    Really slow game. Absolutely no gameplay what so ever. Camera is abysmal. It's a walking simulator with no scary moments.

    Mediocre. I can see what they were trying to do, as the game is very “Silent Hill”-esque. But the story drags in places and makes very little sense by the end. You play as Marianne, who has the ability to travel into another dimension. She is given a mysterious message and ends up investigating an abandoned resort.     Mediocre. I can see what they were trying to do, as the game is very “Silent Hill”-esque. But the story drags in places and makes very little sense by the end.

    You play as Marianne, who has the ability to travel into another dimension. She is given a mysterious message and ends up investigating an abandoned resort. Other than being somewhat short, the story doesn't have a lot going for it. Things happen without much explanation and I was never able to connect with any of the characters.

    The game also uses a technology that allows you to see two dimensions at once using a split screen. While I read somewhere that this is groundbreaking technology, it just feels gimmicky and unnecessary. It does show you how silly the protagonist looks talking to the air in the real world. But they easily could have done without it.

    For the most part, the puzzles and levels are pretty bland. There is one level in the Red House toward the end that was done very well, but the rest are very forgettable.

    Slow running is also a real problem for me in video games. I see the reason for it in a horror-type game, but it was still irritating none the less.

    Overall, not a recommendation. Better to play the older Silent Hill or Resident Evil games instead.    … Expand

    Just chock how bad this game is. Gameplay not existing. Puzzle boring. Graphic ok. Story didn’t like it. Npc boring. 8hrs of boring game. If its the future of gamepass boring game like this yeah pss on this and don’t buy this waste of money get a Month gamepass if you want to try and cancel that game is not worth full price.

    « The Medium » est la nouvelle daube des faiseurs de daubes habituelles dans le genre horrifique à deux balles, à savoir les baltringues de chez la « Bloober Team » qui ont déjà commis les Layers of Fear, Blair Witch et Observer ! avec un tel palmerdès, inutile de dire qu’on s’attendait au pire et… qu’on a pas été déçu !

    Mais à dire vrai, la seule différence entre cette nouvelle daube    « The Medium » est la nouvelle daube des faiseurs de daubes habituelles dans le genre horrifique à deux balles, à savoir les baltringues de chez la « Bloober Team » qui ont déjà commis les Layers of Fear, Blair Witch et Observer ! avec un tel palmerdès, inutile de dire qu’on s’attendait au pire et… qu’on a pas été déçu !

    Mais à dire vrai, la seule différence entre cette nouvelle daube et les précédentes, c’est qu’elle est -enfin- jolie à regarder malgré une résolution « dynamique » qui tutoie les tréfonds de la génération d’avant et ce, sur la console la plus puissante du moment, la Series X ! et de surcroît, on reste limité à du 30 im/s… et puis c’est tout.

    Du 30 im/s dans un jeu à caméras fixes neuf fois sur dix et ce, dans le sous-genre Resident Debil ou Silent Debill, il fallait le faire ! d’ailleurs, c’est tellement programmé n’importe comment que même sur un PC de fou avec une 3080 au cul, impossible d’avoir un 60 im/s constant… Sur Series X, on notera aussi des temps de chargement assez choquants pour un jeu de cet acabit, plus scripté qu’elle vieille telenovela : 18 secondes au bas mot, non mais sans déconner…!

    Sinon, pour le reste, c’est une sorte de « silenthillerie » complètement foutraque à laquelle on n’entrave que dalle dont la jouabilité rigide est constamment et carrément à l’ouest, ce qui nous rappelle les heures les plus sombres des sous-merdes bien connues telles que les Resident Debileries ou les infâmes Silent Debilleries de jadis !

    Sans queue ni tête et très pénible, The Medium fait n’importe quoi sous le fallacieux prétexte horrifique, un prétexte qui sombre régulièrement dans le mauvais goût et qui nous gave à très grande vitesse ; alors, direction la poubelle avec tous les étrons de son genre !    … Expand

    Very disappointed. The game is a bad copy of other good kinds of game. The first 10 minutes are very good but after that it gets boring and slow. The one point is for the good story only.

