If you’re a fan of high fantasy, open world rpgs and the soulsbourne genre, then this is the game of your dreams. The world & character design is amazing. The scale of the world, the density, the verticality are incredible. There’s nothing else like it. Ignore the trolls reviews binging this game, it’s a masterpiece.

The formula they've honed is nearly perfected here, and the expansion of features and ideas, gameplay and story twists and turns, and incredible presentation all add up to a game experience I will remember for all my days left on this earth. Play with friends for a more challenging but fun experience of on-foot Elden Ring. Single-player horse jumping is tons of fun too, go Torrent! Must play. Not only the best game of 2022, it's quite possibly the best game ever. The challenge is incredible but very rewarding, a real trial by fire. On top of it all, it also includes coop and pvp. This game has everything: dungeons, dragons, friends, constant challenge, awesome characters, enchanting items, and pretty visuals. It's hard to put down.

The first timeNostalgia. It's big business now. Seems like everyone is cashing in on 80's and 90's kids childhoods. But why? Why are people willing to pay money for something old and possibly obsolete? The simple answer is bliss. That exhilaration of feeling something new, The unlimited Thrill of receiving a reword for achieving what felt like an imposable goal that only a child can know. The first time you were excited and scared at the same time, The friendships...friendships before drama, when the only thing required to be friends was that you were all young and ignorant of an adult world. As we know being an adult isn't nearly as exciting and is rarely fun. So of course people (like me) in there 30's 40's and 50's will pay cash for a chance at feeling that bliss, if only for a single second, if only one more time.

Video games were my very first love. Karate Kid on the NES is the first game I remember playing. And it called to me. The colors racing by, the thrill of surviving one more screen as I scrolled right kicking and punching. Then at the local arcade it was WWF Wrestlefest and Afterburner that gave me that same thrill, That sense of pure bliss. Other games made me feel that way over the years. But it came fewer and farther between as I got older. And it wasn't just games feel this way. It was going to a new friends house for the first time, playing in a construction area at night, riding my first wheelie on my bike, my first ollie, exploring abandoned houses with my friends. when we were kids it was pure bliss all the time.

As life carries on, there are still wonders. the first time being intimate with someone, falling in love, your first promotion at work. But for most of us our day to day life's have become the status quo, go to work, be a good parent, and a good spouse. But no matter how good your life turns out, for a lot of us there will always be a longing for that bliss. That feeling of discovery we had so many years ago.

Eldon Ring absolutely makes me feel that way again. I cant exactly say why. I never liked any of the other games made by FROM software. In fact I disliked them. But this game has kept me on the edge of my seat for the 30 hours I've put into it. I'm glued to my TV in a way that I haven't been for years. My heart races, and my adrenaline has been off the charts! Not just the game either, I've had my laptop In front of me the whole time, on forums, wiki's, and watching YouTube videos. Its the most "fun" I've had as long as I can remember. Around every corner is something new and exciting, every cave, Ruin, or castle is just absolutely filled with discovery. The constant fear of losing your progressions is ever looming giving this game that fear and excitement feeling from my youth. There is nothing like discovering an area with no messages anywhere and knowing you might be the first player to ever find this place. It's constant exhilaration.

I could get into the mechanics, the graphics, what features the game has or lacks. But I wont. I could talk about the length of the game. But I also wont, Because for me it doesn't matter. Im 30 hours in and if the game ended now, or lasted another 100 hours I would consider it the greatest game ever made. What I do care about is how this game makes me feel. And it makes me feel like a kid again. Not for a second, but for hours. I never thought I would feel these kinds of emotions again. And for that I am so thankful.

I usually dont write reviews, But I had to let someone somewhere know how amazing this game is. In my opinion this game is without a doubt the G.O.A.T..

The game rewards you every time you venture off the main path and not by giving you some collectibles like in other open world games but with a new weapon, skill, spell, armor or talisman that will help maybe help your current build or is even worth building towards. The sense of progression you get this way is incomparable to other open world games or rpgs. I started out as a naked guy with a stick, went on to be a knight with a bastard sword and shield and now am a powerful scythe wielding sorcerer using the power of dragons and lightning to destroy my enemies.

