    El juego es divertido y entretiene. Se nota que los tipos que acá comentan solo son HATERS de XBOX. El juego tiene problemas de IA, pero los gráficos ya se sabían que eran así. El juego cumple y jugable. No sé en donde están jugando los HATERS, pero en SERIES X corre perfecto. Yo seguiré disfrutando del juego y subiendo mi nivel y poderes. El juego es recomendable

    Is not so bad, vibe and setting are great, also has good ideas. For sure, lots of technical issues and very bad graphics but I can't put down the controller. Lots of improvement potentials are in this game, hope it will get it or at least the second installment!

    This a well sized open world. Storyline is pretty good. I like the art style and movement and gunplay are pretty good. I’m only going to solo so my is based on that.

    RedFall is the victim of a witch-hunt and vendetta against Xbox from Sony loyalists in the gaming community & media. Is the game great? No. Is it terrible? No. The story is interesting albeit not told through traditional cinematic cutscenes, opting for notes that the player must seek out themselves through exploration. The gunplay feels really good and the loot mechanics are great too. TheRedFall is the victim of a witch-hunt and vendetta against Xbox from Sony loyalists in the gaming community & media. The world does feel a little empty with a lack of NPC’s, similar to how Fallout76 felt at launch but overall this game has potential and could become a strong title if Arkane persevere, fix the technical issues & continue to support Redfall with post launch content.

    If you’re thinking about trying out the game, don’t be put off by negative reviews or view hungry YouTube videos. Majority of these people were always going to hate Redfall simply because it’s an Xbox first party title. You can play it on Game Pass, so if you end up not enjoying it, you don’t have to deal with buyers remorse.    … Expand

    A game with visual bugs and weak ai at times. But it's still very fun and shouldn't be ignored.

    An 8 if the bugs are fixed.
    Don't believe all the fake troll reviews 4 and below. It is ruining metacritic.

    I've been enjoying this title quite a bit. On my first few plays, I did experience a few bugs and some wonky enemy AI, but nothing after that. It could use a polish, as I have noticed some floating items and objects that defy gravity, but it's nothing game breaking. The game has great sound design and atmosphere, and I keep wanting to go back and play more.

    This may not be a $70 game but I am having a great time. People are really loving complaining about the game. I do not think its as bad as people are saying. I didnt start playing until after both of the updates on the release date. There was a 2nd update after 10pm usa and most of the critics were doing reviews on a game release prior to day 1 patches. Some of the complaints I hear are things that are in other aaa games. Like having to be in proximity of host to progress the mission. Just finished playing dead island and in that u had to be within alike a 3 foot circle to progress anything so then in this game they complain about it but its ok in dead island 2.

    Now played 10+ hours, and don't get all the extremely bad rep here. "0" seriously?? It's simple but good fun. The storyline is cool enough and the game keeps growing on me as I go along. Playing this solo on Xbox x series and it's running smoothly. It as its bugs that surly will be fixed. Together with the atomic heart release this keeps adding good value to game pass. No complaints!     redfall is a great experience and it has its bad points but the game is fun, the most questionable thing is the difficulty, because the game feels very easy and this is good at first but in the long run it can get boring, anyway give it a chance

    The Game is very funny play It alone and with Friends ar mucho better. The only problem of this game is the polish. Maybe a month or two of delay could be better. But the few rendiment issues are anecdotical.

