So, (free on Xbox GamePass, but can also be purchased on a bunch of platforms) is a really fantastic 'Telltale-like' Twilight Zone-esque game focusing on several characters from Variable State, the makers of Virginia, from a few years ago.

There's no serious puzzles, the minigame interaction is quite minor and there's only a couple truly meaningful choices (although you're making dialogue choices all the time, they don't generally significantly alter the story). You're mainly walking around in an interactive film/interactive comic like storyline that is quite well-paced. There's not even really even many scenes where you walk around an environment and investigate objects - most walking around you're with another character and making dialogue choices. So think Telltale more in the sense of interactive character drama than, wildly branching paths.

I liked that the game clearly had a focus on diversity in its character cast, and the writing was a top notch and very funny at times. It has genuine pathos and I did genuinely feel for our protagonist although they made the bold choice of making at least one of main three characters arguably quite unlikeable bordering on sociopathic.

Some of the animation work is a little goofy (the running animation, which you see a lot always looked a little silly to me) but never took away from the game's charm.

The only other issue I had, is the game doesn't seem to support Quick Resume on XBOX unlike most GamePass games, so I'd wait to finish any character's given chapter (which are never particularly long - 20 to 30 minutes at most) before taking breaks. The whole game is maybe a bit over five hours.

Given it's free if you already have Gamepass, and goes down well since there's no real 'challenge' I'd recommend everyone give this one a shot.

Last Stop is a 6 hour long interactive story adventure game.. much like a telltale game, Last stop is episodicor by the chapter, but closer to tales from the borderlands, oyul lbe going across 3 different stories, each one with therir own unique feel and I loved everyone of them… gameplay wise youll be ocassionally doing quick time events, and choosing dialog.. there is only one section where you actually have to find an item to move on, and the choices here I feel don’t really matter, there are only 2 endings for each character, however those endings are only dependent on literally the last choice you make for each, whch is disappointing and kills any sort of replay value which is important in a game like this.. but I don’t even care, the story telling is so compelling that I didn’t mind my choices didn’t matter, I didn’t mind that this was basically a 6 hour long interctive movie, theres so much charm and intrigue here.. one story following the lives of 2 men that switch bodies, trying to figure out how to fix it and live this way forever just incase, a story of a young girl following this stranger that brings girls home tha never come back out, and a story of a woman having marriage issues whos also in some goverent program, Theres comedy, mystery, and sci fi, and I loved all 3, I love the charcters and the world here…
Again the choices leave much to be desired as they just don’t feel like they matter, but I loved every moment spent with last stop and believe this is a must play for those that love a good story in their games.
    I give Last Stopp
    an 8.5/10

For a minute I was thrown off by the animations, but once I got over it I LOVED this game. Incredible writing! I have never seen dialogue quite as natural. Actually made the characters feel like friends. Storry was engaging and the dialogue even had a great humor!

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I really enjoyed this game, shame the chapters were over quickly, but that just made you want to play more and find out what happens next!
The gameplay is basic and sometimes the acting is cheesy! I loved all the characters and their different stories and how they join together..also loved the fact it was based in the UK! Minor spoiler…
I wish there was more exploring and information about the magical world! It just seemed cut short!
Also the endings can be abit morbid/depressing..especially poor Donna’s ending!

    Pros:
Wonderful cinematography, well-used soundtrack, good enough facial animations make a big difference. This is one of the best titles I played except the AAA ones, which does the cinematography right. All those cuts, switches are just like a TV series. There is even a very funny oceans 12 blitz-plan like sequence which was 10/10.
Cons: Yet, gameplay is pretty rough. Character

    Cons:
Yet, gameplay is pretty rough. Character locomotion is very clunky and not good at all. No interesting gameplay or puzzles. Plus, your choices does not affect the game pretty much none, besides from the dialogue text(but the result action of the scene is almost always same).

These are not a deal-breaker for me tbh, because I wasn't expecting much of a replayability, the way that the story is being told is fun and I liked it, because I haven't seen it being done that well out of the 3A realm.

Last Stop is a very fun indie that allows us to enjoy three completely different stories, showing us the harsh reality of everyday life with three characters who have a lot of personality and will end up running into each other in the last chapter.
