    Better than nothing (Inafune trademark!)! The game suffers extreme downgrade from e3 gameplay and contains many framerate drops. It does not make me remember Megaman or Super Metroid in any moment. Complete garbage from Microsoft!

    If there weren't so many people that were giving it 10's for absolutely no reason other than that they are swooning over the marketing campaign, I would give it a 5. Recore, as with any game, has the potential to spark a feeling of entertainment in someone and that's fine. However there is nothing so objectively great about the game that should make anyone believe that it deserves even a 7, let alone a 10.

    Gameplay: Anyone who finds this game "innovative" doesn't even know the meaning of the word. This game is a platformer and shooter through and through, with few unique gimmicks here and there. What's the problem you ask? It's flat. Repetitive. One-dimensional. Every section of platforming provides little to no actual challenge and holds no actual purpose except to keep you from getting to the next fight, and every fight consists of these simple actions: backing away from the opponent, shooting the same gun endlessly (Yes, you only have one gun throughout the entire game) and waiting for your robot assistant to help you. . . Oh, and you can kind of upgrade your assistant so they can do more damage and run faster and stuff. Gosh, isn't that "innovative"? Bet you'll never find an upgrading system in any other game that has ever existed. . . But really, if you're a platformer or shooter veteran of any kind, you won't find anything new here. Also, I hope you can bare like 10 hours of that **** because I sure can't. Oh, and sidequests. I really hope you hate progress, because there are a lot of sidequests.

    Graphics: Not bad, but definitely not good, and probably a generation behind. Save for some minor environmental hazard based sections, every patch of desert and every cave look the same as the next. And as far as textures and plygons go, maybe even some of these landscapes could get directly ported to the previous generation with no editing whatsoever. It's kind of crazy that this is even on the Xbox One (and not just from a graphical standpoint, Comcept).

    Overall, the game is just okay, and it might've just been okay to cram everything into a 3 hour experience. Nothing about this game merits being as long as it is, and nothing about this game really stands out in the grand scope. It's not bad, but it is definitely in no way a 10.    … Expand

    The game starts off so well and then it just snowballs , im really gutted about how clumsy it can feel and again i had that sinking feeling again where i could feel it turning into a dull slugfest

    MEU DEUS DO CÉU! Onde o povo da Microsoft estava com a cabeça pra investir nesse jogo?

    A animação da personagem é horrível, a performance do jogo é terrível e você vence os bosses sempre do mesmo jeito. Faltou polimento, faltou criatividade e faltou direção. Mais uma vez o Inafune decepciona.

    Keiji Inafune didn't learn with mighty number 9, what makes you think he would learn any better when it came to recore?

    Initial game vs final result once again he fails to deliver.

    It's a bad game.
    Bad execution,some animations look clunky,repetitive is a common thing here,and the story it's just meh.It has some moments,but nothing too serious.

    Basically,it's another cashgrab by some dude who made a good game 20 years ago.

    IF you like repetitive,uninterested,and full of thecnical problems game,then recore is for you.

    It's unfortunate, especially with the great team of developers involved, but they really dropped the ball on this one. Terrible load times, mediocre graphics, buggy and frame rate dips. I was very much looking forward to this game, hopefully the PC version will have mods to fix it one day.

The game is buggy, visually and interactively. Jumping through solid objects and falling through the maps. The loading times are terrible, you spend most of your time waiting for it to load, my old ZX spectrum loads faster. The gameplay isRecore feels like a rushed half a game, and not a great one.     Let me start by saying that the platfoming is top notch, however the shooting while it works and gets the job done, it becomes very tedious by the 4th hour of in the game, and Id like to point out that Recore has a lock on mechanic that doesn't properly work most of the time when ever I tried to lock on to an enemy that was in front of me, the game would lock on to the one that was all the way in the back, this as you can imagine leads to some unfair deaths. speaking of unfair deaths I have to point out how glitchy this game is, in the first 4 hours you wont notice many glitches, but by th 6th you'll start to see so wacky stuff.

