    "Scorn" is a visually excellent game, but very lacking in substance. It consists of a few simple macro-puzzles interspersed with deserted corridors, and not much else.
    After the initial awe of its stunning environments during the first hour, boredom sets in. There's nothing to keep one's interest alive, and the infrequent puzzles make the progression sluggish and eliminate the desire for    "Scorn" is a visually excellent game, but very lacking in substance.     El juego es algo confuso y eso me gusta. Ya que se acerca mucho a la realidad. De despertar en un lugar y no saber que pasa. El juego no te da información de nada. Pero el trasfondo es poderoso.

    While there is an overarching objective and story to Scorn, you’re never told the point of your journey. Much like not knowing how to progress right away, the story is one that is best figured out by analyzing the environment around you. Some clues like giant murals lend you an idea of what may have happened to others in the world of Scorn but you’re never given any confirmation. While I can guarantee that no one is going to be talking about the story of Scorn they will be talking about what it does best. It masters the feeling of being alone and lost but keeps you intrigued as you never know what will be around the next corner. The desire to find answers to the puzzles and the mystery of Scorn is a powerful driving force. For some, the lack of purpose from both the environment and the story can make it difficult to get into Scorn but I recommend playing until you’ve solved your first puzzle as the nature of the game will begin to make sense. Enter a room, identify what you can interact with, and try not to be too repulsed in the process.

    The puzzles were very satisfying and if you’re looking for a game that doesn’t hold your hand then I cannot recommend Scorn enough. In an age of gaming where some experiences can have too much information and be cluttered with menus, Scorn is a perfect example of less is more. Let the player figure out what to do next but give them just enough information that they’re not completely lost, just mostly lost. We’ve seen other games like Tunic make use of limited information and I would personally love to see other titles adopt a similar philosophy.

    If it wasn’t obvious, I highly recommend checking out Scorn if you’re a fan of survival horror or puzzles and want something that doesn’t overstay its welcome.    … Expand

    I’m not a huge fan of puzzle games but this one keeps me interested with its dark mysterious world. I think this game really nailed it with the survival parts it feels like I’m always down to my last bar after every act and low on ammo. The way the world moves and how the puzzles and reloading your weapons look are amazing to me.     I still decided to quit the game. Took a total of 5 hours 33 minutes and collected all achievements except one.

    The game had made a really strong first impression, acceptable puzzles and an incredibly well staged setting. Disgust comes up here from time to time and the sci-fi horror touch had a cool look. Unfortunately, it fell far short when it came to the horror aspect, here it    I still decided to quit the game. Took a total of 5 hours 33 minutes and collected all achievements except one.

    The game had made a really strong first impression, acceptable puzzles and an incredibly well staged setting. Disgust comes up here from time to time and the sci-fi horror touch had a cool look. Unfortunately, it fell far short when it came to the horror aspect, here it concentrated more on the disgusting moment.

    2 acts have passed and the game has been playing in a good flow, but then comes act 3 (or was it 4, I can't remember) where more and more enemy "gameplay" comes into play. This is where I took my break because I just didn't enjoy running past the opponents. Weapon handling is so sluggish and imprecise, enemies deal immense damage and hit far better, I didn't need that aspect of the game. He even steered the game in a more negative direction at times, even for me.

    It had good staging, looks fantastic in places and some of the puzzles were okay, but they would have preferred to leave out the combat gameplay. All in all, you can take the game with you in its brevity and play it via the game pass, but horror fans in particular will be disappointed here and the gameplay can get on your nerves at times. It tells a bizarre and painful story, which is also rather confused.

    Magnífico! No apto para quienes buscan juegos con hub, visuales y guía durante el desarrollo. Es sublime, la historia intrigante, visualmente es grandilocuente y digno de la generación actual, la música y efectos de sonido impresionantes. Es totalmente envolvente y altamente recomendado. Una joya en Xbox.

