    Brilliant return to the franchise with stunning visuals, great narrative and gameplay which will keep any Halo fan entertained for hours. Infinite also incorporates a new approach to the campaign as well as a few new mechanics which keeps the franchise fresh and innovative. Even though I don't consider myself a hardcore Halo fan I've loved every bit of this game and there is still a lotBrilliant return to the franchise with stunning visuals, great narrative and gameplay which will keep any Halo fan entertained for hours. Infinite also incorporates a new approach to the campaign as well as a few new mechanics which keeps the franchise fresh and innovative. Even though I don't consider myself a hardcore Halo fan I've loved every bit of this game and there is still a lot more to come, huge props to the developers for delivering!!… Expand

    Objectively speaking, Halo Infinite is definitely not a 0, but also not a 10 ... it's a good and fun game :)
    I give it an 8 out of 10

    And nobody can tell me it's a 0, I've played really bad games before XD

    Best Halo campaign since Reach in my opinion. Story is fresh, the setting is perfect, characters are emotionally engaging and interesting, soundtrack is amazing (sounds like a classic Halo game again). Gameplay is the best from the series so far. Honestly loving this game and I think it'll please Halo fans who have been waiting for a more "classic" feeling game all these years.

    Halo Infinite is a fresh return to the series roots with plenty of improvements that really make it feel like a successor to the original Halo trilogy. The gunplay is fantastic and feels fulfilling, the open world space is not just the backdrop to a few select hubs, but an actual living world that feels alive with squads and troops from both the Banished and the UNSC on patrol. EveryHalo Infinite is a fresh return to the series roots with plenty of improvements that really make it feel like a successor to the original Halo trilogy. The gunplay is fantastic and feels fulfilling, the open world space is not just the backdrop to a few select hubs, but an actual living world that feels alive with squads and troops from both the Banished and the UNSC on patrol. Every outpost and base captured is unique and has been designed to serve a tangible purpose and relate to the story (rather than a somewhat expected "You must capture X outposts for some arbitrary reason). The characters are solid and the Banished are a worthy successor as the enemy of Humanity and the Master Chief. The only issue I have with the Campaign is the apparent poor optimisation on the PC. I have a rig more than capable of running the game, however I get frames sometimes in the 30s on medium graphics.

    The multiplayer is a rough diamond, but the core of the experience is 10/10. Gunfights feel engaging, with the new equipment serving as a great way to raise the skill ceiling while keeping the skill floor relatively low. The maps are well-crafted and visually stunning, though the environments don't feel as varied as they could be. Fundamentally, it's a very fun experience and reminds me a lot of Halo 3, my personal favourite instalment of Halo multiplayer.

    My biggest gripe with Multiplayer, as is shared by many others, is the lack of options regarding game modes and playlists. Objective and Slayer are no longer separate playlists, which can be pretty frustrating if you just want to chill out and shoot the enemy team without worrying about playing the objective. The MTX implementation is also downright ridiculous and not very consumer-friendly, but it can easily be ignored without impacting the core experience of the gameplay.    … Expand

    This has to be my favorite halo since Reach or Halo 2 easily. The gunplay feels very good, movement is the best I've seen in Halo, it has the perfect pace. Not super slow like Halo 3, but not super fast like Halo 5. That's not even mentioning the campaign which took me 13 hours to complete on heroic, and it was a great campaign, the boss battles were very well done. 10/10

    Campaign and multilayer gameplay brilliant. Multilayer customisation and progression is terrible but the developers have shown a willingness to change this. Story is also good.

    Der Master Chief is BACK!!! Man muss es der Halo Franchise einfach lassen, dass Gameplay ist einfach eine 10/10. Es macht einfach unfassbar viel Spaß mit dem MC in der (langweiligen) Open World umherzulaufen. Ich hätte mir aber ein linearen Spielverlauf eher gewünscht.

    Great shooter! Master Chief returns. Many action!!! Master Chief in this game be like Slayer from Doom.
    Almost everything is good but marines slightly stupid and only one effective ability (grapple).
    Anyway this is great job 343i and multiplayer is amazing. ( but progression is bad)

    It's a solid '9' but upping to 10, to dilute some of the silly reviews. Judging the game purely on its own merits its a lot of fun in Campaign, but the multiplayer brings back the old Skool Quake3 feel that has been so sadly lacking in the years between. If you want a fun game you'll be hard pressed to find better.

    I usually dont come to metacritic to review games, but for this one I will. This game was a major let down. Maybe I was expecting too much, but this game is seriously boring. I was bored out of my mind after two hours. Thank god I could test it through game pass and not spend extra money on it.

