Yakuza 3 Remastered is not a bad game, but it is the worst Yakuza. It's a game that dares to make big changes but lacks the pace to generate as much interest as the previous instalments. As a remaster, the 1080p and 60fps falls short.

There isn’t a bad Yakuza game, but Yakuza 3 Remastered on Xbox is the weakest in the series. Its lengthy introduction takes up about a third of the entire story, whilst it also lacks some of the quality of life improvements found in later versions. But it is still a solid entry, and worth playing through to see the foundations of Kiryu’s later life beginning.

This review contains spoilers, click full review link to view. + The main story is good as always
    + Some coole side quests
    - Very lame beginning, spending hours helping kids with their stupid problems. Its like an orphanage-simulator until chapter 5(!) and again in Chapter 10. Very much to read, nearly no cutscenes
    - Many sidequeats dont offer a waypoint/marker so you are mostly complitly lost where to go without opening the menu and read the quest description.
    - Furthermore there are some main missions where you are looking after kids which are lost in town... again going searching and searching without any hints.
    - The amount of street gangster is annoying
    - Many invisible walls in town
