A weak game with some good features; namely, the combo system and the fact that it sells for only 20 bucks. Yep, 20 bucks. However, waves of meaningless enemies, stupid objectives and a very limited shelf life make it quite evil indeed.

GMR MagazineUnder normal circumstances, this would be just tedious, but combined with endless deadite enemies and little in the way of ammunition and health packs, it's a sermon on frustration. [July 2003, p.79]

If you are in the mood for a mindless action game that will provide you a short burst of fun, this title will fit the bill. It starts off fun and has enough of the Evil Dead feel to warrant its price tag.
-
Players are ultimately better off with "Hunter: The Reckoning" for a similar style of game that at least features multiplayer support, different characters, and experience-based attributes.
-
Xbox Nation MagazineThis is a fistful of something, all right. And it's not to be stepped in, taken internally, or flung at humans. [Aug 2003, p.81]

Gameplay? Boring. Get Item A to access Area B, then talk to this guy to find out where to pick up Item C. Youre being led around by the nose the entire time, and enemies just spawn over and over again... A slap in the face of Evil Dead fans everywhere. Absolute drek.
