    Sadly wasn't what I anticipated at all, fell for the marketing and social media hype by the PR companies. Comparatively to it's own predecessors no items, end game, or social aspects minus a few superficial ones despite forced online play.

    Search Actman Diablo 4 and watch any of his related reviews. Search Blizzard lawsuits.

    I scheduled my G.D. vacation time for the D4 release & 3 days into playing it stopped being fun. I'm still upset. What a scam.

    The once great Blizzard North was bought out over a decade ago and none of the brilliant minds still work there at what is now called Activision Blizzard. I didn't know this until after buying D4. Blizzard pumps out flashy games with no substance and puts the Blizzard stamp on it to cash in on nostalgia and utilize predatory in game cash transaction practices. Their games are pure marketing & sales. Look at reviews for any of their games in the last decade. I wish I had.

    Don't believe the positive critic reviews or the fake positive reviews masquerading as negative ones. Blizzard pays for those to confuse people

    Made the mistake to give Blizzard one more chance. Before Season 1 it was both better and worse than i expected. The Store and Mechanics weren't that bad. I had seen worse coming from Overwatch. But the game itself was a bit disappointing. The story is braindead and the bosses are just bulletsponges. Animations are so flashy and often overlap to a point that you cant possibly see whatsMade the mistake to give Blizzard one more chance. Before Season 1 it was both better and worse than i expected.     I'd give the game a 5/10 on launch. Went downhill in season 1. Once you hit level 80 and upgrade a few pieces of gear it's possible to spend 50 hours without one single upgrade. Shame on Blizzard for making a great franchise so incredibly boring! It should be mandatory that everyone working on this game should have to play Diablo 1-3 first.     Unfortunately its very boring you have a very limited amount of skills which lead to stale gameplay and it just not fun in anyway i played for about 15 hours in total then quit D2 is a much better game still

    Finished the campaign. Haven't really logged back into the game after this. Nothing really keeps me playing. It's just a grind. And they want you to pay more money for passes and store items. My time is best spent elsewhere.

    I have to say the graphic is excellent, but the game feeling is not so good, max level 100 is a quite long journey to go. I believe many of them quit in the middle.

    Activision is the worst company ever, they sell a ptoduct for $70 like this or call of duty and plaster the store and pop ups to get you to buy something. But they know kids play these game so those are the people they are realing trying to get to buy those items. Im done buying Activision studio's games

    Pros: Great characters build setting, new game but mixed with old school Hack & Slash, Best story-lines in this franchise. Amazing atmosphere.
    Cons: Endgame content doesn't appear to me. Druid's class took too slow to level up.
    Concluded: Great game, must buy - 7/10
    Updated: I just changed my score back to 4 due to the latest season completely awful

    I've played every Diablo game on release. This is the worst of them all. I played this less than Diablo Immoral. Lackluster campaign. Boring, monotonous endgame. Definitely not worth the money.

I am running around all over the world do quests and side quests (that seems in no way connected to character development … would be better to send us to a carnival and play whack a mole to level up). I am not an orator nor a game aficionado …. I don’t follow a lot of franchises, but this is one I do. Lifeless, pointless, dysfunctional, unorganized, random gameplay with even less creative skills and equipment system.     The only reason I have any hope for this game after 2 months is that it might get OK in 5, probably 10 seasons. Right now it is of early access quality. Do NOT buy, Do NOT play except the minimum for season...unless you are masochistic

    Massively disappointed by the newest diablo release. No incentives to continue playing as soon as you finish the rather uninspired campaign. E.g. ridiculous few unique items, rare items always drop with similar stats, ... Despite the visual boost, Diablo 4 feels like a massive downgrade to its predecessor. What a shame.

    I enjoyed it at first, and the powers seemed fun especially for a Druid. However, I just lost interest when they patched and made thing a lot worse. Every thing seems repetitive and grindy. Not everyone has the time or patience to do exact same thing again and again and again. If only this was more like Grim Dawn. Imagine Grim Dawn with this games'    It's like a 1 meter deep Ocean.

    Game was covered by an awesome story and animations but once you dig deep itemization sucks which was supposed to be the heart of any arpg game such as Diablo. It’s true that the old Blizzard is dead. Pre-season was decent 6/10 but from there just down the drain. Will not pre order Blizzard games on the foreseeable future.

    The campaign and story and art in this game is insane, blizzard always delivers on that front. However if you're looking for anything with depth, this game is absolutely not for you. Just go play Path of Exile.

    Don't support this terrible company. You will get exploited, playing their purposefully worse game just so their "engagement numbers" are up for the shareholders. Yuck! Avoid this like the plague.