    Even so i will give it a rating of 5. It is a high quality product, but it just did not fit my taste.

    Finally, a Halo worthy of its name. The Open world is stunning, the gunplay fantastic and the flow of the game just feels good. 343 finally got it right this time, and im all here for it. Definetily needs some optimization tho.

    It honestly is an 8.5/10 or 9/10 but I give it a 10/10 just because of the Campaign. 343i has finally made a worthy successor to Halo 3. The gameplay is an amazing modern evolution of traditional Halo. The Story starts off a bit slow, and requires some prior knowledge to Halo 5 but otherwise an amazing gripping story and the best they could've done with what they had and a lot of that isIt honestly is an 8.5/10 or 9/10 but I give it a 10/10 just because of the Campaign. 343i has finally made a worthy successor to Halo 3. The gameplay is an amazing modern evolution of traditional Halo. The Story starts off a bit slow, and requires some prior knowledge to Halo 5 but otherwise an amazing gripping story and the best they could've done with what they had and a lot of that is due to Joseph Staten, a Halo Vet and nerd in us all so we all kind of knew he was gonna create an amazing story.

    Other than that, the Multiplayer gets an 8/10, again amazing gameplay, but the biggest issue is the lack of content and horrible microtransactions blah blah blah, sorry feels like I'm being a dead horse but it is a major issue for others even if I have gotten over it already.

    So, I don't care if it doesn't have Forge or Co-op Campaign, I don't even care that it doesn't launch with mission select. What I care about is the story and gameplay content and whether it's fun or not and though yes it took 6ish years to develop they still had a lot of people come and go, meaning the game might as well have been handed off to an almost entirely new group of people. But they made a great decision in keeping some of the best Halo 5 guys and bringing back some Halo vets to make Halo Infinite at least to finish the (fight) product. So Thank's 343, you should be incredibly proud of what you've made. And here's to many more!    … Expand

    343 did a great job redirecting the Halo franchise onto a greater path with Infinite. Both the campaign and multiplayer are fantastic in their own right. The competitive scene is alive again and I'm truly excited to see what the future holds with Infinite.

    Amazing gunplay with multiplayer that feels true to the series.

    Blown away by the campaign. It was a bold move to do an open world campaign and 343 did a very good job. Kinda need to be caught up on halo to know what is going on, but besides that the twists and turns of the continuation of The Master Chiefs story is done well. Memorable characters and funny grunts.

    The campaign is unbelievably good. Easily the best since halo 3. The campaign is so good I would give this a 10/10, but it loses a point for the long list of issues with the monetization of the MP and lack of MP content.

    Astonishing game. The combat is absolutely on point and I genuinely have not played a better fps campaign. Can understand why maybe new players feel the story might be underwhelming but as someone who is heavily into the deep lore this is amazing. Everything I wanted and more.

    Note: I am reviewing this as I find it. If you want coop you may want to deduct a point but I am reviewing the    Astonishing game. The combat is absolutely on point and I genuinely have not played a better fps campaign. Can understand why maybe new players feel the story might be underwhelming but as someone who is heavily into the deep lore this is amazing. Everything I wanted and more.

My favorite part about this game is the gameplay, in specific, what I mean by this, is how some fights play out. for example, when I was fighting with Bassus, my way of playing was to get the sniper rifle, headshot him to get his shield down, and then stick him with grenades. not only this, but due to how fast he is, and the fact he uses melee, I also had to avoid his attacks, I did this by using the grapplehook to get away from his attacks each time I land a headshot this is what I mean by how this game makes you think outside the box.… Expand

