Expand

It's OK for casual gamers who play 20hrs and move on.
If you are anywhere serious about ARPG this is not the game at least not yet.
It has a good base but lacking in contents, complexity, longevity, endgame... nothing

I don’t know maybe that 2 hander is more like a 2 finger. Also no rune words? The problems keep going on and on.

Boss fights are sooooooo boring and level scaling makes it even worse.

This game is a lifeless and hollow husky of what used to be.

It seems like someone just wanted this game shipped with little thought on what people will do after story. Resistances have no place in the game as they have been made worthless for some reason, you simply build for damage and armor. I love ARPG's but i'm already bored of this game. Sure, there are some improvements that need to be made like literally any game. And just like any game, updates will be made to it. You can tell who hasnt played much D2 by the type of complaints they make about D4. its comical. Complaining about grinding/builds/end game content is pretty silly if you liked D2 and played 300 hours or something. People making these complaints are full of it. It would be hard to create a game that would appeal to both the die-hard ARPG fan who will crack out the calculator and spreadsheets to work out the optimal skills, and also the casual gamer who might not have played anything in the series before. The world is HUGE! D3 was really limited and somewhat straight line.
The graphics are top notch! Much more 'realistic' than cartoony D3.

However, it is VERY repetitive.... like EVERY GAME IN THIS GENRE.

One big negative is that you cannot choose your level of play. I really liked that I could increase my difficulty in D3. I also liked that I could decrease when my underpowered character just couldn't go any further.
------------------ I really don't like that the monsters level as soon as I do. ----------------------

D3 lasted 10 years. We may not see that with D4, but I imagine that future improvements, they will make the game even better.

The class as a whole was completely destroyed after the open/closed betas and so far have only received small buffs to minions. They lack survivability and have zero movement. They are underpowered in single target boss fights, and don't even get me started on PVP. While it's not uncommon to see unkillable Barbs, Druids, Sorcerers pumping out massive AOE and single target damage. Necromancer struggles at both. I was really hopeful that I would spend hundreds if not thousands of hours with this game over the next few years. But the state Necromancer has launched in has destroyed all the hype I had for this game. Now I'm wondering if I'll even manage to stick around for the first season let alone the first expansion.
I leveled up a Barb and Rogue just to compare and confirm my suspicions and they were absolutely confirmed. Those characters were easily able to complete content my Necromancer struggled on and in the case of The Butcher my Necromancer was the only one to die. Bottom line it's a great game if you don't want to main Necromancer. However Necromancer is so bad and feels so lackluster in so many area I find myself wondering how much longer I really want to play. There is hope on the horizon though with Path of Exile 2 not to far off in the future. Maybe they'll give me the class fantasy Diablo 4 can't or won't.

I'm new to the Diablo series. So far, I have about 20 hours in on Diablo 4, plus the open beta and server slam weekends. I've also played Diablo 2 resurrected a little, but nowhere near as much.

I've personally loved my time in Sanctuary so far. I do have some criticisms, but the game is solid and enjoyable. The game is beautiful on Series X. The music, voice acting, and sound design are phenomenal. I've also found myself more invested in the story and characters than I would have expected. The combat feels excellent for the most part, and finding a build that works for you and then refining it to be even better is very satisfying. Running into and teaming up with players in the overworld is fun, but running into another player is rare enough that it feels kind of special.

I've had minimal technical issues. Twice I've had server problems that were resolved within an hour, and once I had an odd latency issue where my character's actions were lagging behind my controller inputs. It lasted a couple of minutes, and then it resolved itself. In an age where so many AAA games launch in a completely broken state, for me, at least, Diablo IV has presented minimal technical issues.

My one criticism is that the dungeons get repetitive on a visual level. The overworld is beautiful and varied, but there are four basic variations on the dungeons. It would have been nice if they had the same level of variety and detail as the overworld. The cellars are even more repetitious but also very brief, so it doesn't come as close to feeling like a chore.

Some people will find the combat repetitious, and make no mistake, it is. I find it repetitious, like a bowl of ice cream is repetitious; every bite tastes the same, but it's still enjoyable.
Some people will also criticize the existence of microtransactions. Yeah, they are there, and they are stupidly expensive. They are also limited to cosmetics and are not advertised anywhere beyond the store tab that you have to navigate to manually. It's not like other games that push ads for microtransactions as soon as you press start.
    Summary
Overall this is a solid game with minor technical issues that I have hardly impacted my ability to play the game. I love the overworld and the sense of exploration, but the dungeons can sometimes be repetitive and bland. The combat repetition may eventually bother me, but if it does, I can always mix it up by creating another character of a different class. Microtransactions (and expensive) are present but not heavily pushed right now.

