    Was initially sceptical about this game when i heard what type of game it was but after the first few hours i found myself uunable to stop playing. After 11 hours and in 3 sittings i finished what is a expertly crafted and beautifully polished game. Couldn't recommend this game enough. 9/10.

    A big 9 points for this game I love the graphics and combat system mixed with rythm of music only issue is that we cant download it on Xbox one console versions I can play it on cloud ofc but sometimes the streaming cuts and the game is off beat when fighting, but still great game

    Great, fast-paced gameplay. Visuals are great, combat is deep and combo-heavy. Rhythm and beat takes a bit of time to get used to and find but once you find it - the game becomes even more enjoyable.

Al ver el trailer de lanzamiento me temí que los personajes fueran MUY pesados, pero al pasar el rato te das cuenta de que no es así y puedes disfrutar de la historia gracias a ellos.     Such a surprise! I'm very mediocre at this game, but it gives me so much fun :)

    Controls are super responsive. Story is nice and that silly goofy kind of humor hits the spot. Well written. Combat is VERY satisfying, especially when you're good with the beat :)

    Everythin was so well done. The story was nice, the animation, the quality, the acting, the gameplay, amazing. The low point to me was the music...in a rythm game! I kept waiting for the music to pump me up but it never really came. They kept coming up with new mechanics to make the game stay fresh. 12 hour play thru for me and I loved every second. The last couple lvls were dope AF 9/10!

    This game originally seemed like a foreign concept as rhythm and action didn't really seem like it would go together well, I was wrong. This game is surprisingly fun and enjoyable for a modern AAA release, especially because it was shadow dropped out of nowhere. Would recommend.

    Es uno de los mejores usos de la BSO que he visto nunca, niveles llenos de secretos y coleccionables que buscar, un elenco maravilloso que se compenetra a la perfección con el protagonista. Unas peleas de bosses memorables (sobre todo la final y ese lobo) , una visión del Hack n' Slash que no se ha visto nunca. JUGAD a Hi-Fi Rush.
    Los videojuegos necesitan estas experiencias no intentos mediocres de parecerse a Hollywood los videojuegos son para divertirse y esta obra me ha teletransportado a aquellos maravillosos años arcade donde se arriesgaba más con propuestas diferentes y jugábamos para divertirnos.

The art style looks superb and cutscenes are extremely well done, all while the game runs smoothly on high settings. Imo the levels are a bit toooo long which makes the setting they are in get pretty old pretty quickly.

    I may suck at rhythm games, but I could see myself improving and getting more and more enjoyment out of it. But unlike other games, Hi-Fi rush actually seems complete on release with no bugs observerd.

    I swear if you want to experience the game differently, try playing it on Japanese dub coz it's so good! The voice actors that they cast are not just any other VA. It's like watching an anime! Like for instance, Kale (the last boss), his Japanese voice is played by Takehito Koyasu who is well known voice of Dio from jojo Bizarre.

    Definitely a good contender for the Game Of The Year. I spent hours of gaming and currently on a post-game completing it on rhythm master mode. The game is a masterpiece! I am not even a fan of these type of music but I ended up vibing with it. Specially the song from one of the bosses. Ugh! it is super good. The battle system is so unique and so badass. It would leave you feel good about yourself coz you're doing these combos easily. one of my favorites in the battle mode is the assist. In, fighting games like Marvel vs Capcom 2, Power Rangers, etc. Assist is one of important in combo and it gives additional flavor to it. I feel like they hit the spot on that. It feels so good when you are on over 100 hit combo doing assist and even have specials with your assist too!

    Even after finishing the game there's still a lot of things to do. There's a tower you can clear out, you can go back to previous levels to unlock some of the locked stages that you saw from your first run through, you can complete painting on the wall, etc.

    These are the reasons why I didn't give it a perfect 10:

    1. I wish we have an option to reset a boss fight from the very beginning. All bosses have at least 3 phases, and it acts like a check point. If you die in mid boss fight, you'd respawn on the last phase/check point. I kinda like it to have an option to start from the very beginning of the boss fight.

    2. Costumes are only accessible after finishing the game. It would've been better if customization (clothes) is accessible from your first run through. The character that let you customize is just standing in the hide out doing nothing.

