    First things first, the game is beautiful. If you thought Ryse showcased the power of the Xbox One, wait until you see this game in action. Gameplay wise, it uses the Tomb Raider cover mechanics where you get into cover automatically when close. Third person shooter mechanics are standard fare, but where things get interesting is with the time powers. With a simple button press you canFirst things first, the game is beautiful. If you thought Ryse showcased the power of the Xbox One, wait until you see this game in action. Gameplay wise, it uses the Tomb Raider cover mechanics where you get into cover automatically when close. Third person shooter mechanics are standard fare, but where things get interesting is with the time powers. With a simple button press you can manipulate time like a god, rather it's to form a shield to stop incoming bullets and then dashing to a better advantage, there's a lot of tools at your disposal.

    Now onto the interesting section, the show. Characters are well acted and the story is engrossing. The first episode really sets the tone for the game and show, and possible future iterations of both. The action reminds me of a Bourne movie and the backdrop of the overall story is some of the best sci-fi writing out. It's genuinely an amazing experience overall.    … Expand

    You know its a great game when all the ps4 fanboys are voting negative.

    Story is short, but never boring. Was skeptical of the live action scenes but they work well and aren't cheesy.

    Cool story and the gameplay is fun and original. TV episodes go well with the gameplay. Graphics are the best I've seen this gen. The audio and the FX are like great when combined with the awesome gameplay. I wasn't prepared for a game this great but Remedy delivered!

    Quantum Break is one of those games fresh air endangered, hated by many haters that neither have played as KURBONHART. It is a game that appears on the horizon very occasionally and the real players have the opportunity to enjoy thanks to a developer who cares as Remedy detail to the maximum requirement.

    Only one word:

    MASTERPIECE.

    At first I had my doubts about this game, specially after reading some of the bad reviews , but finally I decided to give it a try and oh my this game is incredible, the shooting really reminds me of Max Payne and the story is good enough to keep you playing.

    Estejuego es excelente, lo tengo desde hace unos 3 dias en fisico gracias a un amigo mio, he jugado como 20 horas por cada dia porque es una gosada jugablemente y graficamente!! Recomendado!!

    I like the different style of game. It looks a bit like Alan Wake (Very good game). You make your decisions and depending what you decide is how the story evolves. The graphics are really good. Plus, you get 4 videos of the story I must say they can probably make it into a series.

    The cover system is good because in this game you have to move fast using your powers. The powers are good but they could have done something better.     Quantum break was a blast the time power was cool the characters where interesting and the Story was original and complex and above all else this might just we'll be Xboxes answer to the infamous series and I am already on my knees begging for more

    Think you have to rate this game for what it is: a story experience. The TV Show is pretty much forgettable in my eyes, because you dont care about the side-characters it focuses on. But the game itself has a strong and deep story that really keeps you excited (also because of very good acting).

    I wondered why this game get bad critics. Quantum Break has a complex story and you should focus on story to full understand and enjoy the game. the most important aspect of a game is it's gameplay and i think combining an action-adventure gameplay and a choice making gameplay is get game super exciting.

    This game really hooked me to my Xbox One . The storyline is excellent . a Episodic series in a game was not a move I would recommend but in this case it worked out perfectly . This game is highly enjoyable . Using Jack Joyce's powers are so fun and addictive . Good graphics but most credit goes to the enjoyable gamepay

    Quantum Break, a game i've been looking forward to ever since it appeared on E3, I had a lot of expectations for this game, and to be honest, my hype O meter was off the roof .. buuuuut .... the outcome is not always pleasant, Quantum Break was a huge let down(for me at least), during my play through of the game, there were multiple times where I felt like I was forcing myself to "Like"Quantum Break, a game i've been looking forward to ever since it appeared on E3, I had a lot of expectations for this game, and to be honest, my hype O meter was off the roof .. buuuuut .... the outcome is not always pleasant, Quantum Break was a huge let down(for me at least), during my play through of the game, there were multiple times where I felt like I was forcing myself to "Like" the game, that this game was suppose to be one of the best contender for GOTY, but I was wrong, although the graphics and the art style of the game are visually stunning, but it does not excuse the fact that the story and the characters are weak, the combat feels repetitive, and the 'puzzles' feels somewhat out of place, and just unnecessary in general, but what's worse is the linearity of the game, in my opinion, if Quantum Break was a open world game, the review scores would be much higher, but instead, the majority of the levels are small and clustered area where you don't even have the ability to see the world around you, not the mention the cool down on your time controlling ability doesn't make it any better either. So what is left of Quantum Break if you take away all the cool visual effects, and the player's ability to control time ? a bad third person shooter? a wast of production money? no , it's a big sign of disappointment from all the players who bought this overhyped game.… Expand