I can understand some people that got drawn in by the BOTW comparisons are having trouble with the combat but it‘s definitely not too hard if you‘re willing to think a little bit about how to approach boss fights. The summons definitely help a lot and sometimes even make the game feel too easy for a fromsoft game.

I rarely come across masterpieces nowadays and I've completed very few action or RPG games the last decade. And then came Elden Ring. Elden Ring is a masterpiece. I just finished putting just over 200 hours into my first playthrough, during which I searched every nook and cranny, tried to fight every enemy and boss, tried to find every item, tried to finish every quest, and accomplished most of that. A masterpiece. Beautiful. It's a modern and mature Zelda, a new gen and darker Skyrim with greater difficulty and less time-consuming and useless systems. It's grand. It's art. And I recommend it to every gamer. If you can get over the difficulty, you will be rewarded. And I never liked Souls-type games one bit before ER, but I see dopeness and beauty even in death in Elden Ring - how cool the enemy looks as he stalks over your body, the environment, the graphics and grandeur of it all. There probably is story (probably like it was in Diablo II back than), but I didn’t really need to follow anything, I am just discovering this massive highly occupied world, meeting these unique foes, some of them bosses, some of them over my level - even harder than bosses, so opening this map and going elsewhere discovering something new. Along the journey realising, there were very few games that got stocked in my memories as a such a enjoyment as this one and we are really going to past at start of the 90s.. There is no doubt it is GOTY of 2022, this game right now aspires to be one of the greatest since Diablo II - if you loved that one, this one is must. If You loved Sekiro, this one is must. Revolutionary title, that got far beyond of the competition. We can all speak about Horizon, we all know, that Starfield or God of War probably will be great, but at the same time we know what previous titles from these studios were, gameplay never been the first thing - not in the way predecessors of the Elden Ring were - and gameplay is the thing for me, reason I wanna play. Don’t get me wrong, I love to watch, but I have HBO max, Netflix and etc for this. If we compare this game to Witcher 3, which is another great game, full of cutscenes, first try to openworld and it was just great - I really enjoyed it, but longer I played, interest were lower, story was interesting, but I just got in this feeling that every fight is same, no challange, after 15 hours of play and that is the way Witcher I remember Expand

I knew it was a 10 when I sunk 30 hours in 3 days when I am also juggling work and school. Anything lower than an 8 makes no sense - this is one of the most dense, beautiful, dangerous open worlds ever created. Combat is extremely varied. The exploration is top notch - think BOTW where you keep telling yourself "ok one more thing then I'll stop playing - let me go to that castle first" and then end up playing another 2 hours. There is SO much creativity and fun packed in this game it is an absolute must-play. Combat while on your horse is also the best I've ever seen in a game. It is so fun. Unlike the Witcher where it's a nuisance to fight on your horse, here I try to stay on unless I absolutely must get off.

As with any other FromSoft game, however, there is a learning curve where you need to learn how to fight. It does take some patience, but once you get that you cannot roll infinitely or just run in and attack, it gets easier from there. And then you sink into it with all the different weapon and magic options you have as you level up. Infinite builds and playstyles. Cool and funny side quests and characters, and the story is the most prominent it has ever been in an FS game.

I tried both and its the same ..that's why ps5 has faster loading times because the devs forget to use the high speed of XS SSD and used the low speed of Xbox one HDD..

Well that’s because to expect this game to be different than the other Fromsoft games is ignorant at best, It takes what works from the rest of their work and finally starts to trim away from the fat that made prior games more like exclusionary niche titles and opened the genre to be much more accessible. The game never seems to stop opening up into new areas to explore and when played alongside friends has created a gaming experience I’ve found lacking in the industry for a longerg time. The open world allows for moving around and away from moments that served as roadblocks in prior titles. Can’t beat that boss? No problem, just go level up or try out a new weapon set up and come back. No more banging your head against the wall as you do the same fight for the 50th time. You can go at your own place and there is more variety to the game than just big sword smash and roll. And while the graphics are far from cutting edge, the game reminded me how little that matters in a game. Thanks for the stories Fromsoft, can’t wait to see what’s next. Expand

This game is a breath of fresh air among the convoluted and bloated open world game we typically get today. It's a masterclass in level design, enemy design, combat, RPG mechanics, exploration, dungeon crawling, and more. The game is absolutely massive in scale, and with 50 hours in I've hardly scratched the surface. The reviews are justified and the hype is real. And I'm saying this not as a fanboy, but as a first time player of FromSoftware games.

