    Huge improve from FH4. The new rewards system makes me enjoy the game with more accomplishment.

    The sound of engine and environment really impressed me.
    Can't wait for the expansion dlc being unveiled.

    É sensacional pra mim a grande evolução ta em como contar uma história dentro de um jogo de corrida. nós temos voz e os personagens são todos muito carismáticos. A sensação de estar dentro de uma aventura nas expedições é sempre algo que te deixa com vontade de ver mais. Forza hirizon 5 é excelente na sua proposta e com certeza com o mapa/mundo tão vivo quanto o anterior.

    This game is addicting, from the beautiful setting to the amazing sounds. You can tweak the settings to lean more towards arcade or sim racing. Even after over 50hrs spent playing in a little over a week, I still can't seem to get enough.

    Great Game for newcomers in the franchise, bad game for FH4 veterans.
    Don't get me wrong the game is great, has really good handling, nice graphics, superb sound, and a lot of cars and tracks since the beginning.
    But for everyone who has played more than 100 hours on FH4, this game feels like a copy-paste with a better map. After already 30hours I feel a lack of motivation I never had    Great Game for newcomers in the franchise, bad game for FH4 veterans.
    Don't get me wrong the game is great, has really good handling, nice graphics, superb sound, and a lot of cars and tracks since the beginning.
    But for everyone who has played more than 100 hours on FH4, this game feels like a copy-paste with a better map.
    After already 30hours I feel a lack of motivation I never had before in any Forza game. Because everything feels a lot like FH4.
    And then they are things which are unacceptable like no ranked online racing ??! I get that not everyone likes ranked racing, but give me at least the possibility!!! Even if I don’t gain a single credit, I would pass my time in ranked lobbies. Also, the Music playlists are mediocre, so either you offer a Spotify integration or make good radios like GTA Online.
    From a technical point of view a Great game, from an FH4 Veteran's point of view a Complete disappointment. And just for notice, I'm not a bad Forza player or anything like that I'm actually really fast, being in the top 1000 in every rival's Circuit with my best placement at 12th on Cathedral in S2 998.    … Expand

    One of the best (if not best) racing video games of all time. Phenomenal graphics (yes it actually looks better than 4). Over 500 solid cars. DeLorean, i think it even has this Knight Rider car, lots of Lambos, etc. Amazing huge map to drive around and have fun, story missions are nothing special, but they are there, if you get bored of driving around, good music (Hospital Records).

    I'm a casual gamer, I play after work when I get a chance to unwind and relax, Sure I play Battlefield, CoD, DBD, GTA V and many many more games, but not game is as peaceful and exilerating as Forza Horizon, The open world is INCREDIBLE,    I have been playing video games since Gran Turismo blew my mind away at a young age. You don't have to be a major gearhead to appreciate this game, although I LOVE tuning my cars just the way I want, It's seriously an amazing simulator for tuning, but this game can be appropriated by anyone of various skill levels, from Ultimate difficulty to Novice, every experience is fun and different but keeps you asking for more! I wasn't sure if the Forza Horizon "Feel" Would be worn out by now but it surely is NOT!

    I highly suggest trying it out on GamePass first before making a purchase if you are on the fence BUT After trying it on Gamepass you will either keep gamepass or 100% purchase the game! The add ons also are so worth it!

    The game has the ingredients to be the greatest installation of the Horizon franchise. Unfortunately the ingredients haven't finished cooking. Plagued with bugs and connectivity issues, achievements and accolades that simply won't register, hard crashes and inexcusable loading times especially with the hefty claims surrounding ding the new SSD in the Series X which is where I have beenThe game has the ingredients to be the greatest installation of the Horizon franchise. Unfortunately the ingredients haven't finished cooking. Plagued with bugs and connectivity issues, achievements and accolades that simply won't register, hard crashes and inexcusable loading times especially with the hefty claims surrounding ding the new SSD in the Series X which is where I have been playing. I will come back in time and hopefully up this to a more respectable rating but currently it is what it is, what we are coming to be used to receiving; half finished games that are sold at full price with the promise that they will finish their work while we suffer through.

    Update: after some bug fixes the game is more enjoyable and does deserve a higher score. I have moved from a 3 to a 6 but still a far cry from what the community is looking for. You only have to visit a forum or page dedicated to FH to instantly see the disdain held by it's own community. The addition of bland Chinese cars to blatantly appeal to a specific region rather than car enthusiasts just shows how out of touch the devs are and the omission of previously included classics makes the roadmap of this game a real head scratcher. I stand by the opinion that this is a game rushed out the door to avoid another Halo infinite embarrassment. The blind 10s on this page make me wonder if the people actually put any time into the game or are once again buying into the console wars.    … Expand

    Forza horizon 5 is the already the 5th installment in the spin off serie from forza motorsport and it is the best launch of an xbox game studio game.
    But is it better then the other games?