La nuova componente open world non snatura assolutamente il titolo ed offre molte più possibilità al giocatore. Il comparto multiplayer free come sempre divertentissimo. Unica pecca il sistema diIl gunplay come sempre è eccezionale, divertente soprattutto in difficoltà eroico, un buon mix a cavallo tra "Arma, vieni con me se vuoi vivere" e "questi grunt escono dalle f*****e pareti!". La nuova componente open world non snatura assolutamente il titolo ed offre molte più possibilità al giocatore. Il comparto multiplayer free come sempre divertentissimo. Unica pecca il sistema di progressione della stagione e le ricompense quasi interamente a pagamento con il pass stagionale. Mi auguro inseriscano qualche ricompensa per i possessori di Gamepass.     Ждал эту игру очень давно. Ну и вот получил. Оценку ставлю только за кампанию. Отвратительно. Наиграл 15 часов и больше желания возвращаться в игру нет. Сюжет здесь для галочки. Никакого масштаба, как в том же Масс Эффект, никакой драмы, ни интересных твистов, ничего этого в игре нет. Стрельба конечно здесь классно реализована. Много видов оружия, каждое и визуально интересно смотрится,Ждал эту игру очень давно. Ну и вот получил. Оценку ставлю только за кампанию. Отвратительно. Наиграл 15 часов и больше желания возвращаться в игру нет. Сюжет здесь для галочки. Никакого масштаба, как в том же Масс Эффект, никакой драмы, ни интересных твистов, ничего этого в игре нет. Стрельба конечно здесь классно реализована. Много видов оружия, каждое и визуально интересно смотрится, так ещё и по отдаче интересно отличается. При этом боссов практически нет в игре. Очень часто вместо боссов, когда думаешь, восейчас будет битва, выступают просто галограммы. Разновидностей врагов тоже не много, отчего вся эта стрельба на десятом часу уже начинает надоедать. Открытый мир просто пустой. Кроме захвата аванпостов, в нем нечего делать. В нем абсолютно ничего не происходит. Один биом, много одинаковых камней, скал и ёлок. Физика в игре откровенно слабая. Попробуйте на вепре сломать даже маленькое деревце, неа, машина вообще ничего не ломает. Тоже самое с танком. Зачем было делать открытый мир, непонятно. Ну и забудьте про интересные побочные квесты. Понравилась стрельба, внедрение в геймплэй крюка. Ну и всё. Ах да, графика, она просто нормальная, ну на моем Xbox Series X не могу сказать, что уж слишком плоха. И да, на Xbox One игра идёт только в 30 ФПС, поэтому будьте к этому готовы.
    Скажу так, Doom Eternal на 2 головы выше Halo Infinite, благо что я по Геймпассу играл в Хэйло, а не покупал её.    … Expand

    Waiting six years for an intro making me quite disappointed. 343 just doesn't care to give the closure to reclaimer trilogy. I mean after halo 5 and halo wars 2, I expect to see blue team, red team , osiris, arbiter , spirit of fire and infinity fighting together against Cortana and banished. Instead they just keep bringing new enemy which we don't get to see in campaign.

    Great grounded story with a wonderful and perfect sized open world map. loved the option of having a traditional single player point to point halo campaign with the bonus of side objectives and missions. That is something fans of both style of games can enjoy and I'm very excited to see how 343 decides to expand this style of halo into the future. Every second playing I had the dumbest grin on my face. The combat loop, graphics, story, gameplay, score, controllers, and everything is so good. The game feels as if 343 took the first game and amped it up to 11 in every way.Quite literally the best Halo has ever been.     In my opinion its a good game but I give 2 all for Masterchief and Soundtracks, and I give low rate because the game is not complete, the motion captures of faces are no good and the graphics are low in most situations.
    This couldn't be Xbox Sign anymore
    Hope microsoft take more care about other IPs

    Halo infinite campaign : wonderful open world. fascinating story, great visuals, perfect audio. This game is an absolute masterpiece.

    The Story, The Gameplay, the movement, the campaign, and the multiplayer is awesome, but the progression and game store aren't quite there yet but changes are on the way. Thank you 343 for this amazing experience.

    Halo fue el primer juego que jugué en mi vida, me encanta como se dieron a conocer en el mundo. Con halo 4 en adelante perdieron un poco su esencia, pero con Halo infinite, recuperaron y renovaron toda su franquicia. Esta excelente la historia, los jefes, el explorar el mapa, el poder reclutar soldados. Es increíble este Halo

    Honestly, a step in the right direction for 343. Sucks that it didnt come out with forge, co-op, or firefight but, in terms of gameplay and story, this is very much Halo. would give a true score of 7.5/10 but people are just lambasting this game with zeros instead of a real score.

    If the open-world concept had been better utilized and if the writers had added more interesting characters to the story, Infinite could have easily been one of the best Halo games ever. The shootouts are highly entertaining and the open world brings new tactical possibilities. The multiplayer is just as good, being slightly faster than before. [Issue#317]

    Halo is back to its best with Halo Infinite, tight controls, and seriously thirst-quenching gunplay that feels so intuitively satisfying. Traversal has been improved hugely by the addition of the grappleshot, allowing Master Chief to zip around at speed, as well as adding a unique element for multiplayer matches. A particular dampener has to be directed at the online multiplayer, which is riddled with cheaters, but, if they were to be removed then the multiplayer offers a solid free-to-play experience that is fast and frantic. Halo Infinite, alongside a number of other Xbox first-party titles is a great addition to Xbox Game Pass, and it is certainly a marquee game that warrants a subscription to the service.