    Great sound design. Rest is bull-crap. Doesn't look good on a 4k TV. Ray tracing isn't showcased properly. Won't recommend. Play Outlast if you want to play horror games.

    Un juego muy esperado y muy decepcionante. Se hace muy tedioso y aburrido, a pesar de ser muy corto. Nunca llega a enganchar del todo, porque los personajes no tienen ningun carisma.

    Empezó bien el juego pero llegó un momento que se buggeo y no me dejaba avanzar la historia, jugabilidad malisimas, rendimiento pésimo y gráficos de hace 2 generación, no lo recomiendo.

    Ambiance correct, 8h is like DLC, gameplay too old, and technicaly it's just a shame... 4k dynamique at 1440p range, sometimes 900p@30fps big drops of framerate.
    640p on séries s...(ram will be a real problem for both consoles during all the gen).

    Es una basura de juego los puzzles dan sueño y lo peor es que son su única jugabilidad, los sustos son simples screamers la historia es caca de perro no lo compren, pensaba que xbox se iba a redimir está generación pero sigue siendo el mismo lastre de todas las generaciones ojalá que los próximos juegos del ecosistema xbox mejoren.

    Chato demais. Só andar pra lá e pra cá. Diferente, por exemplo, de RE, que podemos usar uma arma. Não posso falar de otimização porque joguei no PC, mas, parece que esta com problemas no Xbox.
    Como jogo inicial dos novos SS e SX uma decepção.

    The gameplay has its ups (most puzzle or story scenes with the protagonist), and downs (some action scenes, some scenes with Thomas), but overall it's a well delivered story.
    The multiple points of view give a very unique combination of cinematic feeling and presence. There are sometimes 3    A game with the ambience and music of a Silent Hill, but actually playable? I was immediately sold.
    The gameplay has its ups (most puzzle or story scenes with the protagonist), and downs (some action scenes, some scenes with Thomas), but overall it's a well delivered story.
    The multiple points of view give a very unique combination of cinematic feeling and presence. There are sometimes 3 view ports on the scene (real world, parallel world, real world through a mirror) and it's really impressive. The RT reflections also give an understated but effective presence in the scenes. A real step up from Bloober, looking forward to their next game.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Habe es nach dem PC auf der Series X ausprobiert , es sieht schon recht schwach aus und hat Framedrops unter 30 die man merkt .
    Die Steuerung ist auch sehr rückständig , schlimmer als bei Resident Evil in den 90er.
    Der Sound ist sehr gut gemacht , aber hilft der lahmen Story auch nicht war nach 8std 30 Minuten fertig sowas langweiliges habe ich lang nicht mehr gespielt.
    Echt Schlecht dieses Spiel.

Не ожидал от игровой студии, которая должна ориентироваться на обычных игроков и то, чтобы дарить людям хорошие эмоции…что студия будет наказывать обычных людей за решения принятые правительством! Раз игровая студия решила вмешаться в политику, то и оценку она получит не за игру!Всегда считал, что игры вне политики! Не ожидал от игровой студии, которая должна ориентироваться на обычных игроков и то, чтобы дарить людям хорошие эмоции…что студия будет наказывать обычных людей за решения принятые правительством! Раз игровая студия решила вмешаться в политику, то и оценку она получит не за игру!

