Resident Evil Zero HD Remaster is easily the most unique of the old-school RE games and one that should be experienced if you're a fan of the series.

Another fine Capcom Resident Evil series HD Remaster that's worth the time and money to add to your collection.

Resident Evil Zero HD is a great opportunity to learn or refresh this quite demanding episode in the series' history. Door opening animations and controls may be somewhat archaic, but such is the beauty of this franchise.

Resident Evil Zero Remaster is exactly what the name implies. I had a blast returning to this entry, which is easily my least played in the series. It does enough different to help it stand on its own, even if some of those mechanics are archaic by today’s standards.

The HD remastering of Resident Evil Zero may not have everything that the remake of the first game had, but it does feel like a more improved version of the original GameCube release.

Familiar series hang-ups lead to signs of aging, but Resident Evil 0 HD’s core gameplay and horror element hold up remarkably well. Updated visuals and controls make the return trip to Raccoon City worthwhile.

Resident Evil 0 is a worthy entry in the Resident Evil franchise even though it lacks the scares and originality. It's often overshadowed by the first game, but not giving it a spin would be a grave mistake.

Capcom proves once again that it's quite good at this remastering lark. Resident Evil Zero HD is a brilliant update of another classic GameCube Resident Evil game for a modern audience that demands to be revisited once more or discovered for the first time. It's scary good.

Capcom did a good job porting the game from Gamecube to Xbox One, but its gameplay mechanics didn't age too well in the post-RE4 era and it could have used some more work on that front.

It's a single player game featuring cooperative mechanics. You're given the task to control two characters in tandem. This sounds like fun, but can be very frustrating. Basically, this series prequel would play better if it was 2 player co-op. Managing inventory is a pain since Rebecca and Billy can only carry six items at a time. As a result, you're constantly having to decide which thing is best to carry. Additionally, each character have their own unique abilities that really should belong to them both. For instance, only Billy can move heavy objects and only Rebecca can mix herbs. It can lead to moments of frustration if you decide to split them apart. I would highly advise to always have them stick together. Despite its flaws, the game is good. The HD remaster is gorgeous, even more so than the HD version of the remake. I would rate this with an 8.3 out of 10. Full Review »