The fact that im still wanting to play it after being hours in kinda says it all. Art direction is cool. Sound design is cool. Gunplay is cool. Some minor bugs and visual hiccups can probably be patched. Not gonna be a game of the year contender but not aIts not quite what I expected from Arkane. Es un juego entretenido, con una buena banda sonora, la historia no es la mejor pero es buena, a pesar de las quejas sobre su falta de modo rendimiento pienso que en este juego no es esencial, de lo que he jugado no me parece una jugabilidad tan frenética como para que en verdad requiera los 60fps o más, aunque eso no justifica el hecho de que ya lo habían vendido con esa idea, no me he topado con ningún bug, aunque es cierto que la inteligencia artificial no es la mejor, pero nada que afecte la experiencia de juego ya que sigue siendo disfrutable, en cuanto a los gráficos tiene un estilo artístico que no le da un aspecto muy realista, pero definitivamente no son gráficos de pasada generación, tiene una muy buena iluminación, las texturas tienen buenos desplazamientos y buenos mapeos de bump no encontré coaliciones raras en objetos que no deberían tener, los follajes cuentan con movimiento y algunos efectos no se ven nada mal, si comparamos con anteriores juegos de arkane graficamente este se nota más trabajado aunque con ligeros tropiezos en la optimización, en conclusión personalmente no me parece tan mal juego como lo quieren vender tiene sus tropiezos pero nada como para tachar el juego de injugable o disfrutable, es entretenido… Expand

Quand on voit des mastodontes comme jedi fallen order bourré de bug, au moins redfall est jouable , pas le plus beau mais pas le plus moche non plus. Si vous y jouez dans le gamepass, n’hésitez pas à plonger dans l’aventure. Par contre, à l’achat son prix devrait davantage tourner entre 40 et 50€ au lieu de 80€.… Expand

    Ughhh haters are the absolute worst. Like... I guess sucking the joy out of everything counts as a hobby, but y'all should get a life. This game is wonderful. Look... it's got issues, but it's ultimately a lot of fun to play, looks good, and has a really cool Stephen King-esque vibe. It's not gunna change the world, but it's a solid title.

    Após os dois últimos patchs de correção o jogo melhorou muito. Jogo tem uma excelente gunplay, alguns inimigos são bem desafiadores. Como crítica, acho que o sistema de itens poderia ser mais complexo, tipo vc ter que capturar alimentos e medicamentos para a base.

    It's a decent game wrapped in a whole load of issues, issues I honestly believe can and will be fixed in the up coming days, weeks and months. A nice big open world with some solid gunplay, but, I honestly think if this game was made by any other developers it would score much better. I tip my hat to Arkane for trying something new and different to their other games.

    Not a perfect game but ultimately better than I expected. It's fun in coop.

    But what's wrong with the review bombing? I thought Metacritic wants to improve on that? More than half of the user reviews are concern trolling console warriors who didn't even gave Redfall a try.

    Actually a fun game that was released months before getting finished.

    + Excellent shooting gameplay when foes AI is working normally, gorgeus visuals and atmosphere in general, excellent multuplayer.

    - Broken AI, bad optimization (30 fps is not cool for FPS), not enough content, bad inventory/looting system.

    Hope someday it will be fixed and re-released under updated title.

I've seen people saying the enemy AI is too dumb, in my experience I've found the AI to be on the high side. I've had countless enemies notice me for well over 100 yards away.     I didn't like the game since initial trailers  and I only ended testing it because it was free in Gamepass and people hate it... but I ended liking it A LOT and I'm not sure totally why I like it. I understand the criticisms, they are valid, but the thing is the game is fun, addictive and immersive for me. I must say I play alone. Before I get into the review, let's get into the summary on what Redfall is all about.

    Redfall is about a vampire invasion of an island town called Redfall. You get four characters to choose from before starting the actual game. Characters that have their own story. The characters talk to each other, which helps you learn about them specifically. What we do know, is that the main characters are like your standard Left 4 Dead and/or Back 4 Blood. Which sounds cool on paper but does it deliver? Let's find out.

    When I start the game, I am met with my character, in this case Jacob. You see two vampires feeding on a person. You can't help the person and are forces rlto watch them eat blood. Yes, you read correctly "eat". They don't look like they are sucking blood. They look like sloppy eaters who don't know how to bite off skins. In another way they are like intelligent zombies. Anyhow, as I lay there watching them, they end up notice me and begin to try and feed on me. Which does not happen, which is an obvious situation that is like a plot device from the Xbox 360 and PS3 Era. When they run, you get to meet the one of the big bads. A vampire lady called the Black Sun. They very same vampire who blocks out the sun in Elder Scrolls Skyrim: Dawnguard fashion.

