    Nothing else quite like it. By no means a luck-based arcade racer. I think fans of the mainline Forza games will enjoy once they get used to the mechanics. Takes time to get good, which is refreshing. Can't wait for the sequel!

    The graphics are great, and I can actually get a buzz out out of the experience when you're full throttle zooming through the countryside. This IS a first for any motorcycle game, so kudos there.

    The controls however, on a standard gamepad, is too touchy to really enjoy. The best way I can explain this is using motorcycle terms - that is, the "trail" of the joystick (distance between the center point and the outer edge of the joystick) is way too short on a stubby analog thumbpad to fine-tune small movements on the bike. To be fair to the game however, this is true for any motorcycle game, and can be somewhat overcome with a longer joystick where you can have better control over minute portions of movements.

    But on the flipside, even with a joystick, that the game would replicate anywhere near the real physics of riding is... not true for me... and yes, like a lot of others who claim this on the reviews here, I do happen to ride and race. This is because onlike car sims where you can actually somewhat replicate all the necessary inputs for controling a car (steering wheel, shift lever and clutch pedal), it's practically impossible to do this on a motorbike sim (at least with current technology that I know of). I think Kevin Schwantz said it best when he stated that just sliding your butt around an inch or two on the seat can greatly impact the controlling abilities of the bike - in other words, you also use your body in controling a motorycle. The game does try this a touch for negating wheelies and such, but to say that it accurately reflects reality would be a big stretch. Programs like GT Academy has proven that someone can successfully transition from car sims to real auto racing, but I can't imagine the same for motorcycle racing -- at least not on a consumer-level equipment (and even commercial, if there are any) any time soon.

    So where does this leave me? For motorcycle games, I'll stick to unrealistic, arcadey games MotoRacer, Trials series, etc.    … Expand

    To start, im going to start with my positives. Graphics. The graphics are UNREAL, theyre SO good. I can recognize every iconic spot on the Mountain course instantly, and they nailed the feeling of speed perfectly, something that sometimes Ride 2 somewhat lacked. The bikes look amazing as well. Second positive is the sound. Its very hard to match what a 500cc two stroke v4 engine sounds like, but this is something that once again they managed, unlike Ride2.

    Well, thats about it for positives if I'm honest, and this is where the sour taste in my mouth is gonna take over.
    HANDLING. The handling is a JOKE. I have been playing the MotoGP and Ride series games for a while now, and Milestone has really gotten the feeling of how a motorcycle handles nailed down. But with TT it almost feels as if they took the handling physics from a CAR GAME for MOTORCYCLES. Besides leaning over, the bikes dont handle like bikes. They spin out without flipping, with multiple instances of me sliding down the track at a 90 degree angle to the direction I am moving, and only falling once I hit something. Thats PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE for a motorcycle to do. Theres arcadey physics, and then theres this. Rider weight adjustment is non-existant, with many of my offs having happened because the game decides that i just happen to be going one direction with no way for me to change my fate.
    Another negative was the slight lack in content. While at first glance, it appears to be chock full of events and riders, there is no rider customization aside from 3 colors you chose at the beginning of Career mode, with no way to change it later down the line. The bikes and riders they have are very good, but again, lacking some of the most famous names in Road Racing. And there are only the SuperSport and Superbike categories(with sidecar as dlc), where as they should habe also included superstock, lightweights, and the ZeroTT electric bikes. And besides the Snaefell Mountain course, the fictional tracks are so lacklustre it turns the career mode into a grind.
    Finally, the price. For $72 for the base game, I would expect the game to be pretty damn good, but with all the flaws I have listed, it almost feels like an unfinished money pit. To put it in perspective, the latest MotoGP game is $50, and even though its basically last years game, i know that the game is going to be a 80% satisfaction rate right off the bat(for me personally) because its going to be well rounded off.

    In finale I would have to say that this would be a great game for those looking for a starter motorcycle racing game, or those just wanting to expand their IOMTT swag collection. However, if you are looking for a motorcycle sim, look towards the MotoGP and Ride series.    … Expand

However once mastered it is very exciting, rewarding, and addictive. This is a MOTORCYCLE SIMULATOR. Fans of the video game series MotoGP and WSBK should buy with haste.     This game has so much potential. Yet, it is wasted away by the the tacked on content and features.

