    It’s not the best remake in the world, but at least it still respects the fun of the original.

    House of the Dead: Remake is a great blast from the past that will satisfy that nostalgic itch and provide plenty of gory fun. On Xbox, however, you lose out on much of the feel of the title and are left fighting against the controls. If it’s your only option then there is still enjoyment to be had here, but if you have access to a PlayStation, Switch or PC, then I’d recommend picking it up on there instead.

    The House of the Dead: Remake is a lovingly crafted remake of an arcade classic that unfortunately fails on a fundamental level with its subpar control scheme. Without true lightgun support, it’s a difficult recommendation.

    This great looking remake should please longtime fans. It's fast-paced, gory and filled with challenges and secret rooms. The Story modeThis great looking remake should please longtime fans. It's fast-paced, gory and filled with challenges and secret rooms. The Story mode (which has four difficulty levels) can be played with a partner using competitive or cooperative rules. There is also a Horde mode which increases the number of zombies. Extra guns can be unlocked if you save all the scientists and cheat codes can also be earned. A gallery mode displays artwork of the weapons and enemies. Sadly, there are some tech issues such as small pauses and long loading times. Overall, this remake isn't as good as "The House of the Dead: Overkill". But it's on par with "The House of the Dead III". I would rate it with a 7.3 out of 10.… Full Review »

    The controls are horrible and the frame rate is anysmal! This game does not deserve your support.