    Then the gameplay starts; which feels like a Left 4 Dead game, but with vampires. When you start off, you are supposed to head out of the drained harbor and head to the fire station. They you get access to the main quests upon a quest table, which again feels like an Xbox 360 game mechanic.

    As you start exploring and doing the main quests and/or safe house quests. You find the repetitive gameplay loop when you start the main open-world activities. Which as bad as it sounds is not the worse part of the game. It give so much of a Left 4 Dead plot device and gameplay. It clicks with me. Which I admit I am enjoying the game even with the thirty frames per second. The thirty refresh rate is a bummer, but it isn't the biggest issue. The biggest issue is the amount of bugs within the game. From simple bugs and glitches to funny ones that Bethesda studios are known for. However, having to dashboard and reset the game to get quest objectives to work is frustrating. It will test a person's patience. The fun and adventure is good, but everything else hinders the experience to frustrate and disappoint many gamers. Even with all the bugs, which some are far and between since they only happen with co-op. The game has potential and is still fun and interesting if you like Left 4 Dead. However, if you are here for the co-op then you are in for a huge disappointment in Redfall. Co-op is broken, it has been dashboarding me and my friends, when we try to play together. Not only that it is not a seemless multiplayer experience. It acts like Left 4 Dead multiplayer. You have a host and only their progress counts. Yet, it is an easy way to get to level 40, which is the level cap of the game, super easily if you have plenty of friends playing. Even with the disconnect issues and game freezing that happens with co-op play. Most if not all the bugs and glitches occurs when playing co-op. Both game breaking and silly ones. From characters T posing to not being able to pause, crouch, or punch in the game. The characters themselves have their own personalities, but where they shine are their abilities and conversations with each other. Which means while Jacob and Devinder are the better choices to choose from, the best experience are if person has a character picked. One person picks Jacob, one pick Divinder, and so on. Otherwise, you are skipping character story and relationship development. What do I mean by character relationship development? The game supports a TRUST system which means when you play with people who are different characters, you get to have more dialog between the four characters. Which helps get to know each one. Now their abilities play a certain role for the game. With Jacob being the sniper and rogue type. While Devindernis the crowd control character. These two characters are wonderful to play as, because their skills are the most useful. Remi is the support, besides her healing ability, her other abilities are pretty much useless. She gets a robot companion that becomes an annoyance than a helpful tool. It gets in the way and the AI like all the other AI in the game is terrible. Then we have Layla, the psychic who can use her vampire EX Boyfriend to tank and he is decent, but falls flat later in the game.

    Now even with some of these set backs with the actual game, I honestly believe that Redfall does not deserve the overwhelming hate it is currently receiving. Is a game like Redfall perfect? No. However, it can be fun if you can look past the bugs or when co-op is working correctly.    … Expand

    The game is not super bad has an ok story. The gameplay is not that bad. i have put sometime in the game and some of the missions are funny. i enjoyed the time i have played this game. And i plan on spending more time with this game.

    Redfall me parece interesante pero algo genérico. Me interesa la idea de los vampiros y no zombies ( cómo en muchos casos) pero pudo estar mejor ejecutado. A nivel de historia es simple pero estos juegos no tratan tanto de eso pero igual esta funciona. A nivel de gameplay es divertido pero se necesitan mejoras en las animaciones. La dificultad te suele retar cuando hay vampiros, pero seRedfall me parece interesante pero algo genérico. Me interesa la idea de los vampiros y no zombies ( cómo en muchos casos) pero pudo estar mejor ejecutado. A nivel de historia es simple pero estos juegos no tratan tanto de eso pero igual esta funciona. A nivel de gameplay es divertido pero se necesitan mejoras en las animaciones. La dificultad te suele retar cuando hay vampiros, pero se puede arruinar debido a la terrible IA. Los personajes son buenos y tienen lo suyo, yo elegí a Jacob y debo decir que me gusta su diseño y habilidades pero no me gusta su actitud con su cuervo. Me encontré algunos bugs y algunas texturas tardan en cargar, y a nivel gráfico no es tan bueno, pero no hay tanta cosa mala ya que siento que tiene el estilo de fortnite, pero molesta que sea un título Next-Gen. El juego esta divertido, aveces en multijugador puede estar desequilibrado debido a los niveles de tus amigos o los tuyos, pero me parece divertido, solo que necesita pulirse el nivel técnico, gráfico y arreglar bugs y así puede ser mejor valorado .… Expand

The aim on controller needs adjusting its nothing a good gamer can not handle it just needs tweaking, the map navigation needs more work as well it requires a mission icon and a quick pointer.    This game is a looter shooter at its core and it does exactly that.

