    An empty and boring world. Simulator of idiot on a horse. Poor quality graphics. Boring and uninteresting tasks.

    One of the greatest games ever made. Sets the bar so high that’s its tough to imagine what comes next. Incredible depth, story, music, everything. And all on a massive scale. Be sure to play through the entire Epilogue as it wraps it up so well.

    Any game where you have to eat or hunt to progress is too much like real life and defeats the point of a game! Beautiful graphics and story line but button layout is terrible and all the crafting is dull! No thanks, not for me.

    Après 3h de gameplay....j'ai laissé tomber et ranger dans ma collection...puis je l'ai vendu 1 mois après.
    En soit, les graphismes étaient géniaux sur la One X mais niveau gameplay je n'accrochais pas.

    One of the best games I have ever played and definitely a better game than the first Red Dead Redemption. Arthur Morgan is one of the best video game protagonists of all time and one who helped grip me into the Red Dead Redemption 2’s story. One of the most gripping games of all time and one that hooked me within my first few hours of playing. Fantastic Story, Gameplay and Visuals fromOne of the best games I have ever played and definitely a better game than the first Red Dead Redemption. Arthur Morgan is one of the best video game protagonists of all time and one who helped grip me into the Red Dead Redemption 2’s story. One of the most gripping games of all time and one that hooked me within my first few hours of playing.     Many have already said that this game is a masterpiece. And yes, it is. Impressive graphics that make me fold down my jaw, a story that doesn't offend my brain and varied missions and pastimes that don't make the game boring even after hours say it all. But what makes me sure that a game has worked is when the death of the main character makes me cry. Arthur's death didn't leave me cold.Many have already said that this game is a masterpiece. And yes, it is. Impressive graphics that make me fold down my jaw, a story that doesn't offend my brain and varied missions and pastimes that don't make the game boring even after hours say it all.     Can’t even play the goddamn online. Rockstar fix this, it’s been a couple of days and I can’t do anything as my game keeps disconnecting every one or two minutes

    The single player experience of this game is Outstanding, To be able to experience the old west in all its ugly glory was a blast. The online component however lacked the excitement and was quite glitchy and not quite as fun as living in the old west and the story was fantastic.

    One of my most anticipated games of the past few years, RDR2 didn't disappoint. I've put almost 450 hours into the game and still keep picking it up to go roam the countryside between playing other releases. The story was emotional and deeply involving, the game play fun and in-depth. The graphics are absolutely stunning and the sheer depth of the world itself is staggering. The soundtrackOne of my most anticipated games of the past few years, RDR2 didn't disappoint. I've put almost 450 hours into the game and still keep picking it up to go roam the countryside between playing other releases. The story was emotional and deeply involving, the game play fun and in-depth. The graphics are absolutely stunning and the sheer depth of the world itself is staggering. The soundtrack is one of the best ever devised for a video game. The opportunities to fail when following in the footsteps of Red Dead Redemption were many but RDR2 took all that was great in the original and elevated it. John Maston is one of the most beloved characters in the genre, but not only did Arthur Morgan match him, but for me he far surpassed the original. RDR2 is a masterpiece not only of it's medium and genre but also of how to make a proper sequel/prequel.
    Having read some of the lower scored reviews it seems a lot of the negative feedback is about the game's pace, but there are different games for different players and this is by far my favorite way to play a game. To immerse myself, to enjoy the ride from A to B and see what happens on the way. I took so many screenshots as I travailed that I actually hit my Xbox's limit. Something I didn't even know existed. This is a game to enjoy slowly, to sip and savour like a fine brandy. it is not a shot of vodka to be tossed back in one big gulp and swiftly forgotten.
    I've replayed the main story and it's epilogue, twice and am still finding new side missions, new characters and new locations to explore.    … Expand

    Years later, it is still such an incredible game! It is highly unlikely this game will ever be surpassed by anything else for the next decade. At least by anything made anyone other than Rockstar.
    This game is a must play! I would put it above many of my favorites film franchises! Such good character development, story, quality, and quantity. I do know how it can ever be surpassed.     that game made me to play all side quests and i really like it. i was so happy that i could finish game with the best ending. Plot and character are pretyy good

    The main story is Great if somewhat marred by what anyone who played RDR1 knows about how that game ends.     Combat is harder and has an annoying suppression affect that has your aim shake all over the place making it a roll of the dice as weather or not you land a hit.