With that out of the way, I would like to say that Elden Ring is simply incredible. I have not experienced a newly released RPG that has enthralled me this much with its world and gameplay since Fallout 4 - back in 2015. The diversity in builds and play styles, the humongous amount of interesting dungeons and environments, the plentiful and awesome loot, and of course the difficult but very fun to fight enemies and bosses - all of these elements are done very, very well in Elden Ring. There are some technical problems here and there, mainly with the frame rate and some controller delay - but this will not destroy the awesome experience. As a send off I want to say this, Elden Ring is not short and it does not hold your hand, this could seem overwhelming to some gamers, but I want to say that Elden Ring hardly ever felt like a chore. While Elden Ring is a long game, it's so open and has so much in it that I hardly felt like I was spending too much time playing it. Even if you are crunched for time from work or school, I still would highly recommend trying out this awesome game. Expand

There's no checklist simulator here, just an open world full of mystery and wonder. So many hidden places you'll find for the first time on your third playthrough. It's truly incredible seeing a dev team trust the player as far too often games are too proud of their work, so they feel the need to drag you to every place on the map, but elden ring wants you to discover the magic of this world on your own.. this is your journey, your path to cut, this is your world. Before Elden Ring, Zelda Breath of the Wild was easily my favourite game.

After 100 hours of this game, I'm not really even that bothered about the Tears of the Kingdom sequel though. Elden ring is fairly similar to Breath of the Wild but the combat feels way more realistic and evolved and there's much more to do. The only problem with it is that it's slightly spoilt all other games.

Since Demons Souls (2009) and Dark Souls (2011) went down in history as innovative and challenging games, the first thing to think about would be: "How will Elden Ring innovate?"... The answer came through the gameplay.

I never imagined that From Software would be able to create something so epic, mixing an amazing OST (made by Yuka Kitamura), a magical setting and such fantastic mechanics. Elden Ring gives me the same feeling as Skyrim, a feeling of a vast world to explore, with different possibilities, for me, these two games are like brothers, things that only appear from decade to decade in the gaming world.

The bosses never disappoint, no matter if it's a dungeon boss, or a main boss, their theme songs are amazing, and you really feel that the moment is a certain tension. The dubbing of the game is to be praised, all the voice actors managed to highlight the presence of their characters well, and this is something that I see little commented on.

There are different builds, for all tastes, for all the bosses you want, and this goes back to what I said before, Skyrim and Elden Ring are brothers, both games give you immense possibilities for gameplay, magic, archery, one hand, two hands, punch. You'll never run out of ideas for an NG+.

In short: Elden Ring is the kind of game you only see every decade, and it's been a real pleasure to write about this masterpiece by Miyazaki.

Never really played a FromSoftware game before picking up Elden Ring, but after this I gotta. This game is one of the best games I've ever played

Despite some annoying performance issues, Elden Ring is a masterpiece. The combat, enemy variety, exploration, music, and open world are top notch. I’ve been playing it daily across all platforms alongside other games all month, and look forward to doing that all year as I try new builds, help friends, and try to do everything I want in this triumph of a video game.

Elden Ring rewards your curiosity in many ways, be it items, runes or a pathway to another area, but mostly it’s a story to tell your friends when you are sharing tales around the bonfire. It does not force feed tutorials down your throat, but instead it leans far the opposite way by not telling you much at all and lets you explore and find things out on your own. There is no true quest log, no points of interest on a map or no arrows pointing you in the right direction, so there is a good chance you’ll miss some of the best caves and areas of the game. Because of all of this, Elden Ring is forcing me to find all of that out on my own and it is one of the most rewarding games I have ever played. I will continue to explore the Land Between for many hours to come. I’m just not in a hurry.

Elden Ring manages to draw the player into a fascinating world for many hours, with refined gameplay that fits perfectly with the freedom granted to the player. A sumptuous but imperfect work, which fails to completely overcome some of the historical flaws of Hidetaka Miyazaki's productions. Flaws that, however, can't diminish the scope of a masterpiece destined to leave an indelible mark on the videogame world and to set new standards for the souls-like and open-world genres.
