Sep 8, 2015Despite its shortcomings, Super Toy Cars really is a lot of fun, and a breath of fresh air from a very under appreciated genre. An obvious labour of love.
-
Sep 7, 2015With plenty of tracks and cars on offer, a variety of surprisingly fun game modes and local multiplayer for up to four players, Super Toy Cars does offer some fun for your £7.99 and can certainly fill that Mario Kart/Micro Machines-sized hole in the Xbox One’s library for the time being, but don’t expect it to be anywhere near the quality of the classics that inspired it.
-
Sep 10, 2015Super Toy Cars presents us a nice toy racer capable of recalling youth memories, but it's unfortunately hindered by several physics, collisions and balancing problems, while it's also missing features present in other versions of the game.
-
Sep 15, 2015Unlike the PC version, which has been on Steam for a few months, there is no online component or a track creator. There’s not a big sense of creativity in the track design or even the game design, it’s all run of the mill kart racer, which is disappointing as the Xbox One has the most limited range of games in this particular genre.
-
Sep 4, 2015Super Toy Cars is a seemingly rushed and unfinished port of a barely average game.
-
Sep 4, 2015Super Toy Cars is not a good game. It's mechanically flawed, unfinished and generally more frustrating than it is fun. So, unless you're itching for a new tabletop racing game and happen to be willing to overlook such issues, this is one to avoid.
