They messed up the atmosphere and everything man. Just isn't worth it.

Oh and it has censorship instead of actually fixing the necessary issues.

    BioWare is dead.

    Not the remaster we wanted.

In short ME:LE is a 60fps 4K port of the original trilogy (If you have a Series X or PS5) and not much else. ME:1 has had the most work done to it and I'm left wanting more, really I and most fans wanted a true remake not a high resolution port, the game is still fun and if you never played mass effect this it the best way to play it and best value.

There are changes to improve the implementation of DLC weapons and Armor, but its not perfect, for example the N7 Defender Armor in ME:3 which was a collectors edition exclusive is no longer avilable at the start and must be bought for 80,000 credits, this is strange because there is in game email from Admiral Hackett telling us that he bought it for Shepard (the player), which of course that is no longer the case,

Also 3 achievement are bugged and have yet to be patched so they unlock correctly, witch bring me to the point that the total Gamerscore is that can be earnt is 2915, that's less than if you bought all 3 original copy's of the base games with out the DLC, and there's not even a Achievement for completing the Arrival DLC in ME2.

So ME:LE is a Fun, bare minimum effort to update the ME:trilogy for new and old fans, and certainly not worth the asking price wait for it to be £30 at least

They really don't make games like this anymore. Though, it feels as if Bioware set out to make a remaster/remake of ME1 to begin with, as it has the most changes and improvements. As someone with over 1000+ hours of the ME trilogy before the LE, I've noticed quit a bit of improvements, and non-improvements.

Most of what I wanted in a ME1 remaster/remake have been accomplished, though a bit more should have been done to at least make combat identical to ME2, but it's not too far off. ME1 definitely feels way more modernized than its original release, but still feels a bit old. Some people complain that Pinnacle Station DLC wasn't included, but why are you complaining? Pinnacle Station literally added nothing of importance to the game, it was just a boring combat simulation. Good riddance I say. I also see that they didn't adjust any of the volumes in the conversations, most notably on the Normandy. I still struggle to hear many of Garrus' lines, his volume for his dialogue is still way too low. Bioware sure loves their lens flares, and they went overboard in ME1. They really need a patch to bring it back in some, as it's way too much.

Outside of graphics overhauls and stability, ME2 and ME3 remain mostly unchanged. However bugs and glitches are more prevalent than they were in the original releases. ME2 has lots of audio bugs, that make me wince at some of them. ME3 has AI bugs. For instance, using the Throw biotic makes many enemies permanently stay on the ground. It's like the AI thinks it's still in the air while being on the ground, unable to do anything. Animations for both games are off. While both had some in original releases, it feels like there's more of them. In cutscenes, when Shepard has their hand against their ear to talk over comms, pretty much every instance has their hand a good few inches off their ear, or a character had their hands wrapped weirdly against their gun. It seems as if they redid many animations from scratch, and they released a rough version of it without and additional oversight.

Overall, a great remaster, and I loved the ME1 improvements the most. Once the bugs and glitches get fixed through future updates, this will be the way to play the greatest series ever.

It is a must play, the remaster was created with love, you can see the graphics are improved but the history remains the same, I never played Mass effect and when I did with Andromeda I hate it. But this trilogy brings me joy to know Mass effect is excellent franchise.

The faces of the characters look like they were doused with oil. And even Andersen without lips. It looks so ridiculous ... About the lighting. The scale could be unscrewed in the original. And get the same rape eyes picture as in the remaster. Completely killed atmosphere. About the disgusting Russian voice acting has already been said. But Miranda's ass was removed. Representativeness and inclusiveness, yeah. It feels like BioWare's primary goal was to distort the original as much as possible, not improve. The game is clearly not worth the money. BioWare is in a protracted creative crisis. Andromeda, Anthem, and now this. Expand

Three of the greatest games ever made and the greatest video game trilogy out there.
The first game has seen numerous improvements. Graphically it's been improved quite a bit and the combat is now much smoother. There are a few bugs but nothing game breaking. I will also point out that some of the facial retexture's look a little off but only in rare cases.
£60 for all three games with

The definitive way to experience this truly LEGENDARY trilogy. Buttery smooth frame rate, 4K visuals and slightly improved gameplay mechanics. This definitely isn't your typical remaster it's better. If you've never played now is your time. I will say the game definitely doesn't feel like a 2021 game but it is still miles better than it was originally. To me this is GOTY

Don't know what the "critics" are smoking but it's clearly nothing good. This is nothing but a lazy console port of an overpriced glorified texture mod which already exists for free, even more broken than the original games.

And speaking of combat, ME1 is as clunky as ever, nothing remotely improved. No credible gameplay improvements in ME2 or ME3 either. Just lipstick-on-a-pig fluff screen content. And don't get me started on the ridiculous Origin overlay if you bought it on Steam.

Not even a discount offered to those who already have ME1/2 on Steam or ME1/2/3 on Origin - UNLESS you bought ME3 for a second time on Steam, despite having it on Origin since 2012.

The Bioware of old is long dead. They are the Husks, and EA are the Reapers. So save your money & stick with the original games. They're far more moddable & there's tons of mods to try.

Jumping back into the Mass Effect universe with a new coat of paint is fun. But I was hoping for a bit more than just a new coat of paint. The textures and models look good, but as far as I can tell they didn't touch the sound design or animations. With 14 years of tech to build out ME1, the end result is pretty but still has a lot of the janky mechanics that launched with the first game.Jumping back into the Mass Effect universe with a new coat of paint is fun. And I've now twice hit a bug where I am unable to re-enter the Mako, and thereby unable to leave a planet without reloading. At $60 for all three games and DLCs, it's a great deal for anyone coming to Mass Effect for the first time. While not perfect, especially when it comes to combat in Mass Effect 2, Mass Effect Legendary Edition is still a gem. Most of the changes were put into Mass Effect 1, and the effort made it far more replayable than the original. Mass Effect 3 holds up the best of the three, proving that regardless of the controversial ending, it is still one of the best gaming experiences BioWare has made to date. Mass Effect 2 could’ve done with some more tweaking to bring it up to 3’s combat. Legendary Edition gives hope for the future of the franchise.

Mass Effect Legendary Edition is the best way to experience one of the most memorable trilogies in video game history. The remake doesn't just capitalizes on the nostalgia of an entire generation of gamers – it keeps the original experience intact while modernizing it, opening the door to a whole new legion of fans who have here the greatest example of Bioware's magic.