    The July 18, 2023 patch 1.1 had zero, none, zilch, nada, sh!t, QOL improvements and simply made the game an unenjoyable grind. The satisfaction of playing this game has dropped across the board - Google it. Diablo IV players are livid across Reddit, Twitter, etc. - as we should be. I would not recommend this game in it's current state.

    Cuando llegas al final de golpe te encuentras que no, que aún es peor. El sistema de drops está tan roto como lo estuvo en el 3 al salir, cosa que no tiene sentido porque en teoría aprendieron de ese fallo. Pero no, bastones para mago con fuerza, espadas a dos manos con inteligencia, y así todos los ítems. Si fuese de otra gente pues aún dirías mira, para cuando esté barato en Steam, pero como es Blizzard ni Steam ni barato ni nada, ha salido mal.
    Hubo una época que Blizzard casi presumía de que por cada juego que sacaban habían cancelado unos cuantos, porque sólo querían lo mejor y blablabla. Este juego, el remake de Warcraft 3 y lo de Overwatch 2 demuestran que esa Blizzard ya no existe.
    Tengo esperanzas que algún día arreglen Diablo IV, volver a instalar el juego y volver a la rutina de jugar un porrón de horas cada temporada que saquen, pero está tan lejos de ese punto y los antecedentes de Blizzard estan tan claros que a mi me da que esto va a quedar así. Y ya está.

    Feature incomplete, no real end-game content (ARPG without anything but leveling), underwhelming itemization with cluttered useless stats (making loot uninteresting, boring and upgrades almost impossible). Looks good (the game as a whole, because even armor is a copy/paste of models - there is even paid pieces of armor that are just retextures of the base armors), but everything above theFeature incomplete, no real end-game content (ARPG without anything but leveling), underwhelming itemization with cluttered useless stats (making loot uninteresting, boring and upgrades almost impossible). Looks good (the game as a whole, because even armor is a copy/paste of models - there is even paid pieces of armor that are just retextures of the base armors), but everything above the skin is bare bones with nothing but bad coding and incompetence behind - really bad coding (incomplete copy/paste level of bad, importing bugs from D3 1.0 and introducing a new range of unfunctional in games - from stats to imprints, with fixes that can take even a year to happen, if ever will be fixed). Good to notice also that balance does not exist at all - there are no players between the development team, just spreadsheet monkeys.

    Expensive game (70 dollars base game with "upgrade options" for whales and idiots), with macrotransations galore (ridiculous high prices, again, for whales and idiots), paid battle-passes (if this season is the rule, with no content inside and out, just a paid low-efort timesink).

    I don't believe the the game is "fixable" right now because is not even completed (maybe in two or three years if ever - because incompetence is the rule in the development of this mess).    … Expand

    After finishing the campaign the game is dead. It's very noticeable that the developers don't respect the player and do every update and game design to keep you in the game with no fun. A complete disrepect to the client. Don't buy it if you don't wanna be a part of this scam.

    I’m going to be completely honest. I knew I wasted 100 bucks when I entered my first dungeon and saw a pop up that told me that there is “a wild range of content” in them. Like to be truthful I don’t want to save people from a hole filled with demons anymore. I also don’t care for fetching and playing a f****** sleep paralysis simulator by back tracking pretty much 60 percent of the timeI’m going to be completely honest. I knew I wasted 100 bucks when I entered my first dungeon and saw a pop up that told me that there is “a wild range of content” in them. Like to be truthful I don’t want to save people from a hole filled with demons anymore. I also don’t care for fetching and playing a f****** sleep paralysis simulator by back tracking pretty much 60 percent of the time I’m in the dungeon because the map is undiscovered every time I do the same exact dungeon. This game was only fun the first time I played it. The first time…. This game is boring as h***. Dungeon after dungeon after dungeon with little to no incentive to explore the okay world unless you are doing helltide. Which by the way, is also boring as h***. There needs to be some serious polishing of characters abilities as well as you will only logically be able to use one f****** ability per class. No set items, boring aspects which are pretty much subject to nerfs if they are decent, this game genuinely needs more endgame content. Its technical on a high standard, but i don´t now why this game is too boring. i way paying it for hours and hours. started four characters and hoping this kicking moment will come soon. it didn´t happened. I would like to give this game a chance and i was looking forward for many months. But anyway: Blizzard. You did a bad job. I am disappointed.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. As a game playtester myself, this is a AAA++ title, released for full retail price, that is in reality a beta. I have played enough beta versions, pre-release titles by indie devs to see it plain as day. Do not spend money on this game. Do not support this company, do not support Microshaft/Blizzard/Activision/King. There are shameful business practices in place to milk the consumer of every single dollar & cent possible, with zero shame or remorse. The cash shop was in place on pre-release. IE, myself, someone who paid for the Ultimate Edition, aka I could physically not pay more for the retail price of the game, was not given 100% of the game's content, which was behind a paywall. This is the OnlyFans of video games. More than a bait and switch, there is no fish, no meat. The game itself is dull, boring and uninspiring.

