    worse than its predecessors, reading content missing from the game that was already in previous titles and selling it as "new" content
    had a good foundation but a new game wasn't really necessary could've just updated the old one

    Pretty boring game for a diehard racing fan. Loses its appeal very quickly. A real shame. Had high hopes.

    I desperately want to give this an 8 or 9 out of 10, but the bugs are a huge issue. The games flow will get a little old pretty quickly, but that's okay! There's lots to do so if you find a niche you love, you'll be okay. The really frustrating part is that one of the things intended to keep the game fresh - the Festival Playlist - often features broken challenges that don't unlockI desperately want to give this an 8 or 9 out of 10, but the bugs are a huge issue. The games flow will get a little old pretty quickly, but that's okay! There's lots to do so if you find a niche you love, you'll be okay. The really frustrating part is that one of the things intended to keep the game fresh - the Festival Playlist - often features broken challenges that don't unlock properly. This means a lot of time is wasted repeating something multiple times trying to get the rewards you've earned.

    Worse yet, some challenges appear so bugged you simply may not be able to complete them, wasting more time. And this is outside of the day to day bugs that pop up all the time - areas loading with no textures, LOOONG "Loading" screens, freezing or crashing on start up, etc.

    If the bugs are fixed and challenges start providing rewards properly, it'll be more fun and I'd raise my rating. Until then, it's as much a frustrating waste of time as it is a fun racing game, and that's a bummer.    … Expand

    The Game feels like a **** cashgrab made to fund the Next **** cashgrab,horrible at best,infuriating at worst ,all cars feel the same ,but x car has a little bit more grip than y car or has more power.

    To see praise heaped upon this failure is an insult to the games that came before. There are many cars missing from previous instalments (Abarth, Alfa Romeo), the handling (at least on a wheel) feels floaty and unresponsive. There are numerous bugs that frequently ruin the experience, the auction house is now a luck    Long story short I've uninstalled this game to play more forza horizon 4

The characters that talk to you are cringey and intrusive. Frequently interrupting you with what feels like 'mandated fun' where I'd prefer to just drive. I loved the previous games and I have had my fun ruined at every turn during this one. Does not deserve the praise it received from the so called 'professional critics'    … Expand

    I'm the big fan for the past FH game. But I feel disappointed on this series. Too many bug that cause me to stop playing the game after 4 Dec update. The developer fixing with more and more issue coming out in the game. Game crash frequently in my XSS, Season series bug which cause my accolades can't be complete, the seasonal roll back issue, the whole map now doesn't have much ppl likeI'm the big fan for the past FH game. Developer took too long to fix the issue which cause the game cooling down now, and those issue are really critical to most player. A lot players already give up the game, there is no point to spend time on it now. Based on their performance, these fix can take at least half year from now. I full purchase the game with Premium access and get a new console purposely for this game, but getting suck in the end.… Expand

Took 5 months to add any freedom to competitive multiplayer, and the same nonsensical adventure modes are still used as a format. Motorsport Lobbies is a far superior system used in the Motorsport Series (was also in Forza Horizon 1). I don’t understand why they don’t use that instead of the current garbage systemThis game is a mess, and has completely turned me off the Horizon series. Forza Horizon 4 Mexican Expansion is what I would use to describe this game. The formula, the repetitive claustrophobic car classes, the festival playlist and adding cars as grind updates that were cut from launch that were in Forza Horizon 4. You also get everything handed to you. Koenigsegg’s and Ferraris within the first hour. No sense of progression. What made the first horizon game the greatest title was the fact you had a story mode, bosses and started out with a slow car and had to work your way to becoming Horizon Champion. Horizon 5 is racing for the sake of racing rather than achieving anything. Add in the fact this game feels like a game made for 5 year old children. It’s silly. Give the game to developers who care. They had an extra year to develop the game but instead it’s rehash of 4 (which in itself is a very flawed game) with far less innovation and no identity. How this game gets positive reviews from critics amazes me. If the Horizon series is to ever improve and leave how downhill it has gone, return to the aspects that made the first horizon a great game. Bring back lobbies, add a long cohesive story, give me a reason to race rather than grind, don’t hand everything to the player and make them unlock cars etc. Horizon 5 is a sheer disappointment, and I won’t be buying 6 if looks anything close to 5.… Expand

    Playstation is not off the hook either, TLOU 2 simply

    with the disaster of rigged votes for GOTY awards is
    another issue Neil **** needs to learn alongside his
    playstation buddies. Sack Boy and ratchet and clank are
    both mid GOT is a masterpiece but on the wrong console
    after competing with LGBTQ Simulator. Ps5 is not even
    the most powerful console compared to the XBOX series
    X, this is where u get a pc for these games no bull****

    That aside, despite claims that it's the best racing game ever, in my opinion it's not even the best *Horizon* ever. The series started getting a bit lost with FH4, and the latest instalment has continued the decline; there's no sense of progression or achievement at all, the single player campaign is short, easy, boring, and eye-wateringly embarrassingly written, and the game throws out free cars and cash with reckless abandon so that what should be a reason for celebration - winning enough races or getting enough cash together to finally grab that awesome car - becomes a monotonous sense of "oh, great, another car I'm never going to use to add to the 400 I already have".

