    Despite Halo Master Chief Collection's very poor release, nearly 10 years later, Halo Master Chief Collection is is amazing. They even went as far to improve Firefight, by adding Flood Firefight for Halo 3 ODST. Another thing that was impressive was they decided to add Custom Browser, Mod Support, and even added certain things that you could not drive in Halo Reach before, like the Sabre.Despite Halo Master Chief Collection's very poor release, nearly 10 years later, Halo Master Chief Collection is is amazing. They even went as far to improve Firefight, by adding Flood Firefight for Halo 3 ODST. Another thing that was impressive was they decided to add Custom Browser, Mod Support, and even added certain things that you could not drive in Halo Reach before, like the Sabre. It also had the great addition of Halo 2 Anniversary Campaign, which did justice in making the Halo 2 Campaign look amazing.     Had a really rough start during the beginning of its life but nowadays it's a really great package full of Blockbuster titles and tons of features and content it took a long time but 343 finally got this game back on track it's literally one of the best packages you can buy.

    While at launch, the game was a buggy mess almost as bad as a Bethesda game, but now it has become an amazing experience with hundreds of hours of content and 700 achievements. It simple: if you own an Xbox One or Series X, you need MCC.

    so i will only talk about some features in the game so let's start. Firstly I love the new graphics and the sound effects also the fact that you can change the graphics in the old games to the original is insanely good and nostalgic, also the multiplier is fire with tons of maps and bc xbox one stepped on with halo 5 which was undescriable, To conclude it is sure worth, especially the pcso i will only talk about some features in the game so let's start.     Insultingly bad port. Good, classic games ruined by god-awful net code and games as a service management. No support from the devs whatsoever, bugs from release still affecting players. Just an incredibly poor excuse of a video game

    I just got Xbox Game Pass for only a dollar and I had never played Halo in my whole entire life. I had always wanted to play Halo, as soon as the game was done downloading, I played Halo Reach the first mission was decent but by the end of the game I was amazed by how good the campaign was, I will soon play Halo CE. I then I tried the multiplayer, I expected it to not be too different fromI just got Xbox Game Pass for only a dollar and I had never played Halo in my whole entire life. The time to kill is so much longer than COD which I LOVED and it took much more SKILL than other FPS. The guns all stand out, Needler, Battle Rifle and so much more.     Enjoy a huge amount of campaigns at an affordable price. The Halo series shows that you can play FPS "fun" even with an Xbox controller.

    With this collection you can play basically every halo that have been created, the story mode make you feel the emotions that the developers tried to make you feel, the combat system is unique, enemies that in the long period became unforgettable. Good multiplayer which rapresents the classic halo.

Halo CE was broken for the longest time and took a community member to fix it.     늙었어도 역시 한번 명작은 영원한 명작...1,2편이 리마스터가 잘되서 3편이 찰흙으로 보이는 기현상까지 일어난다..역시 ODST와 4편부터 슬슬 질리기 시작하는건 어쩔수없는듯

    Launch day and technical PC port problems aside, It's one of the best collections ever. 6 games in 4K 120 FPS + a whole brand new anniversary graphic for Halo 2 which done a more faithful job than CE Anniversary. There's just so much they didn't had to do but done it for the fans.     In terms of value, MCC is unbeaten as you get access to multiple masterpieces both in terms of campaigns and multiplayers. The problem is MCC takes away many features from the individual games and adds problems (mostly multiplayer orientated). For example, the aim assist is way too strong in MCC which lowers the skill gap tremendously and can lead to a lot of trades and unfair gunfightsIn terms of value, MCC is unbeaten as you get access to multiple masterpieces both in terms of campaigns and multiplayers. The problem is MCC takes away many features from the individual games and adds problems (mostly multiplayer orientated). For example, the aim assist is way too strong in MCC which lowers the skill gap tremendously and can lead to a lot of trades and unfair gunfights when its controller vs mnk. Another issue is the MCC progression system, the level system is so boring it hurts and gives you no incentive to level up besides a slightly different icon instead of having unique levels like reach and 3 which help you to unlock new armor and stand out. Also, the way to unlock armor is as boring as it gets with a battle pass style system where you just unlock things in a set order pretty much instead of the reach style where you save up credits and level up so when people have rare items they are unique but in mcc everyone has these items. 343 Also decided to get rid of map voting/veto which sucks. Overall, for me at least multiplayer is not as fun as it was back in the day.
    Another HUGE problem is co-op campaign, if you dont host you will have a lot of input lag and delay for some reason which makes it very annoying to play, this is the worst on halo 2 where the lobby will crash all of the time forcing you to restart the mission. The original games didnt have these problems.
    I love the Halo franchise and MCC is great for allowing people to play all of the older games but the multiplayer is a huge downgrade from the original and the campaigns can be unplayable in co-op. :(    … Expand