    The aim on controller needs adjusting its nothing a good gamer can not handle it just needs tweaking, the map navigation needs more work as well it requires a mission icon and a quick pointer.

    Overall enjoying the game and thank god nobody has a bow, for a first attempt Arkane have done a decent job.

    I know this game was the fun one to hate on but I want to give you an honest review. The game is fun solo. I have not played an online match yet and have been slowly working through the game. Since completing it, i was able to get all of the achievements but maybe four and ran into none of the issues others did because I am not hosting a live match.     Despite most of the negative reviews, this game is actually pretty fun. Especially if you play with friends. There are quite a few bugs that I assume will get fixed in time. Hopefully, the developers put in the work. I finished the game and will give it another go once 60fps drops.

    è sicuramente basilare, ma almeno ora ti sparano se ti vedono.
    e risulta essere una normalissima ia da giochi coop, dove la difficoltà non è incentrata sul singolo nemico ma più sul gruppo.
    mentre per i vampiri, basta incontrare un gruppetto di 3/4 per diventare degli avversari veramente temibili che mi hanno fatto morire in diverse occasioni. in qualche occasione capita che si incastrano, ma nella totalità del gioco funzionano bene.
    senza contare che giocarlo da soli nelle fasi più complicate diventa davvero molto impegnativo, e per non renderlo impossibile, il gioco mantiene i danni fatti ai nemici anche se muori, ad eccezione dei boss principali.
    questo per molti potrebbe essere una semplificazione, ma che appunto se lo si gioca in solitaria e quindi non si hanno compagni che ti rianimano risulta essere un buon compromesso per non renderlo troppo frustrante.
    l'ambientazione del gioco vedendola dai trailer non mi aveva mai convinto.
    ma vederlo sulla tv di casa fa tutto un altro effetto.
    ovviamente rimane un titolo che poteva tranquillamente girare su xbox one, e che invece gira solo su next gen a 30 fps, il che fa un po strano, ma comunque è più piacevole del previsto.
    la qualità delle mappe alla arkane si perde molto in una mappa così aperta, però allo stesso tempo non è così vasta, e con diverse zone interne da esplorare.
    oltre al fatto che molte zone ci puoi accedere con diversi approcci, o entrando in edifici da zone differenti, o magari andare prima in una zona per facilitarne un'alta.
    come detto non al livello che ci ha abituato arkane ma comunque nemmeno assente come spesso si sente.
    diciamo che si sente di più lo stile arkane in questo titolo, piuttosto di sentire lo stile obsidian in un gioco tipo grounded, però stranamente in quel caso nessuno ha detto nulla perchè non era nata una polemica sterile.
    il gioco offrirà tanti piccoli segreti da trovare, tra cui messaggi audio o messaggi testuali da leggere che ti raccontano il mondo di gioco.
    peccato che quando leggi il gioco non va in pausa anche se giochi da solo, e lo stesso vale quando vuoi cambiare arma, e questo genererà una problematica per chi come me ha scelto la via del gioco solitario.
    il gioco in alcuni punti sembra strutturato sul pensare che tu non stai giocando da solo.
    e lo si vede da piccole cose tipo i poteri che sono spezzettati tra i 4 personaggi, andando inevitabilmente a precludere alcune abilità.
    ma questa è la parte meno pesante e che si nota meno.
    come detto il gioco non va in pausa quando devi cambiare arma, e quindi non puoi cambiarla durante uno scontro, tutto ok, se non fosse che alcuni nemici si sconfiggono con armi apposite, e noi potremo portare con noi soltanto 3 armi.
    quindi dovremo avere sempre con noi almeno un'arma per trafiggere/bruciare i vampiri, mentre è consigliato avere un'arma a raggi uv che ti permette di eliminare dei fastidiosi nemici che generano una nebbia rossa dove subiamo danno se ci entriamo.
    però almeno in questo caso è un'arma che risulterà fondamentale in pochissime situazioni, mentre nella quasi totalità del prodotto potremo evitare la nebbia passando per altre zone.
    ma risulta ovvio che se si vuole avere un'efficienza al massimo delle potenzialità, poter portare con sé solo 3 armi risulta fin troppo limitante, nelle partite senza altri giocatori.
    difetti a parte, il titolo riesce in pieno ad offrire un'esperienza che si può giocare tranquillamente da soli, e che almeno nel mio caso mi è riuscito ad intrattenere per oltre 25 ore senza annoiarmi.
    un titolo che si poteva indubbiamente fare meglio, specialmente al day 1.
    un titolo che potrebbe far arrabbiare molti fan di arkane.
    ma d'altronde oggi viviamo in un mondo dove si pretende di vedere sempre gli stessi giochi fatti con lo stampino, e se si vede qualcosa di differente ci si mette a piangere.
    e allo stesso tempo magari chi fa queste critiche è lo stesso che si lamenta che vuole vedere novità, ma quando esse arrivano vengono spesso schifate a prescindere, perchè magari troppo lontane da lo stile arkane, qualsiasi cosa voglia dire questa frase.
    questo non toglie il fatto che il titolo abbia fatto grossi errori, ma allo stesso tempo è stato distrutto sotto aspetti che andavano bene fin dal day 1, e che oggi dopo aver sistemato molte cose risulta un tiolo più che piacevole.