    Scorn is easily one of, if not the best-looking game I've ever played. I finished the whole game with no technical issues whatsoever and enjoyed it quite a bit. I only have a few complaints. It didn't have enough enemy types, it needed a better sense of direction, it doesn't have great replay value, and it was a bit short. I finished it after 7 hours.

    I also would have liked more focus    Scorn is easily one of, if not the best-looking game I've ever played.     At the end of the day I recommend it, but do keep in mind it's very slow-paced and some of the puzzles are surprisingly difficult. It's not for everyone. I'd maybe wait for the price to drop to at least $30 or play on Game Pass.    … Expand

    I really enjoyed Scorn and would recommend playing through it. The game is visually stunning; the setting and unique art style of really bring the alien world to life. Every single gory detail and animation is a pleasure to experience. The gameplay is pretty standard fare but the whole game is a wonderful experience.

    Scorn is certainly a interesting game filled with numerous puzzles and disgusting scenes and it doesn't help to not look away with how great the graphics are.

Kudos to the devs for creating what feels like an old school 90s PC game - wherein it doesn't hold your hand at all and the objectives and missions unravel at a much slower pace.

    We can save only the graphics and atmosphere. Excellent on that. Unique!! The rest is just a chain of boring and uninspired puzzles. Without the great graphics, this game should not have more than a 1.

    Allot of gamers are just way too mainstream, with no sense of art in any way. Fifa X, CoD X, Ubisoft X, ShootLootLevel, RunGun No. X all the same, all the time. And then there are Indi-Diamonds like Scorn, yes.

    Don't waste your time if you don't understand those kind of things - nobody's sad about it, play XY No. X forever. Art is not the stuff that's present in your life, but please: Don't rate something you certainly don't understand...    … Expand

    Total disappointment and probably the most disappointing game in the past 2 years. Graphics don’t look good , story well there is no story , o dialogue , nothing but puzzles. The only thing it did right was the Alien movies atmosphere

    Such a unique masterpiece!

    As I see that people don't understand this game because devs couldn't introduce game properly. Most of trailers have a combat but actually game doesn't need a combat. Puzzle sequences are boring.
    H.r. giger-ish design style is 10/10.

    It's not for everyone.

However some enemies move quickly, and trying to defend yourself with this awful weapon, leads to many frustrating deaths. This does not improve with the next weapon you get.....nor the ammo required for it. Finding the ammo is far too infrequent and just results in you blindingly running from enemies because you have no ammo to fight back. The healing process is also awkward and just makes combat even more annoying than it already is. You have some weird sort of spider that you plug into a machine. This in turn then drains the machine of blood and fills up small sacs on the spider. You then pinch one into your arm to heal one bar. But you have to hold the button and when you're hit, it resets the action. Just a pain.

    Then come the puzzles. The first one is so obtuse and unnecessarily difficult, that it would come as no surprise if you decide to abandon the game right there. It is a puzzle that is two clever for its own good. But the worst culprit is the checkpoint system. It is an absolute joke. You can be set back nearly an hour because of a clumsy death and the lack of constant checkpoints. It's frustrating because Scorn has the elements in place to make a fantastic game.....it just doesn't have know how to utilise them.    … Expand

    The soundtrack and sound effects are atmospheric and haunting. Perfect for keeping you on the edge.

    In regards of gameplay, it's a puzzle based exploration game. The main draw of the game is exploring the environment and the puzzles are just a means to an end.

    The combat is its weakest element but it's mostly skippable and the encounters are sparse.

    EBB Software was clearly aware of their strengths and weaknesses. They actively chose to highlight their strengths i.e. the visuals whilst keeping the combat to a minimum. The combat exists just enough to separate itself from the run in the mill walking simulators.

    In my playthrough there was one bug right before the ending that clipped me off the level and no matter how much I restarted the game, it'd spawn me in the same place.

    Sadly that brings me to another negative aspect of the game, the lack of frequent auto-saving or checkpoints.

    I had to reload my last auto-save from 2 hours ago and replay the entire final chapter. Luckily this time I was done sightseeing and rushed to the objective and finished the final chapter in under an hour.