    This wasn’t a fun way to start the series for me.. I hope this doesn’t discredit the rest of my reviews here but I didn’t like this game.. the story is good & the soundtrack holds up but that’s where the positives end for me.. for the Master Chief collection it would’ve been nice if they fully remastered this game too cuz it seriously needs some fine tuning after all these years, even with an enhanced version I still can’t get past a lot of the flaws here. This is a issue I have with the series as a whole but I’m not a fan of the physics. Yeah, jumping 10 feet in the air, having Moon gravity for vehicles or when you get melee’d by an enemy is funny sometimes but.. when it’s the cause of deaths is when I have an issue.. nothing will ever be worse than the vehicle sections in the first Mafia game but DAMN do the Warthog sections come in a close second for worst driving in a game ever. Especially the last one, I nearly tore my hair out. Not a fan of the control scheme either. I beat the game in about 5 1/2 hours even with the amount of times i got lost in the empty environments. Were they going for open world but gave up halfway through? Ugh. Don’t let your nostalgia cloud your mind on this one, I can see this getting a full remake in the near future & I think it would be much better for it. 4/10, maybe a 5 if I’m feeling generous some days. Halo 2: Anniversary Edition -
    Halo 2 was the only game I never got to play from the original series since I never owned an original Xbox. I played the remastered version why wouldn’t I? The game looks STUNNING in its updated glory too, on par with some games coming out today. I love the feature they implemented for Combat Evolved & 2 that lets you switch between the OG visuals & the updated ones with the click of a button, it’s a cool little feature I wish more remasters would take on. The story is more fleshed out this time, as is the gameplay. They improved upon everything from the 1st game, the mark of a good sequel. I really enjoyed how we get to see the Covenant’s side too, it’s always fun to play as the bad guys, especially when they’re aliens! The physics still aren’t my thing but from game to game they seem to be toned down a little more. It’s been talked about to death but the ending leaves a lot to be desired, the painful part of being the middle chapter in a trilogy. If I had to wait 3 years for Halo 3 like I’m sure many of you did back then, I’d be mad too. Still, it’s a 5 hour campaign that’s a ton of fun! 8/10.

    Halo 3 -
    Both Reach & Halo 3 made up a lot of my childhood. I sunk HOURS into the multiplayer modes with my little brother over the years & I have the fondest memories of 3 more than any other, so did the nostalgia hold up over 10 years later? YUP. This is still my fave in the series. The story never stops which can be exhausting in other games, but I finished the campaign in a little over 4 hours (shocked myself on that one tbh) & it’s consistently engaging with obviously massive stakes that I can finally appreciate as an adult. Somehow they improved everything even more since Halo 2. The linearity might be an issue for some but i appreciate Bungie making these games less open over the years. The short story might be an issue, I would’ve loved to play hours more of it but if it can cause such a good reaction in me in a short amount of time, I’m glad I experienced it. I would’ve loved to see this entry get as much love the other remasters got (despite it still looking great for a game from 2007, wow I’m old) so maybe someday we’ll get a remake of this one too. 9/10!

    Halo 4 -
    So I never actually played this one, I watched my lil bro play it when it came out &.. we both hated it. Now almost 10 years have passed & I’m playing it for the first time, I definitely don’t hate it anymore. However, it’s still flawed. The visuals are still stunning to look at, despite being a late 360 title. The soundtrack stands out a lot too, but all Halo games have bangers. They did change the gameplay a bit though, Chief can run now & they seem to have played with the physics again, not for the better imo. The story is more cinematic which is both good & weird to me. Some parts just kinda made the game feel more generic, something Halo never was in my mind. Seems like 343 had a lot of big ideas but only paid off a few of them here. The enemies are more bullet spongey than in other entries, & it definitely got on my nerves. Overall, it’s not bad, I’m glad I finally experienced it first hand. Visuals & soundtrack are solid, gameplay is good with some annoying as hell parts & enemies, & the story had so much more potential even with a decent pay off. Campaign took me a lil over 5 hours. 6/10.    … Expand

    One of the best games in existence. This may as well be the only halo game you will ever need, and the best one you will own. I've been a huge halo fan for most of my life and this was not a disappointment. One thing tho, you cannot rank up in individual games, so instead of clumping all the games together into one, this game is more of a halo arcade, which kinda made me sad.     Halo TMCC es una gran entrega estan 4 todo en uno todo mejorado, optimizado, remasterizado, es lo mejor ahora se puede disfrutar con gran experiencia de Halo TMCC excelente juego!. Y no estoy de acuerdo con 85 me parece sospechoso el juego deberia tener buena nota no 85

