Not the best yakuza game, but keeps the great storytelling and is for sure a great Way to Handle your time

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. So far, Yakuza 3 is my least fav. in the series. But, I never did play the originals and began with Yakuza 0, and after playing that, Kiwami 1 and Kiwami 2, the difference is very noticeable. However, story is still good, main side character of Rikiya was a good addition and there was some funny moments with him, including the Hotel elevator scene lol. Seeing Haruka become more dependent and mature for her age was nice. Overall its good. Expand

The story line is the best aspect of this game. Sometimes i felt like i was playing a how-to-dad-game, and sometimes, I felt like i was on vacation. Those were strange but interesting feelings.

There isn’t a bad Yakuza game, but Yakuza 3 Remastered on Xbox is the weakest in the series. Its lengthy introduction takes up about a third of the entire story, whilst it also lacks some of the quality of life improvements found in later versions. But it is still a solid entry, and worth playing through to see the foundations of Kiryu’s later life beginning.

Yakuza 3 Remastered is not a bad game, but it is the worst Yakuza. It's a game that dares to make big changes but lacks the pace to generate as much interest as the previous instalments. As a remaster, the 1080p and 60fps falls short.
