Sep 1, 2023Extremely hard, no story. But love it as there's no pop ups telling you to get your credit card out to buy something. Thanks for just making a game and not trying to get every penny I have

Aug 13, 2023First off, I love the unforgiving combat system typical of souls-like games. It's a steep learning curve but rewarding when you finally get it down. The visuals are fantastic and at first I enjoyed exploring the open world. In the end, I found the world too open and too repetitive. I can see why some people may love it, but for me I just found it good and not great in the end.

Once I open the game, I feel I’m the character.
Try to fight every battle in elden ring.
At the end, I become the king. Wish I can play it again -

Feb 23, 2023This game is incredible; the devs added an absurd amount of content, all of which is masterfully implemented into a visually, audibly, and narratively beautiful world, but they forgot one thing--they forgot to make it particularly fun.

Dec 3, 2022Good game for the dark souls genre. But ultimately a gimmick riddled experience where they tie the players hands in ridiculous way, thinking that’s what fun is. Does not deserve game of the year for sure. The best part of the game is the lore/story, and after 400 hours later (6play throughs) I still had to find a YouTube video explains 50% of the lore.

Nov 6, 2022Not sure how this game has so many great reviews. Lots of rough edges with just simple things (like game menus). There is a story unfolding but the narrative is not nearly as strong as other RPGs.

Nov 3, 2022It’s okay never been fan of this style of games but it will find its hardcore fans gameplay is slow and unimpressive

Oct 28, 2022There's a huge amount of Bosses that look amazing and creepy but the Gameplay & Inconsistency of the bosses gets a bit annoying overtime.
-

Sep 4, 2022boring and overrated, the genre urgently needs fresh air and its combat system already looks outdated for today's times, a shame I was expecting something more ambitious.

Jul 7, 2022This game is mediocre in every way.
Biggest difference between other souls games is the huge size of the map. That means they had to put a lot of filler in to the map to accommodate for a full open world. This game has more in common than latest assassin's creed games than to souls/bourne games. What a disappointment... -
Jul 2, 2022Bad optimization. It doesen't look like game, which cant run in stable 60fps on xsx

Apr 26, 2022Superior successor of Dark Souls 2.
This game is not a souls game, it's most likely a next game that trying to copy mechanics from dark souls.
Input reading,
enemy speed from sekiro but you character stuck at speed from dark souls 1,
enemies deal so much damage,
area damage everywhere,
repeatability - enemies, areas -

Apr 4, 2022Despite some annoying performance issues, Elden Ring is a masterpiece. The combat, enemy variety, exploration, music, and open world are top notch. I’ve been playing it daily across all platforms alongside other games all month, and look forward to doing that all year as I try new builds, help friends, and try to do everything I want in this triumph of a video game.

Mar 25, 2022Elden Ring rewards your curiosity in many ways, be it items, runes or a pathway to another area, but mostly it’s a story to tell your friends when you are sharing tales around the bonfire. It does not force feed tutorials down your throat, but instead it leans far the opposite way by not telling you much at all and lets you explore and find things out on your own. There is no true quest log, no points of interest on a map or no arrows pointing you in the right direction, so there is a good chance you’ll miss some of the best caves and areas of the game. Because of all of this, Elden Ring is forcing me to find all of that out on my own and it is one of the most rewarding games I have ever played. I will continue to explore the Land Between for many hours to come. I’m just not in a hurry.

Mar 14, 2022Elden Ring manages to draw the player into a fascinating world for many hours, with refined gameplay that fits perfectly with the freedom granted to the player. A sumptuous but imperfect work, which fails to completely overcome some of the historical flaws of Hidetaka Miyazaki's productions. Flaws that, however, can't diminish the scope of a masterpiece destined to leave an indelible mark on the videogame world and to set new standards for the souls-like and open-world genres.