    To start off with, the handling, feels fairly simple at first. But then after a few hours of riding.     The audio is where this game really shines though. The detail is very much appreciated as your motorbike roars through each gear, with the exhaust backfiring as you move up and down the gears. It's a real treat for the ears.

    The graphics are fairly standard for any racing game. Nothing to shout home about here.

    Lastly, the game modes on offer are fairly lackluster. The career mode is pretty lifeless, just offering you race after race with no real sense of progression. It's also not very friendly towards players who this might be their very first motorbike game. The fact that you have to finish first in order to gain ANY money is a bit harsh. At least give the player some money for finishing 2nd or 3rd.

    My conclusion is, if you're really desperate to get this game. I would recommend holding off until it has been patched or it is on sale for a considerably lower price.    … Expand

    Paid full price on release date to race the 37 mile Snaefell course (one lap is about 18 minutes) and being a fan of the TT I can say it was worth every penny for that alone. Guy who lives on Isle of Man told me while playing multiplayer online that it's a very accurate reproduction of the real circuit. Highly recommend to fans of the TT. Xbox One X enhanced, looks great in 4k!     So near, yet so far. That's my initial impressions of a week with TT - Ride on the edge. As a massive motorcycle and TT fan, i have been really looking forward to finally playing this game. However, the initial excitement has rapidly turned into disappointment. There are some amazing aspects of the game and equally, there are some massively obvious omissions.
    First let's look at the good    So near, yet so far. That's my initial impressions of a week with TT - Ride on the edge. As a massive motorcycle and TT fan, i have been really looking forward to finally playing this game. However, the initial excitement has rapidly turned into disappointment. There are some amazing aspects of the game and equally, there are some massively obvious omissions.
    First let's look at the good bits:-
    The 37 mile Snaefell course is replicated in all it's incredible glory. Everything is there. Every bend, every bump, every piece of road furniture and flying along the track at speed is an incredible experience. The sense of speed (especially in first person views) is second to none. It really does give the player an idea of the lunacy that is the IOM TT and the skill and bravery of the riders who take it on.
    Framerate and rendering is acceptable although sometimes at certains parts of the track at certain times of the day it can get very dark and difficult to see where you are going (probably like the real thing i guess)
    The Bikes and riders are rendered well and add to the realism.
    The sounds. Bikes sound realistic and the wind noise as the bike gains speed is reflective of riding a motorcycle for real.
    from here on it starts to get a bit more negative though
    Although there are several other tracks (9), they are fictional and not that inspiring. The game could have been amazing if other popular road racing circuits had been included. North West 200, Ulster GP, Macau for example. As it is, you find yourself ignoring the other tracks in favour of the Snaefell circuit.
    Number of classes - Superbike and supersport. That's it. no lightweights, no sidecars (coming in a future update apparently), No Superstock, No Zero TT (electric bikes, this would have been really different) This really limits the games longevity
    Number of bikes - No yamahas, No Suzukis!! None...At all!! What would have been great would have been to add some classic TT machinery (along with riders) Hislop on the RC30, Joey Dunlop on various machines, Foggy, David Jeffries, Hailwood, Agostini etc. Which also brings me on to riders...
    Some notable omissions - Guy Martin, Dan Kneen, Josh Brookes and of course a very long list of possible riders from History. How can you have a TT game without Joey? Why go to the trouble of recreating the course and then only utiiise it for a few current riders and bikes? for me this is a big miss and could have really driven the games appeal.
    Career mode - This feels like an afterthought. Simply buy a bike, race around the 9 tracks plus parts of the Snaefell track. win money, buy new bike, repeat. No sponsorship (that i've found), no performance parts, nothing to make career mode more interesting. It would have been great to start as an amateur running their bike from the back of a van and using any winnings to upgrade parts on their bike until faster and better bikes could be bought but there is nothing like this. The bike you buy is the bike you race.
    Lack of any performance enhancing facility. Either by way of adding performance parts or by way of tuning ride and handling characteristics. Even a simple interface to alter braking and turning would help.
    No structured tutorial or race school. You're shown left, right, stop and go and then thrust into the game
    But the most frustrating aspect - Handling and gameplay
    With very little in way of tutorials, you are thrust into trying to race around some pretty unforgiving tracks.
    Trying to control a motorcycle with a joypad is difficult but other games (Ride 2 I'm looking at you) make it feel much more rewarding and realistic whilst being a little more forgiving.
    I accept that riding the TT at speed is never going to be easy, ad that's part of the point but i dont accept that the way the bikes handle is representative of real life and this really lessens the enjoyment of the game. The worst handling gremlin is the bikes tendency to oversteer uncontrollably if you do not straighten up after a turn in time. The bike simply seems to stop responding to steering input and ploughs uncontrollably into the side of the track. Sometimes it feels like the bike does this in spite of the input from the user. It is incredibly frustrating to feel like you have had control taken from you rather than as a result of your own error.
    This seems to be a common complaint amongst other users, so it's not just me ;)
    I'm sure will put off the more casual gamers from persevering with it.
    No rewind! Crash and your race is done, it's very difficult to catch up.
    AI is very poor
    Overall - The snaefell circuit is rightly the star of the show but beyond this the game feels empty and not finished. There is so much more that could have been added to really make this a classic. in the short term the bike handling really needs to be sorted out though.    … Expand