    While I was exploring a dungeon I got to a spot where a platform would not spawn, I looked on message boards and forums to confirm if my game had glicthed or if I was being a dumb ass gamer at the time. Unfortunately I wasn't in the wrong the platform that was supposed to be there never spawned so I had to create a tricky maneuver to keep playing the game. This isn't the first time this happened, I came across this very same glitch numerous times and in some cases when ever I re spawned I would die instantly forcing me to quit the dungeon and restarting from the beginning. and glitches are the least of this games problem, the game isn't even finished, there are entire sections of the game that you cant explore due to one of your robot companions not being in the game. Now what do I mean by that, well If you just look at your Recore game case or the picture that comes up when you start the game you'll notice that there are 5 corebot companions, one that looks like a dog, one that looks like a spider, one that looks like a jellyfish, one that looks like an ape and one that looks like a tank. The one that resembles a tank is nowhere to be found in the game, and its obvious that it was meant to be in the game since you would need it to access certain areas. Now there has been talks of dlc in recore but if Comcept even thinks of charging for this corebot they have lost their damn minds. If they need more time to finish the game, which is very apparent, then they should have delayed the game longer. I almost forgot to mention the numerous times this game crashed on me, this game crashed on me a total of 6 times. Fallout 4 before mods never crashed on me, not even once but Recore which isn't exactly the most power consuming game did.

    As a gamer I just can not look past these problems, problems like that are why I have a huge distaste for games such as Sonic 06 and Spyro Enter the Dragonfly, I cant lie to people and tell them that this game is a freaking 10 as some frauds on here are doing, sadly I cant give Recore anything higher than a 4/10. The fantastic platforming cant save this game, there are just to many problems that no self respecting gamer can look past.    … Expand

    Esse jogo só não é mais porco que Solbrain Knight of Darkness. Jogo fraco, combate fraco, movimentação e física de gen passada, bem robótica, parece MMORPG. Motor de jogo bem ultrapassado.
    Keiji Inafune e os produtores de megaman/metroid trabalharam nessa porcaria, que decepção.

Guy is becoming a digrace. Low budget or no. You should not release game with a lot of technical issues, bugs and long loading time.     Interesting, very short game I thought the ideas where there but the execution left a bit to be desired, the campaign leaves a lot of loose ends that can be explored by the players so was a bit surprised when the credits started rolling. An overall ok small title nothing about it that says MUST PLAY the best thing about I got it late at a very very cheap price brand new.

    This is just a very bland rather dull game. It brings nothing new and within 15 minutes you feel like you've already played it before.

    The story is also absolute rubbish and the ending is a slap in the face for anyone who makes the effort to get that far.

The combat is incredibly tedious and repetitive as you just lock on, maybe switch the color your weapon is firing, maybe take out the core from the enemy, rinse and repeat.

    I remember watching the Microsoft E3 2015 press conference live with friends and being astounded when Recore was revealed with a beautiful CGI trailer. At last I thought this was the break xbox one had been searching for. An interesting premise which looked fully AAA and legendary game creator keiji inafune at the helm, I thought there was no way Microsoft could mess this up, and finallyI remember watching the Microsoft E3 2015 press conference live with friends and being astounded when Recore was revealed with a beautiful CGI trailer. At last I thought this was the break xbox one had been searching for. An interesting premise which looked fully AAA and legendary game creator keiji inafune at the helm, I thought there was no way Microsoft could mess this up, and finally after so long, xbox had found it's next biggest franchise.
    Time moved on and no news came. But then E3 2016 came around and we were all anticipating the gameplay reveal; sadly thats where recore's story goes downhill. The game looked far from AAA and not very appealing. Some aspects were cool but we were left wanting more. The game got it's September release date and now the wait was on.
    Recore launched to mediocre reviews and they are all warranted. Some moments of the game, like its fun dash move and platforming were surprisingly fun! But overall the game was very repetitious not only in gameplay but in it's world. Not to mention, to fully beat the game you were required to grind extensively for cores just to continue progressing. The characters can be fun and you enjoy having your robot companions fight along side you while also upgrading their armor and attacks.
    The game ultimately falls flat but the potential is there. With more money and a larger scope recore could be an interesting franchise for xbox. Sadly with Microsofts recent trend, it's safe to say most ip from the xbox one era will never see the light of day again.    … Expand

    I think the game could be more fun. I decided not to finish it because of the roadblock that requires collecting plasmatic cores. I don't think this was a good implementation of exploring requirements. This is sad.

    Pero que bueno, pongo un 10 para compensar el maltrato de la prensa, sería solo un 8 o 8,3 el combate es muy bueno, los graficos muy buenos, los compañeros saltan mucho y en general mucho mejor de lo que le ha dado la prensa.

