    This for me is the pinnacle of RPG design. An absolutely amazing game that transports you round the galaxy with missions that build on each other, are always engaging and in a world that is hugely fun to explore. Nobody has made a game with this much scope, scale and ambition before yet tied it into the deepest and most addictive RPG mechanics possible.

    Are there some flaws? Yes. Loading    This for me is the pinnacle of RPG design.     Are there some flaws? Yes. Loading is annoying. The inventory system could be better. However you have to view these in light of the wider package on offer. No game is ever going to be perfect. I can quite accept someone who finds the egregious loading means a point or two is deducted. It all depends on your mileage.

    But make no mistake. This is an RPG that redefines the genre. That makes you reevaluate games and their depth because few if any hit this mark. An absolute classic that will be played for years and years.    … Expand

    Sehr tolles Spiel. Seit dem Early Access habe ich es 30h gespielt und noch nie hat mich ein Spiel so sehr gefesselt wie Starfield. Für mich persönlich ist Starfield besser als Skyrim. Ich liebe es.

    An incredible adventure! Game of the year, for sure. I’m 20 hours in and just getting started - so many plot lines and interesting interactions. Will be playing this for a LONG time.

    Without any doubt one of the best games of the last years, Bethesda did an excelent job, giving us an incredible new franchise that mix the best of fallout and skyrim, all of this in a giant map, with a number of different biomes and planets that you cant imagine.

    um jogo excelente, gostei muito das mecânicas, exploração e jogabilidade, no inicio é meio parado mas conforme você joga, você se vê ainda mais fundo dentro do jogo, ótimos gráficos e efeito simples, uma obra de arte incompreendida pelas pessoas.

    This i a great game, but because of the bugs i cant give it a 10.
    It takes a little time to get started but when it dos i think it is a god story, with som fun game-play, and i think that the way load-screens a a part of the game os OK and it is understandable that it needs to have load-screens.

    Starfield is different from other Bethesda games, but if you get used to the unique gameplay loop, you will get lost in a vast, exciting universe for hours.

    Starfield's the game Xbox needed. And it delievered. It's a well crafted singleplayer Bethesda-RPG with alot to explore and discover and while the main story is pretty weak the side quest shine with great story lines.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Starfield is a delightful experience traveling through the galaxy in a classic Bethesda formula with a new twist .

    My first hour spent with this game after the starting missions I just spent time exploring planet's and finding location's known as structure's on your map they work like a classic Bethesda dungeon you work your way through defeat the boss and collect the box of loot at the end all whilst ,exploring ,collecting and hacking to find extra stuff.

    Graphically the game is impressive though it doesn't have modern techniques like ray tracing it's very impressive specially when you see the depth of the game and what it has to offer.

    On of the biggest features in the game I was most excited for was the ship building though I spent just a few hours stuck learning the controls and how it all works once I had learned it wow what you can build is up to you you can have any shape within reason and paint it with any colour.

    Story wise I haven't finished the story I'm enjoying it so far though some of the conversations get a little stale for me as I tend to skip conversations in most games as I'm impatient and love to stick straight into the gameplay.but the missions you get with the story so far are really fun and something I need to focus on after spending 2 days doing everything else. The side content is brilliant so far I have collected debts for gal bank (an in game banking corporation as you will learn are shady like most companies) I have joined the crimson raiders and made 2 enemies for life so far who swear they will bring an end to m!

    piracy needs work though freestar collective seem to keep bounties in you even if you wipe out every witness you come across ! End game for the first time adds new game plus where instead of most game where you keep your stuff and perks you only keep your perks you lose your ship , inventory,credits and bases but unlock new armours and ships up to 10 new game plus playthrough .

    With based if started building my base I would recommending having a good amount of max cargo space in your ship for this as you will be carrying alot of aluminum for most of the stuff you build . You can build your own bounty clearance boards and bounty boards, mannequins and weapon racks ,robots and gardens ,base defense and storage and more...

    The game runs at 30fps on my series x but don't let it put you off it's doesn't feel like 30 it's very smooth and gun play reacts very well with the limitations.

    The bad.