Things I liked, for its issues and lack of a deep story, it’s still a fun shooter that’s easy to pick up and put down without having to worry about forgetting where you are or what you’re doing. Perfect for gamer dads that work full time. It’s got some fun mechanics and basic rpg elements that keep things just interesting enough. It’s a nice appetizer game, just fun enough to keep you busy till something you’re excited about comes out…..hopefully you weren’t too excited about this one though.    … Expand

As a solo player, it really saddens me that there is no matchmaking. I'd love to try this with others as I'm sure it's much more fun that way. But even with that, they need to add progress save in multiplayer, the fact thatI understand that coming from Arkane this is absolutely a deception.     This feels like I'm playing an old game on a first gen PS4. Again, not a huge problem for me, but for 70$, sorry but that's way, way unacceptable. Having game pass, I feel slightly less robbed, but that's the problem with game pass: it makes us more tolerant to BS.

    I think Arkane actually had a fun vision here, and it IS fun. It just needed a solid 6 more months in the oven, which is not an Arkane decision, but a Bethesda/Microsoft problem.

    This is really sad because this release is probably going to make things change at Arkane when I really don't think they should, they probably won't try this genre again for a good while, and that's a damned shame, because Arkane is an incredible studio that I still have a lot of faith in.

    As for Xbox/Bethesda, this makes me very worried about the overall future of the platform, and Starfield. If Starfield is anything short of amazing, I'm selling my Xbox and picking up a new hobby, the gaming industry doesn't make fun and interesting things anymore, just drugs for dopamine addicts, and I can't take it anymore.

Sure enemy ai may be stupid at times and the Gagne lags at some points but I guess I’m lucky to not see any game breaking bugs YET. I think if they have a couple patch fixes this will shape up to a great game to play with a party of 4 people. Bugs are what is making me rate low so when fixedTbh the game isn’t horrible so far.     I tweaked the controls doesn't make me wanna puke anymore so there is that! And I am really enjoying co-op and that is where this game shines most for me. Fix the game and we have something that all intentions is special. Maybe I change my score

    Redfall is a video game that has good ideas, the problem is that it didn't know how to present them well. Also another important point is the issue that there is no 60 FPS on Xbox series X/S, being a "Next-Gen" game it should not run at 30 FPS.