    Forza horizon 5 starts with an epic beginning mission where you jump out a plane must drive to certain locations. It is a perfect tutorial for the new gamer. After that you make your character and a license plate you do some races and you get your first house. Then you can d everything you want in the world. First you need to choose between road racing, dirt racing and offroad races. I chose for Horizon Apex (Road racing). You need to do an expedition. These are boring because making fotos is not fun. After some races you unlock story modes with missions. These are fun. You have also xp boards and fast travel boards. Some of them are easy to find but other ones are pretty hard.

    I also played a bit of the battle royale mode the eliminator. This is one of the most original things you can do in a racing game. In the other online modes you can race normally. The online mode is stable and fun.

    The graphics in the game are one of the best i heve ever seen. I played on performance mode and the graphics are still beautifull. It runs on locked 60 frames on performence and 30 on quality. The music is also nice except that there is a small amount of songs. Even the gta games on the ps2 have more music.

    The game looks a lot like Forza horizon 4 which is a little bit disappointing.
    But that doesn't make it bad. It is one of the best racing games i have ever played. If you want a new Forza horizon or you want to try a chill racing game, you should buy or download it with xbox game pass.

    I'm the big fan for the past FH game. But I feel disappointed on this series. Too many bug that cause me to stop playing the game after 4 Dec update. The developer fixing with more and more issue coming out in the game. Game crash frequently in my XSS, Season series bug which cause my accolades can't be complete, the seasonal roll back issue, the whole map now doesn't have much ppl likeI'm the big fan for the past FH game. But I feel disappointed on this series. Too many bug that cause me to stop playing the game after 4 Dec update. The developer fixing with more and more issue coming out in the game. A lot players already give up the game, there is no point to spend time on it now. Based on their performance, these fix can take at least half year from now.     No matter how many patches they roll out, FH4 has shown us all a simple fact. The game is utterly broken in many aspects that devs are unable to fix, be it due to incompetence or new generation of coders inability to make sense of all the twists of legacy code put on top of itself in a huge, ugly Frankenstein's monster. When they fix one thing, two more things break. They fix one of those two things - old thing they fixed breaks again. Etc, etc. It goes, and goes, until they arbitralily decide it will have to do, when in fact it won't do at all. Some bugs and crashes in FH5 go as far as FH4 release, and they are still here, and they are here to stay.

    That said, you won't get a better overall racing experience outside of actual simulators than from FH5. The game is just this big, racing feels just this good, and it gets better and better as you learn how to tune and drive. Sadly, there's just no competition. Not on PC. Forza Motorsport roots made sure modern NFS and Driveclub racing feels like junior karting in comparison, and Gran Turismo is kept as Play Station exclusive title.    … Expand

Took 5 months to add any freedom to competitive multiplayer, and the same nonsensical adventure modes are still used as a format. Motorsport Lobbies is a far superior system used in the Motorsport Series (was also in Forza Horizon 1). I don’t understand why they don’t use that instead of the current garbage systemThis game is a mess, and has completely turned me off the Horizon series. Forza Horizon 4 Mexican Expansion is what I would use to describe this game. The formula, the repetitive claustrophobic car classes, the festival playlist and adding cars as grind updates that were cut from launch that were in Forza Horizon 4. You also get everything handed to you. Koenigsegg’s and Ferraris within the first hour. No sense of progression. What made the first horizon game the greatest title was the fact you had a story mode, bosses and started out with a slow car and had to work your way to becoming Horizon Champion. Horizon 5 is racing for the sake of racing rather than achieving anything. Add in the fact this game feels like a game made for 5 year old children. It’s silly. Give the game to developers who care. They had an extra year to develop the game but instead it’s rehash of 4 (which in itself is a very flawed game) with far less innovation and no identity. How this game gets positive reviews from critics amazes me. If the Horizon series is to ever improve and leave how downhill it has gone, return to the aspects that made the first horizon a great game. Bring back lobbies, add a long cohesive story, give me a reason to race rather than grind, don’t hand everything to the player and make them unlock cars etc. Horizon 5 is a sheer disappointment, and I won’t be buying 6 if looks anything close to 5.… Expand

    One of the best games this year, amazing graphics, Mexico is glorious, the sound, the views, the cars. Job well done for the devs. I hope we see more from this developers and this forza engine. Hours and hours of entertainment ahead.

    the most powerful console compared to the XBOX series

    That aside, despite claims that it's the best racing game ever, in my opinion it's not even the best *Horizon* ever. The series started getting a bit lost with FH4, and the latest instalment has continued the decline; there's no sense of progression or achievement at all, the single player campaign is short, easy, boring, and eye-wateringly embarrassingly written, and the game throws out free cars and cash with reckless abandon so that what should be a reason for celebration - winning enough races or getting enough cash together to finally grab that awesome car - becomes a monotonous sense of "oh, great, another car I'm never going to use to add to the 400 I already have".