Blizzard say that you can play the game single player no problem.. Then someone explain to me that why can you only get certain ingredients by doing world bosses. And that you can NOT do alone... You have to play with someone no matter what.
The story... Come on Blizzard.. it's like you not even trying compared to D1, D2 and D3...
And that they have used this long for make this game... That is bad..
If you play this game and hope for a good single player experience. Good luck cause most likely you will not have one since it is an MMO. A clear MMO game with a tad single player in it.

this game gets killed by the SCALING OF THE MONSTERS.
here are some Pros and Cons.

    Pro:
    - big open world
    - some nice additions to that openworld like the lilith altars , a lot of sidequests, some of them are pretty good story wise
    - mainstory is pretty nice

    Cons:
    - BIGGEST MINUS IS THAT EVERYTHING SCALES TO YOUR LEVEL/POWER SO IT MAKES ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE TO GET STRONGER, CUZ THEY WILL BEAT YOU THE SAME WAY THEY DID BEFORE YOU GOT YOUR AWESOME LEGENDARY WHICH IS LIKE 20 LVLS ABOVE THE OLD ONE
    - Absolutely not rewarding endgame
    - Legendaries suck , you can get the same legendary stats on any kind of item, so its just the icon/looks which is different
    - there are actually only a few legendary stats which are useable cuz most classes have like one good build which is recommended or actually does some damage
    - skills are super boring, and by boring i mean super boring, imagine throwing bonespears as a necromancer because its your strongest hitting skill and spamming the basic bone attack skill 10 times because your bonespear takes like 20-30% of your ressources
    - the attack animations are bad, the game looks actually ugly too, for a next gen game it failed. look at Lost Ark , they managed everything and that game is like 5 years old
    - they could have build some LFG function into it, but there isnt any
    - The Death of two big names... one killed by a furniture, the other one got skewered from the back.. never seen a more stupid deathscene like this in any game before
    - it took me like 30 hours or so or probably more to unlock the damn horse, thats probably their way of dragging the story... you can imagine how annoying that is right?
    - every 20 mins, half of your inventory will be filled with gems... the game is full of backtracking elements which will also make your life in sanctuario harder, harder than lilith could do

i regret paying so much money for this, looks like critics review are also not reliable enough anymore. only pay/play if you want to experience the gameplay and want to experiment a little bit. because after like lvl 50 all you will do is either 100% the whole map AC style or just grind the same stuff for the 10000th time till you quit and i can tell you that grinding Diablo 4 is no fun, Diablo 3 was atleast enjoyable , flying through the dungeons, also having more challenging dungeons available at any time. they had enough time and also enough money to make tis a big game. i hated them back on diablo 3 release for their bad server management, now i will hate them for effing up a game gameplay wise, which is impossible to fix. never going to buy another diablo game again, maybe if its on sale for 5 bucks

As a person who did not like diablo 3 at all and has played diablo 2 for over 20 years now the game strikes a great balance of both previous games and is a worthy successor(finally) to diablo 2. The game has plenty to do and makes a great base for the diablo devs to expand upon. The team at blizzard has done a great job keeping the game up during both early access launch and world wide release. I didn't even get a single disconnect during either of those times. Also since its a "live service" game they are constantly making changes ever few days. This is a first in the franchise for that type of attention and service and blizzard seems to be holding up their end of the bargain to bring the game to life. Time will tell if they can maintain that level of attention over the long haul but its off to a good start. Also with as much as they are promoting the game in creative ways its easy to see they are really "all in" with this game and want to see it succeed here. I cant wait to see what the diablo 4 devs bring us next with seasons and leader boards coming shortly.

Game is currently being review bombed here and it 100 percent doesn't deserve that. The game for me is a easy 10/10. Caveat being you will enjoy this game alot more if you enjoyed diablo 2 over diablo 3.

Basically a prettier version of Diablo 3, content wise just replace rifts with dungeons and you have Diablo 4. Combat is slow, mob density is low, movement is clunky, and very little build diversity. Hopefully seasons bring in some game changes and content but as of right now I was bored in less than a week.

People trying to degen play this like streamers and youtubers, whos job is speedrun the game to produce content, and complaining the game as nothing to do? The endgame is farming for gear? What did you expect from an ARPG? Diablo as plenty to do and various ways after you reach level 50 and or finish the campaign for you to progress your character.

