    All these low reviews are to do with company practices, or not enough of an upgrade. Mine is just a simple game score. This was my first Forza, I got this with the Series X console. It's floaty and horrible. Most lousy controls imaginable. It couldn't feel less like driving if it tried.

Mine is just a simple game score. This was my first Forza, I got this with the Series X console. It's floaty and horrible. Most lousy controls imaginable. It couldn't feel less like driving if it tried.

    People go on about arcade racers and kart racers being just that but in reality riding a witches back in Gensou Skydrift feels more car like than this, as does Mario Kart, Hot Wheels. A lot of kart racers feel closer to driving than the ones trying to be driving games.

    If you played prior Forza's like 3/2 or even Forza Horizon 1, you can notice the DOWNFALL of Forza 5. Its boring, a huge map with NOTGHING to do, tracks are really, really easy to drive and achievements, no one. You feel like a kid receiving a dopamine "boost" buying car after car, the same models with another skin, sometimes! And I'm not talking about the gender identity inside the gameIf you played prior Forza's like 3/2 or even Forza Horizon 1, you can notice the DOWNFALL of Forza 5.     While the vehicles and racing game play is great. The game suffers from some eye rolling inclusion and side characters that are very unlike able.
    You are forced to watch cutscenes with ugly characters and cringe dialogue you cannot skip, in a racing game.

    This game would have been perfectly able to satisfy the core audience as well as the casual players, instead they decided to focus on the casual side of things. This is a lackluster copy paste from FH4, besides the map which is the best map PG has ever created, it is a game that was only good for around 1/6 of the playtime i put into FH3 and 4. They ruined the chill online freeroamingThis game would have been perfectly able to satisfy the core audience as well as the casual players, instead they decided to focus on the casual side of things. They ruined the chill online freeroaming experience which allowed me to share my passion for cars with perfect strangers. Everything revolves around their events which are quite bad. The release was catastrophic and really put this publisher in a new light, they made their priorities clear and i will never trust them again with a d1 purchase. Engine sounds are quite bad, tuning was only marginally improved and the radio was censored in a way that is very uncommon for the western world. Where they trying to please some dictatorship?     Graphically underwhelming for a "next gen" console seller. Actually underwhelming all around. How can you have a racing game with an everybody's a winner attitude? Also the whole push for inclusion is nice but it's borderline cringy. At least it's a fun and upbeat game but I'd personally take Midnight club over this any day

    There is absolutely zero new stuff added when compared to FH4 or even FH3. The only thing that's different is the upgraded graphics and improved car sounds. Most of the cars drive the same with zero difference to the handling. The story is trash. It doesn't motivate the player to explore anything    This is a great driving experience with stunning visuals.

    There is absolutely zero new stuff added when compared to FH4 or even FH3. The only thing that's different is the upgraded graphics and improved car sounds.

    Most of the cars drive the same with zero difference to the handling.

    The story is trash. It doesn't motivate the player to explore anything as you already start with "everything" as a special person on the festival.

    The worst thing about this game is the progression system. In less than 5 hours of playing you can get a great car and loose all the motivation to unlock other cars.

    The map is diverse and in some places detailed but still really empty and it can get boring very quickly as it's not big.

    Forza Horizon 5 is not a great game. Stop giving it 10's and 9's only based on its looks.    … Expand

    It's a buggy mess that caters to children. While FH2 and 3 made the game more kid friendly there was still a challenge to the game. However 4 and especially 5 is just too easy and simplified.

    Forza horizon 5 is forza horizon 4 on steroids, better driving feel, better graphics obviously. The only issue I had was some bugs here and there.

Now imagine that you have a bunch of people using physical guides to help them drive the car properly against people who are literally every aspect of the cars own stability and handling, this causes a massive Gap in the playing field with the people who have digital assists beating the living snot out of people who have actual skill and post record Times without any assistance from the computer. It's kind of a crappy feeling when you've been playing racing games your entire life and are known for being exceedingly good at them and then some 5-year-old kid comes and beats you because he's got Mario Kart physics turned on.     But the cringe dialogs and amount of woke/pc/progressive political **** put here is just off-putting. It's a car racing game! NOT a political statement.

    After playing this game for about 4 months, while the presentation, gameplay, and controls are great, I am disappointed by the sheer lack of content, poor progression system, poor post launch support from Microsoft and Playground games, and the egregious microtransactions and paid DLC for certain cars. The lack of content is clearly highlighted by the selection of cars that get rewarded toAfter playing this game for about 4 months, while the presentation, gameplay, and controls are great, I am disappointed by the sheer lack of content, poor progression system, poor post launch support from Microsoft and Playground games, and the egregious microtransactions and paid DLC for certain cars. The lack of content is clearly highlighted by the selection of cars that get rewarded to players, and these cars mostly consist of ones that are either already sold in the auto show, or taken out of the game after Horizon 4 and rebadged as “new” or “valueable” cars. On top of this, nearly 200 of the cars in Horizon 5 are locked behind paid DLC. And before anyone comes up with the “it’s on Game Pass” argument, you have to consider how progression works in the game. Right from the start, you are practically handed supercars with no challenge or progression in mind. In previous games, you had to work hard to earn these cars, and when you finally earned them, it felt far more rewarding. The credit system has gotten so hyperinflated that a million credits means practically nothing anymore.

    The music selection also sucks and pales in comparison to the earlier games. Spotify integration would have been nice.    … Expand

    I already thought Horizon 4 had a more fun map, but Horizon 5 is getting worse and worse. Now you can't even grind skillpoints and get wheelspins from cheap cars. Arcade is also much less fun than Forzathon Live. Weekly challenges require rather specific cars, which is unnecessarily difficult to do. It shouldn't be so hard to make a new map, add some new cars and maybe outfits andI already thought Horizon 4 had a more fun map, but Horizon 5 is getting worse and worse. The formula, the repetitive claustrophobic car classes, the festival playlist and adding cars as grind updates that were cut from launch that were in Forza Horizon 4. You also get everything handed to you. Koenigsegg’s and Ferraris within the first hour. No sense of progression. What made the first horizon game the greatest title was the fact you had a story mode, bosses and started out with a slow car and had to work your way to becoming Horizon Champion. Horizon 5 is racing for the sake of racing rather than achieving anything. Add in the fact this game feels like a game made for 5 year old children. It’s silly. Give the game to developers who care. They had an extra year to develop the game but instead it’s rehash of 4 (which in itself is a very flawed game) with far less innovation and no identity. How this game gets positive reviews from critics amazes me. If the Horizon series is to ever improve and leave how downhill it has gone, return to the aspects that made the first horizon a great game. Bring back lobbies, add a long cohesive story, give me a reason to race rather than grind, don’t hand everything to the player and make them unlock cars etc. Horizon 5 is a sheer disappointment, and I won’t be buying 6 if looks anything close to 5.… Expand

    The computer is broken, the nerfed wheel spins makes it harder to get anything of value in the game, the fact that I’ve played Unbeatable on FH3 and could win by driving correctly but not being the case in FH5…..     Try so hard to like this game. Boring gameplay, all the cars feel the same, the game just chenge the audio for every car and nothing more, I know it is just an arcade but there is no challenge at all. I like more the need for speed series or burnout