    If online worked it would be OK, but it's broken as heck at the moment and despite several patches and hotfixes it's still very much a case of hoping it remains stable long enough for you to do whatever you need to do.

    My advice, play FH3 - it's probably the series' peak, and there's an updated version for One X (and by extension Series S | X).    … Expand

    Playground Games has nailed its fictional representation of Mexico, while delivering a magnificent experience that both doubles down on what the previous entries had already mastered, and delivers on what they lacked. This is the best open world racing experience you'll ever find.

    Also, for those kids that are giving 0s and 1s, we know you didn't played the game, we know you are just a Playstation fanboy that didn't accept the fact that xbox has one of the best game franchises.     * Quests to win cars and other stuff. * Over 500 cars perfectly modelled outside and inside. * Huge system for modding engines/car and looks. * Singleplayer OR multiplayer for those who like that. And last but no least: * The absolute best graphic presentation of any game ever    This is the BEST arcade racer ever made. No contest.
    * Huge map full of lots of varied terrain and races.

    C'est le GOTY 2021. Graphiquement c'est le jeu le plus beau. On joue et on voit pas passer les heures, il y a du contenu infini, plein de choses à faire. Ce jeu est incroyable et Playground nous a sorti le meilleur jeu de cette année. Génial.

    It’s hard to feel the car weight in this game, it’s like a plastic toy. Open world is redundant, there is almost nothing to do in it.
    I see no point in having so many cars in this game, many of them differ only visually. Gameplay is boring, it has nothing special. Music is garbage. So it’s better to go play some other driving games like F1 or Grid, which are the best racing games    Boring.

    Le premier jeu qui me donne une claque next gen. Mais qu'est ce que c'est beau. C'est magnifique graphiquement. Techniquement c'est super fluide. Profondeur de champs lointain, on voit très loin. Niveau gameplay c'est vraiment fun, un vrai plaisir. On retrouve l'esprit des Forza horizon avec des nouveautés et la puissance de la console en plus. Il y a plein de choses à faire, on s'ennuieLe premier jeu qui me donne une claque next gen. Mais qu'est ce que c'est beau. C'est magnifique graphiquement. Techniquement c'est super fluide.     So many bugs you can not play the game. This is barely an expansion to FH4. It is not a new farm. This is like a yearly FIFA release. It's terrible.

Playstation has literally zero games until February 18, 2022.Great game.     In return playground games have managed to downgrade the following severely:
    Progression has turned into something you only consider for a week or so thanks to the needlessly fast festival expansions that do not let you take a break and get distracted with something else

    The star card and its very exclusive rewards have been replaced with accolades which have nothing cool to offer as an endgame goal

    Activity level ups have disappeared making for very unrewarding progression across activities, without accolades having much to offer to compensate either

    Map variety has taken just as much of an improvement as it can taken a hit,forza horizon 4 had proper winters with snow throughout all of the map
    some considered it excessive, instead of a fix, playground games just deleted snow altogether besides for the top of the volcano which has too little for it to be wortwhile and I doubt snow will make a return through dlc

    I wish people knew better and just called **** every time but instead what we got is the lobotomites at ign calling this game game of the year,even while considering it is objectively worse compared to other games that have come out this year, is even in quality if not worse compared to fh4

    This game is not worth the purchase over fh4,as boring as that game can be you won't get much enjoyment from playing fh5 instead

    I am leaving this review with 0 stars solely because of how overrated this game is,this should not be anywhere as high on ratings as it is at the moment    … Expand

    Horribly boring. Next series of car will suck and still missing tons of high performing cars from Fh4. At it's time of release, 4 was a much bigger achievement. They nerfed the rewards, game still has many flaws/glitches and virtually no realistic physics. Whatever you do, don't pay for this. There's a reason PC players gives it a 6.8 here.

    No I dont whant the nexte Forza Games in ah other country that has some new cars but lots of the same cars that has not changes at all since Forza horizon 2!

    And i think the hear the gamers that play since the 1 forza!

    At stop, the game looks well, but from then on you start you vehicule, every object of the landscape is blurry and not well texturized. Tried it on both Xbox Series X and 3080 RTX high end PC, gorgeous on both and very smooth. Only frozen once on PC in 10 hours of playing, but not a minus point as a very rare occurrence.