Servers where down for about 1 hour 8 of june, and this delusional people, who dont even have the game, so they are playing through twitch streamers, came here and bombed the game. What a sad life you must have to deliberately do this.

This game is a solid 8/10, good story overhall, great combat, great graphics, well optimized, classes feel fun to play, various ways to farm gear, diferent types of end game.

Now there are many things that could be improved:
    - Stash needs rework and the ability to search
    - Implement gem only bag
    - Builds feel to "pre built" little room for creativity
    - World bosses could be more challenging

70$ game, if you value your time at 1$ per hour, you get your money's worth and even more.

When season launches, there will be a battle pass with free and premium tiers. It's not mandatory to progress your character nor does it award items nor power for your character, mainly cosmetics and currency.

My first day of the game was fine, played an entire session no disconnects or lag at all. I managed to reach the last quest of campaign and then got booted out three times in a row as I was about to finish the quest.

Now upon hitting level 50 it seems as though the game is just determined to prevent me from actually finishing a single quest. I get disconnected every single time I get to the last portion of boss health or kill the last enemy, lag out and simply do not get the reward. This would be fine, I can live with side quests and the like as their rewards are menial anyway.

But how, after several months of testing, can there still be a game breaking bug in the capstone dungeon to allow the player to progress to past veteran tier? Of the 10 attempts at this dungeon before contemplating throwing the console and controller out the window, my first 4 saw the boss de-spawn as he hit the last quarter of health bar, no way to exit the instance besides disconnecting from the server and relaunching the game.

The remaining attempts saw me make it to the boss 5 out of 6 times, only to just flat out be disconnected after a 5 second freeze.

Again, if this were checkpointed like all the other campaign quests then this wouldn't be as much of an issue. However, you need to restart the entire instance, along with the pre-boss each time, and it is vital to complete to progress the game. Abysmal design from Blizz here, but I don't know why the hell I expected any different, its becoming a track record for them.

I'm still finding rare items more powerful than unique items, and since i can't progress my world tier I guess I'll continue to do so... Deep customisation? Crunchy visceral combat that you can feel? I can't believe I bought into all that nonsense. Game launches without set items. Quite frankly I don't expect to pay £70 for a game to still be beta testing it post release. I have no idea why this trend of releasing broken games that are required to be constantly online, yet consistently fail to do so, has taken off in recent years, but if it continues in this fashion then its the beginning of the end for gaming.

I cannot recommend this game in its current state and have no intentions of buying any Blizz games at launch again, ever.

Title: A Triumph of Dark Fantasy: Diablo 4 - an Unforgettable Dive into a Grim World

    Review:

Diablo 4 is undeniably one of the most anticipated games of the past decade, and I am thrilled to say that it lives up to all expectations. The latest chapter in Blizzard Entertainment's legendary series not only surpasses its predecessors but also sets new standards for the action RPG genre.

Right from the beginning, Diablo 4 captivates with its deep and immersive story. You find yourself in a dark fantasy world steeped in darkness and chaos, bearing witness to an epic battle between good and evil. The meticulously crafted narrative comes alive through stunning cinematic scenes and top-notch voice acting, infusing depth and emotion into the characters.

The gameplay in Diablo 4 is on a whole new level compared to previous installments. Every strike, every spell cast with smooth and realistic animations, delivers a sense of power and satisfaction. The character progression system offers a vast array of abilities and combinations, allowing players to create unique heroes that align with their playstyle.

The world of Diablo 4 breathes with life. Each location, every corner, is infused with an atmosphere of darkness and terror. The diverse landscapes and intricately detailed environments immerse you in a realm of grim fantasy, where every step can be your last.

Diablo 4's multiplayer mode offers unparalleled opportunities for collaboration and competition. You can join forces with friends to take on mighty bosses, tackle challenging dungeons, or engage in thrilling PvP battles. The seamless online integration ensures a dynamic and engaging social experience.

Visually, Diablo 4 is a feast for the eyes. The graphics are stunning, with meticulous attention to detail, realistic lighting, and breathtaking visual effects. The art direction perfectly captures the dark and gritty aesthetic of the Diablo universe, enhancing the overall immersion.

Furthermore, the soundtrack of Diablo 4 is a masterpiece in its own right. The haunting melodies and epic orchestral compositions amplify the game's atmosphere, evoking a range of emotions from awe to spine-chilling dread.