    Atm I don't have to many gripes but I will list them here including a bug that hurts higher level characters

    Digipicking (lockpicking) is horrible I don't mind lock picking and all Bethesda games but this it's just stressful and requires a bit of memory and patterns and with a bug that brakes high level mastery locks where you line it up enter it and old parts you have already unlocked lock them selfs again it's extremely broken on mastery locks and need a patch asap ! (I'm looking at you Todd! )

    Though planets are supposed to be boring as to has stated they could still do with a bit more variation that rocks and dirt with different colour variation more stuff to find on these planets and new dungeons would go amis .

    That's about it it wasnt a big break down of everything it has to offer like stealing and perks but it was a quick review there is to much in this game write a gigantic review that I would want to do i will leave you with a summary of my thoughts below .

    With starfield gigantic open world Bethesda RPG formula fits perfectly into the space setting fans of star trek or space nerd stuff in general will have an enjoyable exploration through the galaxy even with its bad points I can't help but give this a 10/10 score.

    Fabulous...The best of Bethesda combined.SSoSoundVisit Its big default in French is its totally botched lip-synch, despite quality dialogue and dubbing. Can't wait for a patch.

    An emense experience and sense of exploring through the galaxy, ship building is so fun and creative, completing quests and following throughout the storytelling is livid, fighting in different planets using various weapons with perks is unique

    Jogo incrível, verdadeiro RPG bethesda, sao vários jogos em 1, exploração, combates melee e com armas de fogo bem feitos, combates com nave, personalização da nave, ótima história e side quests, não tem como não ser 10/10.

    This is the best game I've ever played and I've been in gaming for over 3 decades, finishing pretty much every important game there is. All those negatives reviews are, as everyone knows, playstation fans review bombing the game. I hope Metacritic addresses these issues since those are people who do not own and never played the game.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I’ve put about 60 hours into this game so far and and I’m just amazed at how deep this game is. This is by far the most epic game I think I’ve ever played. From the endless amount of missions and story lines to the sometimes jaw dropping visuals and music, this game pulls you in and never lets you go. Choices you make have meaningful consequences in the story and add a level of mindful attachment to those choices that you truly become embedded in the world. It’s a shame that there will be so many good games coming out soon because they will literally get no attention from me for a very long time. I’m in Starfield’s world now and I don’t think I’ll be wanting to leave it any time soon. As of right now, this may be the most engrossing game I’ve ever played and although Bethesda games may not be for everyone, if you’re not at minimum trying this game you’re doing yourself a huge disservice.… Expand

Also, they really need to do a better job of mapping locations. Like I wanna know where certain vendors are in certain worlds, and I don't just wanna blindly look around until I stumble upon them. Like in GTA V they have a map key that shows you where to go buy weapons, where to change outfits, etc. And if they had the in this game, I would give it a perfect 10. But do far, I'm loving the missions, the variety of things to do and see, and all that stuff. But I really feel like the game is unfinished and they could update it...… Expand

    If you like Bethesda games, you're probably going to like this one. It's disappointing with space and loading screens. Exploration is decent if you get a good planet. The main quest isn't anything special; it's boring at the beginning, but it gets better after like 10 hours, which it shouldn't take that long. Though the 30fps does hurt your eyes at first, if you're used to playing everything in 60 or even 120, these 30fps somehow feel smooth. You won't really notice after some time. It's a good game, definitely not a 10/10, maybe after mods.… Expand