    The horse is an idiot, many time I've crashed into a tree but only 1 out of 10 of the times I've crashed into a tree has it been my fault as I have noticed the horse actually resists my commands so for example I see a tree/rock and want to turn left to go around it, only for the game to try and force me to continue straight resisting my turn left input and crashing into the tree/rock

    NPCs are far too impatient, how many times I've go up to a camp and been threatened with guns pointed at just for passing by while I was hunting or while riding through town and a quick pace how many NPC shout at me as if I had just made the them dive out the way when really I avoided them perfectly.

    Side mission and random events make the world feel alive, and the level of detail is impressive going back to find all the hundreds of Easter eggs really adds to the world.

    One of RDR2's baggiest failings is the lack of explanation, I like many was lead to believe that RDR2 was going to have a great deal of freedom of choice, this means when a random event occurs and some women tries to kill me in town and I kill her first in defence I'm the one who gets shot at and chased by the Law for murder.

    The Online is pay to win, as in completive games your character can use whatever weapons you have and ammo types and if you can afford to keep spamming miracle tonics then you are going to own the other player because you can pay the real world money to buy this stuff in game

    Overall this game has its bugs floating/invisible objects, texture issues on the to cool Scout Jacket and more, and with its annoying combat mechanics and horse controls and unclear options where you try to do good but get a bounty instead for your efforts, I have to give the game a solid 8/10 and not the exaggerating 10/10 IGN gave the game.    … Expand

    3/4 of the story is pretty good.
    Gunplay is also really good. Graphics look stellar. The ending is pretty good. Map is perfect as well. Cons: The last 1/4 of the game is pretty **** Game is way too long. Controls are little **** especially when driving. Way too much unnecessary realistic **** A lot of mechanics feel like they had an opportunity to be fleshed out and really good but    Pros:

    Rockstar doesn’t know whether is wants to be an open world game or a linear game that holds your hand.
    A good portion of the game is nothing but horse riding.

    RDR2s open world is stuffed with life and cool sidequests (that aren't even titled sidequests). Everywhere you go you have the feeling of an reacting world. Animals, People and nature reacts to Arthur. It just looks so beautiful. I played it on my Xbox One x in 4K. Absolutely nice.

    RDR2 would be a total 10/10 if there werent so many bug in the Gameplay. Its slow. It takes its time. Its horse riding. And last but not least....its horse riding.    … Expand

The graphics are great, controls are good, AI is also good, and the story is one of the greatest western tales ever told. I recommend this game to anyone and everyone.     Everything's perfect! The only thing I would change is the controls, because you may want to press Y for example to mount your horse but instead grab a person (unarmed assault).

    I love Red Dead Redemption 2, but I wish there was less time spent traveling between locations. I wish the game was faster paced as well. The game looks stunning though. It does a good job at capturing that West feeling. I probably would have given this game a 9, but I'm giving this a 10 to potentially raise it's 7.4 user score.

    I love this game. I have played the first game and i didn't know they can even make me love the game more than the original.

    This game is beautiful especially on my Xbox One X, 4k on this game is just amazing they really used all of the Xs power.     Some people hate that you can carry more than 2 big rifles and they are in your horses most of the game i actually like the realism and how if you hit a tree with your horse you get kicked off that actually shows the game wants to be realistic.

    Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the greatest game's I have ever played. The graphics are superb, the world is immersive, but most of all, the characters and the story are what drives this game to be one of the greatest. The storytelling in this game is some of Rockstar's best work. The "morality" meter at the bottom of the screen caries Arthur into what kind of person the player chooses,Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the greatest game's I have ever played. The graphics are superb, the world is immersive, but most of all, the characters and the story are what drives this game to be one of the greatest. The storytelling in this game is some of Rockstar's best work. The "morality" meter at the bottom of the screen caries Arthur into what kind of person the player chooses, an evil one or a good one, and you will pay for it in the end. As of gameplay, Rockstar Games have successfully found the perfect balance of storytelling and action, as each mission is packed with an even amount of conversations, cutscenes and horse riding, gunfights. However, I rate this game a 9 instead of a 10 due to the over excessive amount of "realistic" aspects to this game, that generally just lower the quality of life aspects. For example, when picking up items/looting bodies, you must loot each individually, one by one. Another example is how if your horse is not in range, you cannot call it, and you are stuck having to walk or steal another horse. Nevertheless, this game is definitely in my top 5 games I've ever played, and for anyone who enjoys RPGs a must-play.… Expand