    Scorn is a haunting and immersive experience that wears its inspirations on its sleeve but due to flawed combat, lack of dialogue and minimalistic storytelling it is certainly not for everyone.    … Expand

Progression is mostly tied to solving environmental puzzles. Outside of somewhat clunky shooting mechanics the only other real complaint i have is how Scorn handles save-states: lack of ability to manual save the game, no clear indication of auto-save occurring and small amount of save points overall.

    The main draw of Scorn are the puzzles, its dense atmosphere, brilliant art design which is heavily inspired by works of artists H. R. Giger and Zdzisław Beksiński and environmental storytelling whit all the underlining themes that it encapsulates. Typical soundtrack is replaced by a subdued ambient score. Outside of few music cues, in key moments, you may even, at points, dismiss the score as background noise if your not into dark ambient music akin to Lustmord, who was unsurprisingly also involved in this project.

    This is certainly not a title for everyone but puzzle and horror fans should definitely give this game a chance. If your intrigued by the visuals and don't mind trying something different Scorn is worth playing even just to soak up the atmosphere.    … Expand

    Now for the bad. The combat is brutal and unforgiving, and most people will find it bad mechanically. It feels like something from the PS1 era. The save system is also terrible, as the player has no control over it, and instead has to rely on a system of confusing checkpoints. Pro-tip: never reload your game manually or you could end up losing over an hour of progress.
    All of this I'm sure is intentional to provide a intense survival horror experience that matches the incredible visual graphics of the game, and it more or less did work for me. It reminded me of Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, being a harrowing journey with cutting edge graphics.

    My favorite thing about the game being that it has no dialogue, also hurts it because nothing is explained. This is bad when it comes to certain goofy unintuitive mechanics like healing or loading your weapon with ammo. I went through an entire act not knowing why my gun wouldn't fire(it has to be loaded first).    … Expand

    Full disclosure; I have not finished the game. I won't finish the game. But I can safely say that I hate almost everything about this game. I would say I was hopeful after about 30 minutes. I liked what I was seeing, and thought there was potential there. But I am now 4-5 hours in and the last 3-4 hours have been a completely unenjoyable slog. If this is a game you enjoy, cool, I'm gladFull disclosure; I have not finished the game. I won't finish the game. But I can safely say that I hate almost everything about this game. I would say I was hopeful after about 30 minutes. I liked what I was seeing, and thought there was potential there. So in reality this game is under 5 hours. Are you freaking kidding me? The greedy developers are asking $40 for this incredibly short game. The physics are beyond horrible.     There is no multiplayer. So once you beat the campaign, there is literally not a reason to play this game again. Charging $40 for a game with no replay value is cash grab. Sure it's on Xbox Game Pass, but what good is any of that when that service is full of low quality indie trash? I don't recommend this boring game at all.

They are lurking into my account and randomly removed about 5 of my past reviews, including this one. What exactly is their problem? I don't care if the game is RDR2, FIFA, TLOU2, Elden Ring, Cyberpunk, Mario or whatever. A 0-10 is a valid score for all these games. You want to know why? Because it's called an opinion. How dare I have a mind of my own. Do you just want me to think like everybody else?     Horror quality of this game can compare to Resident Evil 7, also the pods, virus and slimy stuff in Scorn along walls and areas is almost on par with how Resident Evil 7 did the background of virus

