Le jeu traine les défauts obsolètes des Dark Souls qu'il aurait été bien inspiré de laisser de côté. La narration et la direction artistique maîtrisées ne rattrapent pas les défauts primaires du jeu.

I am aiming to give a fair review because I feel a ton of the reviews have been inflated and are not living in reality. The Lore falls short and flat compared to its siblings of Dark Souls and Bloodborne but makes up for it for the fresh attempt. I am writing it a 7 for the boring first few hours of the game. It really does pick up near the end of the game but it is not a masterpiece by any means. It is good, not great and not perfect. But a very solid game that deserves love and should be open to criticism. Expand

Lack of content. FROMSOFTWARE has managed to "Call of Duty" -ify dark souls. It's rinse and repeat. Take out the open world and you have dark souls. Open world fails in a game that was originally designed to be a linear gameplay. I wish they took notes from Breath Of The Wild and saw what did not work.

Elden Ring is a good game, but that's it. Its dated as F! In fact it brought back memories of Dragons Lair for me. Move left - swing sword - move right - back step - swing sword what year is it? The exploration in the game is by far the only reason it gets as high a score from me personally. Its super fun to explore and find new places and enemies to kill but this game is so repetitive, repetitive, repetitive, repetitive. Boss battles are the same, enemies everywhere are the same. It's a great step in a the right direction but if you're going to open your world map then you got to have a reason to live in it, it has to be an interesting place for me to ROLE PLAY. Not overly difficult if you level up and explore the world for better gear and weapons, but why else would you be playing an RPG. Combat is simple and fair most of the time and by fair i mean if you get hit you get punished, that's what these games are about. Sadly because that mechanic is so old and stale once you master moving and taking small bites you can really own this game. Its good but not as good as some other RPG'S over the years. Like Dragons Lair in the arcades as a kid a lot of people got pissed off the game was so hard and wanted their Quarters back. But if you just learned the patterns to the dungeons the Quarters started to go really far. If people were still buying physical copies of games Elden Ring would have its own pre-owned bin at every location. Solid 7/10 Expand

Copy & paste bosses throughout the game, every boss except 3. Bosses copied from other souls games, & the AI & hit boxes are terrible. The input lag is really bad, yet few souls players call out from software about this. Maybe delusional players, because they love the " challenge" of a truly broken game.

First off, I love the unforgiving combat system typical of souls-like games. It's a steep learning curve but rewarding when you finally get it down. The visuals are fantastic and at first I enjoyed exploring the open world. In the end, I found the world too open and too repetitive. I can see why some people may love it, but for me I just found it good and not great in the end.

If you are into Soulsborne games and want to see an open world version I recommend it. If not stay away. The exploration can be super fun and darkly beautiful but beyond frustrating at times as well. The coop system is still the same so no updates to it as well. I unfortunately thought it was a big evolution but the only thing that's changed is am open world, a horse and you can a summon AI help at times. To me it's fun but can feel extremely tedious.