That being said, I've had a lot of fun with Forza Horizon 5. The sheer number of events and activities makes the game very accessible, even to people like me that don't play this genre.

    The graphics are pretty amazing on    Full disclosure, I am not a fan of racing/driving games. At all. The sheer number of events and activities makes the game very accessible, even to people like me that don't play this genre.

    The graphics are pretty amazing on Xbox Series X and the gameplay is both varied and engaging. As you can simply drive through the open world, it's not uncommon to find a new event pop up or one of the many 'bonus boards' hidden near the road. There's also just A LOT of ground to cover. A full circuit around the playable area, driving at about 160-180MPH, takes just over 15 minutes of real-time. That doesn't even touch all the area inside that. The number of environments is great and they all look spectacular.

    Other reviewers better cover what's right with this game. So here are the faults I found personally:

    -Lots of microtransactions; car passes, VIP membership, treasure map unlocks, season passes...they are all here and nearly double the MSRP of the game.

    -AI blatantly cheats, especially at higher levels. Frustrating to watch a drag race where all drivers have the exact same vehicle, yet the 10-11 AI drivers all uniformly pull away from the player.

    -Some modes are broken. The Forzathon shop flat-out does not work. Horizon Arcade mode works, but either needs its goals tuned down or some other way to get players working together.

    -The game has a few technical issues, though I am not too fussed about those since it's so new. Still, being disconnected from the server because I am watching a mandatory cut scene is frustrating.

    -The game is in dire need of a better tutorial. So many things are not explained, or get only a passing mention. Something that goes in-depth on car types, upgrades, controls, and how various season events work would have been extremely helpful.

    Regardless of those gripes, I still recommend that you give this one a test drive. It's one of those games that raises the bar in general for games.    … Expand

    The game keeps you entertained at every corner. I find miself taking for ever to reach to the next race because there are so many activities along the way that times fly by.

    More of the same, but still at the top of open world racing class, with nothing coming close. After playing FH4 this year, the core game is just too samey, and the graphics didnt take that big of a leap that I thought it would (it looks very similar to FH4). Still great, just dont expect anything mindblowing if you have played FH before.

    FH5 is another great driving game. Very similar to FH4, but with a few small changes.

    I think some of the menues for seasonal things to do are a bit messy, & confusing, but besides that it seems great.

    Fantastic racer by MS! Good job for Xbox studios for putting out quality. Where NFS failed, FH5 makes up. Totally worth a play with friends. I've played racers since 2000 and FH5 is in the top 3 for me. The game is up there with NFS MW 2005 and MC3. It's exceptional in every category and brings the best of open world racing to the 2020s. Congratulations to MS

    Unsure what some of the reviewers here were expecting regards to the similarities with FH4. There are similar aspects (it is a driving game) and as one of the most successful driving games ever, they would be foolish not to use the same blueprint. Mexico is more varied then the UK in its environments and there are some cool set pieces. Sure some of the non-driving interactions are a bit hammy, and I dislike being referred to as "superstar" (I never reached level 200 in FH4) - but you are here for having fun in a driving experience which is as authentic or arcadey as you wish.
    There must be hundreds of hours of gameplay here, along with the weekly events which playground will bring in, and the DLC when it drops. Especially on game pass this is great value for your money.    … Expand

    Es el Forza Horizon mas entretenido y basto hasta la fecha, sin duda un imprescindible para cualquier jugador. No puedo mas que agradecer a Playground Games de algo tan increíblemente hermoso.

    Very good game, my only criticism is I’ve played pretty much all these Forza games and there starting to get a bit repetitive, apart from the obvious graphics improvement on the X, there’s not that much difference to the last entry in the series, still a very very good game, but even better if you’ve never played Forza before.

    Absolutely fantastic and the best racing game of all time in my opinion. This is a serious contender for Game of the Year depending on how well Halo Infinite does. The small amount of people literally giving it a "0" are obvious Sony fanboys or trolls of other sorts.

    Playground games did it again! FH is the only franchise where I always preorder. I have always been more than satisfied.
    I am happy to support with full price premium edition.

    Forza Horizon 5 é uma fantástica evolução de seu antecessor trazendo tudo que deu certo na série, com um festival maior e com muita coisa divertida pra fazer
    Graficamente impecável, a jogabilidade continua ótima e o sistema de recompensa melhorado
    Peca um pouco no online em seu lançamento mas isso pode ser corrigido com atualizações, as inovações são simples porem satisfatórias

    As for the review bombers like PuertoRock, she stated that AllStar Destruction was her GOTY. If Sony gifted Puerto a care package of poop with the Sony logo on it, he would say it's a rating of 10 and GOTY. This is how pathetic this Sony meat flutist is.