    Не то что бы я ждал scorn, но интерес у меня был. Как же его, блять, растоптали.
    Для начала о хорошем: визуал. Все видели, все сказали, игра выглядит сногсшибательно. Первые минут 20 ты оторваться от созерцания не можешь. Жаль, что после этого игра продолжается.
    Все интерактивные объекты попервой нужно искать банальным тыканьем в углы, так как они никак не выделяются на фоне остальной разбросанной по уровню параши. Но вот вы разобрались что можно нажимать, даже решили первую головоломку и перешли в новую комнату. И тут начинается самое веселое. Ты начинаешь понимать, что все локации (кроме финальной) выглядят идентично и отличаются лишь тем, висят ли по коридорам кишки из жополицых монстров. Тут же вы получаете своё первое оружие - непонятный дилдо-пылесос с дистанцией атаки 2 см, объемом магазина 2 выстрела и перезарядкой 2 минуты. И вот этой машиной смерти вам нужно будет орудовать вплоть до половины игры. Матюков не хватит, чтобы описать, как же неудобна эта хуйня. Пистолет и дробовик немного спасают ситуацию, но чтобы их перезарядить или сменить друг на друга, также потребуется стальная выдержка. А сами враги - ну это пиздец какой-то. Просто какие-то анусы на ножках, которые с автонаводкой плюют в вас шмегмой. В итоге, цикл битвы с ними выглядит так: вы делаете выстрел, убегаете как можно дальше от врага (параллельно молитесь, чтобы автонаводка не сработала), перезаряжаетесь, подбегаете, делаете выстрел и по новой.
    И вот так до конца игры: вы ходите по однообразным, заебавшим вас локациям, "сражаетесь" с заебавшими вас глистами, решаете заебывающие "головоломки" (коих на игру три штуки).
    Забыл написать про сюжет (ну собственно как и разработчики). При прохождении, хуй вы что поймете. Ни диалогов, ни записок, ни "environmental storytelling". Вспомнить Journey, там тоже никто тебе ничего не говорит, но ты все равно понимаешь основные вещи, необходимые для удержания внимания. В scorn же, особый подход к истории. Чтобы её узнать будьте добры купить deluxe версию, где будет артбук на 200 страниц и вот в нем то все расписано.    … Expand

    Scorn is one of those games that rarely see, but you always wish for. Beautiful, environments with twisted freaks to feast your eyes upon. It's a game that you wish would never end, and allow you to continuously explore more of the world to see what other freakish inhabitants can be seen. But sadly, the game was a but too short, and ended too early. A beautiful game, and experience nevertheless.

    Overall? Amazin' game, it feels it was made for me, I do have a new big favorite now, and I just wish I could forget it all so I could experience everythin' all over again!

    10/10 no question.

    This game was something that turned out nothing as I expected from the trailers that I watched over the past two years. I played this game for about 2 hours, before uninstalling it. I became very frustrated that if I was to continue that I would have to look up the solution to continue the game. I tried and I threw in the towel and threw out the game. It was a huge disappointment.

    It's a unique experience: a trip in the guts of an alien planet, framed with flesh and populated by creatures out of nightmares. The sound design stands out for giving the tone that makes the experience more immersive and horrifying. I waited for many years for this game and he gave me everything I expected.

    SCORN. 4K, 60 FPS, "free' on game pass. Beautiful graphics and sound. I beat the game in 12 hours, with no guide and enjoying every moment (including the maze like levels).
    It is not a shooter, it does have a combat system that is functional and good for the game, as it keeps you unease the whole time.

    The game is a graphic story in general, with touches of survival horror mixed with puzzles, at times walks predominate to introduce you to the story and its world, and far from being boring, you get into it, its setting, sound and graphics are spectacular, the challenge is moderate, and honestly I have not seen anything negative, I liked it a lot, its visual section is disgustingly beautiful!.

    Me encanto el juego, no te ayuda en nada para resolver el misterio, es prácticamente como si uno mismo aparece en ese lugar sin tener la menor idea de nada y tiene que empezar a indagar todo y por fallo y error aprender a usar las herramientas.     A true work of Art, not a great game, but very atmospheric and beautiful.
    I will never forget when I first experienced Alien and this game gave such similar feelings of witnessing a truly alien world/environment that for that alone it is more than worth it!

    Puzzles are good graphics are some of the best that i have seen, action is sparse, that being said I knew what this game was before I started. Too bad some of the professionals didn't when they reviewed this game.

