Superheat: Mind Control Delete still places you outnumbered, and outgunned. Enemies swirl around you in a storm of slow motion violence that moves at your pace. Battle after battle, each fallen foe pushes you closer to the secrets hiding in the game and each secret gives you more powers to fight the system’s defenses. Enemies swirl around you in a storm of slow motion violence that moves at your pace. Battle after battle, each fallen foe pushes you closer to the secrets hiding in the game and each secret gives you more powers to fight the system’s defenses. A familiar reflection of what the original game managed to be, but a slew of new threats, demented twists and further reinforcing of smart tactics to compensate for such unpredictability result in Superhot: Mind Control Delete ending up a great addition to the Superhot experience. While the game feels like an extension of it's predecessor rather than a completely new experience that isn't necessarily a bad thing. The things that were great about the 1st game are present while taking the experience to a new level. The game remains unique and keeps from feeling stale throughout. There is a very unusual ending (no spoilers) and the game will not allow you to run through again for 8 hours after completing the experience. There are ways around the 8 hour wait if you look online but I won't go into them here. In summary SUPERHOT has another hit on their hands and this game was offered free to those that purchased the original game on their Xbox One consoles so that was quite a nice gesture and fans of the series can rejoice. If you haven't played the series I strongly suggest checking it out as all is not what t appears to be, you might just be in for quite a great experience as a newcomer to the franchise. Expand

Yes, this is a simple sequel. It is more of the same. But sometimes you don't need to change it up too much. How much do we change baseball or football every year? This formula still feels fresh, fun, and somehow equally as action packed and thrilling as it is strategic and puzzling. I loved it.

Even with its new roguelike progression structure, you almost always get that ‘one more time’ feeling, wanting to progress just one more node before you turn it off. Combat is exciting and intense, especially once you have a string of good hacks installed. Even though it’s incredibly repetitive at its core, it doesn’t ever feel as if it wears on you. If you enjoyed the original fluid combat of SUPERHOT, you’re going to really be excited for what MIND CONTROL DELETE adds to the mix. While it feels more like a great expansion than a fully-fledged sequel, SUPERHOT: MIND CONTROL DELETE really is super hot.

Superhot Mind Control Delete caters to and knowingly toys with the player’s thirst for something similar but different from what they already know and love.