There is a fine line between difficult and dumb/irritating. I'm a big Metroid fan, so hard games arent usually an issue. But this game just makes itself hard for the sake of it. It's not fun, it's just boring. The controls arent responsive enough imo to warrant the difficulty. There is loot and weapons and armor galore, several different spirit ashes to find and use, which are essentially NPC's that you summon to help you in battle, and numerous different talismans which give you boosts to different abilities and stats. The freedom to truly mold you character into the type of fighter you want them to be is superb. The gameplay is mostly solid, and teaming up with a friend in co-op is a whole lot of fun. The game is gorgeous and the world is very immersive at times. The ability to sort of create your own stories within the game and talk about it with your friends is a highlight for sure. I'll never forget discussing strategies for certain areas and bosses with a couple of my friends that also play the game. Cons- Terrible camera angles at times. I don't know how many times I can legit blame dying on awful angles while fighting enemies in confined areas simply because I couldn't see them due to the camera positions. The targeting system when there are multiple enemies gets frustrating, and as fun as co-op is, they make it way too complicated to summon a friend. It seems ridiculous that I have to go farm plants to craft the items I need just to play cooperatively. Let me send them an invite and roam the Lands Between at will. I don't like that Torrent cannot be used at all during co-op either. It makes traversing the vast open world with friends seem more like a task than a good time. Story... Yeah. I just don't find it interesting. Not only is it really vague, but it is also bland and essentially non-existent at most times. There isn't much to keep me going other than the thrill of the next kill and a desire to explore. The NPC's are all stoic and dull, and lack personality. You feel no connection to anyone in the game. As far as RPG's go, this is at the bottom of the list in that aspect. I also dislike the total lack of hubs. No populated areas, whatsoever. Not one single town or city with any signs of life. That is more of a personal preference than a knock on the game, because that is obviously intentional to leave this type of thing out, but still- It makes the huge open world seem very bleak, lifeless, and empty. Several bosses are repeated, as are dungeons (outside of legacy dungeons and the main bosses) and that also eventually begins detracting from the overall experience. All in all, it's solid. I have plenty of gripes and opinions on what I think would make it a much better game, but that is all subjective, personal preference. If you are a fan of Souls games, you will most likely love this one. If you are used to open worlds such as The Elder Scrolls, Witcher 3, GTA, Red Dead, etc... You may feel like I do. Expand

Pros: The game is absolutely huge. The world Is amazing to explore and almost every nook and crannie holds something to find or discover. Boss fights are epic but can't get a little frustrating if you play certain classes. The character building /level up system is pretty good as well.

Cons: The story is very hard to follow as you are told something once and you have no record of anything you were told so if you forgot something you're pretty much clueless unless you look it up online. Same goes for the hidden sidequest throughout the game. It's one of the most poorly constructed quest /side mission implementation I've ever seen in any game. The enemies that are supposed to be trash mobs running around the open world are sometimes harder than the main bosses which is ridiculous on its own.

Recap. All in all it is a good game If you want to randomly run around the amazing open world and kill stuff with no rhyme or reason or any way to look back to see what npc's have told you along the way. If you are into story or dialog this is definitely not a game for you.

I want to really like this game but performance issues ruin the experience. Playing on performance mode, it feels like I'm getting below 30fps in some boss battles, and having low framerates when you need precise movements and actions, makes it nearly impossible to progress in some places. If you're on the fence about purchasing Elden Ring, hold off until the developers improve the performance.

Key information on items stats is hidden, for a “core” game this should be easily accessible. Most of the game’s difficulty comes from obfuscation of the game’s mechanics, so you have to resort to online guides & walkthroughs.

Despite some annoying performance issues, Elden Ring is a masterpiece. The combat, enemy variety, exploration, music, and open world are top notch. I’ve been playing it daily across all platforms alongside other games all month, and look forward to doing that all year as I try new builds, help friends, and try to do everything I want in this triumph of a video game.

Elden Ring rewards your curiosity in many ways, be it items, runes or a pathway to another area, but mostly it’s a story to tell your friends when you are sharing tales around the bonfire. It does not force feed tutorials down your throat, but instead it leans far the opposite way by not telling you much at all and lets you explore and find things out on your own. There is no true quest log, no points of interest on a map or no arrows pointing you in the right direction, so there is a good chance you’ll miss some of the best caves and areas of the game. Because of all of this, Elden Ring is forcing me to find all of that out on my own and it is one of the most rewarding games I have ever played. I will continue to explore the Land Between for many hours to come. I’m just not in a hurry.

Elden Ring manages to draw the player into a fascinating world for many hours, with refined gameplay that fits perfectly with the freedom granted to the player. A sumptuous but imperfect work, which fails to completely overcome some of the historical flaws of Hidetaka Miyazaki's productions. Flaws that, however, can't diminish the scope of a masterpiece destined to leave an indelible mark on the videogame world and to set new standards for the souls-like and open-world genres.
