brilliant set it in 2552, 32 years after an advanced race called the covenant starting to annihilate making due to religious reasons. The generated program Cortana was great too. One thing was missing though. Music in Multiplayer, but apart from that the game was stunning. A bizarre This game was a fantastic design from microsoft. The Flood were a great and ugly design too. Every level was unique in it's own way and I thought the monitor 343 Guilty Spark played a good part in Halo. Co-operative multiplayer was good too. Being able to respawn was a good addition to the game. Can't wait til Halo2. Apparently the Covenant make it to earth and the Urban War will be great. A bit short though. I thought a couple more levels would have completed it. And I also think they released it 3 months too early. A strong 10 for Halo, if not, more.… Expand

Perfect level designed made it superior to any other game ever made. Now I admit Starcraft RTS was superb but Microsoft has topped Blizzard with this thriller. But there is something I dont get. Even FIFA 2003 has been realeased as a "classics" game What is wrong with those who gave it below 10. It's either they've never played Halo before or they just gave it a random score.     It's a real shame this"Rate this game"doesn't go above 10 because it deserves better than perfect. Those who vote lower have obviously not played Halo before. A perfect example of Microsoft's fine work. Their perfect project deserves higher than 10. Every aspect is flawless-perfect. I don't see a glitch in the game.     I played this game for the first time last week and got hooked. I play in literally every spare second i have and cannot put the controller down. A must have great game.

Perfect Dark came a year and a half before and still managed to have awesome level dynamics, play control, AI, and it was scores deeper in term of weapon selection and multiplayer options (have you heard of bots???).     The only game I've played that could come to Halo's level is Frequency for PS2. The things I like about this game are the music, the graphics, and the storyline. I wish I could give it a 20.

    This game is just a sorry attempt at recreating Half-Life. You have a special life saving suit. There are little parasitic animals everywhere. And it involves the Marines. The only difference is Half-Life is a quadrillion times deeper and scarier and Gordon Freeman could kick the master chiefs ass any day.

    This is quite simply the best FPS ever made. The action is non-stop and totally intense. The multiplayer game mode has tons of great settings and features. The story, dialogue, and soundtrack are all very entertaining. Altogether a phenomenal game, and one of the few FPS's for XBox worth picking up.

    This come comes as close as i've ever seen to being perfect. With an original story line, impressive AI, amazing graphics, and in your face action Halo proves that it deserved the Game of the Year award and it is still the best game around. The only game that could possibly be better would be Halo 2...which is something i cant wait to be released.

    I would LOVE to see the 10 games that "Michael" considers to be classics for the Gamecube. None approach Halo in any arena, least of all the overhyped and overrated Metroid Prime or Zelda Windraper. Stinks to be jealous, eh?

Strong narratives have also been present in other FPS (Unreal). The only two things this game has to offer above its competitors is graphics and sound. The weapon selection is crap, the enemies become very repetitive (especially the Yawn... all of these things were done before. Why the hell didn't they just add bots to multiplayer to spruce it up a bit? Already the modes were lacking; that is just an inexcusable exclusion. Give it up guys- this is the only game approaching even slight acceptance on your pitiful system. And Gamecube has... what, 10 classic games??? Pass.… Expand

    I think that halo has raised the bar in video games! And all other game designers are desperately trying to jump it! The music is perfect, the graphics are crisp and the game play is magnificent! The only game that will surpass halo in the next few years will be halo 2!

You play as Master Chief who is the last remaining Spartan II super soldier. All the other Spartans were wiped out in an attack on a Covenant cruiser and a desperate attempt to keep planet Reach from Halo is by far the best first person shooter of all time. The game was planned for the pc but it turned out to be the single best launch game and still the best game to date for the Xbox.     Dis game is tight. Just buy one game for xbox and you'll be satisfied. Play the storymode with 2 players too. Save your men. Get in the scorpion. I can't wait till halo 2 comes out. I'v played it with my sister like ten times. We couln't stop playin until 3:00 in the mornin!

    A brilliant story, an epical soundtrack, adrelanine pumping gameplay. Doom 3, far cry and all those fps wannabees may pray that halo 2 won't be better then halo. If it will then there will be no fps that will stand against halo 2. They can't even beat halo.

    Super Game! Even though some gamplay is repetitive, the addictive level of this holy grail of games won't make you think twice about how great this is. It is superpurb. Nothing like playing against 15 other friends. As a matter of fact, that's exactly what I'm going to do right now. Buy it! You WILL NOT BE DISAPOINTED. I GUARRENTEE IT!

    Let's just say that i thought about it at work, on the train to and from work, at home, asleep and at meal-times.....if i could remember to eat......the only thing i could think about was: "How am i going to get out to the other checkpoint?...." Remember the first time you saw the T-Rex scene on Jurassic Park, Star Wars (1977), Indiana Jones, the first 20 min of Saving Private Ryan, the "I'll be back" scene in Terminator, the first time you played Castle Wolfenstein, Doom, Duke Nukem, etc?     This is one of the best games i have ever played. But perfect dark has more things like guns. Halo is better than perfect dark, actually much better. But when the creators of perfect dark, metriod and timeslpitters 2 worked together with the creators of halo, that would be the best shooter ever. MAYBE

    Brilliant. This game has it all: great story, graphics, sound. It has a fantastic mood, and will scare the crap out of you (The Flood anyone?). The only downside is the control. Don't get me wrong, the control is good for a console, but this game begs for a mouse and keyboard.

What she didn't say was whether we'd be on the island together. If we could be on a desert island, with some food, four TVs and four-player networked Halos, bring it on, baby!!     Truly amazing. Only very few glitches, and most of them are funny to explore. The graphics, gameplay, weapons, vehicles, AI, everything is so amazing in this game. You have an xbox-BUY. You don't-feel bad for yourself.

    I think that Halo is the best game ever. It is so awesome because you get to drive in vehicles you get a bunch of weapons and its just really fun to play and its got awesome graphics. Theres also different difficulties from easy to legendary. This game is so awesome. :-D

    Put it this way...one of my friends suggested I trade it in for something new and I almost wept at the thought. I will never part with it...never.

    If there was an eleven it would have it, in about 5 mins I was hooked, it took me 5 hours to get off it! 1 thing, on level 5 (assault on the control room) I am stuck on a room, with no way out! but i tink it is the best game ever i love it yeah ... whatever...

    It's probably the best shooter for any platform ever. AI is off the charts especially when it comes to the big suckers. Multiplayer has some downsides to it, but in general it's the best game I've ever played.

    The best game I have ever played (with the exception of CivIII) on a console. I don't give it a 10 because of slow down problems in a couple of places that hindered me esp. in the last stage. Where is the Sequel? Please let there be a sequel, please.

    It was so awesome, and I just can't stop playing it! I like the way you can have 2 players fight. It is the best game I have ever played!

    It was very fun, but i think it needs more levals and more guns. I have beaten the game. And it was really fun. When they make Halo 2, if they do, i think they should let you chose witch guy you would want to be like a hunter or another alien or you could be a human or the cyborg and they would all have differ missions.