    I have just not completed Quantum Break's story and have come to the conclusion that I can write a review with confidence. The player should be there for the story, and some fun gameplay along the way. The shooting mechanics are basic, but there is not much any developer can improve on a shooting model. However, the introduction of the time powers in the game adds an organic feel to classical third person shooter gameplay. The story is great and while I see much complaining about the long live action cut scenes, I personally feel that they added a nice buffer between game scenes. During long playing sessions, I was very happy to exchange my controller for a cup of ice cream while I watched the well directed and great quality show. These scenes added a fantastic layer of depth to the game world, and gave the backstory to how many characters got to certain places within the game. The game got surprisingly more difficult as the story progressed, and I found myself in pure frustration when I could not beat the final boss battle after the third try. The characters were very detailed and great to get to know, and I loved the choices the player could make.

    All in all, I would recommend this game to anyone who loves a great story and loves to go on a journey with their characters. If I could shake the hand of every developer and tell them how well of a job they did on this game, I would.    … Expand

    To put it simply, Quantum break is a great game with some glaring flaws. To start, the story is fantastic. The time travel plot manages to make sense and avoid major plot holes while the characters are very well written. Martin Hach was in particular my favorite character, but all of them were great.     The gameplay has some highs and lows. To start, the time powers are very fun to use. They give you them gradually throughout the game, and you can upgrade them with points you find in the game world. While that is fun, my main problem is the lack of enemy variety and weapons. There aren't even 10 guns, and all of them are standard. I would have liked more. The game could have also used another mode outside the story and possibly a new game plus with more upgrades, as once you beat the story that is really it.

    Lastly, the graphics are fantastic and the sound design is good, though nothing amazing.

    Overall a great game, though there are some flaws that Remedy could have fixed. I would recommend it though, especially with the price being lower now.    … Expand

It's really great, I liked it even more because Microsoft released the game for Steam and let all the real gamers play this masterpiece

There’s not a lot of weapon variety, which may result in a more null experience. However, the character special abilities do make up for that.

    Quantum Break is a game that deserves a lot more recognition and I personally hope that Microsoft Studios and Remedy Entertainment analyze the possibility of developing a sequel, as this is one of the new Xbox exclusive franchises with the most potential out there. Remedy did a great job on Quantum Break, it have a great story that any time travel fan will love, some moments in the game, called junctions, give you the oportunity to chose what future you'll play andI have seen a lot of trailers of Quantum Break back in 2016, but for some reason I haven't played the game until a couple months ago, in 2019. Difficulty selector (personally I recommend playing it in difficult). The shootings are satisfactory. Ability to improve powers. The AI ​​of the special forces is very advanced, raising strategies, flanking you and forcing you out of coverage. Monarch agents escalate in danger and lethality as the game progresses even generating countermeasures to stop you and creating devices to stop you as annulment devices and chronon grenades that counteract your powers to stop you giving you a lot of challenge and allowing you to be creative and at the same time cautious with your abilities.     the game is with graphics below average, which was confirmed at 1080p. Also is with rendering issues and have more cutscenes than parts of gameplay, story mode is very short, the game has at least one good gameplay in some terms

    Quantum Break starts slowly and with a hint of mystery and steadily builds in both story tension and pace over the course of the entire game. The visuals are fantastic with small shortcomings in mid resolution shadows and a slight ghosting effect thats rarely noticed caused    I think remedy has once again proven themselves leaders of the lack when it comes to storytelling and gameplay.

    Quantum Break starts slowly and with a hint of mystery and steadily builds in both story tension and pace over the course of the entire game.

    The visuals are fantastic with small shortcomings in mid resolution shadows and a slight ghosting effect thats rarely noticed caused by the temporal anti aliasing. the sound design and vocal performances are also phenomenal. Gameplay is also absolutely on point. Alan Wake was somewhat of a let down in the gameplay dept as it never evolved over time (no pun intended) but Quantum Break keeps changing as you move forward. You gain new abilities and you level up those abilities.

    There is tons of story in this game. Finding emails or objects not only add to the in game story and fill in some history and motivations they also alter the live action scenes you watch so not everyone will see the same thing every time. How much of the story and what story you get are entirely up to you.

    These story objects are easily tracked in the menu and you can go back to any point in the game to find something you missed or do something in a different way.