    Starfield is a game that allows you to play it many ways, but not all of those ways can be fun to each individual trying the game. If you engage with all of the systems and enjoy them, then this game lacks many of the issues that others are brining to the table. I also believe this game was inherently designed in a way that has lead people to play it how they think they should, but maybe shouldnt, which has lead to a less exciting experience. Were Fallout 4 seemed to mash all of the factions into the main quest to make you engage with all of them, Starfield recognizes the issues in doing that. You will not run into other the factions besides constellation for more than a moment and they hardly tie into the main quest. Fallout 4 suffered from tying all of the factions into the main quest. It caused the game to feel pretty empty of meaningful stories because there was not a boost in the number of side quests available to make up for the missing quest lines. This game is almost the opposite. Most of what you do for the main story amounts to going to planets and walking to where you'll find an artifact or temple, scanning the planet, mining resources, and exploring the few locals you may find on the planet surface. It felt, to me, as if Bethesda understands how much people put off their main quests. What I mean is, it feels like the main quest is actually a padding to story you create yourself. Maybe a better wording would be, they intend for you to make your own story. You'll get into to whatever adventures you get into this playthrough, and each arch you take your character through is as important as the main quest line because it's all your story. I think your supposed to get sidetracked and if just rush the main quest (like many reviewers are sadly forced to do with such a large game when time constraints are involved) you may have a worse experience because I don't believe it's the intended way to play. But, this is Bethesda, so the try to let you do it anyway if you'd like. That brings me to the choices. This game is much more in line with fallout 3 or, dare I say, New Vegas when it comes to choices. At times it even reminded me of some of my favorite immersive Sims (Nods to Arkane) in its design. Almost every non radiant or main story quest I've done so far has had multiple ways to achieve your goal or had sides to take in some way. Many of the main story missions are about go and collecting an artifact or just finding a temple so when people say there isn't as much choice in the main quest, it isn't necessarily because they aren't letting you make a choice. Its because the missions are basically fetch quests and what decision are you gonna make there? When the story calls for player choices, I've seen it there. I could go on forever, but it's safe to say that if you're a fan of what Bethesda does, you'll get your money's worth out of this game. If you're not a fan of what Bethesda does, why waste your time here looking at reviews?

    I'll cap it off by stating clearly, THIS GAME ISN'T PERFECT. It has its flaws and it has its bugs, but this may be the slickest, high quality package Bethesda has ever released when it comes to technical reliance, systems design, and art direction. Absolutely loving it and will be playing this for many years.    … Expand

    But it needs work from Bethesda. Bethesda stop focusing on monetization and dlc, and update the game with a FREE UPDATE. Increasing performance and addressing issues many players have. If modders can already make the game run 20 fps faster by modifying texture quality then so can they! If they do not address this, starfield modding will    Its a relatively good game. Definitely a 8/10.

    Are you a Bethesda fan? Do you find yourself opening your wallet to buy Skyrim AGAIN when they released the Anniversary Edition? Do yourself a huge favor and give Starfield a chance. Bethesda delivers improvements over their previous titles and builds on top. If you are looking for a space sim or top notch first person shooter, and don’t particularly like solo player role playing games I’dAre you a Bethesda fan? Do you find yourself opening your wallet to buy Skyrim AGAIN when they released the Anniversary Edition? Do yourself a huge favor and give Starfield a chance. Bethesda delivers improvements over their previous titles and builds on top. If you are looking for a space sim or top notch first person shooter, and don’t particularly like solo player role playing games I’d maybe wait to buy Starfield. Check it out on game pass if you’re curious.

    But if you love RPGs and Bethesda, you will love Starfield. Excuse me while I go search the stars for resources to build my outpost. This game is easily up there with Skyrim for me and I cant wait for DLCs and mods.     What can I say, I loved Skyrim (played it twice) I loved Fallout 4, didn't even finish it. I have an affinity to Bethesda's choose-your-own adventure, with a bit of a clunky grind on top of it.

    Throw in some exploring, some crafting, mining, collecting, fighting, zapping, pursuading... I'm hooked.     Awesome game! Nice graphs, exploration universe, history and more! I'm lost in infinity planets and systems, side quests like Skyrim. I love games created by Bethesda because the nice universes created by them. I'm still playing Starfield for long time.

Now it has its flaws, just to name a few like loading screens, no hdr/washed out blacks on pc, exploring worlds will start to feel empty and content gets recycled.     The game looks absolutely fantastic and the loading screens, being really quick, don't bother me one bit.     I know Bethesda releases always get a lot of love and hate. It's essentially a better-looking (in my opinion), story-focused No Man's Sky. But like 2023 NMS not release year NMS lol. I've been having a blast. Yes there are glitches/bugs and I have heard it does not do well on anything that isn't a super high-end PC but I'm on Xbox SX so *shrug emoji*. Yes there are glitches/bugs and I have heard it does not do well on anything that isn't a super high-end PC but I'm on Xbox SX so *shrug emoji*. I will address some of the bad things/things I don't like first: I really like the ability to fly in low orbit/a few hundred feet off the ground in NMS and I would have liked to see that in Starfield, to some degree or another. It seems like there aren't a *crazy* amount of guns to choose from, I would have liked more options, though it's not like there are none. There seems to be a stark difference between systems w/ cool stuff going on in them and ones that have nothing going on. I realize this is probably more "realistic" but you really feel the boring bland systems when you compare them to the fun systems. Travel on the ground is kind of tedious. And then there are the varying glitches/bugs, clipping, dialogue bugs, outpost issues. They're annoying but not game breaking.

