This is a game of running at light speed, double-jumping like crazy, and perilously running across walls and over pits. The levels are just so vast and give you plenty to explore, and the collectables are fun to seek out as well. Throw in an intriguing story and you have one of the best indie 3D platformers in years. If you can withstand a true platforming challenge, don't let this one pass you by.

All around, Super Cloudbuilt took me from a baby just learning how to walk all the way to an angsty teenager yelling at the screen. A full blown adult who’s in full control of his movement? No way—I’m barely that in real life, but I reached a level of confidence that brought excitement and not apprehension when I leaped for a platform that might just be too far out of reach. Super Cloudbuilt isn’t a perfect experience, but a fun one without a doubt.

A challenging action-parkour game, with open levels and a good visual design.

Good looking & fun, Super Cloudbuilt carries the PC experience to PS4 and Xbox One offering a very interesting mixed platforming-parkour style. And it's hard as hell...

At the end of the day, Super Cloudbuilt is a well-designed and challenging game that just needs some minor tweaking to be a major player. The story is just uninteresting and the rewards for completing the levels of the game are lousy. There is definitely enough here – 4 branches of 9 or so levels, plus a hoard of challenges – to keep a parkour person happy... just don’t look for a higher meaning.

Those who love challenges and full speed action got their game with Super Cloudbuilt. A frantic platform with technopunk aesthetics that brings back from the past concepts such as checkpoints or lives, putting out of the frame autosaves.

Super Cloudbuilt is a game I thought I would enjoy playing and ignore the story. The reverse ended up happening. The narrative is interesting and the one thing that kept me playing. The game surrounding it fell flat for me on so many levels. I wanted to love it more than I did, but in the end it never clicked with me.

When everything comes together Super Cloudbuilt feels effortless; it’s smooth and gorgeous fun. It’s just a shame that those special moments aren’t more common.

Super Cloudbuilt is wonderful, it is everything Cloudbuilt wanted to be polished to perfection. I put over 900 hours into the original Cloudbuilt, and while the core mechanics were phenomenal and I obviously love it it did have some obvious flaws. The story was a notable weak point and the whole game lacked a sense of polish, on top of that several of the game modes were prone to crashing and a couple of bugs with the movement simplified the game to much at the highest level. I'm happy to say that all of that has been addressed in Super Cloudbuilt

The core of what made Cloudbuilt great is still here, that freedom of choice and the feeling of exploration is made all the more viceral by the redesigned levels and expansive design incorperated into every piece of the game. The movement is more refined, allowing new players to pick up the game more quickly and feel greater control over their motions. Demi feels as if she has actual weight and momentum now and the strange way Demi liked to get stuck on things in the original is gone.

The story and level select have been overhauled from the ground up. The hospital hub world is compact yet full of detail and the fact that Demi's monologues can be listened to inside loading screens or as you begin a new level keeps them from breaking the flow as they did in the original. The voice acting is also much improved, as well as the writing.

Finally, the polish. Everything about Super Cloudbuilt screams polish. The menus are sleek and modern, the inventory system is simple and effective, and everything is where you would expect it to be. All of this combined with a new global leaderboard system and the many gamemodes Cloudbulit has always had gives hours of content for those people who want to go fast while still providing rewards for those who want to play more casually.

For me Super Cloudbuilt is a 10/10, everything about this game is an improvement upon the original and it has earned it's spot as one of my favorite games of all time.