    Overall a fantastic game that I can see myself playing multiple times.    … Expand

    Sin hacer spoiler, diré que el juego en si, desde un principio te deja    Cuando escuchamos hablar de el estudio responsable de obras maravillosas como "Alan Wake", sabemos que podemos esperar un juego especial, que si bien cumple en cuanto a gameplay y demás que se espera de un videojuego, su carta fuerte es la historia, y en eso, Remedy ha logrado brindar otra experiencia imperdible.

    Sin hacer spoiler, diré que el juego en si, desde un principio te deja claro que más que un juego, es una experiencia, al grado de llegar a ser como una película.

    El gameplay del juego es bueno, un tanto confuso pero que terminaras amando con forme le des uso. El sistema de cobertura es, al igual que el #Tomb Raider", un sistema de cobertura automático, y si bien cumple su función, llega a fallar un poco, y en algunas zonas las texturas fallan o incluso llegan a haber edificios que no terminan de aparecer, pero nada que llegue a arruinar la experiencia, o nada que con un parche se arregle.

    La variedad de armas y poderes le dan un ritmo seguro al juego, con momentos de acción que si bien, no son demasiado épicos, cumplen con mantenerte al tope de la adrenalina.

    Was so looking forward to Quantum Break but after reading the reviews thought I was going to be let down, but I wasn't. I am very sad it is now over and will need to replay. Great story, great action and whilst there are some shortcomings, it does not dampen the enjoyment.

    This is the perfect game and the best 3rd person experience I've had so far.
    There are a few things like the marketing, launch on Win10 store that resulted very bad news for the game but the game itself is just stunning!
    Remedy did an incredible job - as they did with Alan Wake, as they did at Max Payne, as they always do.

    A 10 out of 10 for me!

    The story is complicated because its kind of two very different story arcs that are kind of pieced together by an overarching story. In case you're not familiar with this game, there is a gimmick with this game, it's not only a game but there is a mini TV series that goes along with the game. So the game is bouncing around from standard video game cutscenes, gameplay, and episodes from the TV show.

    The weird this is, the TV show and the game have two very different stories with not a lot of overlap. The main character in the game is Jack Joyce who is played by actor Shawn Ashmore but he barely shows up in the show. Some characters are only in the show and then there are a few that do show up in both. The main connector between the two is the main villain Paul Serene who is played by Aiden Gillen.

    It's a very strange concept that did a great job making me care about certain characters in the show but didn't accomplish the same thing with the game.

    Favorite Character?

    My favorite character is a guy who did not show up in the game much at all and was primarily in the TV show and that's Liam Burke. His story arc is a pretty common story arc where he is a guy that was in the military, came home and couldn't find work so he turned to the games evil corporation and worked for them doing some not so legal things. What makes his story so compelling is they do a decent job grounding him by him a backstory. He has a wife and his wife is pregnant so his motivations are driven by his family. He's just an easy character to cheer for.

    Are there puzzles and How are they?

    I'm trying to think and no, there really weren't any puzzles.

    What is the gameplay like and how does it feel?

    This is where the game itself is at its peak. The gameplay and combat are very solid. Its a third-person cover shooter but your character has some abilities that make the game fun. First off, although it is a cover shooter you need to keep moving so you're goal is to move from cover to cover.

    The first ability you learn, I can't remember the name of it but you throw out a time sphere type thing. Basically, time stops for anyone or anything in that time sphere so you should that at an enemy. They're frozen in time, then you shoot bullets at the enemy. When the bullets hit the time sphere, they stop in place and then after a few seconds when the time sphere dissipates the bullets instantly hit them and they're dead.

    The second ability you learn is a quick dash, I didn't use it too much because a little later on you learn a better ability.

    The third ability is like a shield. Basically, you hit a button and then you have a protective shield completely surrounding you so it blocks all bullets. It's very useful when you need to heal up.

    The fourth ability is a run dash. This you hold a button and as you're running time stops moving. So you're able to move from one area to another with little consequence.

    Between these 4 (really 3) abilities, it made the game a lot of fun. Once you develop a rhythm with the abilities and their cool downs, the game becomes a very fun combat arena.

    What is my favorite moment or sequence from the game?

    Nothing really comes to mind, it's a fun game but there aren't really any memorable set pieces.

    How are the missions/levels designed?

    The missions and levels are very linear. It reminds me of Uncharted where you start in an area you platform from area to area and occasionally there is a gun fight.

    How is the sound design and music?

    The voice acting is top notch, its very well done but they use a lot of recognizable actors.

    The music itself, I didn't notice it at all.

    I like the innovation between it being a video game and TV show, but that's practically the only thing I like about it.

    The acting is okay, but it seem's like they're trying to hard. The gameplay is nothing special, more generic than unique. Very repetitive mission's structure, and only two outcomes at the end of those missions.