The characters, customization and gameplay are super fun. If you think the game looks cool. Check it out. Make up your own mind. On top of that. It's a $40 game. So it's not a full priced AAA game.     With an interesting story, charismatic characters, dynamic gameplay, with a difficulty that rescues nostalgic form the platform of old classics of the 80s and 90s, but one thing is certain, Recore is far from being a masterpiece that everyone expected , but still have the ability to have fun and at the same time    I think if it were not for Joule, I would have given up the Far Eden world.

    I never really understood the hate for this game. It had damn fun gameplay and a really good progression system that made leveling up your bots really satusfying.. The store and the cute red head space girl was also a high point..
    I guess the whole game was one big desert level and a change in environment about half wayvthrough the game woukd have been nice.     I really don't understand all the negativity surrounding ReCore! True there may be a few performance issues (delaying it may have helped), but so far they haven't ruined the game for me at all! From the moment I first began playing this fresh and new IP I was hooked! The story is really mysterious and intriguing, the characters are fun, and you actually begin to care about them!     Don't normally write reviews but wanted to throw some positive love to the developers of this game. It's way under rated here. It's available currently on game pass and I'm really digging it. It's open world with a bunch of fun/challenging dungeons and the emotional bond you form with your little mechanical pets is real.     No es un juego excepcional pero no está mal, está entretenido para pasar el rato y la historia está bastante bien construida. Sufre de bajones de FPS bastante importantes pero no afectan demasiado a la jugabilidad. La mecánica de los colores de armas es original y le da un puntillo al juego y los bosses están bastante currados.

    Adoro o jogo. Ambiente espetacular. Antes do update com várias melhorias e atualizacoes era um jogo mediano, depois ficou fantásrico. Artwork fabuloso.

    The loading time remain an issue (the longest time is 90 seconds now, not 4 minutes, but that's still a problem as the game requires you to change areas quite frequently if grinding/farming) but after 20 hours of gameplay the game has not crashed once, I have found no invisible walls and generally have had a great time with it - right up until the end.

    I love this game, genuinely, but two things annoy me:

    (1) it's not finished. As is well documented there is a missing corebot companion, which you cannot use but all the menus refer to it (T8-NK) and there is dedicated space on certain screens for it. This must have been removed due to late-found bugs, as it even appears in the background of the cover art, but it seems odd to have reworked a game to remove this element but kept in so many references to it. There is even one area, which the map encourages you to do to in the game, which is empty but clearly (it's full of quicksand) meant to be covered by this missing bot. There's no communication from the studio on this point and that's a real shame.

    (2) the hidden pre-end grind. I love action/adventure and RPG games, and often will play games where I go through at a reasonable pace, end up at the end boss and it's completely impossible to defeat because my level is way too low or I'm missing equipment. The problem with this game is that it doesn't let you make those mistakes, because it requires you to have collected certain items before you can go to certain places. At the end of the game you must pass through a series of doors with different level and item requirements which you are not told in advance. The only way to therefore finish the game is to hit a door you can't go through, travel back into the world and grind/farm your way to the end. It also means that there's no real challenge, because you can almost never fight enemies that are genuinely too hard because the doors throughout the game ensure you're sufficiently levelled.

    All that said, I've had a tremendous amount of fun with this game. I wish it were finished (and that the story were a bit clearer) but the combat system is simple and fun, it flows well, the environment is not boring despite almost all being desert and you really genuinely like and fell for both your character and corebots throughout. I'd be torn if payable DLC came out, as unless it's substantial I'm not sure what it could add to the game, but would definitely purchase a sequel. I'm a fan.    … Expand

    Les phases de plate-forme de ce TPS sont déjà les pires qu'on puisse concevoir dans le domaine mais le système de combat lourdingue à souhait et mal foutu comme pas deux n'a rien à leur envier non plus. En fait, tout y est fait pour se donner un air "profond" ou sophistiqué (les couleurs, les combos et les orbes à extraire) mais tout y fait "pschiiit" comme une baudruche qui fuit de toutes parts.

    Dans ce monde assez grand et découpé en zones -aux temps de chargement éloquents- à l'ambiance certes pas désagréable (du genre cyber-mad-maxienne pour ainsi dire) on ne peut pas faire deux pas sans tomber sur des araignées ultra-vénères. Les "donjons" à explorer sont encore pires à cet égard, en plus de se répéter inutilement.