In conclusion, Diablo 4 is a triumph that exceeds expectations on all fronts. It delivers an enthralling story, engaging gameplay, and a captivating world that will keep players hooked for countless hours. With its impeccable presentation and a wealth of content, Diablo 4 is poised to become a modern classic in the action RPG genre.

Maybe you don't like the art style or the story or the combat and class design but a 0 means absolutely nothing when you are clearly kicking and screaming like a child, usually about something tiny, and acting like Blizz harmed you.
Now i can see someone thinking the same about my score, that i am artificially praising the game but this is my rating based on my time with the game. 10 does not mean perfection but i would still call this a masterpiece. My only qualm with the game thus far is the lack of offline mode. This is primarily because i prefer playing solo in most games and also i don't have to worry about the servers being up. Every other aspect of the game draws me in. From the outset, i actually enjoy the story far more than previous Diablo games (i will admit i have never really paid attention to the previous stories) partly because of the excellent cinematics and also the surprisingly good voice acting that isn't hammy like D2 and 3. Lillith is an interesting antagonist since she is not simply evil for evil's sake.
Aesthetically, the graphics are wonderfully detailed, even when zoomed in, and the art feels much more in line with D1 and 2. When all the particles and various character and enemy animations are popping off everywhere, it is not only stunning but the frame rate stays solid through all of it, keeping the controller input feeling responsive. But even more than the graphics, the voice acting and monster sounds (which are generally great) aside, the music is not only beautiful but perfectly suited to the game's rather somber and mournful tone.
However, while these aspects enhance the experience, none of it would matter if the gameplay sucked. Obviously, this is where the highest amount of subjectiveness in a review comes into play. To say that the classes and combat feel somewhat like a combination of D2 and 3 would not be too much of a stretch. D4 uses the more streamlined and dedicated builds of D2 in tandem with D3's encouragement to experiment with moves constantly. Each class feels very distinct and has multiple ways to specialize or use a more hybrid approach. In my opinion, the thing that draws me in to D4's combat so much is that they shirked the uber arcade-y feeling of D3 and made it much more visceral and strategic. The addition of a dash for every class is such a simple yet compelling tactical choice. Even with the former turret like combat of the sorcerer class, i now find myself moving frequently, particularly during boss fights. Having moves like Frozen Orb that require proper positioning and timing to utilize most effectively keeps me engaged much more even with basic trash mobs. I am also very pleased that they set a hard leveling cap of 100 as this helps to give a better sense of character "completion" than D3.
Lastly, the sheer amount of content in the world is astounding, especially for a day 1 release. The map is littered with dungeons, crafting materials, world events, big group boss fights, and side quests. The smaller quests in this game aren't exactly Witcher 3 level of depth but they are much better than the average open world game and have a good amount of variety to them. I never feel bored while travelling the world, there is always something new to entice me to keep playing. The content is where i can see a lot of people's mileage with the game varying as a lot of it is there merely for the joy of exploration, the prospect of more combat engagement, and that wonderful green check mark on the map to feel you completed something.

One note about the microtransactions, which i see a lot of people **** about. Yes, they are there day one but they are tucked away, not pasted blatantly on the start screen and this game is absolutely complete at purchase, especially considering how huge the game is. The items for sale are ONLY cosmetic and provide no gameplay boosts to leveling speed, gearing, etc. Why must people cry about this? Don't buy anything and the game is still the same as everyone else's experience. All these whiners are acting like Blizzard locked key game features or boosts behind a pay wall. Get over over yourself.

Ultimately, while i love the game for all the things i described, the real reason behind my 10 is that i have had nothing but fun since i started it, and when i am away from the game, it is stuck in my head like an earworm. When i get held up at a boss fight, i have enjoyed changing up my tactics and coming at it from a different angle. The leveling speed and gear drops are at just the right level, especially compared to D3 where there were just thousands of meaningless legendary drops. D4 is easily my GotY, which is completely unexpected for me as i thought Tears of the Kingdom would be the easy king.

Early acess 02/06/23 : minor bugs, servers were working pretty well. I progress through the campaign with my friends and it went pretty well. But once we achieved endgame features, there's a lot of bugs.
Nightmare dungeons : bugged. You can't go in with friends because you will be desynchronised 1 dungeon out of 2.
Helltide : unplayable with lags. you'll die everytime you take a lag, and you'll lose your components.

Release date 06/06/23 : lags everytime. Permanent lags, so totally unplayable endgame features

    08/06/23 22h30 GMT+1 : Crash server. Can't play. Only 2 days since release.

Enough with server problems. There's also class balance problems. Barbarian is Godlike, rogue is too squishy (gets one shotted by almost everything), necromancer has literraly 0 mobility, druid is unkillable, and sorcerer is the only balanced class.

