Nov 18, 2017LOL is all I can say. Most are rightfully giving this a ZERO based on the horrid microtransactions. That alone deserves a zero. But don't forget the woman-power campaign that keeps getting shoved down our throats these days. That deserves a ZERO as well. Congrats EA, you get a DOUBLE ZERO from me LOL...

Nov 18, 2017Don't buy this pay to win game. I preordered the deluxe edition despite all the news about loot crates and microtransactions, and have contacted ea 3 separate times, and have still not gotten the extra 20$ worth of stuff I should've gotten.
Just don't buy it. -
Nov 18, 2017I have played it within 10 hours EA Access trial. This is a game designed as Pay-to-Win. Just to discourage such a behaviour in 60$ game - I am giving it an 0 point user score.
I cannot accept pay-to-win approach in game I have to pay the full price.
I know that now loot boxes are TEMPORARILY blocked. So I am waiting for permanently removal. Then I am open to change my scoring. -
Nov 18, 2017The game has a wonderful campaign with amazingly fun gameplay, alongside outstanding graphics, and sound effects. EA is also fixing the lootcrates and pay too win, so I will not hate on the game for EA's unfair systems.

Nov 18, 2017We're not going to take it anymore, EA.
You WILL realize that paywalls and random loot rolls for cash is predatory, wrong and irresponsible. Putting content behind gambling structures so children can waste their allowance is predatory and disgusting. Paying to win is detrimental to the gaming community.
YOU WILL FIGURE THIS OUT, IF WE HAVE TO HAMMER IT INTO YOUR HEADS. -
Nov 18, 2017Do not buy, we need to force EA to stop this **** If we don't there will soon be no games left to play, only stupid gambling apps. Do not trust them, microtransactions will be back.

Nov 18, 2017You’ll better off saving your money for the movie in December... There are many games out there that are well worth your money. Stay away from this greedy pay to win game...

Nov 18, 2017$TAR WAR$ Battlefront $ = EA
EA destroys a great saga as it is Star Wars, huge "microtransactions
Short campaign
EA sees us as fools to sell us this garbage -
Nov 18, 2017This game is pretty fun. I'm mostly an offline gamer and the story mode is terrific. I even delved into some mulitiplayer online and had a fun time w/ that as well. Great graphics, much improved from the first title. Me and the family having a lot of fun w/ this game.
Take note : My above impressions are for the game review not how a company does business. -
Nov 18, 2017"Star Wars Bugfront 2 #gambling and #pay2win
This game is a punch in the face from EA to all Star Wars fans. Buggy and pay2win. EA placed several mechanisms to assure you won’t get credits enough, they are forcing us buy loot boxes to progress or be ganked by rich people over and over again." - PoseidonTeam this is true !!!!! -

-
Nov 18, 2017It's not a game. It's money grab scheme with elements of game. Removing pay2win temporarily won't do anything because whole thing is built upon it. It will fall apart soon and they already looking for another way to squeeze last dollar out of you.
-
Nov 18, 2017The loot boxes were "turned off," not "fixed". The question you gotta ask yourself is this: "Does EA care enough about the consumer to leave them off when the heat dies down?" I think their history speaks for itself on how much they care about the consumer.

Nov 18, 2017Kill the star card system or game will die instantly on release.
Sad of this, played some hours, not earning anything, killed by high lvl cards all the time.
Who the hell was thinking this pay2win will work, and players will have fun???
Just sad, had really high hopes in this one.
Instantly rework this. Plz -

Nov 18, 2017They will add lootboxes back later, DO NOT BUY
we need Ea to lose a huge amount of money for them to stop being scummy, if that ever is possible,
just stop funding their bs. -
Nov 17, 2017Full of bugs, now that the microtransactions are gone there is no way to progress in the game, shows how fundamental the lootboxes are to unlock anything. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY LIKE I DID!
-
Nov 17, 2017Solid game (albeit, very similar to every other DICE game you have ever played)... but I don't care. How long are gamers going to let huge companies like EA and Activision screw them over? Hopefully this games current user score is an indication of how fed up people with a shred of self-control are with regards to MTs. Please don't buy this game.

Nov 17, 2017EA tries to please casual gamers and hardcore gamers at the same time, but the old saying about that stands true: jack of all trades, master of none. It's not casual enough to be arcade like, and not hardcore enough to be a Battlefield with a Star Wars skin. Also, the economy debacle is worse than anything I have ever seen in a game.
-
Nov 17, 2017doesn't make any sense with this typicall of money progression, im absolutely dissapointed with EA. do you think everybody in this world is rich ? damn you microtransaction
-
Nov 17, 2017EA tied to shove pay 2 win loot boxes down our throats. They tried to make us have to spend 40 hours to unlock 1 hero character. The "progression system" is still a complete joke. The only reason I'm giving this game a zero is that I can't give a negative rating.