    The story is this: Lilith is back, you chase her around, a **** ton of every potentially interesting NPC dies and leaves, and you go and put Mephisto's soul in a new soul stone you craft. Because Lilith was after him to try to gain power so she could stop the war on Sanctuary. You then go and murder Lilith cuz reasons. My own character is not my own character; they are an NPC added in last minute, in what I would refer to as Lilith the MMO, or Diablo IV beta, take your pick. The story has no good plot to it, I skipped nearly all of it as my own character has nearly zero interactions. You will sit and watch cutscenes that don't involve your own character at all, engage in "dialogue" that your own character barely has any lines for, and then run to kill more meaningless bosses, to go and sit and watch other NPC's chat.

    This is by far, the worst video game I have ever played. Items are bad, loot is bad, voice acting is bad, music is bad. The art is amazing...but I can't tell where my character needs to walk, as I can't make out a door from a wall.

    The game itself is not fun. My own motto for a slogan for it would be, "I can't keep from putting it down!" You will have 99% boredom playing alone. The forced multiplayer is a giant detractor for me. You will have kids running up to you, spamming the voice emotes, ruining your immersion. Speaking of, your own hero will never feel as such. Just another generic adventurer, dashing around town to try to scrap maybe an ounce more power out of the **** gear you have found. As the game also has leveled enemies. So you will always face the exact same level as your own, you never feel strong, or powerful. There is no going back to farm a previous zone or region, to possibly get new items for a new character or new build you might want to try. You can get say, x1 item for something new, hope to try a build around that & miserably fail.

    This game is bad, bad beyond words, bad beyond comprehension. As a writer I can't think of any more blistering, scathing, deep seated rage & anger I've felt while in a game before, at having played this pile of trash. I've been called slurs in WoW that had less negative impact on me than this game experience has had on me, overall. From playing both betas, which were just server stress tests, with carrots of cosmetic items to get people to get playing the game initially. To the first x2 hours in game, dying, and realizing I had zero interest in even starting over again, no desire to play the Zero FunTM beginning of the game again. Where your hero is duped into helping some villagers, poisoned and is ready to be sacrificed to Lilith, when you have blood petals poured down your throat, which you puke up shortly after, but seems to really do nothing at all story wise after. Your own "character" is only important to the story, as a fact because they had an interaction w/ Blizzard's version of their own, "fan favorite" NPC in the franchise. There is barely a mention of Diablo, at all, in this entire Diablo game.

    I can not strongly enough express my boredom in playing this game. it is horrible, if there was ever a game that was an Anti-Diablo 2, as fun and a masterpiece as that was, this game is it. It is anti-fun mechanics on top of boring gameplay on top of bland music, dull, lifeless world and no content. It's a cash grab, not a business model. It is not, "just the way things are." I paid for an early release of the video game, The Forest. As it was from a tiny developer at the time, one who would need revenue to continue a project. This is the exact opposite of Blizzard, now a part of one of literally the largest companies on the planet. The cash shop is beyond ludicrous for its prices, most of which are 1/3 the base cost of the full retail game, for a single set. No cosmetic should cost more than barely a few dollars, for a free game at that. There should never, ever be a cash shop for a game that has a full retail cost.

The game has too few classes and the developers aren't worried with the balance of them. The inventory interface is terrible, there are missing many slots compared the real need of players and we need some kind of character exclusive storage chest for each character. The first season released content is a joke. The PvP area of the game is dead and they didn't release any new skins for it on season one. In summary we can't accept to pay a expansive price in a game and they release this kind of content as if the game were a beta test... because that's what it seems.… Expand

Get a body size slider in and get the druids gear looking far better than the trash that's been designed so far.

    Secondly after multiple patches all they've done is nerf our characters into the dirt, I play solo now because my friends gave up and I can't play because my characters been nerfed and I'm playing the way I want with the abilities I want I'm not changing my class around every single patch because Blizzard decides "no you're having fun with that build that's not allowed" As it stands I've given up and won't go back to playing and certainly won't invest money into something I'm not having fun with. Где весь тот фан что я получал в д3? Где он? Вижу что они пытались быть как д2, но в д2 интересный дроп, тут же ничего интересного не падает вообще...

