    The follow-up to Planet of Lana attempts to recapture lighting in a bottle by doubling down on its signature 2-D platforming and puzzle elements, but a handful of visual and gameplay inconsistencies make the experience considerably less enjoyable.

While that restraint preserves the spirit of the original, it also carries over its sluggish pacing, occasionally convoluted puzzles, and moments of frustration, resulting in a gorgeous but overly safe sequel that echoes rather than elevates its predecessor.