    El juego te lo quieren vender como que es dificil pero la cosa no es asi. Esta ROTO Todas las dificultades son idénticas y el control no esta nada pulido. El juego se vera muy bonito aunque se mueva a unos horribles 30 FPS. Videjuego que hasta que no se parchee a fecha de hoy es injugable.

    I absolutely love watching the Isle of Man TT races and I’ve actually been to see a race live before, which was a fantastic experience. When TT Isle of Man: Ride On The Edge was first announced I was very excited to say the least and thankfully they’ve done the series justice and they’ve done a wonderful job of capturing the true feeling of the races. The gameplay that’s present in theI absolutely love watching the Isle of Man TT races and I’ve actually been to see a race live before, which was a fantastic experience. When TT Isle of Man: Ride On The Edge was first announced I was very excited to say the least and thankfully they’ve done the series justice and they’ve done a wonderful job of capturing the true feeling of the races. The gameplay that’s present in the game has a very realistic feel to it and the bike physics feel on point most of the time, which is great. There is a decent selection of bikes for you to race with and each bike feels unique in its own right, so trying out each bike was worth it. There are quite a few circuits for you to race these fantasic bikes on and you can tell straight away that a lot of care and effort has gone into making these circuits as realistic as possible, and this without a doubt makes riding on them a very immersive experience. Unfortunately there isn’t a great deal of content for you to sink your teeth into and I would have definitely liked more because the game is very enjoyable. The career mode is pretty decent but once again it lacks in content and in my opinion this is the only thing that’s really holding the game back because everything else is pretty much perfect. They do try to combat the lack of content by offering you an online component and I must admit that I really enjoyed this aspect of the game. Everything holds up really well when playing online and I have had many adrenaline-fuelled races already and the best thing is that each race feels incredibly different, which will definitely give the game some replayability. The presentation side of the game is fantastic from start to finish in my opinion. Visually the game looks stunning at times and all of the little details that are included make the racing even more immersive. The sound of the bikes really do sound realistic and when you combine that with the excellent visuals the realism can be off the charts at times. At the end of the day TT Isle of Man: Ride On The Edge is without a doubt one of my favourite bike racing games I’ve ever played. They have put a lot of effort in their offerings and that can be seen throughout your time with the game and if the game had more content then you would be talking about a game that’s pretty much perfect. If you’re a fan of bike racing games then I fully recommend that you purchase this game because it will give you a huge amount of thrilling action.… Expand

    Realistic and exhilarating, TT Isle of Man lets you experience the rush of speed and danger without the risk of falling off the ramp. We can't guarantee your gamepad is safe, though.
