I have rated this game as a 6 cause it is very disappointing in my eyes. When I think of The Final Season, I think of missed potential. I can agree that Seasons 2 and 3 didn't feel as strong as Season 1, but at least the gameplay was as solid as ever. Unfortunately, that isn't the case here. When I think of The Final Season, I think of missed potential. I can agree that Seasons 2 and 3 didn't feel as strong as Season 1, but at least the gameplay was as solid as ever. Unfortunately, that isn't the case here. For whatever reason, the gameplay from the last three games, (we can't forget about the flawless Mini Series:Michonne game), was ditched. Now combat is less fluid and dependent upon QTE moments and instead is replaced with repetitive combat that I found to be extremely frustrating. Removing QTE combat this late into the franchise would be like removing driving from Gta V. The first episode started strong in this game and it went downhill from there. The boarding school and the cast of it served the first episode well and then they overstayed their welcome quickly. The return of a fan favorite character was a highlight and I looked forward to seeing their home and that was never shown. You are forced to help the boarding school cast even if you play as a Rogue Clementine like I do. I do enjoy the Clementine and AJ moments and it was interesting with how your dialogue and actions will shape who he will grow up to be. There were some great moments in this franchise and I cried like a baby when the credits rolled, but I found the gameplay, overall story, and achievements that you cannot automatically get through story progression, to all be terrible changes for a final game. This Season should have been a knockout homerun from start to ending and yet it still was a reminder that Season 1 was still never beaten as the best Walking Dead game from start to finish. Expand

It’s easy to say that Episode 4 of The Walking Dead: The Final Season brings the Clementine journey full circle, which it does, but what’s more impressive is how the storytelling throughout this season has allowed us to see all of her best traits. As a finale it never lets up and not once will it deliver a dull moment.

In ending Clementine’s story and the Walking Dead Final Season, players get a sense of fulfillment, as the ending only feels natural for everything that Clem and AJ have been through.