    I remembered back in 2014 when this game was announced. All the way from the first ever trailer to when it was suppose to be 2 parts. This game absolutely lives up to the hype and wait. The art design which is without question its biggest selling points is flawless and the developers should be proud. The game itself I had a great time with. Is this a shooter? The puzzles were anywhere from easy to mind blowing hard. I had a hard time on the first puzzle and 2 near the very end which involved a unlocking mechanism that involved twisting to make these lights glow up around the puzzle area. The story for what it is, is there. I think you need to piece it together more than anything and I loved doing that. I really enjoyed this bravo! Can't wait for their next project.… Expand

    scorn is not for everyone, the puzzles are relaxed, you can play this easy game in 4 hours, it does not contain anything innovative but if there is something to highlight it is the great atmosphere and visual art, it is a game that you can play to relax for a while when you are tired of the conventional

    Gorgeous and weird and creative and creepy as heck. Maddeningly slow at times, but I think that’s part of the point. Not for everyone, but definitely cool and weird.

    Si quieres probar un juego diferente, con una ambientación excelente, este juego te va sorprender. No es el tipico Shooter al que se esta acostumbrado. Realmente me sorprendio toda la simbologia que se le da en cada uno de los actos del videojuego.

    L'ambiance sonore est excellente et colle parfaitement à la DA splendide. Techniquement c'est propre, beau, fluide. On est pas loin d'un jeu next gen graphiquement même si on est dans un jeu couloir et donc pas gourmand.
    Le game design n'a rien d'exceptionnel mais on attend pas un truc de fou pour un puzzle game vu fps. Par contre le level design est très très bien travailler et réfléchit.
    Le jeu est cours environ 6h, 6h32 pour ma part, mais j'ai prit du temps à apprécier et admirer les décors qui sont splendide et certains endroits sont de vrais tableaux.
    Très impressionné que se soit un studio indé qui est réussi à sortir un tel jeu et surtout après que le jeu soit mit de coté il y a quelques années suite à un financement pas suffisant.
    En résumé un jeu qui plaira ou non mais qui vas ravir les fans du genre puzzle game ou ambiance ou contemplatif ou les nostalgiques d'une époque où les jeux ne vous prenez pas par la main.    … Expand

    Me encanta su estilo de tipo mecánico y orgánico que le da una esencua única. Los puzzles son algo complicados tomando en cuenta que no tienes ninguna referencia más que andar caminando a ver con qué puedes interactuar. Ya conforme vas explorando vas agarrando ritmo.
    En definitiva es un buen juego de terror inmersivo, cumple totalmente el propósito.

    O jogo definitivamente é bom, a estética dele é única (inspirada no Hans Rudolf Giger), os puzzle são difíceis e passam uma sensação gratificante depois de solucionar eles, os gráficos estão lindos e sua história é enigmática com cada pessoa tendo entendido uma coisa. O seu maior problema é seu combate, o combate de scorn é simplesmente injusto e com poucas variedades de inimigos.

    Visualmente inquietante, con un gameplay que te recuerda que nunca eres lo suficientemente rápido y que la munición escasea, algo parecido a los visto en alien insolación, scorn no te lleva de la mano lo que lo hace algo difícil en una época donde todo lo quieren fácil.

    Scorn es una perturbadora abra de arte en movimiento. La jugabilidad es simple pero unica a su vez.. Scorn es una propuesta arriesgada que deja al jugador descubrir todos sus secretos sin ninguna clase de guia o algun hilo conductor y eso es parte de su encanto.

    O jogo é incrivelmente criativo , gostei muito de como os quebra cabeças são colocados no game , a história é boa e a trilha também isso me motivou a terminar o jogo é miletar ele também , gostei e recomendo demais .

    The art style is amazing and the sound design is great. The combat felt ok, the game is short, but very memorable. Overall for a small studio, this game is great.

    The game's greatest strength is definitely its brilliant wordless narrative, where you piece together the fate of a dead civilization and the creature you play as in your head. Scorn is an experience that any fan of oppressive atmospheres and rotting flesh should not miss. [Issue#323]

    Give Scorn a chance if you feel like you can enjoy this game as an experience, rather than a strictly gameplay-focused project. Otherwise some questionable design choices and short length will most likely just bore you to death.