    Well, Halo Mater Chief Collection did not have the best launch in the game history but it offered so many great things that it was worth picking it up. When i first bought the game i brought it home, installed the game on my Xbox one and from the menu i had a good feeling about the game. i replayed Halo Trilogy in a month, first i encountered some minor bugs in Halo Combat EvolvedWell, Halo Mater Chief Collection did not have the best launch in the game history but it offered so many great things that it was worth picking it up. When i first bought the game i brought it home, installed the game on my Xbox one and from the menu i had a good feeling about the game. i replayed Halo Trilogy in a month, first i encountered some minor bugs in Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary and Remastered Graphics were...i don't know i never related to the remastered graphics so i changed the graphics to classic combat evolved but there was another problem...i could not change the audio to the classic combat evolved! it really pissed me off cause i had some great memories with the original combat evolved audio. Halo 2 Anniversary was a big surprise, remake cut scenes, improved audio, better lightning...i was not disappointed with halo 2 anniversary and i think 343 did a way better job with halo 2 anniversary than halo Combat evolved anniversary. Halo 3 played the same and i enjoyed it just like when it was released on 360 but halo 3 felt a little bit dated i mean the game was 8 years old at that time, i don't say halo 3 needed or still needs an anniversary just saying that they can improve it on some parts. Halo 4 on the other hand was a big surprise, i did not enjoy Halo 4 when i first played it but when i replayed it on master chief collection i thought it was a pretty good game, not as good as Bungie's Halo Trilogy but a nice addition that could have started a Better trilogy! (which did not happen cause of Halo 5) it was a little bit disappointing that reach wasn't included in the Mater chief collection but i was okay with it, then i went for the multiplayer and that's where the real problems happened, i was so excited to play halo 2's multiplayer or halo 3's multiplayer again but when i went for matchmaking, out of the ten matches i ended up playing three of them. Multiplayer was so flawed in the master chief collection that caused the developers to apologize for it! but you know it's 2020 and i replayed the master chief collection. it had been 6 years since i played Halo Combat Evolved and near 5 years since i played halo 2 and i enjoyed my time 100%. the bugs and everything were patched in the latest update and now in 2020 i can say that the master chief collection is kinda the definitive way to approach the halo games before halo infinite. i am really excited to replay Halo 3 and Halo 4 and Halo Reach (yes they finally added reach and ODST ) with the master chief collection on Xbox Series X with 120fps and 4k resolution!… Expand

    A disaster at launch, perfection to this day. The game is still receiving monthly/every 2 months season updates in 2021 to expand on the customisation, maps, and include a custom game browser. The greatest gaming redemption story. A must buy for anyone!

    The game has bad flashbacks to 2014 but other than that it is now astonishing, I love how they came back and fixed it and gave the game another shot! Halo 2 Anniversary runs in damn 4k and the Forge in Halo 3 is more expansive than ever!

    While releasing in an unacceptable state, 343 has stuck with and continually improved this game. Now, it is a brilliant product of excellent value. It has also enabled me to connect and relive incredible Halo experiences with my best friends almost a decade on. 10/10. Kudos 343.

    The disc includes Halo: Combat Evolved - Anniversary Edition, the 2011 remaster originally made for the Xbox 360. It has been upscaled to display in 1080p and 60 FPS. Unfortunately, it does not feature the Firefight mode found in the 360 release. But the multiplayer maps are now in their original graphics engine form. They had been previously updated for the 2011 remaster. Also included in this collection is Halo 2: Anniversary Edition. This update adds CGI cutscenes, new graphical and sound effects. Additionally, six of its multiplayer maps have been remade with the new graphics engine.

    Halo 3 is the least visually impressive of the four games on this disc. It was simply upscaled to display in 1080p and 60 FPS. Halo 4 was also just ported and not revamped, but its graphics still impress. Overall, The Master Chief Collection is essential for any Halo fan.     la colección es excelente, todo fan de la saga debe tenerlo o al menos jugarlo ya que no importa que ya has jugado estos títulos los gráficos mejorados y la accesibilidad de poder jugarlo en game pass lo hace que cualquier pero que tengas se borre

    These games belong to the years they been released. Despite higher resolution, still the same shooter and general look&feel. If you have nostalgia then you might like those. Otherwise, not a 2020 game by any mean, period.

    Exelente colección del jefe maestros, mejor resolución, mayor rendimiento, más calidad de texturas y nostalgia por doquier, este juego es muy recomendado si quieres revivir los tiempos de halo ce y halo 2 y halo 3 con ODST y Reach, es excelente con sus gráficos mejorados, muy recomendado

    all the haloes in a single game, remastered to 4k ... it's just amazing and almost all the haloes are great! The only thing I don't like is that it has no crossplay or cross gen. you cannot play with people from pc with xbox (or vice versa) or with those from X360. great.