    I was playing in coop in friends and for a while a solo game. Somehow it was fun nevertheless huge amount of bugs and seriously flawed gameplay. I don't see how it could become a good game even if they spend a lot of time on it, because it missing so many aspect of what make Arkane game a good game.

    Also game is very easy, because AI does not work

    Gameplay - The Gunplay is probably the best part of the game, but it is dragged down by other elements like weird AI behavior, repetitive/boring encounters, and weird gun progression. I'll explain a couple of these below. (Gunplay feels good)

    Encounters - You fight the same basic enemies, and early on the game introduces a few mini-boss enemies that don't show up that often. Missions also feel very similar in their design. Outside missions, the world doesn't have much else to offer. Also, even though the world is small, it feels empty in most areas that are not mission locations.

    Weird Gun Progression - The way the game gives you weapons feels off. I usually just use weapons dropped by the rook or sold in the firehouse. Pretty much all the lootable weapons in the game seem like they are only meant to be scrap. They are usually either worse than the weapons you have or are the same as the ones you have but they don't have unique properties or buffs that beg you to switch up your loadout that often.

    Story - It can get a bit interesting at certain parts, but that's if you sit through the slideshows and audio logs. It feels like Arkane just animated that one cutscene at the beginning of the game and stopped.

    Environment/Atmosphere - The actual environment and atmosphere are also good parts of the game. The environments are detailed and interesting. The atmosphere is also good, but the sound/music can be a bit weird at times. For the music, it was good and made a spooky atmosphere in most parts of the world, but some areas like the firehouse have trap-like music playing. I have just accepted it and it doesn't bother me, but it's a subjective topic.

    Graphics/Bugs - Even after patch 1.1, there are still many bugs that pull the entire experience down more. There are still weird ones with the map, subtitles, graphics, sound, stability, and more. The graphical side of the game is just broken, there's not much to say about it.

    More - There's still stuff I haven't talked about, including topics like UI and things I didn't talk about in topics I wrote about above. It's a "meh" game that can improve a bit over time. This review is only looking at the game itself. I'm not going to bring up anything about development, broken promises, staffing issues, and other things.

    Future - This will not impact the score at all, but Redfall can improve. If State of Decay 2 is to go by, then a small team at Arkane Austin can make Redfall a better game. They can still roll out patches to fix bugs, AI, graphics, and more. They could also possibly fix issues relating to content. It could probably go from a 3-5/10 game to a 6-7/10 one.    … Expand

    I'm not jumping on the review bomb train, this was one of my most anticipated games of the year so I'm not happy about writing this review. No the 30fps and performance issues are not the only problem with this game. It lacks creativity and vision. It feels like a game that Arkane was forced to make.     Não acho que Redfall é horrível mas é uma grande decepção. É difícil de acreditar que a ARKANE lançou um jogo cheio de problemas gráficos, com uma péssima IA e ainda lançando o jogo sem modo performance nos consoles (apenas com modo qualidade a 30 fps) e muito mal otimizado no pc. Apesar disso tem coisas positivas, a gemeplay é divertida, a história é interessante e a exploração da cidadeNão acho que Redfall é horrível mas é uma grande decepção.     I give it a 5 because the game is unfinished, the AI is bad, the graphics are bad, it seems to be from 360, the textures take time to load, some drop in FPS on very popular sites, I hope they fix the game to give it a better grade

    Un juego muy bajo tecnicamente, graficos y una IA lamentable. No es un juego de 80 napo, es de 30 como mucho. Bueno el juego se puede jugar, pero se nota que le falto mucho mas desarrollo porque se ve.