You have to play smartly. Cons: like most other people, I thought you got all of your powers way too early. It makes the fights later on tedious and feel too familiar. The graphics, while most of the time looking awesome, can sometimes just look weird, but that might just be me. The last thing is that I feel it was a tad short, but still worth it to me. It was roughly around 6-7 hours. Overall, like I put above, I'd give this an 8. It's not a console seller, but I want it in my xbox collection. It may not be for everyone, but I love the fact that it actually requires a good bit of effort to fight. I'll just say that the time powers are awesome, creatively integrated throughout the many aspects of the game, and just completely badass. The graphics made me squeak a bit, even though I'm a scrub that plays on a 1080i television screen, with awesome animations, immense attention to detail, and creative, beautiful set pieces.

    I won't go too in-depth on the story, so you can experience it for yourself, but it was really well done! Creative, well thought-out, good dialogue, the whole shebang. All of those are only strengthened by the performances, especially on the part of Shawn Ashmore. I liked how they used the Novikov self-consistency principle (I'm a theoretical physics major) to explain how the story, while seemingly branching out to what could have been different outcomes, eventually all have the same ending. (The principle states that, in simple terms, if someone were to travel back in time, 'history' would find a way to keep the future on track, and keep the same outcome, even if there are slight variations along the way). I like it when developers have reasons for their choices, even if it was to allow them to limit the story.

    I enjoyed the game's experimental use of combining this sort of 'movie/game' hybrid. Although this game tires my brain from all the different perspectives, it combines many elements to convey the game's story and it really impresses me how much effort (and money) was put into this and it delivered my expectations. However with the live action sections taking up 75.4 GB and being streamed I can understand why some of this became wall of text exposition instead of a cut scene.

    The game is moderate length (10 to 12 hours depending on how much you explore) but shorter than I had hoped. The game play is decent but not really all that innovative.

    Graphics, music and sound are top notch and the story is engaging, but not as well done as previous Remedy projects.

    Overall its a good game and although I am really irritated with the final boss battle, it is well made but the replay value is low for me. This is a game that is worth playing but I would say, if you haven't bought it already, to wait for it to go on sale - unless you really need something to fill in the last gaps before Uncharted 4 and Dark Souls 3.    … Expand

    I would prefer rate 8 as score but Ps4 fanboys are so idiot with their 0... Quantum Break has some minors defaults but play this game is a true experience. Moreover, i can also discover Alan Wake games now for free so don't hesitate ;)

    Probably the best game on this generation of console , fresh and not casual. Remedy is sinonim of quality. The graphics are georgous , and the gameplay as well. The tv serie is a good combination to understand the story of all the,characters who's apear on the game.

    This game is amazing pulsating action ready to blast you away. An action adventure game with third person shooter characteristics and time bending abilities. Quantum Break is very unique with a great story and a very fresh take on the telling of said story. I find it to be a must play for any serious Xbox/PC gamer.

Alan wake was this way as well. if you went back to that game and tore apart each gameplay element individually you would be left with a bunch of so so parts....Somehow together they form a great recipe...im on pc and 980ti playing dsr 2k it looks georgeous, great story, atmosphere, gameplay is fine.Through act 2. Im not exactly having a blast, but i cant wait to get back to playing.     Solid story albeit a tad confusing on the first play-through, and the choice system adds longevity to the game, great cast of characters and the use of the time powers is a joy to behold and a lot of fun, but some awkward platforming sections and clunky controls can hinder what is an otherwise excellent game.

    QB is a very immersive game with excellent game play. The acting is also very well executed and takes place in a highly detailed world.

    I am really enjoying the game and I marked my review a "10" only because I am trying to make up for haters giving it a "0" cuz reezuns.

    Gameplay- 9/10: The core gameplay is great. The shooting aspects are near flawless and when mixed with the general CRAZINESS of using time bending powers, it becomes godlike. It is the Payne games turned up to the max. The platforming sections are weak do to loose controls though Story- 9/10: Really engaging and over the top. I personally loved it.     Gameplay- 9/10: The core gameplay is great. The shooting aspects are near flawless and when mixed with the general CRAZINESS of using time bending powers, it becomes godlike. It is the Payne games turned up to the max. The platforming sections are weak do to loose controls though

    Story- 9/10: Really engaging and over the top. I personally loved it. The characters are great and the TV episode format makes it all the more engaging.

