    If you approach Mafia III as an interactive journey, then you probably won’t have any issue with it overall. If you’re looking for a fully fleshed out title akin to GTA, then Mafia III could come off as a shallow release...I’m somewhere in the middle, but leaning more toward the former. The story and visuals are easily the strength of the game, and the gameplay isn’t flawed or repetitive enough to kill the vibe.

    A brilliant story with a great mood and fantastic soundtrack gets shadowed by too many problems like a dumb A.I., many bugs and an unoptimized engine. If you like 60s crime stories it's still a suggested game, but we were expecting much more from this series.

    An enthralling open-world crime drama tarnished only by a few largely inoffensive bugs, Mafia 3 succeeds in delivering an involving story with great shooting and stealth gameplay. Repetitive missions and a lack of polish mar the experience, but you'll still have a ton of fun playing Mafia 3.

    If I were rating the story and acting, I would put it at a 95 out of 100. But with all of the bugs and flaws in the gameplay, I am rating the entire package at 75 out of 100. I hope my feedback will be useful as a reminder to developers that six months more work on a game can pay off with huge dividends in quality.

    Lincoln is an incredible protagonist and New Bordeaux is a fantastic setting thematically, and it would’ve been great to see them put to better use.

    Mafia 3 content in the one sentence - go there, kill everything, return back and do it again. That simple it is. Sure, game has great sound, good driving system, not bad combat with simple stealth and works with racism controversy in game world. But there is a ton of stupidities witch kills whole fun.

    For example, why I have to set up, if takedowns will be done by knife or not in the game options menu next to settings of subtitles? Why it is not just in weapon selection like in other normal games? Why is the city full of bars, shops or gas stations, but there is no option to interact ? Why "car garage" in this game means just a menu with nine prepared and locked models? I want to steal and save my own cars and than customize it. Why police have a "attention warning bar", but do not react at nothing less than car demolition? Why is not possible to kindnapp anyone? It is a Mafia game and it was also in trailer.

    This game is clear copy of the universal Ubisoft game, it is more like AC, but in the bad way. Almost everything negative from the universal Ubisoft game template is included in this game, including "towers" for unlock visibility of map items . It has nothing common with the GTA. No side activities, no car tuning or stealing, no character customization. XO version has no special graphics, older GTA looks much better.

    And I am not a GTA fanboy, I don't think, that GTA is the top of the gaming world. But I have expected something similar in a freedom, in a style, but with Mafia theme philosophy.    … Full Review »

The Story seems not so bad at all, actually quite good and the sounds from the radio and while in missions are fantastic, but on the technical side, this game is a huge ugly mess. Game crashes all the time while loading, missions stands still and its only possible to move on after restart the game. The Game lags while driving so bad, if its a racing game you would have headache after 20 minutes. (Good you dont have to drive all the time). Elements pop in while you in front of them (for example - in night the lights fom the bars and so on, are just popping when you right before it - UGLY). Graphic errors all the time. This Game is just not finished! Its a shame!… Full Review »