    Redfall was a game that I really wanted to be fun but unfortunately was disappointed with the end product. I spent roughly 2 hours with it and during those 2 hours, it couldn't keep me engaged. I had played by myself on my pc and the game had a rough time running, with mostly low frame rates being my main issue. I’ll start with some pros, I do actually like the intro to the game. I like the setting of Redfall, a town full of vampires that trap the locals and now you and 3 other characters have to fight the vampires head-on and free the town. It reminds me of Far Cry 5 and funny enough some of the open world feels like Far Cry which is something that I liked. It also helped that the game itself has that familiar art style that was used in previous games like Dishonored, Prey, and Deathloop so it gives the game a sort of aesthetic. Overall the world is very cool but sadly there are too many negatives to be able to enjoy it.
    Now with the negatives, some of the writing in this game is just atrocious. I am not gonna attack anyone who wrote it or say that I could’ve done better but writing is just bad. Some of the characters have dialogue that reminds me of the remake of Saints Row which was just cringy. I played Layla, the college student, and as a college student, this character was the most stereotypical college student ever written in games. I liked her powers and thought she looked so cool but her writing is some of the worst, especially when she repeats lines in the open world after staking a vampire. The story had that strong start giving you sort of the lore on how the town got taken over but after that intro, the story just takes a huge backseat. There’s still a “story” but it's not engaging at all. I got to a part in a mansion where you learn some more backstory but by then I was so bored I didn’t want to pay attention and was just trying to rush the mission. The gameplay itself is alright, it can be fun at first but then gets really boring an hour in. It plays very similar to Far Cry but watered down a ton. Finally, as mentioned before, the game did not run well. I was just playing on the most basic setting but the low frame rate and pop-in texture was so bad that it sometimes would affect my actual combat.
    I truly didn’t want this game to fail, I loved Arkane’s previous games and I was hopeful that Xbox would have a nice turnaround and lead Xbox down a bright future but unfortunately, this game is just not good. Maybe it's better if you play with friends but I don’t see that helping a bit. Thankfully I didn't buy the game and played it on Game Pass but even for free I was still really disappointed. Maybe it might have a redemption story later on but right now it's a 5/10 for me.    … Expand

    Excelente juego, la prensa no sabe nada. Llevo más de 20hs de juego y claramente le tiraron con todo solamente por ser exclusivo de Xbox, deathloop salió en mal estado y nadie dijo nada solamente por salir en ps5. Lamentable lo que hizo la prensa y los fans de Sony con este juego.

I had very high expectation from Arkane because last games from this studio was very very good and I’m disappointed… Redfall is one of most generic open world shooter I ever saw and had many bugs.     Je mets la moyenne par respect pour le travail des développeurs, mais j'avoue avoir tenu 20mn avant de laissé tomber.
    Je n'ai pas du tout accroché.
    Il va peut-être conquérir d'autre personnes, mais pas pour moi.
    Je l'attendais avec impatience, c'est vraiment dommage.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. A lot of missed opportunities.

    The world had a few beautiful sights to take in, small details made exploration interesting if you take the time to consider your surroundings. The horror is also intensified by the sounds of death and "jump-scare" style effects (those darn car alarms and boat horns got me every time). The main story had some highlights that added to the development of the environment in a positive way. Having played as the Crow Bearing commando, I also enjoyed the random input it had to offer, bringing a bit of humor to an overwhelmingly dark world. One NPC interaction/questline stuck with me (involving the vet clinic in the second "act"). I also encountered very few bugs/glitches given Bethesda was behind this title.

    That said, the gameplay was lacking. Full disclosure, I only played the single-player campaign 1.5 times thru. There may be "many" weapons, but each category offers only a couple of variations. You may find yourself only using two weapons for the majority of the game and heavily neglecting the third slot.

    The enemies are either pathetic or more challenging than any of the bosses. Having died only three times during the first playthrough, I can say none of which were on a "boss". Speaking of which, out of the four, only one of them was truly a test of skill and resourcefulness (LW) while the finale was devoid of any combat against the ringleader that darkened the sun.

    The world felt both too empty and too small at the same time. After reaching the second part of the island, I recall walking an entire stretch of road without encountering an enemy or an interesting location to explore. This is something completely out of character for a Bethesda game.