    3. I kinda wish that we wouldn't need to finish the Easy, Normal and Hard difficulty if we've finished the game on Very Hard Mode for achievement.    … Expand

    This is Xbox’s real turning point for Bethesda and it came in a fantastic way. Art style reminds me of certain Cartoon Network shows, gameplay being a platformer like Mario and Sonic, overall, the only Xbox exclusive I can give a damn about on the Series X.

    hi-fi rush riesce nel difficile compito di prendere due generi non popolarissimi, e unirli alla perfezione. riuscendo a trovare il giusto compromesso per renderlo bello e apprezzabile anche a chi non si è mai avvicinato a questi generi di gioco.
    la prima anima del gioco è quella da stylish action, dove dovremo sconfiggere i nemici nel modo più spettacolare per ottenere il punteggio    hi-fi rush riesce nel difficile compito di prendere due generi non popolarissimi, e unirli alla perfezione. riuscendo a trovare il giusto compromesso per renderlo bello e apprezzabile anche a chi non si è mai avvicinato a questi generi di gioco.
    la prima anima del gioco è quella da stylish action, dove dovremo sconfiggere i nemici nel modo più spettacolare per ottenere il punteggio migliore. con l'aggiunta di tante fasi platform che ci permetteranno di raggiungere le varie arene, e di trovare le varie zone segrete per potenziare il personaggio.
    mentre la seconda anima del gioco risiede nella sua parte da rhythm games che riesce a sposarsi alla perfezione con lo spirito degli stylish action, dato che per fare i punteggi migliori bisognerà fare le varie azioni di gioco seguendo il tempo.
    se al inizio risulterà complesso, avendo un personaggio che può fare solo attacco leggero e attacco pesante, con più si proseguirà nel titolo, con più nuove possibilità di combattimento ci verranno offerte. aggiungendole progressivamente, alla fine ci troveremo paradossalmente a fare i punteggi migliori. sia per una confidenza maggiore con il titolo, sia anche alle tante possibilità in più che abbiamo per muoverci nel gioco.
    ogni cosa al interno del titolo andrà a tempo quindi non sarà difficile mantenerlo, ma in caso di bisogno si può anche attivare una grossa barra che ci mostrerà il ritmo giusto da tenere.
    ma anche se non si è bravissimi a mantenere un ritmo giusto, il titolo non è così punitivo e potrà essere completato ugualmente senza grossi problemi.
    forse unica grossa difficoltà è contro un boss che per essere sconfitta bisognerà premere dei tasti a tempo, e il margine d'errore è veramente basso.
    il titolo si rovina un po nella sua parte endgame, dove per vedere il vero finale dovremo in pratica rigiocarci l'intero gioco, e nel farlo ci saranno molti filmati o tutorial non saltabili che rallenteranno di molto l'azione di gioco.
    a parte questa piccola cosa per allungare un prodotto che non necessitava di altre ore di gioco, per il resto il titolo è splendido sotto tutti i punti di vista, una sorpresa apparsa dal nulla che merita sicuramente una prova.

    The animation quality and art style are top notch. The gameplay is great. It takes some time to get used to the combat and rhythm, but once you get the swing of it, it becomes second nature. The dialogue is good and mostly fun, but with some cringy lines here and there. The soundtrack is a banger, with NIN and Black Keys. Really solid game.

    HFR is an entertaining and often times challenging game, it can be difficult hitting the button timing just right but when you do oh boy is it sweet, this game is an amalgamation of Devil May Cry, Jet Set Radio, and Guitar Hero! To put it simply it's a rhythm-based ARPG extravaganza! ROCK ON!

    It’s like DMC if it were a rhythm game, the music is all great, the comic book art style is gorgeous, and it actually has a good amount of heart and humor (which can be hit or miss, but I think it hits more than it misses, kinda like my own sense of timing). A great 8 hour game that’s very well paced and has a lot of replay value, since you’ll wanna come back and get those higher ranks.

Have you played the first half hour of the game? Then you have already gone through the entire gameplay loop. Apart from the nice boss battles, it is much of the same, all the time. While theHi-Fi Rush is a masterpiece of consistent artwork in every detail of the game. At the same time, the gameplay rests too much on the same elements and an old-fashioned way of implementing them. Have you played the first half hour of the game? Then you have already gone through the entire gameplay loop. Apart from the nice boss battles, it is much of the same, all the time. While the gameplay is addictive and the art style amazes you every time you enter a new area, the continuously repeating loop eventually gets in the way. Nevertheless, this is a game you dreamed about as a kid. It looks like the cartoons from your childhood. But this time you walk through it yourself!