    Now for the good! Game looks better than I expected. The individual items are all really well rendered and detailed. Very nice. Ship customization is mostly awesome and you can do some cool stuff with it. It seems like there is A LOT to do. I went off to some system for a main side mission and got distracted by a lil side-side mission X'D. I spent the next 2 hours helping out some settlers get rid of some spacers. It was dope. Idk man, I love space games for the most part. If I had played another 100 hours maybe my review would be worse or better, who knows. All I know is I'm having a lot of fun and I look forward to playing more and idk does the game merit you paying 70 bucks? If you like bethesda games, I think it's worth it.     I've seen plenty of critique around loading screens, and a lack of continuity when taking off and landing, or flying from A to Z which is why I wanted to write this review.

    Personally I think it looks great. You can view the take off and landing of your ship, and view the entering and exiting of light speed. You can walk right up to your ship to enter it. It will load for about 2 seconds, and you can then walk up to the pilot seat at and sit down to initiate take off.

    To me, all that's pretty cool and immersive

    The loading screens are so brief as to almost not exist, so you'd also almost wonder if they couldn't pre load as you approach the ship so you could climb in and enter.

    Either way I'm loving this so far and likely to sink hundred of hours in. It's even taken me away from BG3 for a few nights :p Highly recommended!    … Expand

Negative points: - Load Manys (the game was not placed on an entire scaled map, they placed several submaps, which generates load for everything). - Exploration raza/null (the previous point influenced this... another thing is that because it is divided into sub maps, you land on a planet does not allow you to go to another point on that same planet, being necessary to leave and enter it. .You only go to battle, otherwise just fast travel). - Faces of the characters (totally without fact, out of line with the narration) - Missing a pt br dubbing - bad AI (same level as cyberpunk) - Missing a 60 fps mode - Graphic quality of the main city, new atlantic, very weak (the vegetation graphic is distorted from the rest of the game, looking very artificial). - Main Quest is average (doesn't make you want to do it, because side quests are much more attractive).

    I enjoyed the game very much. I actually didn't have any bugs. Or at least I didn't notice them.
    The story is okay, but could be more exciting, especially at the beginning.

    The immersion is destroyed by short loading screens, which NoManSky (for example) does better.

    On the other hand, I find the gun play very pleasant and fun.
    Overall I had fun and this is the most important (for me)

    Aircraft modification- the design is poor. The navigation to get to parts on the ship is frustrating. you have to float up, down, left, right/ but they are fluid in doing so when you do.
    Worlds with creatures could have more> I’ve walked whole planets and could go over 5-10 minutes without seeing more life.

    The Good-
    The environment just looks amazing with so much detail everywhere you go.
    Space battles are so much fun ONCE you figure it out. You need to upgrade your ship and other skills to make it enjoyable.
    The side quests. I can’t say never. But writing this now, I cannot think of another game that has side quests so in-depth and connect with each other, that would just want to see what happens next. They feel like the main story, but completely separate. They are very well put together and really make you invested in and story and routing for one person or another. So good.
    That ships just look cool, and once you can buy better ones it's that much more fun.
    The selection of guns. There are so many different ones, you really get to figure out what works for you and what your preference is
    I know people want to explore space. But I am glad you can quick travel. There is so much to do on so many different planets in different solar systems. If you didn’t quick travel, you would be playing this game for 50 years to finish everything.
    The variant missions. So many different ones you, or I at least, am still excited to try the next one.
    CONCLUSION-
    First, I was never hyped about it. I didn’t like no man's sky so I didn’t know if I would even like this. So with no expectations going in - I have now been addicted to it.
    I would say at least give it a chance. 10-20 hours at least doing and trying different things
    Don’t just do the main mission do some side ones. Join a vanguard and do their mission.
    You’ll feel invested and want to keep going. I did anyway.    … Expand

    Starfield’s open-world is jaw-dropping. I have throughly enjoyed every second that I’ve played. Would highly recommend especially if you enjoyed Fallout or Skyrim.

