Hello Neighbor 2 has a great idea at its core, and it works well overall. Its potential, however, seems limited and has possibly already been reached.

Hello Neighbor 2 is a stealth horror puzzle game that is tough to stomach. There is plenty of potential for it to be phenomenal. However, it sadly falls short. Moreover, the open world dilutes its approach and this was unfortunate. Furthermore, it fails to rectify many of the flaws found in its predecessor.

Hello Neighbor 2 is a game that features advanced game design, so it’s no wonder things turned out like this—it’s a difficult game to make especially for a small team. But if anything, I think it is a step in the right direction for the game’s inevitable sequel. There’s no doubt in my mind simply because it’s a better game than the first. If the team can figure out how to keep its solid level design and integrate challenges that tie in both the AI and the puzzles within the level, I think there’s a homerun to be had here. But until then, keeping tabs on your neighbours for a short while isn’t the worst thing you can do with your time.

Hello Neighbor 2, as for the first chapter, turns out to be a good idea but with many technical problems. The game is more than horror, but on multiple occasions it's just frustrating and repetitive. This second chapter unfortunately manages to bring improvements only in the graphics sector, remaining with a not very intelligent AI and a plot once again without a conclusion.

The AI of the stalking homeowners can be a bit off, sometimes you’re right in front of them, or on a wardrobe above them, and they’re oblivious to you. That feels like a backwards step. Gamepad controls can also be a little sticky some times, and more than once I was left frustrated as my character didn’t quite spring into life as I’d have liked when being chased in a panic. So all in, a decent if somewhat underwhelming game, with limited gameplay time to it.

Its better then the first game in almost every way the Art style makes this feel like an actual horror game while still keeping that Toy StoryIts better then the first game in almost every way the Art style makes this feel like an actual horror game while still keeping that Toy Story vibe from the first game and the gameplay is definitely an overall improvement especially since the puzzles have an actual logic behind them the story also feels like an actual story compared to the original game which just felt like theory bait

there is really only one major complaint its the AI which is awful and makes the game incredibly easy I mean halfway through I stopped even trying to be stealthy cause I could just escape the AI really easily with it not even being a challenge to escape

if you didn't like the 1st games full release but liked its original concept then you should try this since it feels like the devs were trying to go back to that but if you really did like the 1st games full release then you might not like this game