-

Nov 17, 2017I doubt Dice wanted this crap progression system put into the game, they have made a beautiful and fun game, but EA forced this bull on them, the game doesn't deserve all these zero scores, the progression system does, hopefully they change it
-
Nov 17, 2017Pay to win does not belong in a $60 video game. And then there's the glitches, and unfinished story (which isn't that great), and everything dealing with progression in the multiplayer is all wrong. There's no sense of accomplishment. EA treats you and I, the customer, like we're idiots that deserve to be taken advantage of and I can't support this practice
-
Nov 17, 2017Seeing what is happening to Star Wars is making me sad.
The amount of greed this game offers is horrible.
No more games from EA for me. Same goes for DICE. -
Nov 17, 2017I was truly excited to play this game. The foundation is there. The game itself has plenty of redeeming qualities, until you get to the progression system. The progression system essentially ruins an otherwise good game which is sadly all based in greed and predatory transactions. For the sake of competitive gaming and honest business practices, I cannot give it a higher score than 0.
-
Nov 17, 2017Don't be fooled, there is not a good game behind all the controversy of the lootboxes. The game is mediocre, repetitive and the campaign doesn't even finish properly.
-
Nov 17, 2017
-
Nov 17, 2017dishonest business practices with crappy pay to win tactics on a 60 dollar game. score absolute ZERO. Gameplay looks average, but don't fall for the hype, pay to win will be back. Complete CRAP.
-
Nov 17, 2017The lootboxes are being fixed.
Its a perfect SW game that understands the most important thing about SW : lore.
The maps are source-book perfect (with minor alterations for gameplay)
The balsters feel great
the only issue is cross-era gameplay
What many dont understand is that :
Chars are FREE you cant buy them.
No season pass.

Nov 17, 2017So many good companies destroyed by EA. I love Star Wars and Disney has done really good with continuing the franchise with all areas but this. Disney please don't let EA destory Star Wars as well.
-
Nov 17, 2017As a game, it is great. However, all of the effort put into making it is ruined by the blatant corporate greed that has turned it into a pay-to-win game. Instead of working towards a solution to the credit earning problem, EA attempted to justify this greedy ideology. I feel a sense of pride and accomplishment for contributing to the rating that this game deserves.
-
Nov 17, 2017This is my first time to write review.
The reason is because the game itself sucks.
It only worth $10 and don't waste your time/money until the price get lower than $10. -
Nov 17, 2017We need to stop this vile threat. The pay to win mechanic means if you dont fork out hundreds of dollars ontop of this $60 purchase price, you are going to be stomped by moma's credit card.
This is an buggy pay2win free2play game, with all of the worst free2play tactics, at a premium price tag. -

Nov 17, 2017Congratulations, EA. You have earned one point. More points can be earned in 24 hours. Additional points can be purchased for $4.99 each. This is to give EA a sense of pride and accomplishment.
-
Nov 17, 2017I'm tired of EA screwing over their customers and milking Star wars along the way. I'm tired of their **** watered down games that are ALWAYS full of bugs.

Nov 17, 2017I was looking forward to this game as the first game isn't too bad, despite the lack of content on launch. Looking at Jim Sterling's video showing how buggy the game is. Shame they didn't spend more time on well you know, MAKING THE GAME instead of game breaking loot boxes. Where is this going to end?

Nov 17, 2017Star Wars Bugfront 2 #gambling and #pay2win

Nov 17, 2017Refunded this broken pay to win piece of garbage. Buyer beware, if you want to be successful you gotta grind and pay. They should be paying us to play their game because it just feels like work.

Official Xbox Magazine UKJan 5, 2018A stunning audio and visual presentation doesn't cover the cracks at the core. [Jan 2018, p.75]
-
games(TM)Dec 31, 2017Battlefront II is fan service and little else; much respect to the craft, the attention to detail and the wealth of content, but sadly it just isn't enough. It's starting to feel as if Star Wars simply isn't a franchise suitable for this type of sprawling, large-scale multiplayer experience. It doesn't have it in its bones, and if DICE can't find a way to make it work, we're fearful nobody can. [Issue#195, p.72]

Dec 22, 2017Star Wars: Battlefront 2 will go down as one of the biggest screw ups in video game history. EA and DICE had the easiest job in the world and completely ruined it with the absolutely ridiculous and downright unacceptable progression system for multiplayer. Combine that with the incredibly boring, lazy, and cliche story campaign and you easily have the biggest disappointment of 2017.