    In general the game is really well polished as well. It lacks glitchs and runs very well on my Xbox One

    As far as flaws go they are small. As said above the platforming sections are boring and hard due to controls, the TV episodes love to buffer, and there is an occasional cheesy moment or hurried plot line. But compared to the excellent game play and amazing story-these are slight flaws and do not detract from an otherwise awesome experience.    … Expand

    Wow. What a big Sony children style reviews attack. You're such jealous? Yeah. No surprise. Sony has only gay exclusives like The Order so it's normal that they're jealous. QB is one of the best games this year but I hope so that Gears 4 will be even better :) Incredibly strong year for Xbox.

    A very ambitious video game that tries to blend together two genres, TV and Video Game, into a action packed 3rd person shooter. The TV show, to my surprise, was actually very well done. It felt a lot like a CBS show, something like Person of Interest or Fringe (with its whole sci-fi aspect). The game part was amazing. Jaw dropping set pieces that really had me in awe numerous times.     Big fan of Alan Wake and Remedy storytelling, so this game has been on my list of must haves since it was announced. Can honestly say this was worth the wait. The gameplay is fun the story has me hooked as do all the background emails and notes that can be found. A bit more combat and another difficulty setting are my only Negatives.     There's few flaws about this game. Super production and music, flawless gameplay and tons of replay value. The waiting was worth our time. one of the few Xbone exclusives every gamer should play and enjoy to the fullest.

    I really don't get the low scores given on this game.
    Remedy succeeds in delivering a promising, deep and interesting storyline with somewhat interesting characters (Wish Beth were more present).
    Personally i really needed a game like Quantum Break in addition to previous story-line failing games such as The Division, and i get that it might get a little confusing at times with the time    I really don't get the low scores given on this game.

The gameplay in overall could be more polished and be given additionel features other than time-shifting, shooting and searching for additionel storyline documents...
    But i believe that the story catches up to that, and i finally i sat through a whole game with a story that was interesting only not to be let down by a horrible ending.

    All in all i spend 20 hours completing this game on hard, looting absolutely everything i could, and i would say it was worth my time AND money.

    If you like me, are in need of a game that has an fantastic, interesting and deep storyline with a bonding main character i suggest you try this out. I had tons of fun.    … Expand

    I loved it, best game on this generation so far for me. It`s a beautiful game, with great characters and a deep story. It`s not for everyone, but games like dark souls aren`t either. If you like story driven games, and you have played Alan Wake and liked it, you are going to love this.

    Great looking, enjoyable, slightly campy scifi romp. Excellent combat however I could see disliking it if you try and play it like a cover shooter. The collectibles are really good and I'll bet mostly overlooked since they are all text.

    its so sad that this game is being bashed, its a good game, not excellent not perfect but it really is a good game, i give it a 10 because the score should be at 8, thats what the game deserves, and an 8 is not bad, is good.

    Quantum Break is a must have if your a Xbox One owner The story and Game play suck you right in the graphics and sound simply breathtaking as you dive deep into the 10 hour story of Jack Joyce. reply value is high because there a different choices you make along the way that tell a different story. Buy Quantum Break you will not be disappointed.

    I can understand why some people don't like the game, e.g. this sci-fi story isn't something for everyone, but for me it was one of the best games I've played so far (and I played many games since 1990) and I really like those time-stories.     Me ha gustado mucho, la historia es muy buena y combinada con las escenas de película te mantiene siempre atento. Los gráficos son excelentes y la jugabilidad también. Conforme avanza la trama vas adquiriendo habilidades que combinadas con las diferentes armas te dan un buen repertorio de posibilidades en combate.

    I own both XBox One and Windows 10 PC. At first I decided to play the game on PC but my redeem code is still being delivered so I played on XBox. And I didn't regret. PC user reviews are bad but it is very good XBox game! Enjoy :)

    sistema de jogo nunca mostrado, com gráficos similar a 4k de pc ultra, jogo para ser jogo do ano, melhor que esse jogo vai demorar aparecer, realmente me surpreendeu a jogabilidade e graficamente, principalmente sistema facial.

    Absolutely fantastic storytelling. Great atmosphere and graphics. Very fitting soundtrack also. The acting is great and the episodes in between gameplay really flow well and provide a nice interlude between gunfights and exploration. The movement of the main character can be slightly clumsy in places but that is such a minor point that I wouldn't dock points for it. 10/10 well done remedy!

    Quantum Break is a really good game. Actors in the series are also good although i prefer the original hero in the demo. Sometimes there are few bugs but it's ok. I hope a sequel in 2 years :D

    im having a blast with this game although i wish it was longer. really hoping there will be added dlc later on along the line. alot of the negative reviews are biased. mostly PS fans coming here to give it the negative score but can turn around and something like street fighter a 10. pay attention. i suggest playing the game for yourself