Let's talk about campaign : Act 1, 2, 3 ,4 and 5 are Star Wars Disney tier. Act 6 is a real masterpiece.
Campaign boss fights are for retarded ppl. they have 0 mechanics, they just have a ton of hp.
Only Lilith have a real boss fight. And Elias after the campaign will have a real boss fight too.

The Artistic Direction is perfect. that's why i give them 1 point.
Sound Design is good, but Lost Ark is better at it.

There's a lack of features in the UI. We can't see other player's profile. there's no statistics, can't watch playtime, there's no ladder.
There's no search bar for items in the stash. Gems take too much space

And there's a ton of other bugs, like sometimes you can't use any ability or dash. Sometimes the horse's pathfinding will totally bug. Cinematics will sometimes bug when you play with friends, only 1 in the group will the dialogues / cinematics.

There's no diversity in the bestiary and the dungeon bosses or in the decorations. All monsters are recycled with different color, and they are spread all over the entire map. Dungeons are procedural but you will see always the same monsters in them.
Dungeon Bosses are catastrophic. Distant / Mage bosses are retarded, they do no damage so you can just burst them with any build.
Melee Bosses are a nightmare, they run faster than you, have an attack speed higher than the light speed. So you almost can't kite them and if you don't play barbarian, druid or sorcerer frost you'll just instant die.

To sum up, this game is **** tier and doesn't deserve your money, let Blizzard sink.

Due to the irresponsible patching of the management, the "Rogue" players felt angry and disappointed. Not only did the patch simply nerf the character, but the mechanism of character play itself collapsed, and there was no reason to play "Rogue" anymore after the endgame.

I've played better if you don't balance the classes it's useless. You can't charge a Beta game as effective and have to wait for patches to balance. Make him pay less and write us beta then I'm fine with it but full price for a finished product doesn't exist. Side quests few good and many repetitive. It's deadly boring doing secondary schools that don't shine at all. Reviewers give this game too high a rating it deserves 6 to 7 maximum. Scale your expectations this game costs too much for what it offers. The thing that is most to like are the localized dialogues, open world and cutscenes. Expand

Combat is no fun (your character doesnt even use his weapon) so there is no challenge. You can only map 6 abilities, so the rest goes more or less to waste. The game is boring as hell. It’s cosmetic and doesn’t affect the gameplay at all so who cares? Yes battle passes are crap but what MMO doesn’t use them now? If you even remotely enjoy Diablo series this is best one yet. Expand

The storyline is very impressive. Had so much fun playing through it. If you like grinding and pushing your char to perfection it also provides alot of things to do. Overall a very good Diablo release. Dont understand the comparison with Immortal. Its a proper PC/Console release.

This is one of the best games in the Diablo series, the character creation is already one of the best in the series, and the cutscenes are incredible with your character present. The story is also one of the best it's ever been in the series. The only thing I have a problem with, is the server issues. Once they fix the servers for logging in and random disconnects, the score will be a 10.

I had very high hopes for this game, it didn't meet them. The most fundamental problem is that the game is just not fun to play, it all feels like a chore and you never make any progress. Liliths personality start promising, a demonic, scary but by the end has become a disney character.

The affixes on items are pointless,
2% damage or crowd controlled enemies
    2% damage to vurnable enemies
    2% damage to near enemies
... List goes on with MANY more exactly the same.

The cinematics and music (you have to tweak your audio settings, turn down SFX to ~50% if you wanna hear the music while playing) in this game are fantastic.

All in all the game is not fun, most of the time you are just slowly walking without killing any monster, very sloppy and bland story, game lakes itemization, very good cinematics and music.

    4. there is no blood in battles, as if you are beating dummies
    5. there is still too much light show, behind which the game is poorly visible
    6. a mediocre plot, like in a cheap TV series. But this is a disease of the entire gaming industry. Exception: Cyberpunk, Portal 2, Talos principle

    Advantages:
    1. graphics, like animated paintings of fantasy masters
    2. the illusion of endless character development
    3. adult, serious atmosphere
    4. co-op on two screens is played as fun as in childhood on SNES

This version of Diablo is missing so many essential aspects that we are so used to with past games. It feels like it's also missing the game's social aspect, especially on consoles. The skill tree is lackluster at best. No runewords. This is a $40 game, and it will be the last time I ever preorder a Blizzard game.

