Neverwinter doesn't do anything new or crazy in the MMO world but it does a solid job of being an accessible MMO for a console. It is your typical, grinding MMO with dungeons and PvP but does a good job introducing newer players to the game. It could do better in the tutorials of explaining each class but it doesn't hinder you too much since the beginning levels are very easy. It is your typical, grinding MMO with dungeons and PvP but does a good job introducing newer players to the game. It could do better in the tutorials of explaining each class but it doesn't hinder you too much since the beginning levels are very easy. A noticeable trend in the game is that many quests lead you to your own personal instance which takes away some of the MMO aspects but still works for a single player RPG. Dungeons are in here as well as skirmishes which are pretty much just smaller dungeons without worrying about needing the role system (Tank/Healer/DPS). However, even in dungeons, I often feel like the roles aren't even necessary. Healers are nice but I've tanked through the early dungeons as a trickster rogue. It seems like 5 people can just go in and do their own thing and still beat the dungeon pretty easily. This is nice for more casual players on a console but does bring it down compared to some other MMOs out there.

The game is free to play and some will argue pay to win. For the first 59 levels, it definitely isn't pay to win. Some enchantments are much easier to deal with for people who pay but there isn't anything that a non payer can't get for themselves.

In summary, if you like MMOs or are interested in trying a good one without paying a hefty price and own an xbox one, download Neverwinter. No cost so it should be a no brainer. Try it out, get to level 20 which shouldn't take more than a few days at most, then decide if it's for you.

After playing for hours now I can tell that you it's an awesome game with stunning graphics and effects, it's expensive to buy Zen money but the game is free,
I really recommend it and I played WOW few years,
Steel there is no mini map and servers are too busy during weekends

I played the PC version on both a system with two GTX 780 graphics cards in SLI with an Intel 3930K and a PC with a GTX 650 graphics card with an i3-2100. I played a character to beyond level 50 on the PC so I have seen quite a bit of the game and have a good point of reference.

This is a typical MMORPG. I like it because it's set in the D and D environment. The idea / concept is great and the PC edition really is pretty good (8-ish).

Though I applaud the attempt to bring an MMORPG like this to the console, the graphics are worse than that of my system with the GTX 650 and the gameplay is so laggy on the console, it becomes unplayable in different spots whereas on the PC I get hardly any lag even in extremely populated areas.

When you get to any moderately populated area on the Xbox One version, whether there are NPCs or Player Characters, expect lots of lag. They really need to get the lag issue taken care of on the console. This game is really CPU and single-core heavy on the PC version, so it's really going to be an uphill battle for the MMORPG genre in general (unless the game engines are completely rewritten for the task) to run smoothly on an under-powered console CPU.

I'm glad they are bringing this type of game to the console because it's nice to sit on the couch and grind through the missions, but they have a ways to go to really make it playable. If this is all you know, the lag and weak graphics may not bother you, but based on my previous experience with the PC version (even compared to my lower-end gamer with the GTX 650), it definitely bothers me.

I would say this is good for a free game simply because of the entertainment value to cost ratio, but when you've played this game on better hardware, you can't rate it very highly.

I played Neverwinter on the PC when it was first released. While I had a decent time with the game, I gradually lost interest and stopped playing far before hitting the level cap. While I did not think that I would bother to play the game again, I figured that it would be interesting to see how Neverwinter plays on the X-box One. I like free games and MMORPGs, so why not? After all, II played Neverwinter on the PC when it was first released. While I had a decent time with the game, I gradually lost interest and stopped playing far before hitting the level cap. While I did not think that I would bother to play the game again, I figured that it would be interesting to see how Neverwinter plays on the X-box One. I like free games and MMORPGs, so why not? After all, I thought that the game’s combat system seemed more suited to a controller during my time with it on the PC.

After playing from levels 1-20, I can confirm my initial impression: I am having a lot more fun with the X-Box One version of Neverwinter. The combat system, which seems like a mix of Dragon Age: Inquisition and Kingdoms of Amalur, feels a lot more at home on the controller. Dispatching enemies as my trickster rogue feels a lot smoother than it did on my keyboard.