    If online worked it would be OK, but it's broken as heck at the moment and despite several patches and hotfixes it's still very much a case of hoping it remains stable long enough for you to do whatever you need to do.

    My advice, play FH3 - it's probably the series' peak, and there's an updated version for One X (and by extension Series S | X).    … Expand

    I see no point in having so many cars in this game, many of them differ only visually. Gameplay is boring, it has nothing special. Music is garbage. So it’s better to go play some other driving games like F1 or Grid, which are the best racing games    Boring.

    Progression has turned into something you only consider for a week or so thanks to the needlessly fast festival expansions that do not let you take a break and get distracted with something else

    The star card and its very exclusive rewards have been replaced with accolades which have nothing cool to offer as an endgame goal

    Activity level ups have disappeared making for very unrewarding progression across activities, without accolades having much to offer to compensate either

    Map variety has taken just as much of an improvement as it can taken a hit,forza horizon 4 had proper winters with snow throughout all of the map
    some considered it excessive, instead of a fix, playground games just deleted snow altogether besides for the top of the volcano which has too little for it to be wortwhile and I doubt snow will make a return through dlc

    I wish people knew better and just called **** every time but instead what we got is the lobotomites at ign calling this game game of the year,even while considering it is objectively worse compared to other games that have come out this year, is even in quality if not worse compared to fh4

    This game is not worth the purchase over fh4,as boring as that game can be you won't get much enjoyment from playing fh5 instead

    I am leaving this review with 0 stars solely because of how overrated this game is,this should not be anywhere as high on ratings as it is at the moment    … Expand

    Horribly boring. Next series of car will suck and still missing tons of high performing cars from Fh4. At it's time of release, 4 was a much bigger achievement. They nerfed the rewards, game still has many flaws/glitches and virtually no realistic physics. Whatever you do, don't pay for this. There's a reason PC players gives it a 6.8 here.

    No I dont whant the nexte Forza Games in ah other country that has some new cars but lots of the same cars that has not changes at all since Forza horizon 2!

    And i think the hear the gamers that play since the 1 forza!

    At stop, the game looks well, but from then on you start you vehicule, every object of the landscape is blurry and not well texturized.     It's literally a bad copy from all previous titles. The map is mostly empty wasteland combined from all previous FH series and FH4 Fortune Island DLC, the accolades system is from FH4 Lego DLC. The driving physics which used to be a simcade is now like a Sega arcade which is a bad combination of FH&FM. Although they have copied all they could from previous titles yet the game is a bugfestIt's literally a bad copy from all previous titles. The map is mostly empty wasteland combined from all previous FH series and FH4 Fortune Island DLC, the accolades system is from FH4 Lego DLC. The driving physics which used to be a simcade is now like a Sega arcade which is a bad combination of FH&FM. Although they have copied all they could from previous titles yet the game is a bugfest which the multiplayer doesn't work. Impossible to play with friends in a convoy. Freeroam is empty.     1. Some events are buggy, you are not able to complete those specific task in order to reach your weekly points. 2. CRASHES! Yeah this games like to crash, you might not even have to drive the car to a tree or a wall to get it crash, the    I honestly think that FH4 is way better than FH5. Not to say this is a fact but it is the reality. Why?
    Here's my experience of playing this game.

    1. Some events are buggy, you are not able to complete those specific task in order to reach your weekly points.
    2. CRASHES! Yeah this games like to crash, you might not even have to drive the car to a tree or a wall to get it crash, the game simply crashes by itself.
    3. Disconnects. You are driving around convoy with friends and all of the sudden your friend fades away. Which is not worst that attempting to join a race with convoy and being left out because you're the only one got disconnected and not them.
    4. The visuals also disappointed me, if you have a yellow car, you can see from the garage and while you're driving under the sun, the yellow color starts to washed out.

    To be honest as a game that are being anticipated, the game is also broken. But i am not saying that FH is a bad game, but the game was made poorly to be bad in the first place. I never had a thought that i will be returning back to FH4 but seems how bad the FH5 was made, I have made the decision to play around back in FH4.

    Same game as Forza Horizon 4. Not sure what all the hype is about. Played for 30 minutes realized there is nothing new. At least in sports games they update the rosters every year.

    Same as 4 but with cacti. Driving mechanics have been dumbed down and it's not different enough to warrant buying it. I've only given it a 3 because its on gamepass.

    The game deletes itself. Seriously, it's programmed to delete itself in a variety of scenarios. At least Grand Theft Auto, Cyberpunk, and Diablo 2 had the decency to not auto delete themselves.