    Leveling in the game started off as an exciting event. Thinking about how I was going to spec my character for maximum survivability gave me just enough encouragement to push through any doubts I had about the game. Having only played one character (Jacob Boyer), I can only speak to his feats/abilities. Once the cloak ability was unlocked, the game was already broken. Becoming invisible for ten seconds and enemies immediately forgetting they were looking for you seemed like an unintentional bug. Shoot a couple of baddies for easy kills, cloak when they start getting close, rinse and repeat. I could even run from one end of the map to the other, barely ever running into an enemy, and in the event I sparked some attention, don the cloak and my worries are gone to continue to my destination.

    Nearing the end of the campaign, experience is gained at a snail's pace, making it unlikely that a player will ever accomplish their respective skill-tree goals in the first playthrough. All of the characters have the same few skill unlocks available to them, such as improving ammo capacity for certain weapons, but I'll be honest, I only put one point into these trees (stake launcher capacity).

    Overall, the game felt too quick to finish. Having hunted for any side quests I could, I managed to complete the game in a single weekend and I'm confident that someone with less regard to stealth would've finished in a single sitting. There was no feeling of truly game-changing rewards for completing side quests, such as OP weaponry or storyline changes. The player skin/outfit feature felt out of touch with the setting of the game a silly.

    Final thought:
    I'll likely finish my second playthrough/NewGame+ and call it quits. I doubt playing different characters will address the concerns I have that limit me from ranking this game higher. I also won't be able to convince my friends to join and check out what the multiplayer aspect entails, which again won't change the game in a remarkable way.    … Expand

    The game is very unfinished, it works at 30 fps, there is no normal plot, the open world is so good, the shooting is good, in general, with patches, something similar to a good game will turn out.

But coming straight from Dead Island 2, the drop in quality is remarkable. It's so poor, this may have wider consequences for XBox and Microsoft as a whole.     Esto no es Arkane, es un juego genérico en early access que nos lo han colado. Tiene menos futuro que los coches del juego, que de dos disparos a la ventanilla explotan. No entiendo como han sacado esto así en series X, es increíble.

    I don’t understand what’s been happening with the developers lately, with such a simple graphics, only 30 fps, the shooting is disgusting, as if I’ve returned to the Xbox one days, I’m already ready to buy pro versions of consoles, because I feel it will only get worse.

    Microsoft better get their bleep together or they will be in some serious trouble. I’m cancelling my GP subscription and they will have to seriously earn back my trust to get me back as a subscriber bc this debacle of a game is unacceptable. How do you release a AAA game in this state after the Cyberpunk fiasco?! I know how I just hope they do.

    Redfall describes the interests of young gamers today.

    Live Services Co-op multiplayer with no quality that no one cares about in a year because the next game is out.
    Soulless and a disgrace to the art developers show with gaming. I give 4 points here because you can actually turn off your head and have fun. However, I don't recommend it if your expectations of a game are emotionally high.

La ejecución de acciones como correr en el juego también resalta como un aspecto problemático, tanto en la perspectiva de primera persona como en el modo multijugador, donde los movimientos de los compañeros de equipo carecen de fluidez y naturalidad.

    La acumulación de deficiencias técnicas y de diseño empaña la experiencia de juego en Redfall. Los numerosos errores, la escasa diversión, la optimización insatisfactoria y el diseño frustrante convergen para desafiar la recomendación de participar en esta experiencia. A pesar de sus ambiciones, Redfall no logra cumplir con las expectativas de los jugadores, convirtiéndose en un ejemplo lamentable de juego cuyo impacto podría perdurar por sus limitaciones.     The result is a game with no identity of its own. Redfall simultaneously wants to be a looter shooter like Borderlands, in an open world like Fallout's, with action like Dying light and a lengthy multiplayer experience like Destiny. But it fails on all counts. The game environments are bleakly empty, the gameplay is wooden. Like the vampires from the world of Redfall, the game has no soul.

    Sadly, Redfall had unbelievable potential and a dynamic studio behind this that is known for quality gaming, but under delivered at quite literally almost every facet of the game. Redfall, unfortunately, should be avoided, and in fact, I hope that the industry starts taking a look at these games and starts evaluating its processes, because if you're only as good as your last game, then Arkane isn't looking good at all.