Other than the combat, the game is pretty much the same. Character creation is good, with many different races and classes available. However, the classes may not be what Dungeons and Dragons fans expect (I’ll come back to this). I have only played through one dungeon (The Cloak Tower, the first dungeon available), but I had a lot of fun during my two runs. Furthermore, I think that Neverwinter has a good free to play model. While you can spend money for nice extras available through the in-game store, at no point have I felt like I need to spend real money to advance through the game.

While I have been enjoying my time with Neverwinter, I have quite a few concerns. First, the areas are very linear and small, especially in comparison to other MMOs. The small areas, combined with the game’s overwhelming emphasis on combat, can make questing feel like a grind (despite the combat being enjoyable overall). Additionally, the writing and voice acting are both hit and miss. Occasionally actors sound bored/unconvincing. Furthermore, while the overarching narrative and individual quests are engaging enough to hold my interest, they are definitely not at the level of something like The Witcher 3 or even Skyrim. Also worth noting is that, unlike on the PC, there does not appear to be user-made quests in the X-Box version of Neverwinter. While this has not bothered me thus far, I imagine that some players will be disappointed by this loss.

As I mentioned before, the classes in Neverwinter might disappoint Dungeons and Dragons fans. While D&D staples like the mage, rogue, fighter, and ranger are all playable, the customization is very limited. If you play as a fighter, for example, you will play as either a Guardian Fighter or a Great Weapon Fighter. You are unable to multi-class or build your class in a specific way like you can in many other D&D games or tabletop D&D (though my experience with the latter is limited). Furthermore, the game is very action oriented, resulting in some of the classes playing different roles than they normally do in D&D. For example, a rogue in D&D is usually in charge of traps, lockpicking, and backstabbing. However, a pure rogue simply cannot go toe-to-toe against a fighter or ranger. However, Neverwinter’s trickster rogue class is a killing machine that can easily slay anything in her way. While this does not bother me too much, I can see how many D&D fans will be frustrated by changes such as this. I have also heard that the PvP is fairly imbalanced (with the aforementioned trickster rogue being overpowered), but I have not tried the PvP myself.

Overall, I think that the X-Box One version of Neverwinter is much more fun than its PC counterpart, though it definitely is not for everyone. Fans of traditional D&D in particular might be disappointed by Neverwinter’s all-action take on the classic roleplaying game. Despite this, it is definitely worth a try. After all, the game is free!

Game has the feel of fable 2, at least in the beginning. You get a quest and follow the glowing path, do some button mashing then run back to get you reward. No thinking required. But then sometimes that is what makes a game fun.no thinking.

As a recovering World of Warcraft addict, I'm always looking for something else that will scratch the itch. So far, even the best substitutes have done nothing but make me want to resub more. Neverwinter is no exception. It's pretty good, but I still know WoW is better.

If played alone, this game can quickly become a 3, but when I play it with my friends, it can easily become a good game. I keep coming back to it about once a week with my friends, and it is always a good time.

I tried this game in beta. I was excited to try it out because I loved Neverwinter 1 & 2 for PC. Sadly this game wasn't even close to that experience.

This Neverwinter is an MMO, it does try to give that D&D feel and it seems to be missing every enjoyable aspect of the original Neverwinter games. It does start with some D&D flavor. Especially in the early dungeons. But as you get to

Sadly it seems to suffer from that pay to win atmosphere so many F2P games suffer from these days.

So you can pay to win. Or you can get a group of friends and farm the very small instances over and over and over again. It's a typical F2P MMO, nothing to write home about.

Gostei do jogo no início. Depois achei o jogo muito fácil, e isso me fez desistir dele. Virou meio que um nine night nights, aquele que você não se preocupa muito durante os combates, somente espanca os botões e pronto. Tirando isso tava legal.

Good classes, easy to pick up and figure out, mostly enjoyable community and hours to spend grinding which is the point of most of these games.

As always though, I would rather pay a flat fee and have the slope be the same for all. Spending 100+ hours to get to a point some with $20 seems to scare away the masses but with such a saturated market of MMORPG’s these days and most of them wanting a subscription, this is simply another mannequin along the window.

Neverwinter is quite a mixed bag: there's plenty of fun in all its quests and controls are adapted very well for the controller, but it's also pretty repetitive, technically lacking and with a microtransaction system that tends to be a little perverse.