    Funky game with a nice soundtrack & style.
    Some of the fights (or rather: fight waves) can be rather frustrating as suddenly at the end of it you very quickly have to perform certain rhythm patterns, and if you fail you have to do the whole wave again.

    This is a fun game featuring rhythm combat. The level design and system mechanism are as classic as a PS2 title, different from many contemporary AAA action games. No wonder so many players dislike it if they don’t like rhythm gaming and retro game style.

    another great game on gamepass! blown away they shadow dropped it, what else is xbox not showing us! solid combat that doesnt require you to use the music mechanic but it feels so good when you get it. music is pretty good especially the boss music. hope there is a plan for a longer more fleshed out sequel.

    Good game, no 10 out of 10, but solid. The animation style is cool, the music is banging, and the story is fun. The controls are a bit wonky and, on occasion, the rhythmic requirements are a bit of a hindrance. I really liked it though, 8/10.

    I'm going to get the bad out of the way first. I know the game is a rhythm-based combat game but I think the game would be better without it. I'm thinking this game could have played like a colorful cartoony version of God of War and it would have been fine. I say this because the game does not rely heavily on its musically combat to carry. Sure, you deal more damage when your attacks land on beat, but the timing is often generous and did not seem to make a lot of difference, as least on normal difficulty. I suspect the timing of your attacks will likely be more pertinent if you were to play on the harder difficulties.

    However, I also think when you must land an attack on beat is when the game is the most frustrating. You will need to "mimic" certain enemy attacks to parry them and you cannot screw up without having to start the rhythm-session over. Usually, these mechanics are locked to quick time events but the timing and sometimes pace of them are brutal. It's like having to start a song in Guitar Hero all over again if you miss a note.

    Besides this, the game is a lot of fun. Like I said, it doesn't feel necessary, but when you are landing attacks on beat, the combat is satisfying. There are plenty of visual and audio cues that aid this.

    The game is also pretty funny. It is not rated R, or even PG-13, but I liken to humor to that of your favorite SpongeBob episode. It has this great, Saturday morning cartoon vibe to it that is enjoyable.

    Lastly, the sound track is great too. I even looked up some of the OST on YouTube after I completed the game. It truly does make for great background music.    … Expand

    Game honestly reminds me why I got into gaming, and it's to have fun.
    And once you learn to play to the beat the game becomes loads of fun.
    If you play I highly recommend pushing passed the tutorial area the game picks up really quick after that.
    I believe this game deserves all the praise it's getting

    The soundtrack is a crucial component to the gameplay due to its rythm-based nature. It's also full of bangers that one is cerainly going to listen to outside of the game. Some of the songs might even land up in someones "favorite songs" list.

    The gameplay resembles that of Devil May Cry, although much simpler, where you are additionally encouraged to hit to the beat of the music. It is important to mention that hitting to the beat is not a requirement, but a way to stylize combat and maximize the damage output. Adding to that, the game offers companions with cooldowns that you can call upon to help with a specific enemy or puzzle. (e.g. breaking their shield, activating ventilation, ...) The bossfights are also exceptionally done and a true highlight of the game.

    Where the game falls flat however, is the enemy variety. There are specific enemy types that are intended to be countered by the companions that you call upon, but that is where the variety ends, everything else is a reskin.

    This is a game that I will always look back fondly upon due to its heartwarming nature. If you get the chance, there is no reason not to play it.    … Expand

Only negative is from the character korsica in the game with the worst bit of voice acting in a game ever, supposed to be a scottish accent but it is dreadful, how can you be a voice acter and so bad with an accent.

    It’s a hack and slash with a combination of platforming for the whole family. From the start, its presentation, its plot and even its controls say it all. Its playtime is perfect, and you can play it as many times as you want. However, the button-matching stages can be tedious if you struggle to keep up, as well as a couple of bosses whose mechanics are unclear during the battle. Otherwise, Hi-Fi Rush is just flawless.

    What you will remember about Hi-Fi Rush is just how charming it is. It’s so rare for a game from one of the major developers to take a creative risk, and Hi-Fi Rush does just that. Not only is the core of the game innovative, but the way each character is written takes a big risk of having people switch off before they develop and you grow to love them. I hope Hi-Fi Rush is incredibly successful. I hope it teaches the industry that creative innovation can also create profits, and we see more new and interesting ideas from the big boys in the future.