    5 hours long. Graphics are garbage. Gameplay is absolute trash, walk around a room simulator. Another big fat fail on xbox "exclusive" the most boring game I've seen to this date. You literally do nothing for 5 hours then that's it. Looks like it'll run on a PS2. Avoid

    The Medium tiene ese nombre debido a que es el medio de dos cosas, medio olor a queso rancio y medio a almejas podridas. Si buscas acción, este juego te va a decepcionar, el juego es pasillero a morir, no puedes matar enemigos como en el Silent Hill y es corto teniendo duración entre 8 y 9 horas y media. Si esperabas un Silent Hill, ni de cercas lo será este juego

    La idea era buena pero tuve que jugar 2 horas y mas para llegar a algo de gameplay real, es demasiado lento y la jugabilidad se siente como un juego de xbox 360, muy torpe y lento, mecanicas pesimas y puzzles que parecen para niños de 5 años, sin mencionar las fisicas cutres y el rendimiento tan pesimo

    La historia no esta mal, pero el gameplay es muy malo. supongo que por lo de los dos mundos no se puede jugar en la anterior generación, pero no aporta nada nuevo al genero.
    En pc (amd 5600 con geforce 3070) caídas de fps increíbles de estar jugando a 60 fps y caer a 4 fps que por momentos es injugable, esperando que saque algún parche que lo solucione.

    Enterrado sob a narrativa confusa e a jogabilidade mundana, há um bom jogo aqui, em algum lugar. Mas, na maior parte, The Medium é um jogo que estou muito feliz de deixar para trás e nunca mais pensar em. Para qualquer fã de horror, eu recomendo firmemente que você dê uma falta neste jogo

OVERHYPED, OVERRATED GAME. Can't pan camera, meaning movement is difficult. I tried 4 times to run from maw after releasing Richard's soul and then I realized it's not my fault that I am failing, ITS THE NOOB DEVELOPERS. NO WONDER THEY CANT MAKE AAA GAMES. When running, Marianne tends to aimlessly run coz of that auto camera panning. The noob device can't seriously expect me to press a button for which I have to line up perfectly with the hole in the wall,then get confused about whether or not I should move the light or open the gate using bolt cutter that I have to equip and press LT and RT 4 times before the chain breaks and then push a button again to open the gets by when she is nit running anymore - all in a very limited amount of time?The mission is so UNBALANCED and BIASED that I didn't even feel like playing anymore.     Sin combates, sin miedo, solo caminar por pasillos, resolver un puzzle y seguir por otro pasillo, lo bueno que el juego es corto, dos horas más de esto y lo hubiera dejado abandonado, lo vendieron como un silenth hill pero la verdad es que los tres screamers que salen en el juego por asomarte por la cerradura dan lástima, yo no pagaría por esto, que bueno que se juega gratis en gamepass.

    Tiene unas bajadas de fps muy grandes, con tirones y enganchones muy molestos. La historia no está mal, pero es que no puedes hacer nada en el juego, solo andar y andar.

    игра ужасна, сюжет убогий. Играть не интересно, скучно бродить и искать срамные записки, qte - это прошлый век, который уже давно всех бесит. Графон мыло. Не советую, игра отвратительна, заставил себя до пройти ее до конца!!

    It’s a complete mess, the Story is mediocre, and the dual screen gimmick only makes the game run poorly at 30 FPS and a lower resolution, it was 1 of the worst horror games I’ve ever played

    A disappointment. It’s patronising that you are forced to only walk. The animations are unfinished which is sad because the environmental art is lovely. The gimmick doesn’t salvage what is bad directorship.

    This game is very boring. You repeat completing the same kinds of tasks over and over again. Unfortunately the game also runs at a max frame rate of 30fps on the xbox series x.

    horrible game, outdated graphics outdated gameplay outdated camera, it is basically a walking simulator, no fear, no fright, no fighting and puzzles are tedious, poorly optimized game pathetic ray tracing, full of graphic errors flashing on the screen the game completely expendable , if it came out for Xbox 360 it would still be a terrible game.

    Despite clunky animations, repetitive gameplay and some technical issues with the Xbox Series X version, I completed The Medium twice. Its dual-reality design, art direction and brilliant soundtrack often made me stop to take in a view or relish the music. Its mature story and atmosphere reminiscent of Silent Hill helped a lot too.
