    Stop review bombing this game! It doesn’t deserve it. For what this game is, it’s actually very, very fun. Isn’t that why we play games in the first place? Even though there’s no connection to the original games, Volition was very clear about that. So let’s judge Saints Row for what it is. It’s a fun, funny, wacky, action packed, if a bit buggy open world GTA directed by Michael Bay. WhyStop review bombing this game! It doesn’t deserve it. For what this game is, it’s actually very, very fun. Isn’t that why we play games in the first place? Even though there’s no connection to the original games, Volition was very clear about that.     Not as bad as I thought it would be, 4k resolution is not a practical choice. It's not an entirety perfect game but it's fun. In my book, if it's fun, it's a 10.

    Honestly gonna go down as the most underrated game of the year. It's vintage Saints Row in so many ways, very evocative of SR3 and since that's the series' peak there's no complaints here. A few bugs here and there on series x but nothing too bad or game breaking in my time with it. Noi a perfect game by any means but definitely recommend.     No entiendo porque tanto odio al juego, tiene el mejor sistema de creación y edición, el mapa es mucho mejor que el del 3 y 4

    I am really baffled on the universal hate on this game. It is a good open world game with a ton of fun stuff to do. If you like GTA style open world games, you will love it. I did not find it repetitive at all. The only downside is that the game crashes a lot, but hopefully this will be fixed in a patch. Just play the game yourself before you judge it so harshly.

    Giving it a 10 to counteract the reviews that haven't played it because if you call it woke trash you probably didn't even buy it. If you complain about the graphics you are watching YouTube videos off your phone.

    It's fun. Not perfect. Plays a lot like 3 but with some newer mechanics. Love the gliding. Gunplay feels so much better than 1-4. Mechanic, Nerd, Crazy One, and then your character who can literally be whatever you make them. Vehicle customization is better than ever. Guns are alright but are also fully customizable which makes up for the variety. The city/map is absolutely gorgeous, the attention to detail and cultural influences are spot on. In no way does the city feel lifeless. A lot of returning radio stations, great soundtrack when causing chaos.

    All in all, it's a good game and a great saints row. Don't get up with what is considered woke or generational and just enjoy the mayhem and comedy.    … Expand

    Really sucks to see this banger get review bombed it's the best saints Row game ever made and I'm a fan since the very beginning all those years ago. Playing on the series X and runs very well haven't encountered any game breaking bugs. All the people hating on it have never played it because on the Xbox store it has a 4.1 star out of a possible 5 rating.     Sure helps when you can't rate it without owning it.

    Love the chemistry between the main characters, the customization was amazing, and gameplay was incredibly addicting

    The city is amazing. So much detail, cool folk art, interesting architecture. Just roaming the streets is fun. Its easy to miss all those details though, because driving is a blast too. You don't even need to slow for corners once you get the hang of drifting.

    There are bugs but not that many. I put at least 60 hours into the game and it only crashed a handful of times. The story is    The city is amazing. The story is better than any of the other Saints Rows, but you can't spray feminists with raw sewage in this one, so the conservatives are up in arms about it being too "woke" and they're review bombing the game.

    The shooting mechanics are the games only big flaw. But there's always auto-aim, or adjusting the settings to making aiming easier.

    If you're not a fascist then you'll probably enjoy Saints Row. I sure did.    … Expand

    A lot of people are hating on this game for being exactly as advertised.. it's more saints row, just with a different cast of characters. The story is a bit short, but that's been the case with previous entries in the franchise as well. There's some initial glitches and bugs, but nothing completely game breaking (aside from some screen soft locking). Gunplay feels about the same as every other saints row game, not great but not horrible either. If you enjoyed saints row 3, 4 or gat out of hell, you'll have fun with this one. Just don't expect superpowers or ridiculously over the top weaponry and just enjoy the ride… Expand

    I really enjoyed the game, despite many negative reviews, for me it was an excellent game and an excellent purchase. With the addition of the wing-suit and the bright new setting, the game still delights its players. Along with the larger additions provided in the foreground with all new characters, settings, and gangs, the game makes minor improvements to its core gameplay systems. The gun control systems have been improved to allow for better accessibility for all players, the vehicle combat and controls allow for fluid movement and keep the action where it used to fall short, and even the character creation has been opened up to allow better representation and more comprehensive features. Now, as with most games in this series, there are solid areas where it falls short. The story is new and plays to a modern audience but still lacks the nuance one might expect from a narrative driven experience. There are also bugs similar to the previous titles that should be expected to be phased out in later updates. Otherwise, this is a fine title to add to a overall good series. Highest recommendations to ignore the scores and try it for yourself before casting any judgements.

    The game hits all the right beats that a Saints Row reboot should. It's a nice in between of SR2 and SR3 in terms of feel, formula, and gameplay. The new cast are all really likable and I easily found myself caring about them. The story is pretty standard for an SR game, you start your gang, take out rival gangs, build up your empire, and take over the city. I'm docking some points because the co op is still pretty buggy and the ending feels a bit abrupt, which hopefully the DLC will rectify.

    The game is also not "woke" at all. Anyone who is saying that didn't actually play the game. If anything, it actually pokes fun at "woke" culture. The user reviews were clearly review bombed by people who were incredibly misinformed.    … Expand

    Saints Row is a franchise that has its best days behind it. Consequently, the latest iteration is dull, dated, and lacking oomph. The open world is great, as are the side hustles. However, this doesn't make up for its many shortcomings. Fans of the franchise may overlook the tedium, but I could not.

    I am extremely sad at this reboot of Saints Row, while I wasn’t a huge fan of the absolute bonkers nature of the 4th entry, even if I did love the 3rd. With this reboot I feel like Volition missed a huge opportunity evolve this series for a new generation, not just of consoles but for gamers. As it stands, this game comes off just feeling like its clinging to the tone and design choices from the 360; even the graphics in this reboot from 2022 feel dated and frankly Johnny Gat deserves better.

    Saints Row is not the reboot the series needed, significantly limiting the levels of insanity and comedy that are the hallmark of the series, while maintaining a gameplay that is now dated and in need of a serious makeover. This made it a decent but soulless title, definitely forgettable in today's landscape. If you're looking for a not-too-demanding open world it can still wring a few laughs out of you, but at the moment Saints Row smacks too much of a wasted opportunity. The series has great potential, but it needs a real leap forward if it is to have a future.