    1 of the best games I've ever played.

    I've been playing video games since the OG Sega & NES, & I currently use a Switch, series X & PS5.
    TotK was the first game I've gotten really excited about playing in a lot of years, but Starfield is another level above that. Bethesda really did something special here! Real shame people can't see that & instead are review bombing it.

Doors and ladders should've been separate modules because while there's a trick with ladders it seems door placement is entirely random. Interior decoration should also be allowed using the games apartment/outpost build system.

    Additionally while I found myself not needing a map, it seems a lot of people have issue with navigation. It's a simple thing, and there should be proper maps especially for cities.

    I don't think I've really done any procedurally generated stuff; the game is packed to brim with curated content that I believe it's best seen as a bonus. Imagine if the Skyrim map kept going outside of its boundary but it was all snow with the occasional ruin or cave, that's basically how it works.

    Visually the game is stunning for the most part. I love the characters. hair and the landscapes of some planets.
    Unfortunately water, or perhaps more specifically how light interacts with water, looks bad. Really bad, like stepping backwards in time to 360/PS3 era.
    Some biomes do too but I also suspect this is due to light/reflective limitations rather than textures, because it's typically ice biomes that look the worst.

    Music. The music and sound design in this game is phenomenal, definitely one to play with headphones.

    I was shocked at how few bugs I've encountered for a game of this scale and I found the story, characters and world to be far more engaging than the majority of Skyrim or Fallout.

    Will you like this game?
    Well to be clear I am not a fan of RPGs generally, Baldurs Gate and Final Fantasy are my idea of torture.
    This is an RPG. An action one. If you've ever played Skyrim or Fallout and you enjoyed those games then there's a very good chance you will enjoy this.

    You want a bethesda game in space, you got it. This is by far the best experience from Bethesda Game Studio. I cant stop playing, when im not, cant stop thinking about it.
    Starfield have some defaults such no vehicle, but you will forget about them soon enougn.

As a lifetime PlayStation fan, I have to say that this game finally made me give in and sell my PlayStation so I could afford to buy an Xbox Series X. To all the other PlayStation fan boys that hyped this game up with your free promo everyday for the last few weeks, thank you. Thanks to all of you, I could not stop thinking about how great this game looked and I am so happy with my decision to start playing a console with a WAY better catalog of games.     Exciting content, plays very smoothly on Xbox. Can get lost in the side quests. Should not matter if not playable on other consoles as Playstration and Ninetendo both have their own games exclusive to them.

    One of the best games of this generation, its a bit basic but extremely fun nonetheless. with 30 hours put into it, i have seen 1 minor clipping glitch and no major frame drops.

    Everything I wanted in a space game. Missions to do, side quest and main story quests. Ability to build my own ship, set up outpost. Play how I want, be a space pirate or cowboy.

    Starfield is a true RPG at it’s heart. With exciting *quests*, exploration, gunplay, looting systems, and clases; they all make together a masterful experience delivered by Bethesda. For some, the game has it’s problems, and there are places for improvement as many games. But really “most problems” are coming to the expense of expectation. Starfield in size and scope with only oneStarfield is a true RPG at it’s heart. With exciting *quests*, exploration, gunplay, looting systems, and clases; they all make together a masterful experience delivered by Bethesda. For some, the game has it’s problems, and there are places for improvement as many games. But really “most problems” are coming to the expense of expectation. Starfield in size and scope with only one world/planet will make your last game feel like a kids play ground. You will go and feel beyond the stars. Stop looking for reviews, and go play it.… Expand

    It is true that you'll find a good number of barren wastelands with little to do other than extracting some resources and take off to more interesting places, but again it really depends on how you want to play. There's so much to do, so many systems and abilities to explore, missions to complete, spaceships to loot, and species to catalogue, that I honestly don't think there's anybody who thinks that exploring every square meter of this universe is the better way to enjoy Starfield.

    While it has weak spots and doesn’t push many boundaries, Starfield is still an excellent RPG experience. Bethesda has once again mastered the things it built its reputation on – world building, quest design, and deep customization. However, it’s found new things to excel at too, with exciting combat and a novel implementation of New Game Plus.