    World / video:
Diablo 4’s open world is a masive, beautiful and dark gothic one, reflected in the art style, the story, and more subtly, through the entire gameplay. It is how Diablo 2 would have been like if the necessary technological means would have been available at that time. I often stopped the fight just to observe the beautiful details of scenery or of a delerict dungeon populated with all kind of torture devices and decesed victims.

    Gameplay:
The general gameplay loop in Diablo 4 goes like: kill demons, loot, head to town and repeat. This goes for dungeons, events, side quests, and everything else. It is an addictive loop that any Diablo fan should know well. The most important thing about the combat is that it feels impactful and with the addition of the good synergy between the skills, the monster level scaling and the meaningful boss mechanics it is simply chalenging and great.

    Sound:
Every sound is nice and precisely located in the mix. From the background music to the crunches of the wood and the clatters of the chests opening, to the dungeons sounds that feel claustrophic and expansive in equal measure.

    Story:
Diablo 4's story revolves around Lilith, the demoness responsible for the creation of Sanctuary. She proves to be a complex character, utterly stealing the show in what already sports a truly formidable cast.

    Diablo 4 shop:
The Shop offers only cosmetic items that are purchased with Platinum, which is Diablo 4's premium currency that can be bought with real world money. The are NO pay to win mehanics or features that can be bought.

    Conclusion:
I consider Diablo 4 a masterpiece of the Hack and Slash gendre, limited only by the gendre itself in terms of what it has to offer.

It is worth unvesting you time and money because Blizzard did it right this time!

You get two amazing cinematics, 1 of them being the game launch cinematic, awfully scripted storyline portraited through cutscenes. Lorath's voice acting is on point but his lung cancer voice seriously gets on your nerves after cutscene #29. Not to mention how hard they push you to use their in game shop after having already paid 60, 90 or 100 dollars. Game design is awful as always from Blizzard, bland talent tree, green and red tooltips making us think we're stupid and can't figure out what's better ourselves. UI feels extremely mobile because the game is catered to console users for maximum profit. Further, they're giving us only a few keybinds and they're massive and glued to under your action bar and cannot be turned off.

Stop feeding greed, force AAA game companies to go back to the basics of game design and not
chase maximum profit for minimum effort, ruining every single artistic and fun aspect that good games can bring.

The skills just don't feel as devistating when they hit. The customization of your characters are so limited that you can't do a bad build. Each skill points adds like 20 - 50 extra damage, or reduces / increases by 0.2 - 3%.
You don't feel like your some amazing hero smashing your way through thousands of monsters and more like another recruit sent into the grinder.

The gameplay itself is very similar to Diablo immortal, which for a F2P mobile game was adequate - but for a triple A flagship title all I can say is Diablo 4 feels half baked and unpolished.

The "Skill Tree" is essentially a linear "choose one" skill selector, and the paragon board only gives an illusion of depth and diversity, which seriously detracts from the long term replayability of Diablo 4, which has always been the franchises strength. More than anything however - is that it just wasn't fun, even in the early access beta when everything was new and shiny it just felt like a boring version of any other generic low budget ARPG. I know comparing it to Diablo Immortal might come off as a slur, but it really does feel like the closest analogue in terms of feel and fun, and in some respects I think I liked Diablo Immortal better.

I'm sad to find that this game fell flat on it's face, as with any other game in the Diablo franchise I was looking forward to many years of at least casual engagement, but I found myself bored, uninterested and just not caring shockingly fast.

In preparation for this review, I ended up asking myself - would I play this game if it was F2P - and ultimately, no, this isn't worth even my time - I have better games to play, and just touching grass would be a more rewarding experience than spending a couple hours in Diablo 4. Considering this is a full price $70 (minimum) game with already oodles of premium add-ons, micro transactions, battle passes and more - I question how the standards of developers have slipped so far.

Diablo IV is the perfect evolution of the series. The many new features make for a truly modern title, giving us an experience capable of keeping us glued to the controller for many hours, without neglecting the historical and most beloved features of the series. If we add to this a technical aspect of the highest quality, a very accessible multiplayer structure, and a huge end-game, we obtain a majestic title that stands as the best exponent of the action-RPG genre and is capable of bringing us plenty of emotions.

Diablo IV is the culmination of everything Blizzard has set up before to make one ultimate experience. The world is stunning, drowned in a beautiful soundtrack that makes even the smallest moments feel epic. With a deep character system, satisfying combat and an endgame that feels like only the start of your adventure, it's hard not to recommend. Dig in, experiment with classes, fight some demons and loot some dungeons. You won’t regret it.