    It took them way way waaaaaaaaaaaaay to long to fix the multiplayer to this game. But now that it is fixed, it is an absolute blast to play alone and with friends. It's a great way to recapture the magic of everything we loved about Halo so dearly.

    After enjoying very much 5G I took on to play all Halo games, I played the main ones. This collection is quite good there are many games packed within. If you already played 5G as was my case I think a good order to play the games would be chronological. So you can start with CE which is the one released for the OG XBox back in 2001, November 15th. CE is hailed as one of the greatest video-games ever made because many features that are ubiquitous in gaming and that are taken for granted in nowadays games can be traced back to HALO CE. But I just would like to say taht if you play it you have to take into account its age, it has aged a little bit, it's still playable, but I think the difficulty specially have not aged very well, bear that in mind, some missions can be quite tough, but it's totally worth the time travel to play this revoluationary game. I think only CE and Halo 2 are actually remasters, the others appear to be ports. But actually I don't feel like the 360 games have aged as much so they're much more playable. And also, maybe you might think that this is a game for the masses a friendly game and stuff like as if this is Microsoft's Mario game in popularity and relevance, actually it is, but I see Halo as more of a Hardcore game after playing them all. As I said some missions in these games can be quite tough and beyond that for CE, so if you'd like to play it on Legendary, I'd like to wish you the best of luck.

    Overall, great games, superb Franchise. I started this text with a question, I'll end it with another. I wasn't gaming in November 15th, 2001, the release date of both the OG XBox and HALO CE, and now I look back to it with some regret as I long to have taken part in this historic moment and to have followed/witnessed in real-time the amazing reviews, the overwhelming joy of players and what I believe, a Massive hype for HALO 2. Actually HALO 2 is currently my favorite of them all this was the last Halo for the OG XBox, I think it came out in 2004 and it brought a considerable leap over CE, I guess they just got bigger pockets after CE :-) So, the real question for me at least is:

    "What were I doing back in November 15th, 2001?"    … Expand

    Although admittedly quite broken in the past, the game has undergone a recent stream of updates in the last two year. Without a doubt, this is currently one of the Xbox One's best games. And with the introduction of a remastered Halo: Reach now apart of the collection, it has made the game reach a new height of popularity.

    Average score would be 8/10 but because of Reach it is 10/10.

    Multiplayer - Halo Reach is definitely best one. Halo 2A and 4 are really good and fun to play too. Halo 3 and CE aren't enjoyable at all.
    Spartan Ops - This is so bad created. Endless waves of enemies where you kill 1 and then die for 50 chapters. Nothing interesting just same things all over again.
    Firefight - Really great game mode with so many customizations.

    Overall it is fun and enjoyable with some exepcions. Achievements are actually well made so you have reason to play every game at all 4 difficulties and during that you can find all collectibles and Easter eggs.    … Expand

    Halo MCC in 2019 is a goldmine of superb shooters with great stories and ground-breaking multiplayer from Halo Combat Evolved to Halo 4 and the soon released Halo Reach on the MCC. The game runs so well on the XBOX ONE X and even on base XBOX One! If you own a XBOX ONE or Xbox Game Pass this is essential.

L'un des derniers patchs a même permis de choisir ce qu'on veut installer ou pas (solo ou multi etc) : ainsi, les 4 jeux en solo n'occupent que 56 Go ! une paille.

    Quoi qu'il en soit, même refaits ou remaquillés, les Halo restent des Halo avec leurs tics et leurs tocs, soufflant régulièrement le chaud et le froid ; l'univers en lui-même est assez intéressant mais la narration, les espèces d'histoires et les mécaniques laissent quelque peu à désirer. En tout cas, cette "Collection" est assurément bien présentée, charge vite et assure encore ses moments de grand spectacle pour peu qu'on ne soit pas (trop) hermétique au genre à lui tout seul que constitue la saga Halo.    … Expand

    4 of the best games ever (with a couple coming later) , all the multiplayer, remade cut scenes and remastered to 4k, this is a must have collection for everyone owning a xbox.

    There isnt a lot to be said here, the game came out with some multi player bugs but by the time Im reviewing it they have been ironed out.

    The value is so much its a undeniable 10.

    Ah nostalgia. I grew up on Halo:CE and playing it brings back memories. I enjoy playing the newer ones as well, but the multiplayer maps, prisoner and hang em high are my faves

    The MasterChief Collection was all I wanted. Replay old memories with new graphics and sound effects. The new cinematics really adds up to the game. Plus, you have all 3 other games with it. It's a very good deal overall for only 60$. It's a must have for your game collection on your xbox one.