    So the 7 isn't because the story (apparently) sucks. It's a solid foundation of a game. The systems are solid but nothing extraordinary. The combat would probably excite me, but frankly it's so far below Lost Ark in that    I've never cared about the story in Diablo games. In fact, I almost always skip it.     Blizzard knows what they want to make this game great, but have no idea how to do so. Their philosophy and actual implementation are worlds a parts.

    Season 1 is terrible, you don't feel that you are significantly stronger than in the eternal realm. Will wait a few seasons and then see if they can turn it around.

From terrible updates to screwing you over with pricey battle passes(and currently useless), shows the same level of greed that has been getting worse for many franchises. Blizzard has failed their fan base with their greed and allowed a poor product to be released. Until they rectify this, it gets a poor score from me.

    Bought an Xbox Series X Diablo IV edition, had it for one week and they released a patch that made the game the most unfun I ever played. Played the patch for about 1 hour and haven’t touched the game since, would never have bought this piece of **** if I would have known.

    Bug exists on Xbox series x that causes intermittent to even specific scenario freezes. Blizzard has not    Update: 7/23/2023. The issue still persists. Was locked out for a week because it would crash when any character loaded into game. Tried reinstalling, system wipe and removing my account. Still no acknowledgement even with active forums complaining about it on both Xbox and PS5.

    Only rogue can use a bow.
    Only necromancer (!) can use a shield.
    Barbarian has to carry 4 weapons simultaneously even if he uses 1 or 2!

    It seems like n 8 year old was writing the logic behind this.

    Depth of character builds - non existent!
    You have one generator skill, one damage skill, one ultimate, other situational, that is it, you have to always play the same way - generate, then DPS, every single character.

    Visuals are good, but that's about it.
    Story very bleak. Progression is non existent.
    Camera is horrible, druid bear literally occupies half the screen.

    They could've just taken D3, add a noir atmosphere from D2, add some interesting mechanics from existing ARPGs, and that's it, with the popularity of the franchise there was absolutely no chance of failure!

    Instead we have this steaming pile of bs, that will get you bored in several days, once you figure out the builds (2-3) of them for each character.

    To say that's a disappointment is to say nothing. Diablo 3 it's a much better game, D2 is just miles ahead from this.    … Expand

    The initial build delivered that fun, then slowly removed it under the pretense that it was game breaking. Given the complex mechanics, it is bound to happen that a few players figure out how to max out their DPS. It makes good content and    I thought the goal of a game was to have fun, who cares if 1% of the community min/maxes and finishes the top boss in a few seconds, to each their own.

    Blizzard needs to start thinking about the reasons people are doing what they are doing in diablo 4 to actually tackle the problem of the game. Why are people boosting alts, why are we in a rush to get to level 85 or 100, why do all the builds max out vulnerable and crit damage...

    Instead of tackling the topical issues, why not address the root ones : content, new classes, having different builds be usable, more world tiers, ability to play with friends at at level and everyone getting meaningful progression.

    Instead of slowing down players and restrict them why not embrace their ingenuity & interest in the game and build things to incentivise people to play, bring in new players, explore, participate in public events, create new characters play all parts of the content together?    … Expand

    I loved Diablo III.You literally botched iv Blizzard.Way too much to grind.Im not saying I wanted it to be easy but you nerfed the snot out of subclasses skills yet the hoards across the map are untouched.     Diablo IV is the perfect evolution of the series. The many new features make for a truly modern title, giving us an experience capable of keeping us glued to the controller for many hours, without neglecting the historical and most beloved features of the series. If we add to this a technical aspect of the highest quality, a very accessible multiplayer structure, and a huge end-game, we obtain a majestic title that stands as the best exponent of the action-RPG genre and is capable of bringing us plenty of emotions.

    Diablo IV is a social phenomenon and once again sets a new standard for the genre. It's a dark, spooky, action-packed experience. Combat is frantic, fluid and fun, while micro-management of resources and inventory feels better than ever before.

    Diablo IV is the culmination of everything Blizzard has set up before to make one ultimate experience. The world is stunning, drowned in a beautiful soundtrack that makes even the smallest moments feel epic. With a deep character system, satisfying combat and an endgame that feels like only the start of your adventure, it's hard not to recommend. Dig in, experiment with classes, fight some demons and loot some dungeons. You won’t regret it.