Да, безусловно в этой игре есть минусы, но нельзя забывать что мы сравниваем с другими играми, которые так же стоят 60 баксов.
    Начну сразу с минусов игры:
    1. В игре ужасно сделана система укрытий, очень неудобно    РДР 2 это взрослая игра, создана не для фана. Читая отзывы, я понимаю что негатив исходит от игроков в основном из-за отсутствия фановости в игре, ну или же от злых ПК-игроков. Да, безусловно в этой игре есть минусы, но нельзя забывать что мы сравниваем с другими играми, которые так же стоят 60 баксов.
    Начну сразу с минусов игры:
    1. В игре ужасно сделана система укрытий, очень неудобно прятаться, персонаж постоянно как-то не так станет, не в ту сторону повернуться, тебя постоянно со всех углов обстреливают, ибо твои части тела выглядывают из какого то ни было камня или дерева.
    2. Все очень затянуто, тут есть доля правды, Артур делает все ооооочень и ооооочень медленно, например: нельзя бегать по лагерю, перед заданиями долго спускается с лошади, медленно подходит, постоянно медленные анимации с едой, с взаимодействием лошади и так везде и повсюду. По началу это увлекательно и интересно, но когда ты это делаешь в сотый раз, уже хочется бросить геймпад и уснуть. Я так понял, что игру умышлено затягивают, нет, серьезно, такое ощущение, что делаться все для большего количества часов в ней.
    3. Я не понимаю как всем понравилась музыка в этой игре, нет, она не плоха, но она в основном скучна, есть интересные моменты, но их мало. В том же Ведьмаке было это реализовано ой как хорошо.
    4. Перемещение. Я не считаю отсутствия привычного нам ФТ такой уж проблемой, мне наоборот это нравилось, очень атмосферно. НО. Из-за отсутствия той же нормальной музыки, каких-то уникальных локаций (тут я имею в виду, что в 90-та процентов случаях локации одни и те же, Роудс-Валентайн-Сен Дени и тп, конечно бывают очень красивые места в горах, но их мало!!!) скачка очень утомляет. В Скайриме, я уверен, благодаря своему музыкальному сопровождению, мне путешествовалось куда интересней.
    5. В РДР 2 очень корявое управление, кучу всего, куда надо нажимать, все медленно, игра не всегда реагирует на тапы, иногда что бы дать денюжку нуждающемуся надо стать на определенное место и только тогда можно будет это сделать.
    6. На фоне Артура остальные меркнут, нет такого что ты переживаешь за всю свою банду, что беспокоиться о них, я лично прокачивал лагерь из-за переизбытка денег. Ну да, я расстроился из-за смерти Шона, хотя через 30 минут и забыл вовсе, на Хозию и Ленни было плевать. Эмоции вызывал только Датч. Ну такое, можно было персонажей лучше проработать, я даже не помню как всех звать.
    На этом все, во всем остальном игра просто чудесна. Действительно РДР 2, по сравнению с другими играми за те же 60 баксов, выше на десяток голов, не передать словами на сколько чудесны все эти часы в игре. Я не буду писать про +, она ИДЕАЛЬНА во всем остальном. Так что, к ознакомлению обязательно.    … Expand

    It doesn’t matter if you are gamer, a human being, or an alien from another planet; Red Dead Redemption 2 is a title that you just can’t miss. The bar set by RDR2 is so high that even Rockstar itself will probably have a hard time raising it. One of the best releases in the history of digital entertainment.

    While it has some notable but minor flaws, it's hard to argue that Red Dead Redemption 2 is not a masterpiece. The end result of the meticulous detail, wonderful writing and stunning looks is an open world that sets a new bar for believability, and a time and place I can't stop thinking about or wanting to be a part of.