    Ce jeu japonais n'est cependant pas trop japoniais ou alors juste un peu mais son monde reste bel et bien vide en dehors de ses ennemis omniprésents. Chose remarquable, on a droit à une VF intégrale, de bon aloi qui plus est.

    Chose nettement moins remarquable, le moteur utilisé est le moteur tout pourri des développeurs indés à la petite semaine, à savoir Unity, ce qui met Recore en porte-à-faux : pas triple A, pas vrai indé non plus... en vérité un A moins voire encore beaucoup moins en définitive.

    En tout cas, à son lancement sur Xbox One, Recore est assez vilain et se permet des ralentissements récurrents. Le jeu a été intensivement patché, puis a reçu des améliorations graphiques significatives sur Xbox One X : seulement du 1440p mais il faut reconnaître qu'il est devenu très présentable avec un rendu propret et un 30 im/s enfin parfaitement stable.

    Ce qui cela dit nous en touche une sans faire bouger l'autre, car toute la jouabilité est à revoir et repenser entièrement ; le jeu lui-même demeure incroyablement creux, limité et répétitif en plus de sa lourdeur permanente. Un échec retentissant.    … Expand

Has a few problems though including loading, hiccups with fighting and game completely freezing up and reloading. Have only been playing for a few hours and game has frozen and reloaded 4 times in the middle of battle. VeryI am really enjoying Recore. Recore tem como sua proposta de jogo com rápida jogabilidade, no estilo plataforma e comandos bem alternativos nas batalhas, junto do famoso DASH algo bem difícil de ver sem ser um Megaman, sem contar o double jump, bom o que dizem na oitava geração alguns é o gráfico? não fica pra trás, está nível Quantum break ou Gears of War 4 (ressalto ligeiras quebras de frames às vezes). Esqueci de citar o mascote vulgo Mack muito criativo e não está tão distante de um TRICO de Last Guardian do PS4, ele é muito astuto e ainda permite um leque bem abrangente de upgrades rss.

    Este juego me crea sensaciones opuetas, por un lado es divertido, pero se hace pesado y repetitivo, graficamente no sorprende en nada, la jugabilidad si que es bastante entretenida. El final parecia que nunca llegaba, me dio la sensación que intentaban alargarlo de manera absurda, haciendo que recojas un determinado numero de orbes para llegar al boss final. Un juego agridulce.

    The requirements for getting more and more Cores and reaching the top to face the final boss indicate that they completely forgot about the script and story and focused on gameplay. An IP that many throw **** at, but very few have really enjoyed.     Gostei muito do jogo, achei ótima a jogabilidade e história. A dificuldade em algumas plataformas é um pouco exagerada, mas nada que muitas tentativas não resolvam. O que me desapontou foram as quedas de FPS e os loadings extremamente longos em algumas partes. Fora isso, o jogo é ótimo. Merece uma continuação.

    O jogo é legal e bem divertido, a história é interessante mas tive bastante problemas com os chefões, várias vezes bugados e a única coisa possível de se fazer era reiniciar a fase e os puzzles na minha opinião são meio confusos e as vezes quase impossíveis de se fazer.

    ReCore is a game that I feel does not get the credit that it deserved. I enjoyed the game quite a bit. Just playing it recently after it being out for a few years now. The game has a 60fps boost on the Series X making the game run really smooth. I enjoyed going through the world and exploring the dungeons and collecting as many cores that I could get along the way.     I remember getting 150 Golden bricks in Lego Avengers and it was awesome, but getting cores here is    This game would be awesome if it had only focused on being an indi game.     Aunque llegue algo tarde para jugar este juego me parecio un muy buen juego, en lo principal me encantaron sus mecanicas tanto de combate como de movimiento eso si por los nuevos juegos que hay a la fecha su apartado artístico no me llamo mucho la atención y el mismo juego se siente inacabado en temas como la historia que tal vez se prodria arreglar en una secuela lo cual lo veo poco probable

    A feeling of isolation in a desolate, intriguing world. Novel fighting mechanics, brilliant platforming, superb pet robot mechanics/switchable companions. There is a real sense of wonder and exploration here, a fantastic sense of mystery and a need/addictive loop that pushes the player forward. If this game was full price, maybe it is a 7/8, but at t half price? Amazing value

    Me encantó en su día, compré la edición definitiva en físico y no me arrepentí en absoluto, juego muy del estilo Soul Reaver o Darksiders 2 en lo que a mundo evolución del personaje y desbloqueo de niveles se refiere. Lo recomiendo totalmente.
