Mar 4, 2026Across all aspects of the experience – gameplay, story., audio, and visuals – Planet of Lana II is a resounding success. A joy to play, a touching story, and incredible soundtrack make for what will be a top contender for my favourite game of the year.
-
Mar 6, 2026Plant of Lana II is the success we suspected it would be. A brilliantly told tale combines with stunning visuals, cracking gameplay mechanics, intriguing puzzles and a soundtrack to die for. But it lacks wow moments and any sense of difficulty.
-
Mar 4, 2026Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf is a fantastic sequel that confidently builds on its predecessor with smarter, more complex puzzles and expanded abilities for both Lana and Mui. Combined with the gorgeous Ghibli-like visuals of the first game, an enthralling story with a big mystery at its heart, and a phenomenal soundtrack, Planet of Lana II is a gem of a game that is a must-play for puzzle-platforming fans.
-
Mar 4, 2026Planet of Lana II is a sequel that takes all the good things about it's predecessor and builds upon them, adding new well thought out mechanics and engaging additions to the gameplay all housed within a breathtaking, captivating world.
-
Mar 4, 2026Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf builds on the already good predecessor to deliver a more varied, deep, and rewarding adventure. With great anime-like art direction, clever and challenging puzzles, and a compelling and emotional story, it stands as a 2D side-scrolling adventure that deserves to be played by any lover of narrative adventures.
-
Mar 5, 2026Planet of Lana 2 is a brilliant narrative platformer that confirms Wishfully’s talent. A short but unforgettable adventure that stands out for its art, its music, and its ability to tell a moving story without the need for words.
-
Mar 4, 2026Planet of Lana 2 succeeds exactly where it matters most. It keeps building of a solid foundation laid by the first game, but expands the scope of both the puzzles and the story without leaving behind the uniquely meditative atmosphere. It’s an absolute must for fans of the first game and those who are looking for a more positive spin on genre favourites like Inside or Reanimal.
-
Mar 4, 2026A bigger, darker sequel that expands the original’s beautiful world with stronger puzzles, deeper storytelling, and a more emotional adventure.
-
Apr 1, 2026A great comeback for Lana and Miu in a new adventure that will let the players explore the depths of a dangerous planet.
-
Mar 13, 2026There's a lot to love about Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf. It's set in a beautiful world that's filled with gorgeous color and fantastic music, and it teases you with mysteries that you want to unravel and feel excited about for doing so. A good-but-not-great first half holds it back though, as the best platforming puzzles and story revelations are saved for the dramatic finale. If the ending of the game is any indication, we should expect another game in this series. And if the latter half of Planet of Lana II is evidence of the direction of where the gameplay of this series is going, I cannot wait to see that third game.
-
Mar 4, 2026The world of Novo is as captivating as ever. The puzzles on offer, enhanced with deeper mechanics are well thought out, and the expanded narrative provides some answers and takes some risks with its story telling. Planet of Lana 2 can’t quite escape feeling a little familiar, but who’s going to complain about more of such a good thing?
-
Mar 4, 2026Planet of Lana II stays true to its original vision while carefully expanding upon it. Instead of starting over, Wishfully tweaks it all while addressing critiques of the first game and delivering a more varied, more in-depth experience without sacrificing its familiarity and fitting charm. The added mobility, more layered puzzles, and greater variety in environments help the sequel feel more dynamic overall. Anyone who enjoys thoughtful platforming puzzles wrapped in a cinematic, emotionally driven story will find much to appreciate in Planet of Lana II.
-
Mar 4, 2026Planet of Lana 2: Children of the Leaf emerges as a worthy follow-up to the first game, boasting a smattering of neat improvements over the original, a touching story, and, despite a few moments of frustration, an otherwise enjoyable procession of platforming and puzzles.
-
Mar 4, 2026The follow-up to Planet of Lana attempts to recapture lighting in a bottle by doubling down on its signature 2-D platforming and puzzle elements, but a handful of visual and gameplay inconsistencies make the experience considerably less enjoyable.
-
Mar 4, 2026Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf is a likeable and soulful adventure like the opening part, but unfortunately it feels more like a first steps for something new than an independent part.
-
Mar 4, 2026Planet of Lana II delivers another contemplative, emotionally resonant, and visually stunning journey, choosing careful refinement over daring reinvention. While that restraint preserves the spirit of the original, it also carries over its sluggish pacing, occasionally convoluted puzzles, and moments of frustration, resulting in a gorgeous but overly safe sequel that echoes rather than elevates its predecessor.

Mar 20, 2026Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf is a solid sequel and a more complete experience than the original. It expands on its mechanics, offers greater variety, and builds a richer world, but its conservative approach ultimately prevents it from making the decisive leap forward. [Recommended]