    It is Forza Horizon 4 but with bigger map and few more cars - surprise surprise. Still has the same crap and broken AI that ruins most of the races on PRO/Unbeaten difficulty. Definitely an easy cash grab with a ton of new inexperienced in Forza games players from game pass.

    The games progression is way too fast which makes the fun part of the game too short, there also is a lot of change in quality of the car models some of them are good some are reused models from FM5 (Silvia S15 for example). They also try to expand the games lifespan by missing out on cars from fh4 or fh3 and later adding them back in with the same model and everything just to have content.

    The balance is way out of whack. Any car that's remotely decent is hugely overpriced, and there's very few decent/competitive cars out there.

    I'm not a big fan of the progression either, constant wheel spins and free cars trivialises buying new cars and earning them yourself. And when you have an X rated car in the first minute it makes it hard to go back to the slow mo cars. If this isn't in the Forza spirit, it would be great to see it in another game...eg where you start out racing in a civic rental and SLOWLY save up and progress up the ladder to better and better cars.    … Expand

AI drivers don't slip or slide, whilst every car i've driven, not only feels almost identical to drive, they also feel like i'm constantly trying to drive on ice. For myself it the constant "controller disconnect" issues. Any time I try to use my Logitech G923 I instantly get a "controller disconnected please connect a controller" message.     Parlons des bugs et ils sont nombreux, freeze trop souvent, le jeu fige et se ferme tous seul toute les 5 à 20 minutes (aléatoire), une erreur bizarre que j'ai eu certes que 3 fois mais qui parlais d'une violation d'accès à la mémoire, plante ou fige pendant le lancement d'épreuve, IA complètement cheaté et sur un rail (et encore une proto du mans tiens moins la route en réel mdr) et c'est pas fini mais je vous laisse en découvrir par vous même histoire que vous rigoliez ^^.    … Expand

    Disgusting system of bans. I have heard more than once that people are banned for designs forever (more precisely, until 9999). A person bought the game for a lot of money, and you just ban him forever. Can't you at least give a warning? Is it difficult to add design moderation so that banned designs are not published?     The graphics even on the series x are good only in quality mode, but why only 30 fps?     The only thing I can praise the developers for is the map, it is very interesting and well thought out, it is a pleasure to drive on it. Well, the sounds, yes, they worked on them. The graphics have been noticeably tightened, but the optimization is terrible, especially on consoles. But the recipe for a good game is not only in a good map, sounds and graphics (and then the graphics are good only on a top PC).
    You can list the disadvantages of the game for a long time, there are a lot of them. I played horizon 2 with time and was a fan of the series, but now it's a complete disappointment. I was hoping that you would improve in this part, but it didn't happen. The game has rolled into the trash. Developers are only busy counting money and it's terrible. I didn't want to give the game 0 points, but I'm very offended. That's when you start fixing the game, then I will gradually correct my score to a higher one. I've read through all guides, done all the things. I have 3 different PCs that I've tried it on, they all have the same error.     My friends have trouble opening the game, not to mention that this game is basically supercar simulator. If you are Nine or a supercar fan that loves recycled campaign you will love this game, however if you are not a supercar fan or wanted a new interesting car game, this my friend, is not it.

    Copy Forza Horizon 4 folder, rename to Forza Horizon 5, sell for insane price. Very disappointed.

    I’ve seen more bugs than solid graphics. I hit a train and the car flew and the train disappeared. And don’t get me started on the cheap vegetation

    Игра калл, Forza Horizon 2/3/4 на новой карте, игра лагает, вылетает, жрёт очень много оперативной и видеопамяти, выдает графические артефакты в виде окантовки цветных пикселов вокруг растительности и других текстур, черные дороги и черная земля,непонятные черные отражения на дорогах, игра работает нестабильно, т.е на оптимизацию для ПК ( большинства ) забили. Ужасный онлайн, на котором в принципе завязана вся игра, дисконнекты и мало игроков в сессиях которые к тому же пропадают. Баги в режиме Вышибала. Большинство машин перекочевали из FH2/3 с ужасными низкополигональными днищами пиксельного качества, у внедорожников, даже у новинок в FH5 ужасно прорисованные днища машин, колеса поворачиваются неведомым механизмом, подвеска вообще деревянная и сделана для галочки, колеса крутятся отдельно от всей подвески, это я говорю как дипломированный автомеханик, который понимает как это работает, возьмем в сравнение тот же SnowRunner, там потрясающая прорисовка подвески и её работа.    … Expand

    Just a visually enhanced reskin of the previous Horizon entry. Great game for about 48 hours of playtime, beyond that it’s not worth your time.

    The optimization is absolutely horrendous for PC at max settings. And that RT is laughable lmao even when it’s in photomode it’s trash. Learn from Insomniac!!

    Forza Horizon 5 is one of the best games of the year and starts the discussion on whether a racing title like this one could be GOTY. It stands out from the rest of similar games, both in terms of technical and gameplay aspects.
